John McGroarty, the store manager, saved our vacation. We were traveling home from Portland, Maine to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On I-81, we hit the “mother of all potholes,” big, deep, and mean! The pothole blew out the driver side front and rear tires. Luckily, my car has run-flat tires so I could continue driving. My thoughts were of having to stay at the least overnight, having to buy two cheap non-run-flat tires which I would have to replace when I got home and missing a surprise party for a longtime friend
.
My son immediately began looking for tire stores. The Jack Williams Mountain Top, Pennsylvania store was the closest. It was 5:35 pm, and online it said it was closing at 6:00. My son called and asked could we come as it would be another 15 minutes to get there. John said they were still working on another car and that he would stay open. We arrived at 5:50. John took my information and said they would get it in on a lift in a few minutes. They took the car in by 6 pm. The assessment confirmed that both left-side tires need to be replaced. They had matching tires in stock – few stores have run-flats no less my particular size and brand!!. We were back on the road by 6:35. I have been driving over 50 years and have had many tires replaced but never with this speed and efficiency. I felt the whole team at Jack Williams was like a NASCAR pit crew. IN AND OUT IN A FEW SECONDS! The car drove beautifully with the two new tires.
As if that is not enough, John also made several calls to help me with the road hazard tire insurance on my destroyed tires. Needless to say, ‘5 STARS ISN’T A HIGH ENOUGH RATING!
John McGroarty is the best and so is everyone at Jack Williams Tires!
