REVIEWS OF Sandy Blvd Point S Tire & Auto IN Oregon

I got a flat tire while in Portland, downtown. Went to a friends house off Sandy , no one home. Aired up the tire and went down the street to SBT&A, which also has "Goodyear" tire signs on the outside for easy sighting. They said they could fix it in an hour!. Cool! Had to be back in Tigard that evening. They fixed it in way less than an hour at no charge!!!~I will definitely buy my next set of tires here!!! Jason Frost treated me well!! Thanks Guys!!

Jeremy Jenkins

Great service! Needed an emergency tire plug and they took care of me immediately. Brittany was a great help and the team took care of my problem in the time promised. Will definitely be coming back!

Nothing brings more peace in life than a trustworthy car repair shop, and with Brett and James at the helm here, this is the shop that brings me that peace of mind. When I have any car maintenance or repair items needed, I simply drop it off, if I need, they drive me home. I don't even ask for prices many times because I know they have my best interest at heart. Keep up the good work!

Chefs Charlie and Alicia Mattouk

First major repair after several oil changes. Excellent service from start to finish. I was able to leave my car on a Saturday night, drop my keys in the box, and got a call back confirming they had the car AND a loaner first thing Monday morning at 7:30am. These guys (and gal) rule!!!

Chris Maday

great quality and quick service!

Jonathan Gee

I manage a fleet of delivery vans and trust Sandy Tire and Auto for all of our maintenance. I even take my own car in here when it needs work done. Great service, extremely knowledgeable and always very friendly.

smimtiaz siddique

These guys are amazing, life savers actually. I was going to three different shops to get new tires, a new rim and alignment which was frustrating. A friend referred me to Brett so I went to see him and he gave me a perfect deal for all 3 services and saved me about $400. I highly recommend this place!

What a bummer to see that your tire is losing air. And on a day that you are due at the airport to pick up family. Luckily, I found Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto. Called at 2:00, asked if I could bring in at 3:30. They agreed. When I got there, check in was super fast, and my tire was fixed within 45 minutes, even though they had cars pouring out of every corner of the shop. They were super busy but kept their word about how long my repair would take. I waited down the block at a great coffee shop and was early to the airport. Such a great experience!!!

Alexis Moore

First time going in, I had a nail in my tire and needed a patch. They got me in right away and an hour or so later I picked it up and they had fixed my tire for FREE. Really nice guys, will definitely return.

Carolyn Blum

I have been coming here for about a year and have always had a great experience. Customer service is top notch and the mechanics are knowledgeable and let you know what needs to be fixed right away and what things can wait. I highly recommend Sandy Blvd. Tire and Auto and even had my mom start coming here. Thanks guys!

Alex Polyak

Made an appointment to have tires installed this week and after dropping car off, got a call that they made a mistake and didn't have them in stock. While I would otherwise be inclined to leave a negative review, they admitted to the mistake and went above and beyond to find a sister location closer to me, eat the freight cost, and discount additional services for the inconvenience. Aside from the mistake in the first place, they demonstrated top notch customer service.

liz Fouther-Branch

Everyone was helpful and I appreciate that.

Julia Irizarry

Friendly, fast, and helpful. I had a brand of tires picked and an idea of which tire I wanted, they helped me decide on which pair of tires I need based on my lifestyle without making me feel like I was getting juked because I'm a female. They were able to get the tires to their store and on my car in the same day. Highly recommend. I also don't typically write reviews, but my experience there was really good. I called them in the morning and had new tires on my car by the afternoon.

Jess Wolf

They've always taken such good care of me and my van. Brittany is very kind and informative. I will continue to recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks for the fantastic service!

Brittany Fowler

Danny took great care of my Subaru. The issue I had is fixed, and he and his team got me back on the road ahead of schedule. Danny was able to answer my questions and provide information on the problem in a way I could understand (because I'm not a mechanic). I will definitely make Sandy Blvd. Tire my go to for my car issues in the future. Thanks, guys!

Eugene Dan

Very pleased with everything. Great customer service and communication. Tire prices comparable with everyone in the area. Synthetic Oil changes are BY FAR the best prices hands down anywhere in the area as well.

My car sometime starts and sometime not. I took it here for them to check it. They told me the stater went bad and they estimate $750 to change it. I did not want to do it because my car is old and you know what they did to my car. They unplugged the wire that connected to the solenoid stater. From that I could not start my car at all. I called my friend and we both worked on it. Finally, we figured out the wire unplugged. One of the screw that tie the battery with the stater was loose that cause sometime the car starts and sometime not. We tied the screw and plugged the wire back. The car starts like normal. They charge me $52.50 for the estimation and that is the money I have to pay for that dirty job. James is the person that has big mouth blah blah blah.. about my car problems and he is the one that tell the technician to unplug the wire so I cannot go anywhere. If you don't know about the car, don't take it here. They will rip you off.

Leela Longson

I was a customer of theirs in the past and returned for help replacing my missing hubcaps. They went above and beyond helping me find affordable hubcaps (elsewhere) and installing them at no financial gain to themselves. I'll remember them!

Devon Snider

I have bought a set of tires for both of my cars from Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto and they have been nothing but helpful whenever I have an issue. I have gotten a nail in my tire a couple of times and they always jump on it to fix the problem when I call. They are also some real stand up guys. I got a quote for some work on my car and Brett (the store manager) thought I only needed work on the rear struts of my car and gave me a quote. When I dropped off the car he took the keys and got to work. After they got started they realized that I wanted work done on all of the struts. He completed the work on all of the struts but honored the original quoted price that he gave me. I know it was a mistake on their part but he could have come back and charged me what it actually cost to do the work. I will be buying my tires and getting suspension work done at Sandy Blvd Tire for a long time to come! Great people to talk to as well.

