I went to Vermont Tire & Services Inc. to have my snow tires replaced with all seasons. The staff was friendly, respectful, and very accommodating. They got the job done quickly and for a fraction of the price compared to other local tire shops. They even did a free 21 point inspection with a pressure free quote for the work that needs to be done. Work done at Vermont Tire & Services Inc. is a great value and I would recommend to anyone!

I went there last year in the fall and I had scheduled an appointment early in the morning and dropped my car to get my winter tires switched over. I was told my car would be ready at 12:30, when I when back to pick up my car, they didn’t even touch my car. Told me I could reschedule. They were too busy. Why give me an appointment? No apologies. There is ALOT of places to go to get Tires. Also to get them Mounted & Balanced. With that said, not only were the people that work here at VT Tire & Services exceptional fun, they were extremely helpful to me as well. When I found out AFTER I bought the tires I was able to receive a front end alignment for FREE, rotation of the life of the tires was a GREAT added bonus! I am giving them a 5 star rate for this reason!

Vermont Tire & Service in South Burlington did an outstanding job setting up my new F250 with snow tires and extra set of steel wheels. Charlie spent the time listening to my needs for specific tires and went out to find a competitive package. After getting quotes from other local and internet tire shops, Vermont Tire found the tires I wanted and came back with the best value. I scheduled the work for the next day at 1pm and the service bay and technician were ready when I showed up - no waiting. The whole job took about an hour and I was pleased with the work.

I’ve been going to a much larger tire place in cold Hester for years. I was told about Vermont Tire through a friend. From the second I called for a quote to picking up my van after snow tires were out on it was some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. I’m a high impatient person and Vermont Tire did all the things I look for. Very nice, honest, quick to respond to calls and questions. I also was able to drop off my van over night and pick it up the next day instead of waiting for 3hours like other tire places. I called many places for pricing and Vermont Tire was the cheapest by far. Thanks Charlie for all your great customer service!

I was visiting from out of town and on my way home when I popped a tire. I went to Vermont Tire at 3:45 (they close at 5) in desperate need of a tire so I could drive home. Vermont Tire was so helpful, welcoming and understanding. They stayed open late to ensure I got the tire and made it home that night. Went there to get a set of winter tires mounted. Stood around for 5 minutes before anyone actually helped me. They tried to charged me 100 dollars (despite the sign saying 60) to mount a set of tires that I bought online because "they don't support their competitors". Last I checked I was trying to pay them to mount my tires, where I bought them is none of their business. Horrible service.

No appointment needed. On the same day, the new tires installed and I was really happy about that. The only thing that could be improved is that the tire aligment to be done at the time of tire replacement as per customers' request. Also, you only pay half the price for the alignment if the tire was purchased through the vermont tire. In general, the staff was really helpful and i enjoyed it very much.

Excellent service coupled with kindness for this out-of-towner! Please give them your business. I was visiting the area for work with subzero windchill & my tire pressure warning light came on. Facing a 3 hour dirve and unable to get the tires to inflate properly on my own, I pulled in as the lunch hour was about to begin and asked if they could possibly help me out. Despite the fact that the mechanics were supposed to be heading out for lunch, they had me pull in immediately and filled all 4 tires quickly and without fanfare. I tried to pay for their services, but they wouldn't take a penny. I'd DEFINITELY become a regular customer based on this experience alone if I didn't live out of state. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! ... If it was possible to give - negative stars I would. Lots of standing around and doing nothing. Warning their driveway is full of open metal wheel weights!!

Talk with them to order tires and took an appointment to have them installed several weeks in advances. Call them in the morning to told them I'll be 30 minutes late, it was fine with them. Got there to find that they haven't ordered the tires. Couldn't order them cause it's Saturday. Lose half my day because of their incompetence. Never think of warning me when I called. Never check the day before if they were set for next day appointment. What a joke.

