Fast and courteous, recommend it.

Extremely rude and disrespectful. Oh and insulting just to let you know Mr. Owner. When I asked to speak to the owner the guy on the other line said you can't contact the owner lol so prove to me that your business doesn't stink completely and respond back @owner

Sierra Kempf

Both times I have ever been here nothing but issues and overpriced nonsense. Let alone the wait time having to go through, minimum of two hours before even looking at my car. I only wanted my brakes looked at, but they took it upon themselves to then check the tires, wheel bearing and the tire-rod. Estimated price of repair was $2400. I don’t think so, I am never stepping foot in that place again. Highly dissatisfied and if there was an option to get negative stars, that’d have it.

Matthew Zimmerman

I've had good service here and their prices seem to be about as good as anywhere. They're always happy to drop me at my office if I leave the car for the day. My only complaint is they don't have wifi in the waiting room.

James Duerr

Want $1000 for rotors and pads. These are a $350 items at most add $100 for markup so they want $550 for labor on a2hr job. Ridiculous

Extremely rude and unprofessional when I came to get a state inspection. As i am from the state of Florida, my vehicle has window tint. Per the statutes available to see online, a tinted vehicle could possibly be permitted if it is at 70%, but apparently inspectors, as the DMV director clarified, are taught to deny any car with non factory. Rather than calmly and professionally explain this, the customer service representative, an older white man, chose to simply repeat that my vehicle did not pass inspection and failed to address my concerns. The mechanic proved even ruder on the matter, at one point insinuating I would face a fine by saying the state would "fail me even worse" and then sarcastically told me I should register the vehicle again in Florida. I felt as though I were being insulted and attacked purely because I did not understand and had received conflicting information. They refused to test the windows for the actual percentage, which seems strange considering this is an auto shop authorized to do inspections. They also attempted to upsell me on a brake pad change for almost $300, and yet told me they weren't able to remove this horrific tint from my car. I am unsure how certified mechanics aren't able to do this repair. The brake pads were replaced for substantially less at another shop. I will not be returning to this auto shop, and I will be actively dissuading others from seeking assistance here. I do not think this is how a customer or a new resident to New England should be spoken to.

They always do an awsome job. Anthony is great and always make sure the work is done right. The crew is always great

I love this place prices are fair and they treat you like family

I recently bought a car! It had all the records of work done to it! Exactly 10,000 miles ago, N.E.tire billed the previous owner for brake pads and rotors! The pads looked ok! 3/4 left, but the rotors were shot. I also noticed after charging for materials! Brake fluid, power steering fluid... They added a shop material charge!!! Witch was a bit high! It's now my mission to put you out of thievery! I have heard nothing good about you! You Will change or pay the price! Good luck! A very good friend of Chanel 10! Doug.

RF Donna

They didn't answer the phone at 9:30 am on a Wednesday morning. I've never taken my car there.

They tried to rip me off by saying I had all sorts of things wrong with my car. Seriously if they really need to be more honest.

Kaitlyn Laurence

They took great care of my disabled brother who had a damaged tire he had purchased a month earlier. Thank you.

My daughter had purchased a Groupon special they were running for three oil changes. After I told her to make sure to use or upgrade to a synthetic blend (dealer recommended) which makes sense being a late model vehicle, she was told that it wasn't needed and just needed to change her oil more frequently. Two oil changes into the three and she has oil pressure issues. The oil was like water when it was drained by my regular mechanic. Being the optimist I try to be, I called them to review the problem with the manager. He immediately took a very aggressive approach to my call. The car calls for a 5w40 weight being a turbo, but he said it calls for the standard 5w30. Kept insisting that no one would have denied her the option to pay for a synthetic oil change and that Passat's for sludge motors. Repeatedly kept interrupting me and not letting me speak and finally said; “Well, we’re busy here and I have phones ringing off the hook”. Wow, really Mr. Customer Service? Yeah and I'm dealing with a potential blown motor here!! Mistakes happen and I was perfectly willing to discuss the problem or have them look at it again. No problem, never again.....Spite it's age, we've had no problems with this vehicle in the past and it's always been well maintained. So I guess it's onto their corporate office in Attleboro and small claims if needed!

Vanessa Lachance

They can do decent work for decent prices but seem to always scam you into getting more than necessary

Patty Gomm

They are always professional and detailed. They do the job and thye do it in a timely fashion. They have become our number one repair shop. Being open on Sunday is a big plus for people, like myself that work all week.