I bought a set of tires when this was a Goodyear store 2 years ago. Recently, one of the tires seemed to have a slow leak, so I brought the car in to have the tire checked out. I left and when I came back they told me I needed 4 new tires. I was a little taken aback, the tires are all relatively new ( I don't drive much). I said I wasn't going to buy 4 new tires today. They had done an inspection and had sent an email with a photo of the tire with a big nail in the side wall. The rational was that you can't repair a hole in the side wall. Because it is an all wheel drive, you don't want the tread to be different on one of the tires, so you need 4 new ones. I wasn't about to buy 4 new tires on the spot and told them I would just take the car. They said they didn't think it was drivable. I insisted and they put the tire back on and away I went. The next day, my partner took the tire off and could not find a nail in the side wall at all. He did find a very repairable nail in the running surface. He took it to Double J and they repaired it for $8. As far as I can tell, they put a photo of a different tire in their report. Glad I trusted my gut and got the heck out of there. I am happy to say I can amend this review. I got a call from the shop after posting this insisting that there was a nail in the shoulder area of the tire. We went and checked and yes, in a different tire that wasn't loosing air, there was a nail in the shoulder area. This is the picture they had put in their inspection report. Because the tire with nail in the shoulder area wasn't loosing air, we suspected that it hadn't pierced the tire body, but of course there is only one way to find out. We removed the nail, which proved to be more of a tack or maybe just a nail head, and found no sign of leakage. We tested the site with soapy water and concluded that the tire was not punctured and luckily I still didn't need a new set of tires. Had they said that they tire I came in to get inspected had a nail in it and was repairable, but they also found a different problem with another tire that may or may not be fixable, I would have been fine with that. To simple state you need four new tires seems a bit of a hard sell. In my experience, communication was not their strong. I will credit them with reaching out and that qualifies as good customer service to me.

Hayden S. Burton-Miller

I've been looking for a shop that could help me with my logistical issues, as I work nights, and it's always huge pain in the ass when you don't live in the 9-5 world. Brittney was polite, and accommodating. Sandy T&A gave me an honest quote, completed everything in the stated timeframe, and provided me with a detailed report on my vehicle.

Bob Graham

Had my timing belt changed, they forgot to plug in my fans on my radiator. The car overheated on a mountain drive and blew up the radiator.

Marc Delpech

It was a dark and rainy morning when my car suddenly informed me that my left rear tire pressure was low. Thankfully I was just passing by the great people of Sandy Blvd Tire: I pulled into their driveway and they immediately came to my assistance and saved my day. Merci! (They have a French speaking mechanic!) :)

Jon Zweiger

Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto aligned my Porsche Cayman autocross car perfectly to the specs I needed! Awesome job and the car handles like it's on rails now! Thanks!! Edit: I came back again in February, this time with my AMG, got 4 new tires and was in and out quickly and at a great price! Thanks Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto!

Emily Jo Fredendall

as a young woman trying to take care of a car almost as old as me i am used to being given exorbitant quotes. i was able to get my battery replaced and car checked out because it felt off. they did an alignment and let me know my front end was good and my tires had plenty of tread even though they could probably have told me there was some 400$ issue due to be fixed immediately. dropped it off early and got it less than 2.5 hours later. good guys. quick service.

Michelle Llaguno

I cannot recommend Point S (formerly Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto) enough. Recently we were shipping our old car to my mother in a different state, and a routine oil change shed light on some other issues. It wasn't too surprising - the car is an '08 with almost 140K miles on it - but we were short on time and wanted to make sure the car was safe and in good condition once my mother got it. Both Jason and Brett were so helpful and gracious, working within a specific budget and coming in early to work on our car so it was ready before it had to be shipped. It's this kind of expert care and service that will keep us coming back again and again.

Linus Rollman

I had a great experience here. Everyone was friendly, and the service was thorough and fast. I just drove home, so I suppose time will tell, but it appears that the issue is fixed.

Molly Cameron

Great new re-brand of the store and same great, reliable service.

flamulated

Have been a regular here through several vehicles and a number of years. Just had another in a series of great customer service experiences. Extra time spent making sure I understood complicated results of diagnostics on older Jeep as well as time/effort coming up w a safe interim fix until I can afford to do all of the recommended services and repairs. Also noteworthy is that over the years many times they have swapped a headlight or fixed a puncture in a tire on the spot and with the quickness keeping my combination work truck/delivery vehicle/dadmobile on the road without a hiccup. Hate having car problems, love having this place nearby.

Vulcan Admin

For 10 years using these guys and they always get the job done for a fair price.

David Long

When you need advice and service in an area you don't know much about, its great to have people you can trust. These are people you can trust.

Douglas Anderson

Great staff!

Jaden Lanning

Great service! Will be back for the other two tires!

Ashley Faust

Honest & helpful service

Jon Masters

Had a flat and they gave me a great deal on a new tire. Service was fast and the price was more than fair. 5 stars.

James Hamman

Just ending up getting an inspection. Jason my rep was great though! Would recommend.

Service was very professional, John was great to work with and the work that was done was excellent. No bogus claims of random broken things. They have a great system where they take pictures and provide clear recommendations. The work done was excellent, having a wheel alignment completed on a 13 year old car makes the experience feel like night and day. The only and pretty big issue is pricing, I wish I could give them more business with the work that was identified but, 850$ for brake pad and rotor replacements seemed wrong, so I called around 3 other shops to confirm my feeling and the average was 550$ for my make year and model. Was quoted for 120$ to replace engine and cabin air filters, that made me flinch. It is the responsibility of the customer to get more educated about the cost, so lessons learned by me. Here's a break down for what I did have done and cost. -replace spark plugs. 251$ (this seems more expensive than average, but have not done research) -mount install and balance 4 tires. 502$. Tires were 109$ per tire. -replace windshield wiper 28$ - wheel alignment 60$ (50% off for purchasing 4 tires) - 28$ shop supply fee and 8$ to get rid of old tires. Edit: Had to cut 2 stars, was quoted at 427$ for tires and labor, but was charged 502$. I don't mind being overcharged as I view that as being my responsibility, but this is a case of straight up trickery. Not going back.

Shane Kucera

Quick service. Jason was very professional. No hassles. The shop is exceptionally clean and well managed.

Lisa Dugan

Friendly and thorough. Trustworthy. Definately recommend for women that want to find a trustworthy place to work on their car.!!!

