I had quite a bit of work done on my 1959 VW Beetle. It is running Worse now after the work was done. I was told, “ Well you know, it’s an old car and things go bad”. I took 4 brand new shocks in to be Installed. “ We installed them”? After I got the car home I called back and told them the car wasn’t starting all the time and stopping. It had had a tube up. “ Well you might need a new starter “. I just looked at an invoice for a New Starter ! Isn’t that curious. Not happy at all. Hopefully this will be resolved in a peaceful manner. I trusted these people. The fact that I’m a woman doesn’t mean that I don’t know about my car

Outstanding experience! I brought in 4 loose tires with 4 freshly powder coated wheels on a Saturday with no appointment. They installed the tires without putting a mark on the wheels! All was done in under an hour! Very friendly, experienced, and professional staff! You must use this place.

I just took my car to Southern Tire of Summerville today and it was a great choice! After being told I had to spend over $100 on a new tire by many shops I was really relieved to only pay $15 for a patch on my wheel. The people were really nice and told me exactly what they were going to do and where the problem was. The wait was only around 10 minutes and they had everything up and ready to drive in less than 15. My car is driving great now and I can't thank them enough!

Can’t say one bad thing about this place. I had my eye on a set of 4 tires that would be about $850, Mr Strobel said he preferred another brand that was cheaper. Looking out for the customer’s best interest, and not always dollar signs, is why Southern Tire was recommended by nearly everyone I talked to. Will definitely come back when my wife’s car needs tires. Customer for life.

My husband and I were both in need of used tires desperately so my husband took his Toyota first then was going to take my Kia next. Well they decided they wanted more money and put new tires on his car and made him pay for them instead of doing the right thing and putting used ones on it. So now I must dangerously ride around for 2 weeks with extremely bad tires that I have to put air in twice a day because someone got greedy. They had no idea we were bringing another car after that. If they would have been decent people and they would have realized we had two cars not just the one. My husband clearly stated he wanted used too a d even told them he didn't want new ones. Horrible business. I'll never in my life go there again or recommend them. The owner apparently likes to lie too. Not one time did anyone say they had no used tires. NOT ONCE. I'm very disappointed!!!!! He is making up complete scenarios to make himself look better...WOW. If that happened than why did the man say to my husband, and grown son that was there, say to him "You didn't say anything about new tires" after he put put it on. He would have said we don't have any used tires.

STAY AWAY! Total circus here. Soon as I pulled in (we can't mount these it'll hit). I said I've done my research lets do this (and I was right btw). Soon as they start on breaking down old tires to install new wheels and tires, installer scratches my brand new 20" MotoMetal wheel. Told owner. I brought this up 3x even at pay and the subject was changed each time. They refused to balance with weights, said it was impossible...used weight beads/compound. BTW, compound is used for tires measuring at 40" or more, not 33". Result: HORRIBLE ride!! Paid $180 to these clowns. End result, I have to go to High Rollers, pay an additional $180 to get this fix and balanced properly. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU HAVE EXPENSIVE WHEELS!

I was looking for a place in Charleston that didn't charge an arm and a leg but also had a reasonable turn around on powder coating wheels. Southern Tire came through and got my wheels back within a week looking amazing. They also saved the day when they found 7 nails in one tire and were able to repair it! Definitely recommend these guys for any tire/wheel work!

Awesome experience! Precise and to the point. I was in and out in 10 mins. They changed/balanced two tires quickly and correctly. The size of the tires were 275-55-R20 and they had no issues or delays with that diameter rim or that tire profile. I highly recommend this place and all my tire business will be conducted trough them in the future. Edit: They also allocated the tires within hours after talking to them on the phone and saved me the hassle of doing the hunting myself.

Joe's trucks recommended me to these guys (as they bring most of thier clients to get work done). For a small 3 person shop these guys were amazing, fast and did a very professional job.

I bought a used set of tires from Southern Tire and picked up a nail the first week out and they patched it for free and the second week out I discovered a pin hole in one sidewall and they replaced the tire no questions asked.