Terrible experience. I took my car in for a change over, and when I got home found that.my clothing was covered with automotive grease. Then I followed a trail of grease through the house back to the source: a huge smear of the stuff all over my driver's side armrest. When I called to complain, the manager described an absurd series of hoops I would need to jump through in order for them to consider waiving the cost of the change over. They wanted me to bring the clothes in so they could evaluate the damage. They wanted photos of the ruined walls and carpet in my house. In short, they made sure it would be so much trouble to get this taken care of that I would just go away. Well, mission accomplished, guys. Congrats, you got to keep my hundred bucks. Honestly, if a local business is so hard up for a lousy hundred bucks (in compensation for several hundreds of dollars in damage caused by a sloppy mechanic) they can keep it. Over the years, I've dropped a couple thousand dollars at this place. Seems like a foolish way to alienate a repeat customer. Guys, if you're really that hard up for cash, give me a call and I'll come down there and buy you a sandwich. Follow up: so now I have a response from the VP of the company saying that they obviously need photographic proof of the damage done to my property, so they can evaluate whether or not to refund me for the changeover in compensation. This raises some fascinating issues: As a repeat customer, why isn't my word enough? After the expense and inconvenience they have already caused, I have to now do a photo shoot, send them the evidence, and hope that, in their judgement, it merits a refund? These guys have already wasted enough of my time; now I have to petition them to do the right thing? Ok fellas, you got me. This is an elaborate scam that I cooked up to try to get a refund on my tire changeover. Here's the takeaway: if you want a discount on your next set of tires, find a pic of some damaged property and send it to these folks, and I'm sure they'll compensate you.

We visited VTS first thing in the morning after our tire blew out the night before at a inconvenient time to be on a highway (5:15 p.m.....all shops are closed or near closing and they have to have tires delivered from a different area). Dave C. suggested choices of tires and let us know about rebates on them as well. We were pleased with the prompt, quality service. I have always had great service from Vermont Tire. They are fast, quote you the honest price up front, and have the best prices of any tire company in the area. I wont go anywhere else. These guys just do it right. Free front-end alignment and free tire rotation for life when you buy from them.

First one in line is not the first one served. Customer service is not great when they are busy. I came in at around 1p.m. and nobody was in line. Two guys were on the phone and computers. It took one of them 20 minutes to stop receiving calls to do the quick transaction of accepting my car for the next day. I called ahead and was already set with everything in the computer and he took my keys quickly when he eventually got to me. The day the work was supposed to be done as first in line and first out did not happen. I called a few times to check. The first time they blew me off and asked if they called. They said that they would call immediately when they are done. Within the next few times, they checked my order and said that they would have all cars that they accepted done before they closed. Later that night, with hysterical kids I picked up my minivan. It took a while because people were actually there. I overheard someone had to bring there car back because they had to do something with a hub cap. They were busy and I parked my minivan in a parking spot. My car should have been one of the first ones the next day. It was so busy, that they didn’t worry about mine because it was out of the way in a neat parking spot. My work was not done first because it not convenient for them.

I've tried giving VT Tire several chances at redeeming themselves, however, each experience has gone poorly. Although, they try to be accommodating, they usually end up doing more harm than good. I've brought 3 different vehicles in in the past 4 years (yes I've gone through several vehicles quickly) to have new tires/wheels installed. Upon each visit, I had damage to either 1 or all of my wheels. I am looking at new tires again, but after hearing another story from a friend of a recent visit, I have decided to finally provide my thoughts and to express them as I have felt let down providing the amount of business I have gave them and to look elsewhere. I know many local customers have good experience, I wish I could say the same. I don't ask for anything special upon my visits, but I do expect the techs to be courteous of my vehicle. One other item to note, on my last visit, I witnessed one of the techs rev my car engine in the bay,beyond what was necessary and then speed off on the test drive, only to leave black marks on the pavement, with my brand new tires.. Not impressed, to say the least.

I would indeed like to write a positive review but I can't. My experience at Vermont Tire & Service was non like I've ever experienced before. They are the most unorganized establishment in the Burlington area. My husband had made an appointment a week ago for my car. I walked in on Wednesday morning promptly at 7:30 a.m. to find that I wasn't even listed in their computer system. They couldn't find my order anywhere. Finally, they decided to go in the tire shop itself and found my order on a little dirty piece of paper. Finally, they wrote up my order in the system. To make a long story short. They put me under a different last name, after I had even spelled my name to them about three times, gave me the wrong tire brand after I had specifically told them I wanted a certain brand. Needless to say, I will never go there again. It was the most frustrating experience ever.
