I shopped three different Subaru dealers and came back to Jim Glassford at Twin City. He was knowledgeable and friendly but not pushy. Great experience!

This was literally the most painful and exhausting experience I have ever had at a car dealership. And just to be clear this dealership should receive 0 stars but google has a minimum of one. I purchased a Subaru Impreza from this dealership. After about 1000 miles I started having g issues with it. I brought it in to be looked at and after a lengthy wait they determined none of the work would be covered under the warranty leaving me with the 3000+ dollar bill. I begged and pleaded my case but no one would listen to a thing I had to say. Until I had to call the owner for the service department to listen to me. Eventually the service department ended up doing the work or so I thought... After about a month driving down the interstate my dashboard light up like a Christmas tree and my lights started doing all sorts if crazy things. I brought it in for the second time to only have the service department try and find a way out of the warranty work. This literally continued for 8 more months. I spent countless time and effort on a vehicle that I had just pruchased brand new to get fixed. Corporate had to get involved and eventually corporate told me to take my car to a different dealership. The new dealership not only fixed all my issues under warranty... But they did it with a smile and could not believe the run-around I was given at twin City Subaru. So please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. you will save so much time and heartache. In summary... Just do yourself a favor and find a different dealership. You won't regret it! Per the terrible reply below I felt it was necessary to point out a few things.... The wiring was done unprofessionally the first time by me... What's amazing to me is this same exact setup lasted 40000 miles in my previous car that I traded in to this wonderful dealership (Sarcasm completely intended). Now here's the kicker. I was told by the same service department the day I purchased the vehicle I could do the "wiring" (two cables to the battery.... Just if you were to add just about any aftermarket parts IE: HID headlights...) When my car started having issues the dealership was already blaming the wiring BEFORE it was even pulled into the shop.... My second issue with my vehicle happened after they were professionally installed... And once again before the car was even pulled into the shop the "wiring" was blamed. And continued to have not only electrical issues but mechanical as well. Hence the continued 8 months of issues. Simply put this dealership never took the time to actually listen to me until I called the owner. Only then did I receive half hearted service. Oh btw my new vehicle that I wired myself........ Works just fine.... My vehicle before the Subaru worked just fine. In summary, I was lied to in order to secure a sale. I was then given a hefty bill due to this lie. I had to call the owner in order to get some sort of "resolution". To continuously have more problems for months down the road... And when it's all said and done the dealership still will not admit to any of it's faults. If you buy here.... Good luck to you.

I had a really really good experience buying my FIRST EVER new car with Twin City Subaru. All of the staff with whom I dealt were kind and enthusiastic and reassuring. Eric immediately made me feel comfortable and walked me through everything I wanted to know. He was willing to let me test drive any car I wanted and I never felt rushed. He was never condescending or overbearing when explaining things to me and he knew everything about everything--so many different features--he was able to answer every question I could think of. And even brought up and answered questions that I didn't think of, but were important for me to know. Eric is the main reason I'm so happy with the car I chose--I didn't know what I wanted when I walked in, but he helped me think through my priorities and all of my options to find the perfect fit. And when I finally got my car Eric took the time to show me every bell and whistle--of which there are many, I was overwhelmed (I was stepping out of a 2006 into a 2018 and still thought that my 6-disc changer was fancy). Even while talking about prices and financing I always felt comfortable, which completely surpassed my expectations--I was so worried about feeling awkward and pressured. Desmond really made me feel completely comfortable also, going through the credit application and other financial paperwork. He was very personable and made sure I understood everything without making me feel talked-down-to.

Best New Car Purchase Experience EVER! After my beloved Honda CRV got totaled, I became interested in the Subaru Forester. After having a disappointing/frustrating experience at our local Subaru dealer in MA, my husband then located the car that I was looking for at a dealer in Vermont. Jeff Moser promptly answered our email inquiry and called us on the phone and quickly worked us up a very fair deal. He was responsive and helpful and direct and a true pleasure to work with. Our only glitch was that we should've paid with a certified check to insure immediate processing of the title (rather than the easier process of bringing a personal check). However, even with this out-of-state-glitch, Jeff made sure the paperwork got expressed to us in time for me to meet the 7 day MA deadline for registering my car. It should be noted that he also fast tracked some extra accessories that I wanted added to my car for purchase and it was ready, as promised, with all my personalized bells and whistles!! Everyone at Twin City Subaru was very friendly and welcoming. For someone who usually HATES going to any car dealer because of the "circling vulture" feeling, I was VERY appreciative of this painless and enjoyable experience! Oh, and they were wonderful allowing our lab, who joined us for the ride, to rest in the AC building during our transaction. In summary: An A+ car buying experience.and I HIGHLY recommend Jeff Moser!

I emailed multiple dealerships and Bryan Chenvert responded. Twin City gave me the best walk out the door price. It was enough of a savings to justify driving 80 miles to purchase my vehicle from them. No gimmicks or game playing. Very responsive to my questions in a very timely manner.

Tony was very easy to talk to, communicate with, informative and helpful. We were able to discuss the models, test drive and come and go, without pressure. He followed through with requests and returned calls quickly with integrity and detail. I would definitely recommend and return to him with another Subaru purchase. I gave the rating I did, because I felt all parts of the experience were the best they could be.

