Went there to buy 2 used front tires & got a great bargain! For how extremely busy that they were, I got my car finished in an hour. I live 1 block away so I walked back home & did my scheduled house routines while waiting for their call. The worker Philip did an awesome job! He noticed that my right front tire was missing a lugnut & he replaced it for me & also placed new stem caps on all 4 tires for free as well, such a great guy, thanks Philip! As advertised on commercials, it's a great day at Gerald's!! Anyone who goes here will experience very polite staff & they go above their job to keep people safely on the roadways. After being sent from another location to this one I was denied service. They already had orange cones out blocking the empty spots. Even after I explained that I was sent from another location I was told there was no way they could help me bc he had 4 other cars to do and there would be no way anyone could help me even if I was sent from another location. But it was before 3pm on Saturday May 25, 2019 and they don't close till 4:00pm. I would of never have driven on a bad tire over there if I knew they were closing a hour early! But I guess my daughters&my safety was not their concern.

Honesty and Courtesy is what makes this place excellent. I thought I needed 4 new tires, but it turns out I only need 2 front tires and they also explained why I needed an alignment and educated me on how to check tires as a result of misalignment. They make it easy to bring the car in and pick it up. The promote a great deal of respect to their customers which is why I "trust em!"

I’ve been having troubles with my tires for about two weeks. I’ve been to Mitas & Walmart, which both experiences have nothing on Gerald’s in North Charleston! The employees at this location are so nice and informative without making you feel uneducated. They did more work than what I paid for. I had a tire put on my vehicle that I purchased elsewhere & Zachary (a technician) was so customer friendly he took the time to explain what was going on with my vehicle and explained their warranty program! Not to mention, I spent less than an hour getting my vehicle serviced! Can you believe they end each visit with a rose?! I definitely suggest Gerald’s for anyone looking to get their tires fixed in the low country! Thanks Gerald’s !

This was my post on Facebook yesterday after going to Gerald's Tires for the first time: "Last night I found out I had a flat tire due to a nail in the tire (thank you to my friend who discovered it and put enough air in it to get it back home). Called AAA and they came out within 45 minutes and put my spare on so I could drive to the tire place. The only reason I’m posting this is to give recognition to Gerald’s Tires in Mount Pleasant. I believe that when someone or something is exceptional we need to share it and bring attention to those who go above and beyond - even your neighborhood tire place. It was my first time there. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with utmost courtesy. They sincerely act like they appreciate your business and that you are a very important customer. It’s a rare thing to have such AMAZING customer service. I’ve been to doctors offices and various health care systems who have ZERO customer service and it’s appalling when you consider they’re servicing your health and well being. Whoever Gerald is and those who manage and work for this company, kudos to you all! In and out in less than 45 minutes. To top it off...there was a red rose with a thank you note sitting on the front seat as I got in my car to leave. Best flat tire I’ve ever experienced! P.S. They service a lot more than your tires. I’d check them out for other auto needs if you’re looking for excellence!

According to Gerald's I had a bad wheel on my 1999 BMW M3 causing a slow leak. Gerald's told me to get a new wheel, which is less expensive, and they would take care of the problem. They did for just a very small charge. All is good now. I am happy again. They have been taking care of the tires on my cars since 2008.

Between myself and my grown children we have visited the to Gerald's on Rivers Avenue a total of five times in the last two weeks every time the work was done above our expectations. In my experience the hardest thing to find is service people who are both knowledgeable, pleasant and honest. I think the name of these businesses it should be Gerald's honest and fair

Was quoted a price for front end brakes, pads and rotors for a certain amount. Let me keep it real...600.00 and 850.00 for back and front. I went to Gerald's just to see what they saw and get an estimate. It was almost closing time. The mechanic said we can turn the rotors, put in new brakes and pads for 439.00 I said front? He said no front and rear. I asked when can you do it, he said now. I agreed and the manager asked me to pay because they were closing.. I did and those mechanics stayed overtime and finished my car. They even left a rose inside. It runs great. FYI.. I drive an import car.