Rebecca Moore

I've been taking my car here for a few years and I keep coming back because they've earned my trust. I needed a new hybrid battery and didn't realize Honda had extended the warranty to cover it. These guys could have charged me thousands for a new battery and service, but instead they informed me of the service alert from Honda and the extended warranty, so I could go across town to the dealer for free service under the warranty. I was within 10 miles of the mileage cutoff, too, so they could have easily not informed me; I would have quickly driven out of qualifying range and I would have never known the difference. To me, that's a trust that's hard to come by in this business and it's why I keep coming back. They've never tried to talk me into unnecessary repairs and are always prompt and courteous in all interactions. I appreciate them very much.

AuntieSash Hazlewood

These folks are great. They pay attention, help me understand the diagnosis, and do great work.

Adrian Robins

One of the easiest and most pleasant experiences I've had at an auto shop. These guys were quick, professional, and friendly, and they gave me a great deal on my flat tire. Will definitely come back.

LGayle Gustafson

I needed maintenance and repairs on my 1995 Ford Taurus. Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto was able to take care of my car right away.

Chris Nelson

Can't say enough great things about these folks!! Recently purchased an older Pleasure Way camper van built on a Dodge van chassis – and then couldn’t find anyone willing to work on it. Brett, James and team were not only willing to tackle it, but have provided fabulous service at reasonable prices (even getting the van in for prompt repairs on short notice) and have made sure that the vehicle was completely road worthy before sending it out. They've been totally trustworthy - haven’t done any more work than was needed, have recommended conservative approaches rather than selling unnecessary parts and services, and have been straightforward, friendly, and fun to deal with on every occasion. They've earned my return business and highest recommendation!

Carolyn Smith

World class. We have been bringing our car here for over 8 years. Staff is always upbeat and willing to help. Over the winter we stopped in for a flat repair. They were so busy with all the people needing snow tires I honestly felt bad. The manager said its ok and took my keys. He went out pulled our car up on the side of the building and did it himself. He did not have to do that. We could have waited it was not losing that much air. He assured me it was no problem and wanted to make sure we were safe. This is not just your normal auto repair shop. These folks get it. Customer service is the name of the game and it started from the top. Thanks so much for always keeping our family safe.

Jodie Hale

I love this place. The help is fantastic and they truly do care about what is going on with your vehicle. They are a little bit on the pricey side but that's because you are paying for quality.

Aaron Bronikowski

Always do a thorough and professional job working on my vehicle. They also give you a photographic breakdown of the repairs that are being done, repairs that you will need in the near future, and repairs that you can expect to have down the line. They've always been great about working within a budget as well. I've had a lot of mechanics (for better or worse) over the years and these guys do a great job!

ryan powers

Not only are they awsome people but astounding quality work. I went through tire rack and chose these guys because there the highest recommended garage on the site in Portland. Not only did they beat tore rack pricing by about 200 but I felt one of my tires wasn't balanced right on the dot and I called and right away they scheduled me around my busy 6 day work week and fixed it no time at all.

Anne Koenning

The staff at Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto were very helpful. I called in not knowing what the best tire would be for my vehicle and they took the time to go through my options and give me a quote. I spoke to their staff in person when dropping off my car to confirm my tire choice and received helpful feedback and information to make the best choice. They completed the work in a Saturday afternoon and provided a full maintenance report.

Super Fan

OUTSTANDING SERVICE, Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto fit me in at one of their busiest times, and put a great set of tires on our car!

Keith Gregory

I had an excellent experience here. Highly recommend using this place. Great and friendly staff with fair pricing.

Lake Grove

The guys at Sandy Blvd were great! I drive a Honda and the crew are always very informative and knowledgeable. The shop is clean and very well lit. I did some work while my car was being serviced. Brett and James are very respectful and shared safety concerns with me. The price was fair and competitive. I was back on the road in no time. Thank you Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto

John Breding

Great service, reasonable pricing, and prompt. Staff was very friendly and helped me to figure out what I needed done to my vehicle without trying to sell or push me into anything I didn't need. Would definitely return and have already recommended to others.

Turnip Soup

First time here and will be staying with them. They went above and beyond. Very satisfied! Thanks! Second time there. They have a truly rare thing these days - Customer Service. There's a reason they have 5 stars. Great prices too.

Derek

Sandy Auto is fantastic! Excellent pricing, great service! We bring both our vehicles here, I’ve never had anything but good to say about these folks!

Jerry Putts

These guys are the best. They helped my husband during the snowstorm and even called his corporate office and got them to pay for his tires and chains. They are professional and wonderful! I highly recommend them!

Brent Baltuff

I manage an automotive repair shop in Wisconsin and we have a mutual customer. The vehicle broke down due to a part failure and the customer asked me to call Jason at Sandy Blvd. from the couple phone calls, quick service and immediate call backs it is clear to me they are their to help however they can. That is true customer service! Great job Jason and crew at Sandy Blvd!

Rylee Twinam

I will definitely be returning to Sandy Blvd Point S. I got a fantastic deal on a set of 4 all-weather tires, on top of really fantastic service from the staff. Jason Faust was really great in helping me figure out the best tires for my vehicle, as well as being very honest about future work that needs to be done on my car (not at all pushy, like many other shops). They definitely care about fostering a real shop-customer relationship. It seems this shop also has *significantly* better prices on synthetic oil changes than any other place I have found in Portland.

Xander Swart

Great service, loved their analytical report on my car. Highly recommended.

Sarah Moody

It took nearly three hours for them to do an oil change and replace the cabin filter, and that was with a scheduled appointment. It is no longer convenient for me to keep coming here for routine maintenance.

Toby Donovan

I really wanted to like this place, but their prices are outrageous. On my last visit every service they offered was about twice as much as I see everywhere else. For front and rear diff service they charged $579 on a Jeep JK (not including transfer case, that's an additional $356)! That included 4.75 pints of 75W140 that they charged at $33.05 per PINT for a total of $156.99! When I notified them of that they said it was a computer error and reduced the price to $20 per pint. Must be some good stuff! I should have done my due diligence before accepting the charges, but I can't afford to ever come back.