Bruce Faulkner

Our tire failed while in Rhode Island far from our home in Vermont. They quickly fixed our tire on a Sunday morning. Nice waiting room with free coffee, clean bathroom, and they welcomed our dog.

Muzzy

Excellent service!! Highly recommend! A+

I have been going to New England Tire for several years and with different cars. I have always received great service. They have been very fair and honest, and many times have been able to help me out with very little notice. I know I can rely on them and will continue to do business with them.

If I could given lower I would have. This company definitely looks out for themselves not the customers I was what feels like tricked into protection plans that really protected nothing but their pockets Pay extra fees for road hazards protection Still pay 1/3 of the price for a tire then they proceed to tac on the road hazard protection again on new tire without even asking. Then u get charged to balance the tires since they needed to put a new one on. Even though 7 months earlier you were talked into a lifetime warranty for free tire balances. Hmm strange Then when my elder father goes in to try to see about refunded the balancing fee due to the $70 warranty that I purchased prior. The staff were rude and condescending to my father. I will NEVER USE THIS AGENCY AGAIN I strongly reccomend crossing I s and dotting T s before purchasing any plans with this agency. Totally disappointed in this service. Feel robbed

Nonya Biznes

Must say very fast service but they charge 3 times as much as the parts really cost after doing research. Place is a rip off.

Please don't go to NE Tire. We tried them several times for new tires, believing they had our best interest at heart. It turns out their whole goal is to put you in the wrong tires so that you are scammed into going back and getting new tires OVER AND OVER. They put us in completely wrong tires SEVERAL TIMES and we only found out when the tires kept getting flats and we checked with other shops/dealers who told us that not only were these the WRONG tires, but that they were completely unsafe (NE Tire told us they were all season, but they weren't) which could have led to serious problems. They are dishonest and you cannot believe what they tell you. Save your time, money and headaches....please go anywhere else but here.

I bought a groupon for a tire rotation and oil change. They never rotated my tires, but had no problem telling me I needed new tires to the tune of $550.00 dollars. I wont be doing business again.

