I would say 4 stars until you decline financing through them, then everyone included in the sale becomes rude and unhelpful. I had to compare all the vechiles on my own, had no input on other vechicles that were within my interests or price range. Once declining financing through dealer, I recieved low trade in value, empty gas tank, and overdue oil change on finalizing. Paperwork was sent into my bank wrong multiple times regardless of hand delivering simple instructions. I also was called and texted multiple times to change when I could come in which was on my only day off due to the sales rep not being in that day- clearly only thinking of there own benefit.

I went searching for my first car here and it was a fun experience! Kevin Clark was so nice and helpful. He told me everything I needed to know and in a friendly, upbeat way! I was so happy with this place that I ended up coming back and trading my first car for an even nicer car I love and own now! Kevin brought me to this car like he already knew I would love it! Which I still do to this day. If it wasn't for him I don't think I would have found this beauty! I highly recommend this place but make sure you ask for Kevin! :)

When I showed up on the lot I asked two very simple questions: What is the value of my trade in? & May I please test drive a certain vehicle on the lot? Instead of providing answers I was hammered by numerous counter questions. Extremely annoying & absolutely unnecessary, next time simply providing the answers I requested. I wasted an hour here and still didn't get an answer (more on that later.) Allegedly the vehicle I wanted to test was out as a loaner but nobody could be found that could confirm the whereabouts of the truck. After waiting for an hour I hadn't received an answer to either question and had to leave. Over 5 days later I get a call! Honestly, if I had known it was The Auto Mall calling I wouldnt have answered. They put a very low trade-in number and said I should come in "to see if we could work something out." I'm really not impressed that they like playing these types of games. A 5 day wait is absolutely unacceptable & I had long since dropped considering them as a possible dealer to work with. As a side note: a competing (and professional dealership) offered me over $2000 more on my trade-in. That was only 15min after walking through the door. Maybe The Auto Mall could take a page from their book? Won't be back, ever.

This place is a complete joke. We live in NY, and found the exact car that we were looking for (through CarGurus) at the Auto Mall. Being 2+ hours from our house, we did everything we could to ensure that it would be available for us to drive/purchase. After 10 emails back and forth with Auto Mall setting up an appointment to look at the car, my wife and I took the day off from work and headed to VT. Upon arriving there, we were informed that the car had gone to auction and was sold long ago. Their explanation was that we had been dealing with their 'Call Center', and that someone had 'misinformation'. While there, we called their Call Center, and were told how closely they worked with the Sales Team at Auto Mall (even though the sales person told us that he had never spoken with anyone at the Call Center, and that they had never received a call to confirm the appointment or the car's availability). To make matters worse, even though the sales person had to go speak with the Sales Manager (Chad) multiple times during our visit, Chad never once deemed it important enough to get out of his chair, introduce himself to us, and offer an apology. This entire experience was customer service at its absolute worst. Avoid this place at all costs!

This was our first visit to The Auto Mall. I had inquired online about a Chevy Tahoe. I received a call on Sunday from them and decided to take a ride up to Vermont and see what they had. My salesman was Blake, and he was awesome. I can't say enough how impressed I was with everyone at the dealership. Low pressure friendly dealership with a very laid back atmosphere. We could not be more happy with the service and experience we had at the Auto Mall. We feel like it was truly a unique experience that we will never have again. Buying a car out of town while traveling with all your stuff and family is not a fun experience especially when your bank turns out to be ridiculous. But everyone at the Auto Mall when out of their way and way beyond expectations to not only work with us, but give the most outstanding service we have ever received in a transaction. There is definitely a stigma surrounding car salesmen, but Kevin breaks the mold. He was such a pleasure to work with - so informative, so patient. He had other deals going on but we never felt like it. He worked so hard going between us and management and finance and our bank to make the deal happen. After 12 hours of finally getting the deal to go through, he still stayed late and took the time to make sure all our questions about the truck were answered and that we knew how to work everything. We could not be more happy and if every car salesman were like Kevin, they would be respected and not looked down on. The guys in the service bay were awesome - letting us park our truck in there to unload all our stuff and have our stuff taking up space all day. Having a service tech install our ladder rack - taking time out of other things he could have been working on to not only install it, but to go above and beyond doing it. We honestly could not write enough good things. We are so happy with the whole experience and we wish we lived in VT so we could buy all our cars from Kevin and everyone at the Auto Mall.