John Doe

Took my car in to get an engine coil replaced. They quoted me $170 for a diagnostic that didn't go towards the cost of the repair (that would take a couple hours). I took it to another shop that charged me $190 for the diagnostic/repair and took less than an hour.

Nikki Austin Horn

I brought my car (2002 Tahoe) into this shop for some much needed repairs and was not disappointed. Jason Faust was fantastic in talking with me about what needs to be done vs what could wait a little longer. They give you a detailed print out of the inspection and take the time to go over everything with you. Not at all pushy and the entire staff was very friendly. After my car was done it felt like it was brand new! I was so happy with the results and service.

Diane Swenson

We've been bringing our to Sandy Auto for a long time, they are honest, do great work, and we found them trustworthy every time. Highly recommend!

Olivia Wellborn

These guys are awesome. I came in for tires, and I got a great set. They also did a thorough inspection of my truck as part of the package. This can be scary, because I don't know a ton about cars, and I'm always wary when mechanics tell me I need something done. Here, they take the time to take photos of everything they're inspecting. They explained everything to me in a way that I could understand, and they sent me an email with all the photos and their descriptions of what was going on and how much it might cost. I didn't feel pressured at all, and I was able take some time to think about it and do some of my own research. I ended up doing what they recommended, and I feel great about it... Especially because I randomly had a couple more issues in the next week or so (not related or their fault at all), and they went above and beyond to check everything out and make sure I had a loaner car to get to school on time when I woke up with a dead battery. Highly recommend!!!

Johnny W

Wow, these guys and gals are on top of it. Just moved here from Camas and had to find a new shop. Needed four tires and Pete had to order them. They went out of their way to get them out of their warehouse. Who does that anymore? THEY DO!!

Travis Wiseman

What a great experience!!! They were extremely busy when I stopped into there store to have a tire repaired before heading back to Seattle. Brett went out of his way to get me back on the road at a reasonable price. If I lived in the Portland area, this would be my place to have my vehicle's worked on. Thanks guy!!!!

Paula Shilton

We picked up a nail in our tire over the weekend. Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto removed the nail, put in a plug, sealed the tire, and had us on our way in less than 30 minutes. You are the best!

Vahn Stone

Great Repair Facility. Was informed on my inspection that my tires were getting low on tread. Received an estimate and had them installed the very next day before the snow & ice hit. I was able to drive home in the snow & ice with no problems. I was in and out super quick. This is my forever tire shop. Thank you Jason, John & Brett, you guys rock!

Cathrine Beaty

These guys are terrific! I have been going to a Goodyear place in Utah, so figured would I try these guys out while I'm in Portland. I needed a new headlamp, and wasn't having much success at a local Subaru repair shop. Not only did Sandy Goodyear have the headlamp in stock, they replaced it right away! Thanks so much. I Highly recommend them for service.

a aceves

I brought my car in because the front tire has a slow leak. They were kind enough but charged me $20 to remove the tire (alone) and $3 to clean the bead, which was allegedly dirty due to moisture inside the tire due air. Not exactly the price I expected pay considering how "very common" and simple it was to diagnose and fix (?). Might give them another chance, due to convenience and the fact they sell the tires on my car.

Matt Hutchison

Great service and their technical experience helped save me money on my trailer tires. Many thanks!

evelyn kim

Super friendly service and better prices on snow tires and mounting than anywhere else in town. Positive experience that made it worth the drive across town. Highly recommend.

Hampton Tyler

I love coming here. I wouldn't trust my car with anybody else in Portland. They don't play games, and they're not trying to sell you things. They are straight to the point and they will even help with giving you ideas of when you need things fixed or if you can get away with not having it fixed for a little bit. I like them so much I get my oil change here

PJ Bush

Met my own needs for time. Made a great recommendation for a body work problem I mentioned to him.

Emmanuel Miller

I am a long, long time customer of this service provider. They have consistently provided great mechanical and customer service outcomes for each visit and I have no hesitation about recommending them to others. It is a great relief to know that I will get an honest and cost effective solution to any issue with my 14 year old PT Cruiser.

Mariah Wharton

Super friendly and helpful team. Loved the way they kept me up to date with emails and alerts. Breakdown of car issues and recommended repairs in email was very helpful. Car felt like new after they were done with it. Thanks so much!

Drew Dodd

Ive been coming here for a few years now. I live in WA and make the drive over just to deal with them! James there has always been an awesome help at finding what I need.

Violet S

I really wanted to like these guys after all the good reviews I assumed were real. After several good experiences with oil changes and the like, I was told I had a major several thousand $ problem that doesn't happen in newer cars of my make and model. I believed them in good faith and paid for the work to be done. About a year later I sent a family member there, and he caught them in a lie about work that needed to be done on his car. I defended them, saying it must have been a misunderstanding, even though a second opinion he got proved that his car didn't need the work they quoted. About a year after that, I myself caught them in a lie about work that was supposedly needed on my car. The person I talked to tried to back pedal and say he was having a rough week and got confused... but it was too late. They just got more shady over time and now I wonder if the major work they did was a scam, too. Guess I will never know. I don't trust this place. There are a lot of good reviews here so try them at your own risk. I won't be going back

Ashley Kuhn

Friendly staff! Very welcoming and always complete projects in a timely manner! We will continue to do business with this team! You guys rock!

Jeffrey Carl

I can never say enough good about this store. The customer service is A+. The level of expertise can be seen everywhere - front to back. This time I only needed to see if my vehicle was roadworthy. I know I can trust Brett and his crew. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.

Wesley Mahler

Thanks for taking care of our tires!

Chandler Hull

Went here to get a tire patched, I came in without an appointment, but they were really accommodating in getting me in. The job was done quickly, they were even nice enough to check and do basic service on my tires. Will definitely be coming back here next time I need tires or service.

Angie Ebba

A wonderful company to work with. They quickly got back to me about what needed fixed on my car, gave a very detailed price break-down, and completed repairs in a timely fashion, even leaving water bottles in my car with coupons for my next service. Will definitely be continuing to use them for my car maintenance.