DONT GO HERE....SCAM ARTISTS!!!! (worth reading) i bought a set of used wheels with new tires from CL and found it was a gentleman who owns a mechanic shop in warwick who was selling the wheels...so i purchased the wheels and asked if he could put them on my truck for me..and do an alignment...he says he didnt do alignments...and he sent all alignment work out to NEW ENGLAND TIRE...wich is where he bought these wheels and tires for his truck...so i figured if this guy goes there...they must be good...i asked him to call for me to make appointment to get me right in since he knew these guys...and he did....i drive there (5 min. down the road)...ask them to install new wheels and tires and do alignment...and i just called and made appointment...my truck sat there all day...finaly they put the wheels on and told me alignment couldnt be done...i needed a ball joint and a tie rod.....will cost $507...(NOT TODAY GUYS)...so i reached out to my uncle who is a certified gm mechanic at a dealership in conn.,,,that also works on cars at home...but doesnt have an alignment machine...he replaced all the parts...and also found that i needed a pitman arm and idler arm...wich he couldnt do because going on vacation...but funny how (NEW ENGLAND TIRE DIDNT SEE THAT)..so i buy those parts and decide to have NEW ENGLAND TIRE DO THE JOB since there going to do the alignment anyways...$700 later...and 2 days at shop...my trucks alignment was so badly off i could see it from just looking at it..car was straighter before the alignment....so i go back in and make another appointment for next week to re align my truck...that week i noticed that all week my truck was leaking power steering fluid...it appears they took out the steering box to put in the pitman arm and must have broke one of the lines....(wich i replaced myself that week)...bring truck back next week for re-alignment...(of course sat there all day)...i finaly leave and alignment still off...now its worst than the 1st 2 times...very upset..i decided to find a new alignment place...but in meantime i just watch the edges of my new tire burn away...i bring it to another alignment shop...they said that the pitman arm was not pressed all the way on..(very dangerous)...and now truck is straight as an arrow...but in meantime my new tires are burned out on the edges...ill need new tires soon..thanks to 2 bad alignment jobs from this place...this place is a total SCAM!! (side note) these scam artists should not make you wait so long in there waiting room....you tend to listen to what there saying to other customers... an older woman came in with a brand new toyota corolla she said she bought 1 month ago....and picked up a nail in one of her tires...and has a slow leak....instaed of offering to plug the hole...they went to directly selling her a new tire...of course not just 1 tire...for her saftey she needed to buy 4 new tires...$900..plus balance..she was very upset but went with NEW ENGLAND TIRE recomandations for her safety of course..and offered to dispose her old (brand new) tires (for a fee of course)...i couldnt sit and listen anymore...i had to leave...i then realized i was in the wrong shop !!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Over the past year or so I’ve spent over $5000 on 2 cars. Granted, they are 8 and 10 years old, so I do expect some things to deteriorate. I first started at this location because let’s face it, I was new to the area, and I had no idea where to go. I got a couple of oil changes, had some steering system work done on my car, had my wife’s tires changed. Things were going ok. A dealership and this place recommended changing the brakes. This is where things began to fall apart. I had the brakes changed here and right off the bat, they squealed all the way home. Brought it back and they had to install new ones because they claimed they were defective. Not sure why I had to find this out, but wasted my time and simply got an apology. Next, I bought some tires for my car. I had a “wheel bearing” issue because my steering was shaking. This issue was resolved for less than a week after the repair, and started shaking again, and I realized the issue was actually a huge bubble in the tire. I ordered 4 new tires. Not sure why an experienced technician couldn’t determine this issue when I found it clear as day. Shaking went away completely. Took my wife’s car for another oil change, only for this place to explain to me that my hood latch was “broken”. I told them to do the oil and I’d take a look at it. Sure enough... the latch was disconnected from the cable. When I opened the hood, the cable was completely disconnected from the latch. I was able to put it back together myself. This should have been the smoking gun, but shame on me. Finally, I had starter issues with my wife’s car. When the car was in park, intermittently, the car would not start. I told the manager my issue, and also explained that for some reason it only starts in neutral. If the techs knew this and also knew anything, they would’ve assumed there was an issue with the neutral safety switch. This is actually a common issue with older cars not starting. Instead, they told me it was a bad starter and charged me $475 for a new one. After this repair, my TPMS sensor went off due to low tire pressure. I was able to fill 3 tires at the gas station, but one of their wonderful techs was nice enough to put a metal tire stem cap and over tighten it. I attempted to remove it myself and it stripped a little, so I gave up and took it in. The manager attempted to remove it and couldn’t. He didn’t even attempt to apologize. I left it with them because I was busy that day. I picked the car up with my wife. When I got home, the suspect tire was fully deflated. I just about lost it at this point. Since I had to work the next day, I had my wife call AAA, and they filled the tire and she brought the car back. I told the manager what happened, and they simply filled the tire and put sealant around the rim, after I had told them my wife rode the tire a couple miles on a flat. When I went to pick up the car, he assured me it was all set. I asked if he changed out the tire, because I was concerned about the integrity of the tire. He looked at it with me and told me there was no ring around the tire, so the side wall is good. I didn’t feel like leaving it there anymore, so I gave up and took it. 1 week later... car was in park AND DID NOT START! After doing $475 worth of research online (the price of a new starter), I found out the cabling for the parking brake was getting stuck due to corrosion. Not even close to needing a new starter. Not sure what test they actually did to see if the starter was working. Needless to say, I will not return to this location, I hope you understand. Just awful.

DISSAPPOINTED AND ANGRY I have been a few times in the past for scheduled maintenance without any issues. Staff seemed friendly and honest enough to me. This changed for me this Monday 04/16 when I brought my 1999 Buick Century in on a rainy day with only one side of my wipers working. They took it in and after 45 minutes the serviceman came out and told me that my wiper motors were shot and the job was going to cost me $500. He also wanted to replace my exhaust for an additional $600. I was blown away by this and left. The next day, with some help from a friend, I removed the wiper arm in question which was stripped. All of the motors were working fine. I went out and bought a new wiper arm for $28 and put it on. BOOM all set. The whole process took me 30 minutes. DISHONEST MECANICS LOSE BUSINESS AND I WILL BE SPREADING MY STORY AROUND IN WARWICK

Tried telling me that just to install 4 spark plugs was going to cost around $200. Some of the biggest crooks in the history of mechanics

I've gone to the Warwick Ave location for both "Oil Change and Tire Rotation" with Groupon and a front end alignment. In all instances, they put a hard sell to try and get me to spend $500 for new tires. They did not do the tire rotation as they were supposed to do with the groupon. I did get a good price on the alignment, but they refused to offer any warranty on the service because they said I needed new tires. So, if you have brand new tires that they can't bother you about, might be worth visiting, but I'm not a fan of their business practice.