I have to begin by saying I have gone to Gerald's in Mt. Pleasant for 25 years. They are honest, do great work, are appropriately priced and always friendly. But I won't be going back. I had a tire (purchased there) that had a slow air leak. I went there 3 different times,, and each time I was told me the wait would be at least 3 hours or they could not get to it that day. Another time I went there needing a new tire (the belt had separated) and I was told to come back first thing the next morning. So basically if you are not there when they open, you will either need to leave your car or plan on a 3-4 hour wait. This is ridiculous for simple in and out problems. I have talked to a number of friends who love Geralds but no longer go there for the above mentioned reasons. I love you, Geralds, but my wife and I won't be coming back. You either need to expand, stay open later, or go to some type of reservation system.

Always have a smile. Very helpful. Fair. I got quick service, but I think it was because what I was in there for. (ABS WARNING light) Many other people were waiting. they checked it for free and said it was low voltage. I got a new battery and no more problems. Who would have thought that would make an ABS light come on.

Another very positive experience with Gerald's. Three nails lodged in my tire which made it non-repairable because of their placement so they ordered a new tire from Continental and it was in the next day. They expedited the process of getting the new tire on the wheel and I was finished in record time. Such a great bunch of guy and fantastic service.

It's always a great day at Gerald's. Definitely, believe the commercials on television. Ever since I moved to Charleston in 2009, these guys have been taken care of me for any emergency tire repairs rotation and car maintenance. The guys at Gerald's on Rivers avenue. #5. Chevy, Keith, Sheldon, and Phillip are all great customer service guys and definitely know how to move cars in and out and move those tires and fix those tires. Never seen so many cars come in and out so fast and they work straight up. meaning they will tell you the straight truth, and work with you anyway that you need to. I highly recommend geralds, not only Rivers avenue number 5 , but all Charleston locations including the full service garage in Summerville. You can't go wrong with geralds. Best tire service in the area and best tire service place that I've ever been to in my entire 30 years of driving a car.

Every Gerald's we have ever visited has been exceptional. They are honest and aren't afraid to show you where the problems are without talking down to you for not being mechanically inclined. My wife is even comfortable with the staff. In addition, they are loyal to their customers and their tire patches for the roads in charleston, which are more necessary here than in any city I have lived in thus far, are free. This is a life saver when you aren't prepared for the unexpected expense of a new tire and need another week or two before you get another. Worth any wait.

Over the last nine years I have been to Gerald's so many times, as I like to buy and sell classic cars, and EVERY time I was there it was like I had walked back into a brothers home!! Everyone there is very hard working and always smiling. They could use a little more customer service room up front, but over all they are a five star!!! Thanks for being so great!! I went back today for an inspection of my anti lock and it was late, so they said they would keep it and get on it first thing tomorrow!!! I could not ask for more. The FREE coffee is good!!

Gerald's staff is the GREATEST! Here's my story: I was traveling to Charleston from Savannah yesterday & had a tire shred. It was late in the day & I was struggling to find someone that had the correct size tire so that I could make it home. The men at Gerald's changed out my tire mere MINUTES after I arrived. They charged me $50 less than they'd quoted on the phone when I called in a total frenzy. They even handed me roses on my way out the door! I'd had a terrible day, & they were able to get me back on the road so I wasn't stranded hours from home. I don't know what I would have done if they wouldn't have taken me in right as they were closing. The men were all very very nice & professional & helpful. It was truly a godsend!

Hit a pothole that destroyed a 3 year old rim on my Mustang. Ordered a new rim, tire was ok and brought them to Geralds on Rivers, near mall drive. Had every intention of dropping it off and picking it up the next day, said it would be ready in an hour. I had errands to run, so came back about 40 minutes later and it was ready! When I tried to pay, they said there was no charge! Wow! Customer service is still alive and well in Charleston. Please understand, the tire, nor the rim came from Geralds. I used to shop here all the time, but moved to Walterboro so moved business out there. From now on, I will make the trip to Geralds. Thank you.