Chris Jentz

Jason & his team are responsive and professional. I trust them with my 16-year-old, beloved Subaru Outback. I had a positive experience when, after a major repair (clutch replacement), an unforeseen complication developed. It was remedied promptly, thoroughly and courteously.

Kim Bosley

Jason is one of the most trustworthy mechanics I’ve ever met...I followed him from his previous employer to this store because he’s such a good guy!

tyler haris

They were able to work with me on the spot when I picked up a screw in my tire. And were able to work within my time limit with no problems and got me back on the road before the end of my work day. Highly recommend them, should I ever be in the area again and need a repair they will be the guys.

Belle Starr

The staff was friendly and HONEST!

Michael Emerson

During the Jr. Parade last week i was impressed to see that one of the busiest businesses in Portland took the time to show their support of the community. They set up a big bouncy house for the kids to enjoy, and passed out free water to keep the heat down. you should've seen them shooting T-shirts high into the air for all the children present. Thanks so much Sandy Blvd Goodyear!!! That was a great time and i look forward to having my car serviced by you guys.

Jonathan Dubay

This is a "buyer beware" place. The price for my tires always changed (in the upward direction)--I had to insist on the quoted price. They were also unwilling to honor valid coupons, either from their website or via their direct mail.

Shermgerm

I went to Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto because they were close to my house, had good/great reviews, and because other Mechanic shops were all full on my only day off. I set up an appointment online, and got a call the next day to tell them more details about what I needed done. Very friendly and nice. I took it in and they were very straight forward about what needed to be done and what else really needed to be taken care of. They love my rig (1994 Manual 4runner 6cyl 3.0) and I felt I could trust them. They did much needed routine maintenance that I knew needed to be done for me to not have to worry about it for a long time. they sent me so many great details and pictures of everything they did. Very friendly and definitely know their stuff. I will for sure be going to them again next time. Thanks guys!

They fit me in on a busy day when I had an emergency. They gave me a good price on services and were very friendly. I plan on going back for all repairs I'll need.

Todd Murphy

Thanks for lying to me about putting the new tires on the back of a front wheel drive vehicle. You should have told the truth instead. You did it to save time. Never coming back.

Pam East

Just after moving my daughter 1200 miles away to Portland, she experienced two flat tires within a month from road hazards. She took her car to Point S on Sandy Blvd for the first repair and we were both so impressed by their level of service, that she took her car back to them for the second flat as well. Second time around required a new set of tires which I feel Point S priced fairly. They also discovered some additional damage to the rim which they repaired, as well as inspected the rest of the car. This mom really appreciates knowing that the folks at Point S are looking out for her safety. Thank you Brett and Pete for your high level of service and care!

Joel Yanagimachi

I would not take your vehicle here. I really tried to work with them on the multiple issues and concerns I had with the work they did and not only did they not take ownership and responsibility but they also showed no empathy or support. I provided them many opportunities and each time they failed to step up. Here’s the snapshot of what happened... They did work I didn’t approve of costing me an extra $1k. Their solution was a $200 discount. A couple thousand miles after they fixed everything from their thorough inspection, I take the vehicle to Jiffy Lube due to oil leakage and they discover a number of concerns linked back to the work Point S did. After taking the vehicle back to Point S and explaining the situation, their solution was to power wash the car to remove oil build up. This destroyed a sensor in the vehicle and damaged the distributor which lead to the car breaking down the following week. They refused to cover the tow and I paid to have it to them after they said they’ll check it out to see why it’s not starting. They later call me saying that I have to pay for replacing the sensor because it won’t turn on and they can’t troubleshoot it. I decided to not proceed with them and go to another mechanic. The next mechanic came as a strong recommendation up in Vancouver and after their repairs and inspections they said the power wash is what destroyed the sensor (sensitive electronic component) and ruined the distributor. Work with Joint S was not a good experience. After speaking with other people, I learned they’ve also had horrible experiences at other Joint S locations. I’m not sure what the franchise is really like other than the theme is consistent. I’ll also add that the cost from the next mechanic was a third of what Joint S quoted me.

Guys at the shop were extremely nice from the booking process over the phone to the in shop service. Would absolutely recommend this shop based on the staff I worked with. Pretty sure it was Jason.

Cody Steinberg

Had a great experience there - they seem very organized, professional, and thorough. I requested a full inspection since my car hasn't had on in 10+ years, and they set up a summary sheet with hi-res photos of all parts of the inspection and tests. James was very helpful and made it easy to understand what I needed vs. what was optional, and the prices were solid on all the services and parts. Tires, brakes, and a serpentine belt/tensioner only took a couple hours to replace, but they let me use a loaner vehicle for the full night anyway for my convenience. Thanks guys! I'll be back.

Jesse Welch

I was happy with their service. Management went out of their way to get my tires the same day, even though it was after the delivery cut off time.

James Palamar

Complete rip off, I sent one of my employees down there and they did 100% mark up on the parts. Unheard of parts prices that don't match their sister stores or bigger competitors. Shady, don't go. Do yourself a favor and avoid it! It's so bad I'm going to file complaint and more. One of those bad shop experiences. They also tried selling me overpriced tires, said my tires weren't safe at all. But my driver went to Cali, Nevada afterward, no issues. Had them checked at Les Schwab and they said tires were fine.

Adam Alexander

Friendly and straightforward, they replaced all 4 tires on my 2010 Prius and performed a realignment at a price I could afford. Plus, all their time estimates were spot-on. (It helped that I had made an appointment.) Recommended!

R Coppa

Excellent service, from the first to last interactions! I received honest advice from Jason and I really appreciate he wasn't trying to be a "salesman", he was very straight forward when telling me about the issues my car was having. The entire staff made the process of getting my car worked on very easy and comfortable. I liked the online communication during the service, this shop knows what they're doing and I'll definitely be back!

