We had a flat tire late Thursday night while honeymooning in beautiful Charleston. The next morning we first went to a highly recommended tire store which was no help at all. We needed to get back home in order to attend my uncle’s funeral. We went down the road and found Hay Tire. Even though they were very busy they took us right in and fixed the tire so we could get on the road. I can’t say enough about the guys and their wonderful customer service!!

Hay tire pros were so helpful on our trip to Mt Pleasant. I had a flat while on vacation and had stopped by a famous chain that starts with an F. They told me my tire couldn’t be patched and I needed a new tire. This was the second tire I’ve had that they’ve told me the same thing. Greg at Hay tire took my call and was so cordial and professional and told me to bring my car. They took me right in and because I was on vacation and out of town they worked me right in, patched my flat, put in on the car, and put the spare and all tools back in the trunk in the proper place. The best customer service I’ve experienced in years. What a professional good group of guys.

The courteous demeanor of everyone at Hays' front desk remains with me. Of course, "courteousness" is part of good customer relations...but to remain so after a very hectic day and running behind--that says it all Will helped me choose a very reputable tire in mid-price range. We set a date. I dropped off my car at 8:30am and was given a lift home via Hays' shuttle, driven by a quite nice young man, maybe a college student. When my car was ready, the shuttle came to get me. It does not get better. Hays Tire Pros is a really no-nonsense shopfront with no-nonsense, genuine and courteous managers. KM, Mount Pleasant

Clueless Productions

Brought in a my sporty car, technician revved my engine aggressively for no reason as soon as he pulled into the bay. He then put the wrong oil thickness in my car even though the oil cap clearly labels the correct type of oil in bold letters. He then proceeded to take my car for a reckless joyride down Johnnie Dodds blvd, reaching speeds in excess of 70 mph. All of this was caught on my GPS enabled dash cam that automatically records when the car is on. Manager was apologetic but also said that the tech who did all of this was one of their best employees. They replaced the wrong oil with the correct oil for free, then refunded me for all of the service I ordered after I returned with the raw footage of the what happened. I won’t be coming here again.

I got quotes from a few different automotive places in the area; this establishment was the quickest to do the necessary work on my vehicle. The workers were capable, the work was good and the prices were reasonable. Their staff is very friendly and they are very responsive when contacted. The staff have good communication skills and will tell you what repairs will cost, why the repairs need to be done, and asking you if you want the repairs done before doing them.