I just picked my 2017 Impreza up from Twin City because my heated seats aren't working. I get in it and drive down the road before I notice that someone took a screwdriver to pry the switch out of the console. There is now damage to the console in at least three different spots (I had to go back to work and didn't have time to look closely) and scratches just below it, none of which were there when I dropped it off at 7:20 this morning. I have no problem taking responsibility for damage that I have caused to my own vehicle, but I am in no way responsible for this. My car is a YEAR old and there is NO reason that their service department couldn't take the switch out of my car without doing damage. If I had wanted to buy a used car with previous damage from someone else I would have, but I figured buying new I wouldn't have that problem and hoped that I could trust a Subaru dealership to provide satisfactory service, at the least. The car is a lease and I will now be held accountable for damage that their technicians did to my car. Nobody bothered to mention this to me when I picked up the car, but I understand that the staff at the service desk likely had no idea so I am not going to put the blame on them. I work hard for the things that I have and take pride in doing so...unfortunately their service technicians cannot respect that.

I had heard positive things about Twin City Subaru, and they were very polite, attentive, helpful and persistently communicative throughout the new lease process. I had been concerned when, afterward, for a three-- week period in which I called and emailed for assistance with the former lease and a specialty tire question, I received no response from any department. However, Paul the general manager has reached out after reading about my concerns, and I have hopes that the issues will now be resolved. I appreciate the follow-up and the courtesy.

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Joe Sweeney at Twin City Subaru. I had an accident a few days before and was looking for a new car in a pinch, so I was really a salesperson's dream! This being said, I never felt remotely pressured or taken advantage of, in fact my experience was just the opposite. Joe was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. His easy going nature allowed me to clearly make the decision about purchasing my new car, with out any added pressure. Three months later I can honestly say I had a great experience because of Joe, and I would recommend Twin City to any one who is thinking about purchasing a Subaru!

Steve Ames

Great cars. Honest. Personal.

Kenneth Stay

Great service, great price for oil change.

Tammy McGuriman

As always, great service!

I went to Twin City Subaru to have some recall work done on my Forester. When I called to make the appointment, I had to wait a few months to get the work done but that was the only negative part of my experience. The recall work was not critical so I was OK with the wait. The rest of my experience with the service department was excellent. I waited a few hours while the work was being done (which I had been told ahead of time) so I had a lot of time to observe the dealership. My impression is that it is a very well facility.

I have used this dealership before for service and found them to be extremely honest. When I needed a car I immediately thought of them and was not disappointed in the service and followup that occurred when negotiated a price and a loan. This dealership was very easy to work with and very open without being pushy. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for either a new or used vehicle.

Salvatore Rascati

I went in expecting to deal with a pushy salesman and Dan totally proved me wrong. I left hugging him! I would recommend going to see Dan Barone to anyone. He's a good guy and honestly wants to help people. Best car buying experience I've ever had.

I want to start by saying I did research for seven months before buying a car at Twin City Subaru. I Searched Maine, NH and Vermont and found their reviews to be great and now I know why. I had emailed to get a quote on a Subaru Outback that had just come in and had no photos of it online. I was contacted right away and I was even sent a little video clip on YouTube from Alex Nicholson next to the car I was very interested in. My husband and I made an appointment to see them two hours away and I'm glad we did. We loved it. While we were there our daughter locked us out of our car. They were more than happy to help us break into the car with their kit, that made my day. We ended up getting the car at a great price with the help of Desmond Culcleasure. He was great and super friendly as well. I really couldn't have asked for a better team of sales associates. They even called a week later to make sure we were happy and all set. They will see us again for sure when we need another vehicle.

My husband and I recently purchased a new Forester at Twin City Subaru and we were so very pleased with this dealership and especially with Anthony Goldsmith, the salesman we dealt with there. He is such a pleasant and helpful young man, a real asset to the dealership. Overall, we felt we were dealt with in an upfront and honest way and would recommend Twin City to family and friends.

Kiley Briggs

So far so good! I had a great experience working with Jeff picking out the right pre-owned car for my needs (2014 Crosstrek). Jeff came in on his day off to meet with my girlfriend and I after we decided on a car and had it warmed up and loaded with the roof rack and extra tires before we even got there. We were both pretty on edge when we walked into the dealership due to our experiences with car salesmen at other places, but Jeff wasn't at all pushy and I think did a great job listening to our needs and finding the right car. Desmond helped us figure out the best way to finance the car and we were out the door with our new car in short order. A+ dealership!

Katie Greene

Anthony was awesome! I wanted something similar to my wrx but more practical for my daily life. He suggested I try a 6 speed forester, so I felt like I was in a sports car still (more or less), and I loved it!! After test driving 8 vehicles, this was the one for me! Subaru is extremely reliable and safe which was my number one priority. I recommend them to everyone!!

Sal Alfano

We hadn't owned or driven a Subaru for many years. Eric answered all of our questions in a friendly, relaxed way, and helped us sort out our options and settle on the Impreza.

Anthony at Twin City Subaru was wonderful, so were the other staff. Buying and/or trading a car is a big deal for me. Anthony helped me to feel confident about the experience. He was very transparent, friendly and personable. The experience I had yesterday at this dealership was the best experience I have ever had with a car dealership. Thank you!