Cake Of Eat

$120 an hour for labor? That's insane. Most rural shops charge $60, and urban shops as much as $90. Dealerships typically charge around $90/100. But 120? Not getting my business again.

sterling pullen

I've been taking my cars here for about 5 years. During that time I've been 100 % satisfied. When it comes to tires Brett knows every thing about what will give you the best bang for your buck. I had always taken my cars to the dealer, and couldn't figure out why they always tried to sell me extras. So I asked, they were all on commission, so the more they added on, the more money they pocketed. Haven't been back and will continue to use Sandy Blvd Goodyear Tire and Auto.

Christian Rusby

I had just left for a road trip when the clutch stopped functioning -- you were able to get the car running right away and I was able to leave on my trip. Thank you Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto!

Greg Johnson

Danny represents the firm at the highest level; from the time we engaged on the phone, until I made an appointment and made the purchase. He was calm, polite, knowledgeable, and timely. I had more favorable quotes from competitors for like product, but chose your firm because of Danny.

Dylan DuBord

Got a nail in my tire yesterday, I was able to get an appointment to have it repaired in about an hour. When I got there they had me in and out in as fast as they could. Super friendly and will definitely be back when in need of new tires!

Brandon Smith

This place is amazing. They got me a great deal on 4 new tires for way less than I thought they would cost. They also did a full inspection on my vehicle for FREE. They didn't try and pressure me in to fixing anything, they just wanted to make me aware of issues that may arise in the future. I ended up getting a screw in my tire after only a few months, and they repaired it on the spot. If you need new tires, or auto work done this is a one stop shop.

Vision Flow

My service with them started out ok-tires, all good and a fair price. But then before a long road trip I spent a significant amount replacing basic parts and just having overall service to ensure reliability on the trip. Well, twice we were stuck and delayed when my vehicle didn't start. Once in middle of nowhere. The second person to help us saw a problem with dirt and buildup that kept a certain connection from happening. Turned out just cleaning it right there worked. But, since I spent nearly $1000 making it "garunteed" road worthy I took it back to Point S. I certainly get that my vehicle is older and anything could happen- but the fact that it was just this connection issue and somebody just removed the build-up and debris makes me it seem like it would have been a basic thing that would have been looked at in readying for the trip. I took it back to Point S to have them go over/look at the problem- to clean it well and make sure thats what it really was. Spoke about it, in detail, on the phone and at drop off. I explained what happened on the road trip. While there I wanted an oil change too. Close to three hours after bringing my car in it was declared done. They did the oil change only-saying that the connection issue was an "anomaly". Didn't sound like they even checked it. So-basically I waited nearly 3 hours for just an oil change and window washer fluid re-fill. Could have went close to home to Jiffy Lube for same and way less time. And after I left the "change oil" light stayed on! I first thought that driving it would make it go off. Nope. A call to them-they want me to come back in and will turn it off. More time. Also- one other thought- its not so good when an employee of your company shares with the customer that the place is run chaotically and inconsistent. I still went there after hearing that-but won't now.

Walter Woodward

It is always a breath of fresh air when you go to get your car repaired and you walk out without any issues, satisfied with the service, and glad you chose the place you did. I had a squealing alternator belt which was getting downright embarrassing. Point S and their technicians not only fixed the issue, but also did a very thorough analysis of the vehicle free of charge complete with pictures, and not just generic ones, but of my actual vehicle! Definitely impressed and happy with the service. Thanks Point S for setting a higher standard for auto repair!

Evan Bicher

I came in to have my tire patched and they fixed it quickly and let me know that the threads running low on a couple of the others. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. Danny helped me out, very good guy.

Kevin Churilla

Amazing service! Called Jason Faust the service writer right after I broke down. Had my 2007 Dodge Ram towed to their shop and they got started right away. The price for the repairs was reasonable and fair. Had my truck back two days later.

Dorothy T.

I was visiting from out of town and my radiator blew a hole in the outer casing. It was late in the afternoon and the team got me in immediately and even stayed late to finish the work. They were incredibly friendly nice and over-the-top accommodating!

Paul Beck

Wow. Three hours out of town when my trusty car flashes “check engine”. High stress until I text Brett at Sandy Blvd Tire. He immediately calls and directs me to their shop right down the street in Renton. I walk in. I’m greeted by name. In less than 15 minutes, Travis and his staff find the issue, and lower my stress. Thank you, Brett, at Sandy Blvd Tire if Portland. Thank you, Travis, of Good Neighbor Tire in Renton. Will trust my car to nobody else.

David Waite

I had a great experience at this store today! I’ve been a long term customer of a competitor up the street (name starts with “F”). I had a slow leak in a “F” tire today. They said I had to make an appointment! That’s not acceptable. Goodyear, however, took care of me right away, even though I’ve never been a customer! Now I am.

jason eversman

I've been coming here for regular car maintenance for a few years and have always been satisfied with the thoroughness of the service. Recently I needed a punctured tire repaired and wondered about the new name & signage—but it just means they're no longer just dealing Goodyear tires. I was able to make an appointment on short notice & get the tire repaired at a very reasonable cost. Hassle-free automotive service is invaluable.

Celeste Ruberti

I'm so glad we live close to Point S. We've had great experiences there. I feel like the techs do a great job of diagnosing issues and letting you know what preventative maintenance needs to be done to keep your car running. I really appreciate the service here!

Kirana Kefalos

My tire had a nail in it. Danny was really helpful. They got me right in same day and took care of it and inspected lots other things (good to know there are somethings that I need to address non-urgently). I was done in a few hours and it was all no charge! I'll be going back there to get new tires. I highly recommend them.

Logan Smesrud

You really can't find a better place than Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto! My car broke down on I-5 so I got towed there by AAA. Even though it was a super busy Saturday for them, they managed to squeeze me in and get my car into good shape in only a few hours! BIG SHOUT OUT TO JAMES for giving my car priority attention since I needed to drive back to school the next day. Thanks so much! This place is the best!!!!

Leon Geeste

The guys in the shop were incredibly helpful with my car. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of as quickly and efficiently as possible and I really appreciate all that they've done

liz giles

No parking. Poor service. Attempted to charge me $70 for something another Point S shop did for free.

