I have gone here twice to get a car inspected before I bought it. Both times they were able to squeeze me in with minimal notice and they were thorough. They caught little things I had no idea about and ended up giving me enough info to keep me out of a true junker. They were also the most reasonably priced of anyone else I called.

Went in for low tire pressure warning light. Naturally they were very busy as is businees as usual there. Within 5 minutes Brandon got me in and assigned of of their employees to look into issue. They were on it, checked and set my tire pressures, reset computer to correct error icon. Seeing as I am a regular customer there was NO charge. Much appreciated and I will always go there for tires, inspection and any other garage need. Thanks to Robin too.

We were in the area to see a doctor in Plattsburgh but staying in Burlington Vermont on the weekend. We found when we went to leave that I had a flat tire. I got the donut on and tried to get someone in Burlington to look at my tire and fix it. They had a bit of snow the night before so I think everyone was trying to get snows on. I had sent my husband to his appointment via cab so I decided to just drive on the donut that had been used one other time. One of the girls at the doctor's office mentioned G&G. I called them and asked if they could look at my tire and they said come on down. Within ten minutes we were out the door with a repaired tire. They were very nice about it. And the car made it all the way back to Canada in a snow storm! Happy Ending!

The recaps they sell are dangerous and junk, and they don't back them. How do you have 5 blow outs on a rig in less than a month? They were all bought at G & G.That is a cost of over $1500.00 for less than a month.

I was stranded off the road in Plattsburgh ny .with a,blow out on my 18 wheeler .I called this place and emailed them about getting my tire fixed .I never got nothing back. After reading all these reviews and talking to a truck driver who had 5 recaps put on in the last month because of blow outs .I said if they can't get back to me. And with all these bad reviews I went some other place to get a tire . If your running a bizz.i know your going to get some bad reviews. But you would want to fix them to get better ones. This place don't care about you or the safety of others on the road. I don't know how you stay running with all these bad reviews. Am calling the bbb.and let them know how they run there bizz

Robin who owns the place is excellent customer service, the prices are fair and the work is done quickly and efficiently. They have plenty of work to do because they are good at what they do. If you're looking for a front end alignment tires mounted balanced and rotated exhaust work any type of engine work these guys do a good job. They're worth checking out if you're looking to compare prices, and they stand by their work. Highly recommend them.

Typically I've heard good things about this shop but I was just involved in one of the garage scams. My girlfriends sister brought her car in to change the oil like she has always done for this car and the mechanic told her that he couldn't get the drain plug out and she needed a new oil pan to the tune of $400 which is a lot of money for her. She called me I called the garage and they informed me it was because the threads wore out. The car has 129000 miles its a 2004 and has always had regular maintenance done at that garage or other professional garages. I am a car guy and as long as you don't over tighten or cross thread that bolt it doesn't get worn out plus the problem can be solved with an oversized drain plug (its no show car). I understand this happens but since the previous oil change was clearly done by that garage and its safe to assume it was negligence that cause the bolt or pan to strip, I believe they should fix the issue. I wasn't asking for a new oil pan just simply an oversized plug or drill and tap to rectify the issue. I am disappointed that a garage I have heard good things about is involved in one of these shady business practices.

Great place to get tires. One thing I like is no appointment for tires, I have gone there and in ten to fifteen minutes my truck was on the hoist and tires going on.

Had to have an emergency repair made on a Saturday. These guys took my car in just as they were supposed to be closing and took the time to give it a thorough going over. They couldn't make the repair that day, but got in touch with me early Monday when it was completed. They were very helpful - even recommended other garages that might have been able to fix it sooner.

Do not go here they will try and rip you off if you know nothing about cars. Too my pick up there to make sure it was algined properly as i had changed the upper and lower ball joints on both sides replaced the pitman arm and idler arm not to mention the center bar sway bar links and replace the streering knuckle/spindle and wheel bearing on the drivers side. I have over 20+ years being a mechanic but no access to an alignment table to use. They tried telling me everything i had just put in a month prior minus the sway bar links and center bar were worn out and they needed to replace it all. I had them put my truck down and took my truck to another shop with an alignment table and come to find out i was dead on and as i knew nothing wrong with any of the parts they said were bad.

I had a screw in my tire and needed a quick patch. One place in town couldn't get me in for 5 days, so I stopped in and asked when I could get an appointment. The tech said they were full, but scheduled an appointment meant for 90 minutes later. I came back and they serviced my tire and finished the pitch in 5 minutes and charged $15. You can't ask for better service. Thanks G& G!

Went for alignment, they said the bolts were seized and needed new control arm. Had new part and bolts installed (not by them) and went back for alignment again. Was told bolts were put in backwards and now upper control arms were bad. Out of curiosity I looked at the bolts on the other 2 trucks I have and they’re all installed the same way. Not sure if he was mad that I didn’t pay them to do it and don’t really care. I’ll never go back

They're personable, remember you and your auto issue, do fast good work, actually try to fit you in as soon as you need. Had all new tires in the morning after dropping SUV off late night, just like I asked. They also checked what I asked to check and let me know exactly what I needed to do next, with no pressure. We are from out of town but always go there when visiting area for our oil changes, new tires, etc. Unfortunately we had them change our daughter's oil and the oil pan plug fell out which resulted in her blowing the motor. They said it "is impossible" and that it "never" happens and refused to take responsibility even though they were the last ones to touch the motor. So there you go folks. A $40.00 oil change ended up costing thousands. And they don't stand by their work.

I really like the mechanics at G & G. I have had situations when the mechanic would give me a little education about what was wrong and what was available. My brother in law (BIL) is a very good mechanic, but lives far away. Whenever a mechanic tells me anything, I run it by my BIL and he has always confirmed what G&G told me about the problem, solution, and cost.

Okay so... There prices are responsible but they said they couldn't give my car an alignment because of one of the front springs and a strut. I feel like they were fishing for more money. They said it would just go out if alignment again, so, I brought it over to the Shearer VW dealership in Burlington and they did it for me no problem. And 6 months later and it's totally fine, so fine it could drive it's self on a straight road with bumps. So what's the deal G&G tire?

This shop is amazingly fast and their prices more than fair. I've had zero issues showing up at any time and having work done within a timely manner. Anything that takes more than 20 minutes usuly constitutes a walk in downtown Plattsburgh while I wait - not a bad thing!

I had tires mounted. They put beads in my tires, and left the old wheel weights on. That cost me over $100. Then another$100 to actually get someone to balance them properly. Awesome! I dont think there's a good shop in Plattsburgh to be honest. Sad I have to drive to Vermont just to get an alignment and tires. Better yet, where I used to work, they were double billing us all the time.