Kush Bush

I was in the market for a new car and was not sure which dealership I wanted to go to. Location wise Twin City was convenient so I stopped in and started looking at the WRX that was soon to be mine. Anthony came out and we started up a conversation. Most people don't expect a lot of the authentic elements Anthony and the dealership has when buying a car. That is why his service and attention to who you are as a person really makes the car buying experience seem like you are talking to a friend, who wants to help you. Most people find the car buying experience stressful even after buying the car. Anthony made it almost therapeutic and put your mind at ease about the financial decision you were making. Being only 21 I was glad to have a young salesperson like Anthony help me through the process. I'm a happy and excited guy with a new WRX all thanks to Antony and the Twin City Subaru team!

Lindsey Warren

Eric Lane, in sales was great to work with for test driving, trade in and purchase. He is a personable guy and a straightforward salesman: helpful and not high-pressure. Eric is a down to earth guy and I actually enjoyed spending the day chatting cars. He asked lots of good questions to find a good match for me. The whole process was fun and easy. Eric was also helpful in arranging the undercoating service on my new purchase and walking me thru all the bells and whistles with the electronics in the car. Desmond in the biz office was also very kind, patient, and helpful explaining some of the add-on options during my purchase. The dealership building is an easy place to relax and have your family along, including puppy. (pop corn and drinks to occupy the kids). Thanks! I would definitely refer friends to Eric and Twin City Subaru. Oh...and i love my new Impreza Hatchback!

Katarina Lisaius

I leased my first car from Twin City Subaru and had a very enjoyable experience. As my lease end was quickly approaching, I was happy to return to see what my options were. I will say I was leaning toward purchasing my car out of the lease because it never failed me on Vermont's dirt, snowy, and winding roads. Anthony Goldsmith at Twin City talked through many options. He was very kind, articulate, and listened to what I wanted in a car. As a woman, visiting a car dealership alone can be intimidating and he not only talked through the options with me, helped me with what I expect and want in a car, weighed out the pros and cons; importantly he helped me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. One week out, I am very happy with my car - I have more miles on my lease, some upgrades, and still have the maintenance plan included. I highly recommend Anthony and Twin City Subaru.

Cairsten Keese

My husband and I had a great experience at Twin City. We worked with Anthony who was excellent and easy to talk to. I appreciated his honesty and how he thoroughly explained everything. I left with exactly what I was looking for and couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend other folks to work with him at Twin City in the future.

Rose OConnor

Very nice people, comfortable atmosphere. They make you feel at home.

UPDATED: My reviews got their attention and my refund was finally issued. Bumped my review up to 2 stars, as it still took about a month for this to be resolved. I had simply ordered a windshield washer pump from these people. They took the $55.00 out of my bank account for the total cost. A couple of days later, I received an email saying that it could take 10 weeks for the pump to come in, so I decided to cancel my order. I received an email saying that I would receive a full refund. It has been about a month now, and I have even emailed Monty Grandfield, who I believe to be the manager, multiple times and this place refuses to refund me the $55.00. I am not going to simply let you keep my money! My bank account shows that you took the $55.78 way back on February 13th, see my attachment, and yet I have NOT received my refund. Your company is awful and I will never, ever be doing business with you again, but I am still owed my damn money!

Best Car Buying Ever While shopping around for a new vehicle, we had a bad experience at another Subaru dealership but really wanted to consider a Subaru. So we travelled to Twin City, walked in the door and Tony greeted us warmly. He set about asking questions to determine our needs. He compared 2 different vehicles with us, took us on a test drive, all the while explaining various features. Tony did his job of selling like a true professional, without making us feel pressured. Despite the dealership being very busy, the atmosphere was relaxed and so friendly. All of our questions were answered, a fair price was negotiated and we were thrilled with the deal. Every aspect of the financing was explained clearly. This was the best car buying experience ever for us. We will definitely recommend Tony and the folks at Twin City Subaru to everyone!

We first chose Twin City to visit in person because of the personalized video of the vehicle that Tony made (outside) on one of the coldest days of the year. Within an hour of expressing our interest, the video showed up in my inbox. It was just a simple walk around and a quick description of the car, but the fact that Tony made that extra effort really impressed me. We actually had no intention of buying a vehicle that particular day, but the deal Tony gave us on our trade-in and his no pressure manner put us right at ease and the made the buying experience extremely enjoyable. My wife and I would highly recommend the dealership. Ask for Tony!

Dave Airoldi

If you are looking for a no-pressure Team for your next car purchase experience, the Team at Twin City are for you! Anthony in Sales and Alex in Finance were very patient in listening to our needs and helping with several follow-up questions. Not only would I recommend their services but I also hope to continue doing business with them in the future.

