I came here about half an hour before they closed. Explained the situation about my tire and told them I only had $60 to pay for the tire. I was told that it’s normally $66 and my heart fell. But I was super relieved to hear right after that to hear that the gentleman was going to see what he can do. A little while later, he came back and told me that he could do it for $60 and I nearly cried. I’d been driving around on my spare for way longer than I should’ve. I am so thankful for the amazing man who helped me get a new (well, new for me) tire. If you come to this location, ask for Scott. He’s the amazing person who helped me today. I will definitely be back if I have any more tire issues.

My tire had a slow leak my girlfriend notice this morning. Luckily it was my day off. I went to this location and asked if it could be plugged since the tire is only about 6 months old. These guys went right to work. I had a screw in my tire. Good thing is it was an easy fix. The time it took was the amount of time it took to fix. No waiting at all. To my surprise the guy working on my tire told me to have a nice day and didnt charge me at all. I have patronized Geralds before but I dont think I even been to this location. Thanks guys. You have earned a loyal customer. Customer service seems to be dying but you guys do not follow that trend. Thanks again and if someone asks, you know where I will sent them.

I haven't had any issues with a air pressure in my tires in a long time, so I hadn't been to Gerald's in a while. One visit there yesterday, and I was reminded just how good their service and their people are. I was taken care of in about 45 minutes. They fixed the issue and wouldn't charge me -- which isn't why I am writing this review! Then, when I went out to the car, there was a rose on my door from Gerald's, thanking me for my business and instructing me on the proper care of the rose. It doesn't get any better than that as far as I'm concerned. They are the best and more than anything, as far as I'm concerned, you can trust them.

Maybe it’s just me, but I have been to Gerald’s now two times over a period of years. The first experience was absolutely awful. The second is not much better. It’s so busy that anytime I try to come there is such a cluster of people it’s chaos. 15 min later I finally fill out a form. Now 1 hour into waiting and no one has told me anything. My car is on a jack but that’s it. I have no clue how long I’m supposed to keep waiting. I feel like a deer in the headlights here, and it’s so opposite of what I hear everyone say about how much they love Gerald’s. Doubtful I will ever come back here.

I was recently at Gerald's Tires on 5646 Rivers with a flat tire. Scotty waited on me and informed me that the tire could not be repaired. He was very helpful with problem solving the situation and coming up with an affordable option. He was very patient throughout the process and made a potentially stressful situation much less stressful. If I could I would give Scotty Six Stars out of Five!

Con: I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to get my tired patched up. And that's the only bad thing I have to say. The technicians were extremely helpful and friendly. Once they got to my truck, the job was done super fast. I can see why Gerald's is the best place in the Lowcountry. Mind you I went to 4 other tire shops and everyone said over 2 hour wait. Bought 4 new tires. Next day I noticed 1 had a leak. Went into this store at 522pm. I was refused service they stop taking in customers at 500pm. Wow that's new news because when I bought the tires it was after 5pm. Honor your contract Gerald's. I'm disappointed.

Went for an unexplained flat tire. An other shop told me they couldn't fond the problem, and I was stranded with a tire that went flat after driving 20 minutes. I didn't knew if it was a problem with the tire, the rim, the valve... They found the problem and repaired it quickly. I waited less than 1h30, on a saturday morning. Matt was really welcoming and helpful. After they basically saved my day, they floored me when they told me this was free of charge ! These guys deserve their outstanding rating, maybe more. I'll definitely go there now when needs be.

4/11/19 Did not get greeted or asked if I needed I was being helped. I think they need a number system as its not clear who's car they're working on next. To get tire under warranty fixed it took almost 1.5 hours. A few men were making jokes to lighten the mood however. I appreciated the fact they do hard work all day long. Like many other reviews have stated, they need some kind of check in system. I was told it would be about an hour when I showed up, and that ended up taking two and a half. The issue is that I saw at least 3 people who showed up after me get services first. They seem to just be flying by the seat of their pants when it comes to which vehicle to work on. Aside from that, the staff was courteous and professional, and I don't think the delay was the result of any kind of dereliction of duty, they just don't have a system and it's pretty much chaos when its busy.

He was very professional, friendly, patient with customers and extremely knowledgeable about tires. Matt also gave us awesome tips on how to inspect and preserve our tires; this information is good for all travelers who hit the road local or long distance(particularly a Clemson student that drives back and forth for mom's cooking). I came in friday because one my tires had a leak but I couldn't find it. The gentleman that helped me was super nice and told me he would take a look to see what was causing the issue. It was very busy and the waiting room was full but the team outside was working their butts off. They were getting people in and out very fast and I barely waited any time at all while they found the nail, patched my tire and sent me on my way. I wish I got the name of the man that helped me because he was great! The roses at the end really made my day :)

Had a nail in my tire. Could not patch for safety reasons. It was peak time, so my new tire install took ~1 hour. I took off 1 star due to tire pricing. Paid $100 for 1 tire. Tire has lifetime warranty so another nail is free patch or $8 for replacement. Could not tell me condition of used tire ($55) available for install which is odd. Mechanics are professional and friendly.

Waited at the front counter for literally 20 minutes and did receive any acknowledgement from any of the staff. I had three other people behind me waiting to pay. I eventually had to walk out and go somewhere else. I went to #6 Gerald's Tires in Summerville and got great customer service and affordable tires. Will definitely go back again.

Couldn't find my slow leak. Went to see these guys and was out in about 30 mins. Just one thing negative is they tend to over torque the lugs so if your OCD about that, I take my own lug wrench and ask them to just "tap" torque and you'll torque them yourself before you leave. I'm sure they'll write it on the work receipt for their own protection.