Matt Fellin

Friendly, efficient, and fair. New to the area and this was the second shop I have been to. I have found my new auto mechanics for as long as I am here. I really appreciate all the detail they go into with taking pictures and made me feel like I was only getting what I needed (I know this sounds naive, but I have dealt with some serious fluffers before and I did not get that impression at all) and made very fair recommendations for when I hit 100,000 miles within the coming year. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Bianca de Guzman

Trusting Caring humans work here!!! Bret is the man! Def recommend this shop!

Justin Godoy

Skip to the end for the bottom line, but here is the story: In September my 2002 Honda accord started leaking oil out of the blue at a rate of about a quart every 10 seconds. I had recently had my timing belt replaced at Brake Team so I decided to have my car towed there since it could not be driven, assuming the warranty would cover whatever was happening with the car. After Brake team took apart the engine, they said the oil gasket was broken, and the brand new timing belt was ruined and none of this was covered under their warranty since they claimed they didn't touch these parts during the timing belt change. Total estimate 1,000. I decided to have it towed to Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto and see what they quoted me. I received a call less than a day later with news that the repairs would be 400$ cheaper. Apparently a seal needed to be replaced and the oil gasket was fine. ALSO, they replaced both my front tires for FREE, since they were separating and on the verge of popping, they even freaking washed my car since the brake team techs had left it filthy with hand prints. BOTTOM LINE: HONEST, CERTIFIED TECHS, FRIENDLY STAFF AND MGMT. AND FAIR PRICES. Don't try to take your car to some brake team, or other place you think will save you money in the present, because it will only cost you more in the long term, and they probably will be shady and overcharge you anyway. Thank you Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto.

Robert Jones

We take both our cars here and the service and quality of work is top notch always. They give Text updates and never pressure to do extra work but incredibly thorough and make sure you know what needs to be done. Today I came by for a headlight out and they got me in without an appointment and on my way in minutes. The real service came when I realized I didn’t have my debit card and they were able to charge me next time I bring my car in for regular service. They helped me out without making me go out of my way to drive home and come all the way back. This level of service anywhere is unheard of. I hate dealing with car maintenance as we all do but they make it the easiest process possible and their prices are amazing. I won’t take my cars anywhere else!

roxanne griffith

Super experience the team at Point s are on top of there game. Took only 40 minuets for them to repair my tire. Grateful that I did not have buy new tries. Great service.

Melissa Stanley

Great experience! James was very helpful. My new tires are amazing!

Matthew Horvat

I paid for an inspection/diagnosis to take care of a wobble in the steering wheel. They said I needed new tires and brakes. Tires got rid of the problem so I took it to another shop to verify the brake situation. Nothing wrong with the brakes. Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto didn't admit to a mistake after they again thoroughly reinspected the brakes. Could have cost me $$$ that I didn't need to spend.

Mary Nametka

Excellent service. Love the detailed service report w photos. Finally feel I'm getting accurate info. I will be back!!

Ryan Lewis

These guys are awesome. As a business owner myself, I know what it takes to maintain services levels so high and it takes a TON of work the customer never sees. These guys pull it off flawlessly. Lowest price in town, got the tires fast, even diagnosed a problem I couldn't see with my engine. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

Asil Toksal

Wow! these guys are not just super friendly, professional, and fast, but actually have their heart at the right place. On our journey through the states of pacific northwest, this was our last day in Portland before our trip back to Asia, where we live. And the rental got a flat. They fixed it in no time, and we were on the road with a blessing. Thank you! anytime again, and wishing you prosperity and all the best in work and in life!

Nicholas Cook

I had a stellar experience with this company. Brittany was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. They were fast, well priced and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I highly recommend them.

Mark Haworth

I located sandy auto because of the affiliation with goodyear tires. Inwanted to buy american tires for my american thunderbird. They had what i needed at a super price and scheduled me within days. They performed an extensive vehicle inspection with pictures and explanations at every step. They found a faulty part in my suspension and provided and instant quote to replace. We agreed and i returned two days later for the repair. Completed faster than quoted and the car for my car was outstanding. Complete dialogue with the actual mechanic and again emailed reports with pictures to me along with verification of my payments and a very sincere thankyou for my business. I would trust them again and again Mark Haworth Vancouver,wa

Our family has been bringing our cars here for decades. They are extremely courteous and kind. The work is phenomenal down to the photographs and detailed inspection reports. Best shop hands down! I recently had a snowball of car chaos after having my car emergency “repaired” on the coast. They actually helped us find the other mechanics mistake and got us back on the road in time to save the kid’s Halloween AND the vehicle. They give options and tell you the truth. Obviously, we’ll never go elsewhere and are beyond grateful for he excellent care and service. Thanks isn’t enough but THANK YOU!

Elise Blum

Brett and the gang were fantastic when I needed help. They followed through with honest estimates and made the trip to the shop quick and easy, which aren't words I typically associate with a visit to the mechanics. THANK YOU Sandy Tire & Auto!

Jamey Billig

I was wary of the Goodyear chain, but went in because it was near by; any doubts I had were put to rest when they were super helpful, friendly, listened, tested, gave me options, and then recommendations. Quality experience all around. I got the impression that they wanted to earn repeat customers by doing it right, but moreso, I got the impression that they were just good guys doing the job right! Recommended!

Sarah Leigh

These guys are GREAT. I randomly stopped here a few months ago when my car felt funny on the highway. They checked it out for free and told me about a few things I needed done. Brought my car back in for routine maintenance a few times since and have always been 100% pleased with the service--these guys don't upsell you or talk over your head. Highly recommended!

kyle doerksen

I've used Point S Tire & Auto at this location 3 times now and each time I feel they do a great job of performing the work that is requested and I also appreciate the fact that they present other findings in a way that is not pushy but more informative.

Annmarie Bulbuk

From the moment I walked in the door they took exceptional care of me. Best and honest prices! They don't try to sell you what you don't need, and they get the job done quickly and efficiently. If you're looking for that place you can trust for your car this is the perfect place.