I was looking for Subaru, but not sure which model. I had done web searches on the Crosstrek, Outback & Forester. I am a quilter so I need space to take my sewing machine and tables to quilting retreats. Jeff pulled all 3 models together on the lot so I could sit in them and really get a sense of the space for my purpose. I was able to ask question and talk to Jeff openly about what I thought and I evaluated each one. When I sat in the last one ( the Forester) I knew. Seeing the cargo space also was a selling point. I took Jeff for a ride, putting the car through some testing for my driving style. The car responded well, and so did Jeff. I was able to pick a color (Bronze) from the lot and was able to drive it home that afternoon. This was my first cross over type vehicle and for my equipment, it will be easier to load then the trunk of a sedan. I am super happy Jeff took the time to let me do a comparison, without pressure or prodding. Every morning I get in to drive to work and say " this is a nice car, and I deserve it".

Our Saleman, Anthony, was very professional and exceptionally honest throughout our two visits to the dealership. In fact, he made me rethink the way I expect "car salesman" to act. He was very helpful every step of the way, never applied any pressure, and it felt like he was legitimately trying to help us find exactly what we wanted. In the end, he did! Very satisfied with the beautiful outback we bought and we feel like we got a great deal. Would certainly reccomend Anthony to anyone who is looking for a new or used car. Great guy who will work hard to get you the best car for your budget. A+

Six or seven years ago we bought a new Subaru Forester from Burlington Subaru (Vermont), and were very unhappy with the attitude of the people who headed up the service dept., as well as the salesman we talked to when we decided to buy a new Subaru in 2010. That is when we decided to try Twin City. Our daughter had bought a Subaru Forester from them the previous year, and raved about the great sales people and service people there, so we decided to give it a try. I called to set up an appt. and talked to Jim Glassford, over the phone. Jim made himself available to accommodate our busy schedule. When my husband and I met Jim a few days later we were impressed by the amount of knowledge Jim had, regarding the Subaru Forester, which is the specific car we wanted to purchase. Jim was straightforward, and articulate, and willing and able to meet our needs for financing. After meeting and dealing with Jim, we knew we would go back to him and Twin City for our next Forester. We recently decided it was time to trade our 2010 Forester in for the 2014 (due to the high number of miles we put on our cars each year). Once again we were able to negotiate a good price through Jim Glassford. We explained what we wanted, what our budget limitations were (we're retired), and what we hoped to get for a car. Jim more than met our needs, and got us exactly the car we wanted. We are so happy with the model he suggested! We know that we will go back to Jim, in a few years, when it is time for another trade. It is refreshing to sit down with someone who is genuinely family oriented, and who is as interested in hearing about our family, as we are in hearing about his. When we negotiate with Jim, he makes us feel like valued customers by never rushing us, and answering all of our questions thoroughly. We highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for either a new or used Subaru. Paul and Stephanie Rogers

My wife and I purchased a 2018 Impreza here early in 2019. Six months later, I bring my new to me 2008 Legacy in for a recall repair. Our prior salesman remembered me and some personal details about me and the car. Some places forget you as soon as you go off of the lot. I drove here, past the closer Subaru dealership, for a reason.

I went to Twin City to trade in my front wheel drive car for an AWD Subaru. I was very lucky to have Anthony for a sales person. I had such a great time working with Anthony to find the right car for me. I never would have thought of the XV Crossover, but Anthony somehow knew this was the car that had everything I was looking for to feel safe on the road in all conditions. Anthony is, most of all, a genuine and sweet human being. You can tell he truly loves working with people. Thanks Anthony!!

Miccal McMullan

The people at Twin City are great to work with. They listened and worked with us to help us get into a new Crosstrek. So far Service has been great.

Scot Sweeney

Joe Sweeney was my first contact when my vehicle of 13 years retired. He asked me several questions, listened to my goals & needs and then started giving me the best options for what I was looking for. The process was made very simple and very comfortable by Joe. I felt Joe not only explained all the ins and outs thoroughly but went above and beyond to show me all the features of the vehicle I purchased. I would recommend him to anyone I know looking to purchase a vehicle. I feel that he tells people not what they want to hear, but exactly how it is. He's honest, straight forward and listens to the customer which is all I ever want as a customer. Thank you.

J Lewis

I have worked with Twin City Subaru since 2007 when I started bringing my Impreza to the service department. I continue to be pleased with their service, knowledge and friendliness. When it was time to lease a new vehicle I sat down with Jim Glassford. He is professional, knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly and helpful and always available to answer any questions or concerns. I had inquired at two other dealerships but Jim came up with the best price, the best deal possible to trade my Impreza for a 2010 Forester. I was very happy with my new vehicle, the lease experience and I continued to bring it to Twin City Subaru for service even though I moved out of the area. In October 2012 I was ready to trade again. Just before this, my Forester had gone over the 36,000 mile warranty and had a $500.00 service bill but Jim and the service department worked to get it covered under the warranty and I didn't pay a dime. I was thrilled. I was ready to downsize and try the newly remodeled 2013 Impreza. Once again I inquired at two other dealerships but Jim at Twin City Subaru came in with the best deal possible. I was happy with the deal but not so happy with the Impreza. So, only eight (8) months into my 36 month lease, in July 2013, I contacted Jim and told him of my unhappiness with the Impreza. Jim and the entire dealership worked very hard to get me out of my lease and into a brand new 2014 Forester. I didn't think they could do it without it costing me a lot but they did and I am forever grateful. There are not adequate words to state my appreciation and satisfaction with Jim Glassford, Twin City Subaru and their service department. They always go above and way beyond with their customer service. Here's another example: by the end of next month, October 2013, I'll be ready to bring my Forester in for it's 1st 3000 mile maintenance service. I called to inquire what a set of snow tires cost. I had seen a 10% off snow tire coupon on the Twin City website but it expired 10.01.13. When I called, I was told they would honor the coupon even if I came in after the expiration. Need I say more? Twin City Subaru ROCKS! Jim ROCKS! And the service department ROCKS! I am a customer forever. Sincerely, Lorraine H.

