Great customer service and friendly staff. I have been here twice and while both times I was in for something minor, their professionalism was great. The first time I went in I needed a flat tire removed from my spare rim. They didn't charge me a dime and worked it in in between their other scheduled work. The second time was for switching out TPMS sensors from one set of wheels to another. They had a very clever and quick process to do this work and only charged me $10/wheel to do it. They had time in their schedule to work it in on short notice, didn't try to up-sell me to new sensors, and got finished with the work within 45 minutes when 2 hours was expected. Another shop I called said they needed the vehicles for 2 days, didn't have any availability for over a week, and wanted to charge me 4x as much.....I like Jim Bacon's Tire Pros and you will too.

EDIT: after complaining on social media, I was quickly given an apology and refund and honestly now I feel like a jerk. Shoulda said something while I was there I guess. I wouldn't give you jerks a star if I had the option. I went in for their half off oil change deal and it worked out once before but this time was stupid. They had my name and car on file so they should have known what oil I needed when I called to make the appointment. When I Bri g my car in they remove the old oil and wait an hour to tell me that not only do they not have the new oil but it also wasn't a part of the half price deal (even though it had been before) and wanted to charge me over twice as much as I would be charged at another store. They knocked of 50 dollars because they messed up but it was still more than 20 dollars more than other places. I sat there for an hour and a half and would have raised hell had they not made me late for a work meeting.

I recently decided to give Jim Bacon's Tire Pro's a shot. I came in wanting Tires, TP Sensors and Rear Brakes. I knew I needed brakes but was told my brakes were fine by the service advisor. I questioned him and was told yet again that my brakes were fine. I then explained that I have to tow a 28ft trailer this summer and was concerned with the brakes and that they were stating they were fine. I knew there was issues as it would shudder while applying the brakes and I would hear a metal grinding noise from the rear when backing up. The service advisor once again assured me they were fine. So I gave them the OK to move forward with the tires and TP sensors. Shortly after I get a call from who I assume in the owner as he claimed to be Jim Bacon. He proceeded to explain to me that I did in fact need brakes and it would be $1600.00 for the brakes. He claimed $1200 of it was for parts alone. In the shell shock I declined as 5 minutes ago my brakes were fine and now I need to spend $1600.00 on top of the $1500 I already committed for my Tires and TP Sensors. Later in the day I get a call stating my vehicle is ready to be picked up but that there was a problem. They told me they couldn't preform the alignment. They claimed everything was so rusted that they would have to cut bolts and it would be a whole bunch of work. I asked how far my alignment was off and they couldn't give me an answer. I then proceeded to pick my vehicle up. I was then told that they didn't do the windshield wipers either that they didn't have them in stock. I found that to be odd as they didn't have my tires in stock but yet they were able to obtain them the same day. Moving forward I paid for my services using one of their finance options. I was told I had to pay $15 cash down which I did only to find out that they didn't credit my account for the $15. The amount i financed was the full amount. So I at this point I figured $15 isn't worth getting into it with them over. Fast forward to present. Time to get the brakes done. I decided $1600.00 was to rich for my blood for I would do them myself. I purchased the entire brake package. 4 new rotors, 4 new calipers, and the brake pads all for $360.00 from elsewhere. That's a far stretch from the $1200.00 I was told the parts cost. So not only did I buy the parts but the parts I bought are Premium, the kind that has the vent holes in the rotors for better cooling when pulling a heavy load. The new calipers are all powder coated to keep them looking good for years. Upon removing the front tires I found the lug nuts were just a smidgen tighter then hand tight. Torque is supposed to be 83 ftlbs These were not even close. As I continued forward I removed on of the front wheels. I saw something odd. A strap in which was wrapped around the upper control arm. It appears that it had been there for some time. Not something that I drove over and it bounced up there but rather something someone put there. I question why wasn't this removed when they did the tires? Why wasn't it mentioned? Now one might say that if any of these issues were just a single incident then I could look past it, but this all happened in one visit and it was the first and last visit. I am concerned with those that just don't know any better. 400% mark up on parts? are you serious? And I had to convince them that yes in fact there was an issue? And they didn't fully perform the services I was changed for as they didn't do the alignment but they sure did charge me the full price they quoted me. And lets not forget the $15 I was asked to pay in cash?? I guess I bought a couple beers for someone that night. Oh and lets talk about the rust. Yes I located some rust. But not on the bolts they claimed were so bad they would have to cut them off to do the alignment. I will never do business with them again and I hope others watch what goes on when they bring their vehicle in to be service by Jim Bacon's Tire Pros

