Went in to have my all-season tires switched out for winter tires I've had for about two years now, and they took well over an hour to do the job. I was charged over $70 for a job I've had done for about $20 at other shops. They never mentioned the price or how long I would have to wait. I also never received an apology for having been made to wait for so long.

5 is the max rating but I would give this place a 10 if I could. Ernie Crock is about the most accommodating tire professional in North America. We were headed across the commonwealth to Ohio for a wedding when we got a flat the evening before the wedding that couldn’t be plugged. We decided to get a hotel room and called Tire Town at 7:30 on Saturday morning. Ernie assured us he would have us on the road in under an hour. We dropped the car off at 8 and it was done before 8:30 and for a modest price. We were on the road to our wedding by 9 with time to spare. Unfortunately it’s unlikely I’ll get a chance to give him my business again - but you definitely should.

This place is the worst auto repair in State College! Very rude customer service! Very overpriced service! I made there wheel alignment but they insisted me to buy new tires from them for. But then I noticed that they didn't make me alignmen! I think they just wanna sell me tires! Please , be carefull with them!

I had a tire emergency of sorts on a day that I had to leave to drive a few hundred miles. I needed to get on the road quickly. Tire town got me up and running in about an hour. I told them I was concerned about two of the tires (one definitely needed to be replaced). Had they told me to replace both, I would have not hesitated. They were honest and told me that one of the two was fine. The price was also significantly lower than the dealership for a perfectly fine tire.

I needed to get my snow tires changed out on a Saturday on short notice. I called and they said if I could get there by 12:30, they could do it. I got there at 12:20, dropped it off quickly. They called me back at 1:10 and said it was ready. Even got one tire patched at no extra cost. Great experience overall and I will be back in the fall to get the snow tires put back on.

Tire Town is a decent shop. just as long as you don't deal with J.R.! I have taken my mothers car there a few times over the years,and he is always rude. I even seen him once swearing (f-bomb) and screaming at a young employee! this is why I personally don't take my car there.everyone else seems to be very friendly and eager to help.

I usually don't complain about things and I was just going to let this pass, but then thought I should mention it here so that other customers might have a better future experience. I've purchased tires in the past from JR at Tire Town and brought vehicles in for work and have always had great customer service, until today. I called to schedule service for my vehicle and spoke with JR. During the conversation he was kind of rude and condescending, cutting me off while we were talking. The drop-off experience wasn't real pleasant either--curt and short, like I was a bother--customer service FAIL. So when you call or visit the shop, maybe ask to speak with someone else--the rest of the staff that I worked with was friendly and courteous. I was satisfied with the PA inspection work.

Twice now we have had a car in for inspection, and they try to nickle and dime the customer for every little thing on the car. One of the tires was a few lbs short and they wanted an additional 25.00 dollars to "check" it. What a joke, avoid at all costs!!!

I had a slow leak in one of my tires so after a little bit of internet research decided on Tire Town. I stopped by without an appointment at 7:45 Am and was out by 8:15. Their service was fast and friendly and their prices were fair- FIVE STARS! *FYI I overheard one of the service dudes say that they basically can be busy at any given time because of the high volumes of walk ins they get, but the most likely time to hit them up without a wait was between 9am-11am.

This is the best auto repair shop I've ever visited. The service is excellent. The customer service representatives are friendly. The prices are lower than comparable estimates at dealer service departments. You can even walk in and they'll start diagnosing the car immediately, whereas at dealers an appointment is usually necessary.

I didn't care much for the way I was treated. Sure, I got solid winter tires at a fair price; however, they were condescending and tried to steer me away (pun happily unintended) from purchasing a specific tire that Consumer Reports had recommended for spring/summer/fall. I took my money elsewhere and won't be returning. I'm in the minority though so take my review with a grain of salt.

Terrible, terrible service. I paid 339 to get 2 new front tires and to have them balanced. The day after I was driving and heard a grinding sound and they checked it out and told me that it was my back bearings, even though I told them to look at the front of my car. I ended up paying for back bearings anyway which weren't in bad shape and then I went back a 3rd time and was meant with utter impatience and disrespect . I was even told that I can't use their service againbecause I didn't understand how the problem wasn't easily diagnosed especially since it was right after I paid for FRONT tires etc... All in all they made me being disappointed about it my fault when clearly they should've checked the front for obvious reasons. So basically they just wanted to upsell me to do more service and pay more money, while I'm driving dangerously... I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE

Scheduling an oil change and rotation was easy, able to get a same day appointment. Could have waited, took approximately 40 minutes to complete, recommend drop off or walk to Wegmans/Target for a little shopping if you wait.

Went in today with the donut on my car and asked about used tires. The gentleman assisting me advised that I’d need 4 if I replaced it as to not cause alignment issues. He suggested I fix the tire instead. In and out in 15 minutes and the repair job was only 25 bucks! I appreciated not being coerced into buying something I didn’t need. Great service.

I have been going to Tire Town for the past few years now. Their service is absolutely stellar and, in all the times I've had any tire issues, I don't think I had to wait more than an hour! This is because they have two teams, one that solely works on tire issues and another that handles all the other scheduled services (oil changes, etc). Large parking lot, easy to get to, free coffee & good tunes - this place feels more like an 'old neighborhood' auto shop where you would know everyone by name. More important than all of this is I trust them with both the work and the prices. There isn't another place I would go for tire related issues, whether it's a patch job or a new set of sneakers.

I went to lunch today and had a flat tire. I made it across the street to fill it with air then drove up the street to Tire Town. Only 20 minutes later my tire was fixed for a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. I didn't even need to take a longer lunch. Staff was very friendly and courteous as well. :)

2 of my tires had been leaking for a few months. I couldn't figure out why. The tread was good. I went to tire town and they figured out that the rims were corroded. They ground them down and so far everything is good. And much cheaper than new tires. 1 hour tops. Depending on what time you go. I got there before lunch. No appointment. Just roll in.

Quality Work and Honest People. I started to take my cars to Tire Town for inspections, tires, and mechanical work several years ago and have been very pleased. Another inspection shop I use to go to always seemed to find something wrong that would cost a few hundred dollars to fix and pass inspection. Tire Town does honest work. They follow inspection guidelines to the letter I am sure, but their mechanics don't lie or break things just to get more work. I have had them do repair work and I have purchased tires from them, and have had no problems. They do quality work for a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Always had a great experience here. They fixed an electrical problem after another local shop failed, and at half the price. Took my van here when it broke down and they realized that they wouldn't be able to do the job but pointed me to someone who could. Didn't charge me a cent. Most recently had a brake line fixed and it was done by mid-afternoon under quote. Always call before they do any work, and they are polite and happy to explain the problem.