Tony Taylor

My daughter and I had a great experience buying her a used car. The price was fair and they allowed us plenty of time to check it out, including putting it up on a lift. The car came with a 12 month/12,000 mile wide-ranging guaranty that included manufacturer-required service (this was based on the condition of the car and is not always available) which decided the deal for us. The salesman Isaac and the business manager Desmond were quality people. The only negative was having to endure being sent to a room for an attempt to sell us all manner of extended warranties. This was so even though I made it clear at the outset that we were pressed for time and weren't interested. (The guy in the room--not the salesman or the business manager--said it "was legally required" although as a lawyer I doubt that highly.) Despite this heartburn I still give them a superior rating. I suggest in the future they consider making it easier to opt out of this.

Tony Fletcher was excellent from the minute we walked through the door. He was patient, listened to our needs, and educated us to make the right decision in the purchase of a 2014 Forester. As soon as the lease for our 'other' car is over, we'll be back to purchase our second Subaru in the Spring of 2014. We highly recommend Tony at Twin City Subaru in Berlin, VT!

We went to Twin City (without an appointment!) just to look at new Outbacks. Eric Lane met us and helped us find the perfect vehicle for our needs. No pressure, answered all our questions, was very patient and professional and although we hadn't really planned on it, we came home with a new car that day! Great friendly service made it a pleasure to do business with them.

My wife and I went to Twin City Subaru to look at a used Subaru Forester. Instead, we ended up buying a new XV Crosstrek. The entire experience was outstanding and we were very pleased at how hassle-free it was. I highly recommend working with Tony Fletcher. He was very professional, great to work with; he went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Tony is very friendly and knowledgeable, and more that anything is very patient and customer focused.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jim when we purchased our first lease in 2010. I can see why he's still a valued employee at Twin City. It's like sitting down with a family member you really like and haven't seen for a while. He puts you very at ease with the whole process (which is a minimal process as it is!) and is very up front with the total costs involved. I was also impressed with how this dealership works together as a team. I have no problem referring Jim to my friends or family! Thanks Jim!! Don & Sue

I just bought a new Forester from Joe Sweeney. I don't really like cars that much and hate bare knuckle high pressure salesmanship. Sweeney seemed to get on my wavelength right away providing information I valued (such as the absence of timing belts on Forester) He didn't try to sell extras or options, We took almost 2 months making up our minds during which Joe kept in touch now and then without the manic phone calls from other dealers we shopped. i definitely recommend this guy.

Worst service, last year had my viscous coupler replaced in Transmission and they left the drive shaft bolts loose. Tried telling me it was cupped tires causing shake. Now they just did airbag recall and now my A/C don't work and took a chunk out of my dash, also messed up wires on satellite radio. I'm done with them they are a butcher shop.

Dylan Gates

Joe was upfront about what I was paying for the vehicle and what he was offering for mine. He did not try to hide it in the numbers like some salesmen do. Even their initial offer for my trade-in was reasonable; most dealerships try to really low ball trade-ins.

I called because the battery in my 2019 Subaru Outback with less than 1000 miles on it repeatedly dies. If I don't drive it for more than one day, the battery is dead, regardless of how much I drive or "charge" it. The representative who I talked with responded to this by saying that the batteries on these cars are small and that I need to drive it every day or else the battery will die. I then suggested that it could be an alternator issue and she responded by saying " I haven't seen more than one alternator issue with these cars during the last 5 years so I doubt it's that". Her tone was dismissive and when I asked if I could take it in regardless, her response was that they were booked for the next few weeks at least. Regardless of the lack of customer service, how is this an acceptable response? Even if this is a factory issue, no brand new vehicle should come with an embedded problem like this. No one should have to worry about driving their vehicle over the weekend so that it starts Monday morning.

It takes a long long time for an oil change, BUT they have a nice waiting room and they do try to help as much as possible.