I called at 11am and asked if they had auto socks in stock for my car. They said they had "plenty" so I came in at 130 to be told that the 1 pair they had in stock were on hold and that I could order them from amazon instead. I've had good experiences here in the past but this lost them my business.

jeff cooke

Always do a great job. Fast and professional. My repair ended up costing me less than they expected, that was a nice surprise. I'll go back next time a need work done. Thank you!

I stopped into the shop today to get a hole plugged from a nail in the tire. The staff was friendly, got right to the repair, offered to swap the wheel back on for me to replace the spare, and sent me on my way free of charge! My wife and I have been here in the past for tires and brake work, but never with this car. We'll definitely be coming back next time we need tires. Thanks for making this snowy Monday special!

Manic Esoteric

Had flat tire 5' from their property line and sales manager refused to even look at the tireon my car. I just recovered from 2 operations one being a hernia.I will never recommend this company to even my worst enemy

Ned K

Big MISTAKE for not going to LES SCHWAB. I brought my baby old scool Bmw m3 to have 2 tires installed. After installation I went back to the shop and told them that I felt vibration on my steering wheel. I specifically told them not to test drive my car , just check the wheel fitting . It's super low milege car and I don't need some kid driving it . They ignored my request and one of the kids here took it for a joy ride for 30 min!!????. I was standing outside waiting for my car and this kid was driving it fast of the light . When he finally arrived I asked him where he drove my car to and the kid got mad at me and slammed my door so hard right in front of the manager. After spending 600$ for tires this is what I get . I will never go to this place to get anything done on my car . I regret for not going to Les Schwab , they would never treat a paying customer like this . Especially slam my cars door. If I could give this place negative 5 star I would.

They have steady flow despite the negative reviews because of busy location ONLY. If you are in for basic work, they hit you with nonstop upsales on work you dont need. Just dont shy to tell them NO, NO, NO and NO again. And if you like your wheels scratched go there for sure.

Terry Watson

Hi guys, Terry here with PDX Rovers. Just wanted to thank you again for taking such good care of our clients every time we send them your way. You have hooked us up consistantly with high quality tires for great prices. And I thank you for the great work you do. Kind regards, Terry.

I lived in SW Portland for seven years and this was my go-to place for tires, suspension, alignment work, etc. I have never, not a single time, walked away from this store feeling anything less than 100% satisfied. Each and every time I'm quite certain that these folks have spent longer working on my cars than they've billed me for (I had a few "complicated" issues). Super professional and competent. I now live in Hillsboro and will definitely go out of my way to visit them for my needs. My last encounter was over a tire vibration issue on a brand new car that the dealership completely dropped the ball on and made it seem like it was a "normal" issue and/or my imagination. Within 20 minutes Jim Bacon's Tire Factory had given me my keys back and told me the tires were defective. They handled the warranty claim and exchanged my tires without a single issue. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough. It's a gem.

Sarah S

I had a fantastic experience. In between jobs, I ended up with a flat tire that I needed repaired asap to get back to work on time. I called 3 shops and everyone had a 1.5 hr wait time. I called Jim Bacons Tire and the told me to come on by and despite being busy werw able to repair my flat at no charge. Now that's good service!! Diego helped me and was very efficient, he did an excellent job. Thank you to everyone at this shop! I'll be a returning customer :)

Sarah Becker

I called them for a tire repair to see if they would fix my tire for free. They said they would, and to bring it in. When I got there they were pretty busy so I had to wait awhile..that was fine, but when I asked how it was going and the girl up front said she would go see. She came back saying "they could not fix the tire because there was not enough tread on it " I knew this was not the case, and they were trying to pull a fast one on me because I am older, and I am sure they thought they could make me believe I needed a new tire. I told them to give me my car back(Blazer) and immediately called the place I had just recently gotten the used tires from. They said to bring it in, and they would see what they thought. The only reason I didn't take it to them first is they usually do not fix used tires for free, and I didn't have the money to pay them for it, and because I had moved farther away from where they are and didn't want to use the gas to get there. I did take it to them (Aloha Used Tires) and Mark said that they lied to me at Jim Bacon's Tire Factory...there was plenty of tread on the tire, and he(Mark) even took the time to show me how to tell for myself that the tire had enough tread. I would NEVER go back to Jim Bacon's Tire factory for any reason, If they will lie about my tire not having enough tread what else might they lie about just to get more money from you......