Sher Seven

I gave them a one star on my first review because I picked up my car and there was a problem with the tires like it was going to fall of, but I changed it to 5 start now and had to delete the review because they don't deserve to have it on their site! there was an issue with my car after I picked it up from them and I was really disappointed about it. It turned out that it wasn't their fault after all. It was the tow truck that towed my car to the shop. Anyways, not only it wasn't their fault. Manager Brett went above and beyond and fixed the problem for me, he even offered me the best deal regarding finances that I don't think I can find at any shop. Customer service is EXCELLENT too! Shout out to Brittany for her excellent customer service and all the other guys working always having that positive attitude! GOOD JOB yall! KEEP IT UP!

Hillary Hamblen

Staff was super friendly and squeezed me in the same day even though they were busy. They even stayed open a little late for me!

Amy R

Happy with their work, but took longer than promised.

Rick Graves

Sandy Blvd Tire and Auto are always there when you need...a quick fix of a damaged tire, a ride home in an emergency, replacing items needed, making sure your vehicle is properly prepared for any upcoming trips, listening to your priorities, explaining what needs to be repaired, and taking care of you and your vehicle. The guys are great and we always feel good driving away.

Ross S

Great job, did what I needed. Informed me of all my car's needs but put no pressure to buy more. Updated me regularly with photos of their progress I absolutely loved this and saved me two hundred dollars on my repair by avoiding unnecessary work. I'll be back when I am ready to do the rest. So happy to have my truck back.

Richard Andler

Once again they got right onto my issue, were fair and knowledgable and made my auto shop experience positive in every way. These people are THE ones to entrust your car to.

Josh Hill

My wife and I dropped off my car this Saturday afternoon for a seasonal tire changeover. Yeah, I know it's August and very late to finally be swapping my winter tires over to my all-seasons... but better late than never I guess. Anyway, the swap over( along with a very thorough vehicle/brakes/fluids/safety inspection) was done in a few hours. The inspection report is awesome and details anything and everything that may need attention with your vehicle. They even supply actual pictures of the parts/fluids they inspect that clearly show the condition of each component and tell you if it needs attention or if it's in "good" condition. Those are very helpful and let you decide the priority of any future services coming up. I would like to give a special shout out to one of their service advisors, John C. He went above and beyond on his quantity and quality of customer service. In a series of unfortunate events, we missed calling in payment before they closed and , per their policy, weren't going to be able to get our car back until Monday AM. Needless to say, it was a nightmare situation. Luckily, John was there to save us! He was just locking up the shop for the night( a good 45 minutes after they had officially closed) when we flagged him down in the parking lot from across the street. He graciously waited for us and allowed us to pay in order to be able to get out vehicle back instead of having to wait until Monday( remember, this was Saturday evening). He had to unlock the front door and then boot their computer system back up just for us to be able to settle up with them. John saved the day and that's why we will be going back to Point S for any future tires and/or services that we need done on our vehicles. All in all, their vehicle service was good... but their customer service was OUTSTANDING.

Bouba

This was my first time coming in here and the service was extraordinary. Warm and nice people, great service with a very affordable price. They will take care of you

Brian Mac

Had a tire that had leak on the side wall. I knew that I would be looking at full replacement of all tires. Downside was that it happened in Portland, away from I would normally take our cars for tires. I looked up close tire shop and found Sandy Blvd Tire. Went in told them what I needed, they gave me a couple of choices that were in stock. We went ahead and put 4 new tires on the car, I found them to be very reasonable in cost, and friendly in service. Not only did they change out tire, but gave me a full review of what services I might need in the future. No pushy - you have to get it done. I thought that was a nice touch. I would recommend them for your service needs.

Faith Sherrill

These guys can be trusted to do a great job! The service and staff are outstanding. We appreciate that with each repair the cost precedes the work. We’ll continue to trust SBT&A with our vehicles. Thanks, Brandon & Brett!

Eugenio Perez

Good customer service

Clint B

One star for poor customer service and attitude. I'm sure everything else was good here, but I never had a chance to find out. The guy working the front desk couldn't even bother to check the size of my tires on my car. I just drove off.

Daniel Lewis

Also called Point S. Honestly, they are very nice people and took care of my problem right away. But what disappointed me is that the pricing for parts is double what I could find online as the highest price for the part. When I called and asked why their price for parts is so high I was told it's because online retailers can buy large amounts of the same part and get discounts and they don't warrant the fix for two years. I'm sorry, the part has its own warranty from the manufacturer and most online retailers don't buy large amounts of the part because they are small businesses and large retailers have the manufacturer ship directly to the customer. Even if his statement was true, the parts should not be double the highest retail price, maybe 10 to 20 percent more. I won't be taking my business here anymore.

Kurt McClellan

Once again, Brett, James and the team exceeded expectations! Brought my car in for a noisy front brake issue and a few other small repairs (oil change, etc..). They warrantied a brake part, didn't charge labor for replacing it and replaced a front light at no cost, too. I never feel nickle and dimed and always feel they work hard to provide excellent value and service. This level of trust in a car repair shop is tough to find. I can't imagine ever taking my cars elsewhere for repairs.

Matthew Krueger

Point S has provided me great service over the past few years. Although this last appointment where I came in for a check engine light on my ‘14 Cadi ATS was a long fix, they stuck with me and saw it though until everything was handled (fuel pump, oil change, control module and an entire reprogramming later). I appreciate that even if I had to take the vehicle back in a few times. Great shop.

Stacy Coonfield

I've had several excellent experiences at Sandy Blvd Tire & Auto in the last year, so glad I switched to them for service and tires. They have a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. They also have always gotten me in and out in a timely manner. Highly recommend them.

Jon O

Great staff and they take of our fleet work well.

Buddy Ziehe

Having a bad day I ruined a tire on a curb. Having nearly new tires I could not justify a new set but having a recently discontinued tread my bad day was getting worse. Brett, Jason and the guys here were great. They did not give up and Brett found a couple tires left in a warehouse. I had to wait a day but they understood I was taking time off work to get this done and got me back on the road fast and a fair price. Thank you guys I’ll be back for more great service.

Pat Hatten

Consistently good service, done in a timely and ethical fashion. Nuff said.