Looking for recall repair?? I have just had a horrific experience at Twin City Subaru. I have a 2012 Impreza which I waited six months for my recall appointment, three of which the car was not driven. I understand that they are very busy in regards to these repairs. I was asked the morning I arrived for my long awaited appointment that I may need to reschedule because there were no loaner cars available. After I was told I would be pushed back out until December I simply asked if they could make some sort of loaner work or reimburse me for a rental. This was handled within a half hour of my arrival. I explained to the administrator I worked with that my car was being sold as soon as the recalls were performed and that my original plan of repairs was no longer valid. I requested a new battery and the recalls to be addressed. I had to follow up 4 times to figure out when I would need to drop the loaner back off. I was not rushed to receive my car but was concerned with the lack of flexibility in my schedule for a 2.5 hour round trip to come up last minute. My original quote was for 2 days. I dropped my vehicle off Thursday morning and I picked it up- Monday night. I would rather have it done right than rushed, plus I had a loaner in the meantime. I was told that my car was able to be pulled into the shop Monday around 12:30 and received notification that the vehicle would be ready to pick up that evening by 3. The same short notice scenario I was trying to avoid. There was work done that I did not ask for. After negotiating with Paul I was forced to pay for a portion of these charges for services I did not request. I left the dealership feeling taken advantage of but hopeful that the work that was done was done well. I noticed the smell of oil on the drive home and pulled over. By this time the service department was closed. After inspecting the car I have 2 new chips in my windshield, the a/c was left unhooked, partially drained and I did not receive a battery replacement. I came specifically to Twin City instead of Burlington Subaru because of reviews. As of right now I have nothing but horrific things to say about this outfit and my experience with their GM. I have never been so irate in my life. I am in the market for a 2018- 2019 vehicle but after the way I was treated I don't have any reason to purchase a vehicle from this establishment nor will I allow them to "fix" their mistakes.

Excellent!

I have purchased 4 cars from Twin City and will continue to go back. Tony was very professional and down to earth. I love my new car!

Great if buying new. Well great when you are buying new. First car I got was new. Had it just over a year. Was great. Second car 43k wasn't a Subaru. No warranty. Problems from day 1. After a few months they stepped up and fixed for free. A month and a half latter. Many many more problems. I got a loaner they called couple days latter said car needs 3k before tax min worth of work. Closer to 4k BC they may need to replace other things BC car has so much rust under. Said they will talk about what will happen with car and call back. I've put just under 6k miles at this time. A month goes bye. Seems they haven't even talked about it. Couples days latter they call and tell me they will give me 9,200 for the car. And thats then being nice BC car isn't worth that with all the problems. And they are just being nice BC I've been there before and really should only give me 7k. I was able to talk them up to 9,800. But I did tell them I'll never buy another car there less it was for the best for me. I ended up going to Burlington Subaru and getting a new car. some people will say you bought a used car no warranty. In my eyes I bought something that had a lot of problems and they were just waiting for the right person to walk buy and pick it up. This dealership is horrible with service. The manager doesn't Care and he will go out of his way to make things worse for you before he did anything that would help you. If anyone else deals with something like this I hope they share. So again if you buy new they will treat you well. Put a smile on and hand you the keys and get you on you're way. After that good luck..

We recently bought on the Impreza Subaru there and had a very good experience. The service department is excellent. the staff are friendly and helpful and in one case just came out to the car and did a diagnostic on the spot. I was very impressed.

Liza Vedder

Just bought a car. These guys were fantastic, I feel like I was given a fair price on my trade and a really excellent price on my gently used Outback. My first experience there was in 2012 when their service department rebuilt my forester engine when it blew at 61,000 miles. Turns out there was also an odometer recall on my car that they found...and discovered my engine was still under warranty. The $5k job was free. That's the kind of integrity and service I expect of Subaru, and this dealership delivers. Nice team to work with, I'd buy a car there anytime. PS- as a single woman, buying a car can be exhausting, there is still a lot of bias in how you are treated. These guys won't talk to you like you're an idiot. That gets them 11/10 in my book. Someday that won't get folks extra points, but for now it's important to note.

From the time we walked into the dealership, we were pleasantly surprised by the genuine friendliness of all employees, from the General Manager, every Sales Consultant, the receptionist to the Financing Expert. Then, working with our sales Consultant, Joe Sweeney, we found just the right person for us! He was fully engaged with us, offering us information, asking about our needs, making suggestions and maintaining a professional manner, but also being a real and honorable person. I've purchased many cars and I can honestly say that Joe Sweeney was one in a million. (P.S. Everyone was also very welcoming our Golden Retriever who came along to be sure his seat was the right size for him!

We just got our 3rd Subaru from Twin City. Dan is an awesome salesman and Desmond and Chris are always nice to deal with, too! Thank you guys for working with us.

christen carey

My experience with Dan and Desmond was great. I was made to feel comfortable and everything was done to get me to the price and payment that I wanted to be at.

I have purchased a vehicle at Twin City Subaru in the past, and I went back to investigate lease end options. Jeff Moser met us in the lot, introduced himself, and helped my wife and I look at and test drive a 2014 Subaru Forester. He was thorough in his explanations of new features and improvements over past models, and his manner is extremely relaxed, friendly, and un-assuming. He was responsive to our financing requests, and he and the sales manager worked to help us come to an affordable and agreeable payment. I feel that he has gone above and beyond my expectations for customer service in sales and follow through. I have had three years of experience with the service department at Twin City, and I find them to be excellent in both quality of work and courtesy with customers. I have had a very enjoyable experience with the sales and service team at Twin City Subaru.

Dana McCarthy

I was impressed with Jim's no pressure, friendly approach. He let me check out the cars on the lot without pestering or lingering around. He asked if there were any questions, answered them and let me decide. Much appreciated.

Janelle Gilbert

Always awesome sales, service and friendly people

Bought my first brand new car there almost a year ago and still love it! My buying experience was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, they made me feel right at home! I would recommend Twin City Subaru to anyone who is in the market for a new (or new-to-you) car!