Melissa Williams

Excellent service, timely repairs, trustworthy!

Great tires. Super deal on my rv and pickup tires. Definately recommend.

Benjamin Preston

Not impressed with their service or friendliness, but they were half the price of les Schwab to mount some tires on rims. So thank you!

Carol P.

We were visiting the Portland area and needed an oil change. Jim Bacon's Tire Factory was recommended so we made an appointment. The service was excellent. The girl at the counter even pointed out a possible problem with one of our tires that the service representative noticed during the oil change. She did not try to sell us a tire, she just wanted to inform us of a potential problem with our tire. The personnel at the store were very friendly and professional. If we lived in the area, we would use Jim Bacon's Tire Factory for our auto needs.

John Clancy

Great service. They give a military discount for auto services.

Love this place!! No one is trying to sell you somthing you don't need! Awesome staff! I had a hole in my tire and the dealership wanted to charge me a tun of $ for a new one. Bacon's patched it for me and it's been going strong for months!!

Dee Hickman

This place is LGBTQIA friendly :) I had a flat tire, Less Schwab made me wait 1.5 hours and then refused to even look at my car, this place fixed my tire in about 20 minutes.

Thomas Barnes

What kind of customer service provider closes all day on Sunday and doesn't have hours of operation after 6pm on any day? This means most people who work a normal 9-5 job have a slim window for Jim Bacon to honor a warranty issue. On the flip side they match add prices, although when I went there to get my tires they were too busy to do the free tire alignment check that comes with the purchase of a set of tires. I guess that's not totally true, I could have waited there another 3hrs.

Kevin Canoy

No issues

Chris Kuhn

Found this golden nugget of tire heaven. Stopped in with a flat tire. I suspected my car was out of alignment. I was able to get flat repaired at no cost and a great deal on the alignment. The waiting room was stocked with ice cold water and tasty popcorn. The staff was very friendly, best of all the time estimate was accurate. I most definitly recommend this to anyone looking for a pro tire experience.

It was my first time going here and I will be back. It was the first time I have ever heard "sorry it is taking so long, I am looking for the cheapest distibutor". That kind of customer service is something you don't hear a lot these days. I have already recommended them to a friend. They're great!

I have always went to this tire shop and raved to everyone about it until today. I called and asked to mount and balance 4 Brand New Tires. The OUT OF THIS WORLD price I was quoted of $150 still has me questioning WHY so much!?

I was planning on bringing my services to Jim Bacon's for a new set of tires, however, it seems that ll the bad reviews hold a lot of grimey truth in this company. Rude staff, Shady quotes, and dishonesty. I would recommend you save your pockets and peace of mind by taking your business elsewhere.

curtis rutschman

Went here after dealing with another shop that wouldn't listen to me about my car. The previous place took over a month to fix my car and just reset my computer. Upon taking my car to Jim Bacon they told me up front what would be best to start and then called with a cost of repairs. They listened to my concerns and completed what I wanted as well as found other things that the previous mechanic didn't do. Car is now running great like it should've from the start. Can't recommend Jim Bacon enough. These guys are very good at what they do. Highly recommended.

Recently had a tire go flat after a dealership appointment where they left the valve core loose. After two hours of runaround from others, I called Jim Bacon's. Jenny immediately offered support and solutions. She sent a technician to my location with some tools to help me put a spare tire on my vehicle. He was quick, efficient, and professional. When we returned to the store, they replaced all four tires - which only took about 30 minutes. The team stayed a little past closing to complete the job so I wouldn't have to come back another day. After the awful experience with the dealer, I ended up coming home on a positive note and singing the praises of this location and staff. THANK YOU so much! Seriously stellar customer service at totally reasonable prices.

Had a good sized screw stuck in my tire. I dropped it off and they had it fixed and ready in about an hour. I stopped by and they swapped the spare for the repaired tire in 10 minutes.