Update: ***I took it to another shop instead and they're fixing it for half what we were quoted at New England Tire with fewer things "wrong." Save your money.*** I would give them no stars if I could. New England Tire was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I thought, "great, must be a mechanic I can trust!" I was wrong. The first time I took my car there, I needed an oil change and to replace a blown tire. They did fix it, but the price did not match what I was quoted on the phone and they had done unauthorized work on the vehicle. A few months passed and it came time for state inspection. I thought I'd give them another chance because my friend likes them and they're close by. I told them that the check engine light was on so it would fail inspection and I needed to know why. They called to get authorization for work with $1350 worth of mostly minor repairs that had to be done and they couldn't inspect it today because it wouldn't pass until the repairs are done and I take it through a drive cycle. Frankly, my fiancé and I don't believe them and we plan to take the car elsewhere for a second opinion. However, when I called right back to tell them that we did NOT authorize the work, they said they had already done the oil change, so we would owe them for that, the diagnostic, and the state inspection. I refused to pay for a failed inspection, since I told them myself it would fail. When I said that this was the second experience I'd had with them where I felt they were being shady, the man (Anthony, I think) became very aggressive on the phone and told me he was offended because he'd never been called that in his life. He actually argued with me about it instead of in any way hearing my concerns and working to rectify them...even when the conversation escalated to the point that I told him I would not be bringing my car back there again. He didn't even go as far as to say, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but here's why I think we've been honest with you." Instead, he was so aggressive and rude that I was actually shaking when I got off the phone. They have twice been shady with me in their dealings now, and showed an utter lack of respect and customer service when I voiced my concerns. So much for "the customer is always right." They've lost any chances at my money. I won't be going back.

My experience with New England tire started when a friend on the local police department called me to ask me who the two idiots were in my truck speeding and driving wrecklesly down Warwick Ave. I went in for sensor and managed to get a 900.00 bill with nothing I asked to be repaired, repaired. The sensor I needed repaired was going to cost an additional 2800.00. I saw the writing on the wall and had the truck pulled. I took it to another mechanic and within an hour and no parts like magic check engine goes off. A loose connection. I gave him 50 dollars. Stay as far away from this place as possible!

Literally broke my friends trunk completely, it won’t even shut now. It was working before hand, the car needed to be on to open the trunk. It didn’t need to be pried open. The wait time was over an hour to change a fire that “had to be replaced” even though another car person had said something completely different. The amount of bad reviews this place has is ridiculous and it shows.

Tara Diffley

Brought in my daughters car for a inspection, they said she needed a new oil pan. After oil pan was replaced we went to pick up her car and see a puddle of oil next to it on the ground, they come out and see it for themselves, keep the car and replace the oil pan again the next day X2, We pick up the car bring it home and the oil pan is now leaking on our driveway, bring back again they have to order a new oil pan from a different manufacturer and replace, X3. Oil is still leaking from under the car, we have tried for 2 days to get the manager to call us back with no return call. The problem has still not been fixed and we cannot even get a return call at this point. We are now going to have to go there in person to see how to proceed. I will NEVER use them again, everyone makes mistakes but to be ignored and disrespected for a service we paid for that is still wrong is not only poor customer service but a safety concern.

Brent

Simply put, good people and prompt service (obviously pending how busy they are). And they could've over charged me but they didn't. I thought my lugs would need to be broken off and I would've paid it but they got them off with a torque wrench. Honest people here on warwick ave.

Poor customer service. Had my caliper changed in January, and I had a warranty. Went by this morning because it seems that my caliper had been acting up. The gentlemen upfront was very snarky and not too friendly. Said he was going to fix it.. Come to find out after dropping my car off he tells me my "Caliper" is perfectly fine and that I needed other work done to it. (Which I already knew). He did not give me a new caliper, even though I had a warranty. He didn't even seem to care about my situation since they were the ones who put it on. I will never go back to them. Saw a different dealership and told me the caliper was indeed bad. Very frustrated that they would be that lazy to not fix the issue and rather tell me about other things that are not of my concern right now. Poor customer service. I feel jipped off and annoyed that they don't care for their customers. Because if they had good customer service they would've fixed the issue and not lied to me. Good luck to whoever trusts that place. Nothing but a money scam.

Sadly, I have spent far too much money here keeping an older minivan on the road - Anthony and the crew have always been straightforward in talking through the problems and have done great work keeping it going so my family is safe. Would I recommend these guys? Yes...yes I would.

William Schmidt

Very positive experience, needed 4 tires (very badly) and needed them on the spot. The service rep was very kind and helped me throughout the whole process. Because I needed it on the spot and it was going to take a couple of hours they offered me a ride home. I couldn't speak highly enough about the whole experience. Awesome tires, awesome service, awesome job. A+ will definitely be back for all my cars servicing needs.