Paul Bowles

I recently leased a 2014 Subaru Forester from Twin City Subaru. This is the fourth Forester I have had and I couldn't be happier. The sales rep, Jim Glassford, was fantastic. He was professional, courteous, and at all times went out of his way to make my lease experience a true pleasure. As a result, we traded in my wife's Toyota Matrix and leased an Impreza. Once again, Jim was superb. I highly recommend this dealership and in particular, Jim Glassford.

Vik Mills

I last purchased a vehicle in 1996 and was not terribly excited about dealing with the types of salesmen I did back then. However, after research we decided on Twin City, back in April of this year. Great decision on our part! I'm so glad that Jim Glassford 'just happened' to be the salesman we spoke with on the phone - we got lucky. He was down to earth, friendly, real and incredibly easy to talk with and deal with. He stayed late to show us that 'one more' vehicle - which was the one we ended up purchasing. The price for the vehicle was very competitive, the knowledge of our salesman was outstanding and the other staff talked to us like we'd been shopping their for years. The parts department worked with us effectively and efficiently also, on accessories we wanted. Would we use Twin City again and recommend them to others? Absolutely. Would we use Jim Glassford again? Well, anyone that can relate to us on a 'veggie dog' level can't be beat - sorry! ;)

Bobby McGee

Mike was very helpful, finding out in detail what kind of vehicle I was looking for;age, price, mileage, options. I was able to get just the car I was looking for, at the price I could afford.

Scott Brumenschenkel

Joe Sweeney was my first contact at Twin City and a great one. I really appreciated being spared the "sales rap" and pressure that I have experienced at other dealerships. Joe was also honest if he didn't know the answer to something, and quick to find the answer from his colleagues. I was sold on the Outback before I even visited Twin City but Joe helped to make the purchasing process both fun and informative. I expect we will be returning to see Joe when my wife's Toyota gives up the ghost.

Just wanted to let anyone know that Twin City Subaru would be the place I would recommend to my mother to go buy a car!! This dealership will take very good care of you to ENSURE that your needs are met. Not, their "needs" but, your needs! They are NOT just there to make a sale but help ensure that you get the car that "you" want. I just purchased a XV Crosstrek and love it and appreciate all the work that Mike Rivet and Christopher Davis went through to make the sale go smoothly and to make sure my expectations were met!!! Thanks again!!!!

First new car ever!!! One word: painless. I thought buying my new first car would be sheer hell and because of Dan Barone, it turned into an extremely pleasant experience. His knowledge, lovely personality and witty charm made buying my first new car a wonderful experience instead of doom and gloom. He helped me choose the right car, got the best price for my trade in and worked tirelessly (while staying late) to get me the price I was looking for. I'm extremely happy I chose to work w/ him and won't look for another salesman ever again. He's my go-to guy for life :)

I booked my car in for service weeks in advance. Using their website I had to enter a TON of information including VIN#, etc. After all that it said I would get a message confirming it. A day later I got an email saying a certain service manager would be contacting me soon. After a week I emailed back and got a response that someone would contact me soon. After another week I called and was told I was not on the schedule. Since it was for a weekday and I was planning to drive over an hour to get there, I'd already blocked the day out. I was told they were very sorry but this has been happening with others who used the online booking - so why are they keeping the online booking up? And rather than rescheduling on the spot, I was transferred to a service manager's voicemail. I left my name and number, but she never called back. They don't want my business? Fine.

First class buying experience The actual negotiation was done on the telephone, the next day we went to the dealership everything was very professional and smooth , since I had not bought a new car in 13 years I see that the experience has really changed , because of the internet pricing has become much more open and easier to deal with. With that being said the relationship is much less adversarial and actually you are just being helped thru the paperwork and introduction to the features of the car. So far everything went well, now over the next 13 years hopefully the relationship with service will also be satisfactory.

We have purchased and serviced our cars via Twin City for 20+ years and it has always been an excellent experience. Most recently, our daughter (who always brings her Subaru up from Boston to be serviced at Twin City after unhappy experiences at the Boston Subaru dealership) discovered that her beloved 2003 Subaru Imprezza was finally in need of replacement after many years of New England winters. Naturally, this happened at the worst possible time - right at Christmas. Jim Glassman in Sales had us on the road again in record time with a beautiful 2012 Imprezza at a great price. In addition, the fabulous Twin City Service team (headed up by Lee during our Christmas adventures), did great work running our 2009 Imprezza through a last minute service, troubleshooting, and tire changes to make sure we had wheels over the holiday and that everything was ship-shape in time for our daughter's return to school in Boston. It was pretty wild for a day or two, but Lee's consistent smile and repeated assurances that "Sure, We can do that." made the whole process much less stressful. Way to go, Twin City!

Ive read other posts that say how car purchasing was such a smooth and transparent experience and honestly always shook my head afterwards, not fully believing it was possible. Yet now I know what they mean! Thanks for my bro's Subbie, Dylan O. See you again. :) J

I just have to write here what a pleasure it was to be a customer of Twin City Subaru. I had been told by another nearby dealership in Burlington that my key fob was corroded and wouldn’t work. That was strange because I had purchased it from them only two months before. Turns out, Twin City put a new battery in and it works perfectly! Based on this short experience and ordering parts from them in the past, these guys know what they’re doing.