I wish I could give 0 stars because this shop is the worst. They charged me for work that was never done. Jenny is a crook as well as Jimmy Bacon. The owner doesn't care how they treat their customers. Don't waste your time there, you will just get ripped off like I did. Look at all the reviews on yelp. They have tons of unhappy customers. Trust me, go to Les Schwab! UPDATE. First of all, who ever wrote the comment responding to my post, obviously wasn't there to witness what happened. You state your shop never encountered this situation before? That's B.S.! Look at all your bad reviews!Jimmy is very deceitful! I did agree to the $1500.00 quote that I was given but that was for brakes on my whole car, Not just the front. My car was on a lift with all the whees off and three people said I need brakes and rotors on the front and rear. The $400.00 I wanted reimbursed is more than fair for a rear brake job on my Porsche that wasn't performed. If I new you were only doing to do the front brakes with a $1,500.00 quote, I never would have agreed to the work. That would be over $500.00 more than the several shops I've received quotes from.WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE ME A WRITTEN QUOTE LIKE EVERY SHOP DOES?? Instead it was a verbal one and I trusted you. My big mistake! The owner was called and he didn't even care about how a customer.is treated He said charge him the full $1500.00 As far leaving without paying, I was being threatened by your staff and I was the one who said call the police. The officer that called me said its a felony to not pay so he suggested that I just pay the full amount and take you to small claims court. So that's the only reason why I paid your shady shop the full amount and it has has nothing to do what you told the police.I'm sure you lied to them like you did to me. You act like your innocent! Again I ask, WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE ME A WRITTEN QUOTE TO LOOK AT INSTEAD OF A VERBAL QUOTE !!! 2nd Response. My statements are NOT slanderous and false. They are 100% true and accurate! Your reply states it's from the owner and you were there to witness?? That's a complete lie! Your employee called you on the phone and you told them to charge me the full 1,500.00 for work that was never performed. It looks like the lies and deception starts with the owner and trickles down. You can try to cover up all you want and try to act like your shop did nothing wrong but you don't have an answer to the most important part of this. WHY DIDN'T THE SHOP GIVE ME A WRITTEN QUOTE ON THE WORK THAT WAS GOING TO BE DONE??? I should of demanded it,but I trusted you guys and look what happened. I got screwed.I WILL see you in small claims court!! BTW this isn't the first time you tried to screw me. I originally came in to see what you would charge me to put lowering spring on my Porsche.I was quoted between 500-700 from other shops.Jimmy Bacon quoted me $1,600.00 just to install springs that I'M supplying. After making him realize he's ripping me off, he stepped away for 10 minutes, came back and said he made a mistake and he can do it for $910.00. You guys are a bunch on con artists! Plain and simple!! I'll see you in court!

Got a Super Saver Card to test out the services here. I had an oil change done on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee about two months ago that leaked all over my starter, causing it to go out just the other day. I brought the issue to the attention of the manager, Jennifer, who told me that I would have to pay to have my vehicle towed back to their shop (10 miles) so they could confirm, with no guarantee that they would replace the part. Jennifer would not accept photo evidence when I expressed unease at footing the tow up front and hung up on me. Never going back here again. STAY AWAY -- THEY CAN'T EVEN GET AN OIL CHANGE DONE RIGHT.

Ryan Wiencken

I got a good deal on tires, but always a 1.5 hour wait to have them put on or rotated. Just drop the car off if you can.

Scott Harrison

I’ve been here twice and neither time really got a friendly welcome, which is fine because I’d rather have a sincere “what do you want” attitude over a fake “Hi, how can I help you today”; as long as the work on my car is solid and competitive pricing (which it is). The only reason I’m marking down one star is because I’d expect a tire store to reset a low tire pressure indicator on the dash board. It was simple enough for me to RTFM, but it didn’t feel like a full service worthy of five stars.

Maria Pia Seirup

This shop helped us resolve a thorny issue with an older vehicle. We appreciated their patience and perseverance. They went over and beyond what we expected to get the car on the road again.

David Boe

Nice people, excellent service!

On two occasions I've had a flat tire and Travis has come to the rescue. Travis and his service team are always ready to help and have gone out of their way to get me taken care of. Thanks guys for the great service!