We have been an Auto Mall customer for over 8 years and have always been very satisfied with the service and the treatment when purchasing a new vehicle. Six weeks ago l asked the manager Chad and the owner Chris if they could locate a vehicle for us that wasn't on there lot. The answer was no problem. We also needed a vehicle to use in the mean time as ours went on the fritz. Again no problem. Then they picked a vehice for us to look at and let us try it our for a few days. We are a little more particular than the average and we decided it wasn't the one. They refined the search to accommodate our more specific needs. After a couple more "that's not the one" they found the perfect one. The entire staff from the young car wash guy to finance treated us extremely well. Never felt the stress and anxiety that typically comes with a big purchase.

I had an excellent experience here, I walked it with vauge ideas of what I wanted but when I sat down with my consultant, Bill Hayes, he really helped me narrow down what I needed in my budget. It took us two visits and about 3 hours to finalize everything with a trade, and I left with a car I love under my budget price. If you want a car and you want people who are understanding and willing to work with your needs and limits, come here and see Bill!

Found a "too good to be true" truck at their dealership. Made arrangements to stop by a see truck. I live in NY and it was a 2 hr one way trip to get there. When I got there, was told the truck was NOT ONSITE and it would be 1 hr before it would get there!!! They offered to buy me lunch or pay for gas ( I rode over by motorcycle). After getting confusing details on the truck sale, I figured this was not a firm to deal with and left. Wonder how they stay in business treating customers like this. Look at other negative reviews!! One of the worst dealers I have ever dealt with in 40 years!

I REALLY liked that once I told the dealership I didn't want phone calls - they didn't bother me and let me go them as needed. Loved my salesman and finance guy. (Sadly, I've already forgotten their names - but they know who they are.) Only down side was that after 1st contact, I was contacted by two or more DIFFERENT people - hard to establish a rapport. This was the same with every dealership I interacted with however. Think Auto Mall was one of the lesser offenders. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership.

My recent purchase of my 2018 GMC 2500 was by far one of the easiest transactions I’ve had with a dealership. The service was poor. Huge lack of communication with me and what they were doing with my car. What should have been a quick, fairly easy service from any other place, took days for them to get to and they didn’t keep me updated on what was going on or what they were going to charge me at any point. When I came in to ask about my car they were unaware of what my car’s situation was until multiple people got involved. This was an overall terrible experience, I feel taken advantage of, and I would not let them touch any car of mine again or recommend them to any person in the southern Vermont area.

They come ro me with 6k less then kbb trade value??? Again really?? (For the record my truck is a 2010 diesel lariat super super clean with thousands of extras not a rot box stripped model..) their offer was embarrassing..... what a joke this place is waste of time.. do yourself a favor....stay away....

I purchased a slightly used GMC Terrain (less than 40,00) recently. It didn't come with floor mats an extra key and a antenna for the radio. This wasn't a problem but when I asked for them it was an act of congress to get them. I was told at 1st I would have to pay for them from the salesman but after talking to the sales manager (twice) I did receive them for free. Less then 2 months after a drove off the lot the drivers window would not roll down. I had to pay for this completely with no breaks.

I took my beloved car in for the simple check up at Auto Mall. I was naive to trust the mechanics to take care of my Chev Impala. I know my car very well and how it feels while driving. After it came out of their shop, the engine and the driving felt so different. The car is like the extension of me and I knew something was wrong with it. My friend said the engine sounds so different when I stopped by somewhere in Brattleboro. It was costly kind of ‘new’ issues. I took the car to dealership somewhere near Boston and they quoted me for the repair over one third of the price Auto Mall gave to me.