I bought a new Subaru from Twin City with Dan Barone's assistance. I was involved with another local Subaru dealer and the experience was awful. Fortunately, Twin City had the exact same car, knew how to deliver a wonderful service, and earned my business. The sales process was easy, straight forward, and stress-free. Desmond Culcleasure provided no-pressure financing options with various plans for maintenance and warranty options. Twin City Subaru is 40 minutes away from my home and I'd rather drive there to have my car serviced than give my business to the local dealer.

Anthony Goldsmith was essential to our experience. We were looking for a specific car for our unique application. Anthony came up with the perfect car for us. We couldn't be more pleased. Ask for Anthony when you visit Twin City.

Mary Anna

Always a reassuring experience by helpful, focused and knowledgeable staff.

Mandy Mason

I was desperate I was desperate for manual transmission and Twin Cities was the secret! They not only have bigger stock but service has been incredible so far. Feels like family. Honest and cooperative, which is smart because you can check it all online now anyhow. Popcorn is free but more importantly delicious. Bentley the Aussie shepherd ( I think) entertains you while you wait for paperwork. I will be using dealership a lot even though it's 90 min. away...I trust them. Right now I'm in loaner while they treat upholstery--was no problem at all.

Saturday late morning and we decided to stop in at Twin City Subaru and check out Crosstreks and Imprezas. Joe was friendly, helpful and had a sense of humor! Drive away in a 2015 Subaru Impreza wagon with only 5 miles on it! That is a first. Thanks for making everything come together so quickly. Jackie and Sherm Sprague

y wife and I went to Twin City Subaru just looking. She was due for a new car and she wanted to try out a couple of Subies. Tony Fletcher approached us in the lot and offered to assist. I let him know we were just looking and I asked for Jeff Moser as I had worked with him a couple of years ago in purchasing my Outback. Tony indicated Jeff was working with another customer and he'd be glad to help unless I wanted to wait for Jeff. Thinking we were only looking, we chose not to wait. We then took a test drive with Tony - 2014 Forester. Sweet car. My wife and I both really liked the car. Jeff was not pushy, very informative and actually fun to work with. He knew we were only looking but offered to price it and see how good of a deal they could offer. After a bit of haggling a price was agreed upon and we bought it on the spot. No pressure for the extras even though they made sure they were all offered. We are now a two Subie family! Gotta love it!

Free shuttle service; waiting area with wifi, coffee, and popcorn; friendly staff; fast service but typical expensive dealership prices on repair jobs

Its so clean and the staff does such a good job

Was very happy with my recall repair and the Multi-Point inspection which was very helpful to me.

Eric Lane

Wonderful people to deal with. Enjoyed my experience and got a great deal on my car.

Nikki Saldi

Thank you Twin City Subaru for taking all the time an effort to make this purchase so easy for me. Anthony was a great salesman and I would totally recommend him to my friends and family. He was helpful, friendly and made my experience fun. He listened to my needs and helped me pick out the perfect car. Thanks again to you all!

Nicole Civita

After our second car unexpectedly kicked the bucket, my husband and I found ourselves in need of a new vehicle. We were on a tight budget but needed something reliable, safe, and great on dirt roads in the snow. Eric Lane understood our parameters and objectives and was very knowledgable about all our options. He didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't need, but helped us to see where there was real value for us in leasing a 2018 model rather than one of the remaining 17s. In an afternoon, we went from dreading the idea of spending anything on a car, to having a lease that suits our needs perfectly at a fair price and an amazing Crosstrek to drive. Eric has been incredible gracious and helpful. And, his treatment of me didn't change at all after my husband left the dealership. As a woman buying a car, it's refreshing (and sadly, still rare) to be treated with the same respect on my own as with my husband around. I highly recommend Eric & Twin Cities Subaru.

Best Experience I Have Ever Had!!! Dan Barone at Twin City Subaru in Montpelier, Vermont is an exceptional car salesman. I live in Chittenden County and was going to buy here at Burlington, Subaru but didn't feel like I was getting a good deal. I emailed Twin City with some interest and the next day, in the SNOW, Dan Barone made an iMovie of a car I was looking at! I am a teacher and couldn't talk on the phone with him but we emailed throughout the day. He answered every single question I had and was transparent in the entire process. None of those car salesman "tricks of the trade" were needed. I felt like he heard exactly what I was looking for and he did the leg work to make sure I got what I needed. If you are looking for GREAT customer service and a good deal on a car...see Dan Barone and Twin City Subaru!!!

Everything We Expected and More We did an enormous amount of research before deciding that the Subaru Outback was on our short list. We checked out a RAV 4, a CRV and a Subaru Outback from a different dealership in Vermont. Our son went the extra distance from home and purchased his Subaru from Twin City and recommended them highly. We decided to schedule a test drive at Twin City and called and talked to Jim Glassford. Jim took care of everything. We dealt with him via phone calls, email and in person and received the same great attention to detail from start to finish. We have never had such a positive experience buying a car before! Both Jim and Desmond in finance were awesome; we felt like they were working for US, not the dealership. Oh, and the car is FANTASTIC!

Never been there before and was in for a recall. A guy named Lee was working he was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I have my own mechanic but just might go back here. Very good experience.