Sian Medway

Do not believe any bad reviews here. This is a family business and the owners are the most genuine and honest people you will ever meet. They go above and beyond. The owner has also collected me from home after a miscommunication. It must be exhausting having to deal with people, when they are having a bad day. And life does that once too often. And usually it's our own fault letting things slip and leaving things to the last minute. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else! They want you to be as safe as possible out there in this crazy world and will not sell you anything that you do not need.

Erica Jemison-Baltazar

Helpful, professional, and they didn't overcharge me. Would definitely recommend them.

patrick pugh

The crew here works hard to get you in and out fast. I popped in to make an alignment appointment after getting in an argument with a curb, expecting a couple days as it was around three pm, however a pleasant surprise awaited me when (Jimmy?) Told me they could get me in and out within about an hour. The alignment was still true, and they only charged me for a check. 10/10 will come back.

I just got some amazing/incredible/fantastic service at Jim Bacon's. Also love the new Nexgen tires on my '69 VW Squareback. Looks and drives great. One note, the fatter profile makes it so the "spare" won't go in the "spot". Still fits in the front trunk, so whatever. Just FYI.

Andrew Stawicki

Honestly this place is awesome, came in for an alignment and they give me just that, said it would take 45 minutes, and guess what that's what happened. Felt respect from the moment I walked in. I appreciate it and will be back

I just love these guys. We go here year after year to change our summer to winter tires. And we have purchased a number of sets of tires from them. For about 10 years, we have been using Jim Bacon's and I much prefer them to the guys up the street. Now Jimmy knows who I am and I can trust, I'll get good service. I am surprised by the negative reviews. If you are sure the person helping you is serving you well, ask for somebody else. I so appreciate having a goto place for my tire needs!

The Store Manager was TERRRIBE. I had a not-so-great sales experience... not the end of the world but not fantastic and simply wanted to share some constructive feedback. I wasn't even asking for a remedy, all I wanted to do was share my feedback. Constructive feedback? Not this lady! The manager was extremely defensive and did not listen to anything I was saying nor did she even try to understand what I had to say. At one point in the discussion she said she knew what I was saying (despite not listening) so I asked her to explain her understanding of my complaint. She didn't even come close. The woman was far too defensive and emotional to hear anything. It was impossible to communicate with her! Talk about someone who doesn't understand the slightest about customer service or relationship management. Funny. The technician from the shop overheard my discussion with manager and he was far better at listening and customer service that she was. I sincerely got the impression that they would be better off to make that technician the manager. Too bad the true manager is so lousy. Even more funny? That manager's poor disposition just lost them another customer... and I was planning on getting about $1200 worth of shocks done there, as well as buying another set of top-end tires when they were due. All she had to do was listen to understand and provide a simple apology. It would not have cost her a dime, but instead she turned a not-great experience into a terrible experience and lost all future business from me. I hope she is happy. I won't be going back.

Honestly I was very disappointed comma I've been coming here since I was eleven bringing in over 6 vehicles and I'm used to the great service that was there. I brought my vehicle in to change its belts the price was 143 including labor... I was watching my car being done and right away they said that the belts will need to be just tightened, so that was some good news a job that should take 35 min took over an hour mechanic was going very slow and they charged me $102 just to tighten three belts i know it shouldn't take as long as they did because ive done them but it was to cold and didn't have time . In the past I brought my vehicles there and if my cars didn't need anything they would charge 20 to 40bucks or nothing. I'm sad to say they lost not only my vehicle but my all 12 of my familys vehicles.

I am very pleased with Jim Bacon’s Tire Pros. I went to their website and requested a quote for new tires, balancing, alignment and the installation of new rotors and break pads (that I purchased online, not from them). They got me a quote back within 24 hours and had my 2013 Shelby GT500 in the shop soon after. I was told it would take 5-6 hours and it was ready for me in 4. Friendly and quick service!! I will be bringing all my cars here for tires and breaks in the future. I am one happy customer!

Awesome service. Pulled a nail and plugged the tire on my wife's car in about 10 minutes.