After being jerked around by my local dealer I found Brattleboro auto mall online. I called on a Friday night minutes before closing and spoke with Shane. The next morning I made the 2.5hr drive and left a few hours later with my new 3500 Denali l5p. Shane was very pleasant to work with as was everyone else I worked with that day. bought a 2013 ford focus se hb kevin clark helped as much as he could with the payment amount. but i was concerned about a wobble in the rear a day later i called as when i used the e-brake as i always did with my 5-speed manuel and the brakes stopped working right and when i pushed the emergency button didnt work scheduled a time they did a alignment and machined the front rotors and said rear camber off on both by -2 and was told un-even wear on tires and told me they would try to find the emergency button which was replace a few days later then all a sudden 2 days before thanksgiving i heard a loud clunking and again scheduled another app for the 32nd day of my owning it at which time they told me it would cost me to fix but the rear shocks are blown and leaking fluid and the tires are chucked and not good to drive with and the brakes still spongy and dont work right they did front yet rear is what needs attention... $10,500 lawn ornamate.. spoke with chad caver he explained alot helped with everything he could help with replacing what had to be replaced in the rear. im really grateful for all that the people at automall have done for me thank you guys so much for the help.

This is the hardest dealership to get a hold of. The person you need is always " off for the day" or " at lunch". We called about getting a prorated refund for an extended warranty and we were ducked and dodged for almost a week! This kind of customer service is so unacceptable, it makes the dealership look so shady all because they don't want to receive a charge back on the extended service plan. We will advise people we know to avoid this dealership.

This place is terrible. If I could do less than 1 star I would. I spent three days going back and forth with different people talking about a truck on the lot. They refused to work any kind of deal over the phone on the truck I wanted (2007 Chevy Avalanche. I told them I didn't want to waste anyone's time if we weren't close on the numbers. I live 2.5 hours away from them. They convinced me that the truck was worth the drive and even convinced me to ride my motorcycle out to get a trade appraisal. So I took a half day from work to go check it out. I got there and the truck was nothing like advertised. The moldings were peeling off, the tires were bald, the exhaust was leaking, there were broken bolts on the manifold, drivers electric seat broken, cables to rear seat broken, etc etc. The sales guy insisted that they didn't work on the truck and that just put it on the lot. Yet when I popped the hood there are still replaced parts sitting in the engine bay. The worst part is I took it for a test drive and less then a half mile away the truck looses all oil pressure and will barely stay running. I pulled over and checked the oil. It was black and very burnt! This should not be the case for a truck that has been running for 5 minutes. I limped the truck back and confronted the sales guys about it. When I confronted the sales guy and asked why they wouldn't be honest with me, he claims the vehicle is sold as is and they can't do anything about it. He said in the state of VT they can sell a vehicle in as is condition without even looking at it. This was a $17000 truck! You would think that for $17000 you could get a truck with a good motor in it! He claimed this was a trade in truck and well taken care of. If they had so much as taken this truck for a test drive they would have found all this out. I found all this in less than 10 minutes and a half mile test drive. I would highly encourage you to think twice before dealing with the place. To give you a little back ground on me, I have been in the automotive business for over 10 years half of which was spent working at a GM dealer. I know these trucks inside and out. So maybe I can find things that the average consumer wouldn't. I know that dealers can put out some questionable products, but this is by far the worst I have ever seen. I am in the process of putting in a formal complaint with GM about this dealer and hope that others will see this and not get taken advantage of.

I recently bought a 2014 GMC Sierra from them and though the entire process took a little longer than I would have liked, I can certainly say the entire staff is amazing. From the moment you first walk in, to when your handed the keys to your new vehicle - you're treated like family. I would recommend seeing salesman Kevin Clark, he is a very straight forward and honest salesman, Which is hard to find elsewhere. I told him what I was looking for and what my budget was and he knew the perfect truck for me. I got a great deal, and I love my new truck. Purchased a 2016 Malibu from Auto Mall in Brattleboro and from start to finish it was a pleasant experience. Exceptional customer service from initial contact all the way through to post sale. I contacted them about a specific vehicle and set up an appointment, when I arrived they had the car I was interested in right up front with my name on it with an extremely friendly salesman walking me through the car's features(unnecessary but he was so pleasant and never approached condescension to myself or my wife I was happy to let him do his thing). Not once did they try to upsell me in any way and the entire process was surprisingly pleasant. Even their accounting/paperwork guy was extremely friendly and sociable. Without hesitating I would recommend to anyone.