Within the last year I have purchased two full sets of tires from Jim Bacon's Tire Pros, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the ease of the purchases, customer service, price and quality. Jenny and her team have provided me with straight-forward advice and recommendations while offering options that are sound and reasonable. I have recommended them to others who have since taken their business to Jim Bacon's Tire Pros as well. That said, Jenny totally earned my sincere gratitude and loyalty when my daughter who attends college in southern California, experienced a problem with one of the tires we purchased just last August. It was April 15th - the busiest day of the year for tire shops in our area, removing snow tires - and my daughter had a flat. The Tire Pros shop in her area did not have the same tire and offered to sell her a similar tire. I phoned Jenny, who looked up my records and advised the tire is under a full warranty and recommended against putting on a different tire and explained the reasoning to me. She then offered to special order the proper tire and have it shipped to the Tire Pros location in California. She even telephoned that Tire Pros shop and discussed the issue with them and what course of action she was taking to ensure we didn't have to pay even a single dollar as it was all covered under warranty. She coordinated every step, followed-up with me via text and phone, keeping me and my daughter informed each step of the way. I cannot express enough how impressed I have been with the level of professionalism and customer service Jenny has extended to me. She made what could have been a stress-inducing situation a total non-issue. I will be purchasing all of our tires and will continue to recommend them every time the opportunity presents. I will also be transitioning some of my automotive repair needs to them as well. Honesty, quality, fairness and excellent customer service - that's my experience with Jim Bacon's Tire Pros.

Travis Schweiger came in to my place of work .I mentioned my daughter needed new tires. He was very nice. Travis gave me his bussines card, he told me to come to Jim Bacons Tire Pros. I am impressed with Travis and how much he cares about his job. I will be buying my tires at Tire pros. Thank you Travis.

Friendly staff provides expert advice. No pressure to purchase, rather a discussion on how much longer your tires will last and options when new are needed. Technicians are careful and pay attention to detail. Great experience.

When I called to see if they had the used tire I needed the guy I spoke with looked it up and said that they had a ton of them and we even discussed a few different options as far as highway vs. mountain vs. mud. He then asked me how many I needed and I told him that I only needed one tire..... then he put me on hold then someone else came onto the phone and was rather brash and told me that they didn't have ANY of my size of tire in stock, then said SORRY then hung up on me!!!! I called back, was put on hold for over 5 minutes, then gave up. I understand that they must have been busy, but it seemed to me that they were too busy to take on a customer whose sale was only going to be for 1 tire!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I may only need 1 tire now, but that doesn't mean that I won't have the funds for 3 next time or have friends who can afford a full set of 4 for Christmas. I'll NEVER give them my business and make sure If anyone ever asks me for a tire shop in the area to let them know about my experience.

This whole team was so helpful! I had to replace all my tires & brakes, so they worked with me & offered competitive prices with quality work! I bought used tires from them and ended up getting not only great brand tires but ones with 90% tread left!

I had been to numerous parts stores in search of a much needed part. I was referred to Jim Bacon's and so grateful I was ! My part was in stock and exact size. A quote for repairs I was told needed to be done , were actually unnecessary. My car is fine. Happy me ! A huge thank you to all 4 employees I met today. Your help and kindness meant so much. I highly recommend them ! Thank you again.

On 11/6/17, I called to make an appointment for an alignment and was told I should come in now, since there was no waiting. I checked in 10 minutes later, and my car was not touched for 45 minutes. Then, I was told that they couldn't possibly do an alignment because I needed a full set of tires and an entire suspension replacement, totalling over $1800. This contradicted reports from our regular mechanic's shop, but, to my later regret, I bought the tires anyway (not the suspension work). All in all, I was sat in the waiting room for about three hours. Today, I visited my regular mechanic and was told that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any part of the suspension. Now, I'm second guessing that my tires were even in need of replacement. At no time was I shown a damaged tire. I will never visit this shop again. **EDIT** I added a star to my original rating because I went back to the shop for a second look. They admitted they were wrong about the suspension and issued some refund for the inconvenience. It's still a strange situation to come away from, so I would agree that they are a fine tire store, but buyer beware on additional repairs.

Fair prices. Great staff.

Jim Bacon’s can get you in almost any time you need them to perform service. I have had two sets of tires, they provide the first year of road hazard FREE on many tires (maybe all!). I trust their service and know they back their work fully. BONUS FOR JIM BACON TIRES: The dealership where I bought my car had NOT properly placed my oil cap on after an oil service, which caused multiple check engine error codes to trigger, and my check engine light came on, plus I had performance issues from the dealership mistake. Jim Bacon’s found the issue and corrected it for me, building even more confidence in what they do when I take my car. They will even check your car maintenance schedule and advise of work needed. EDITED REVIEW - I MOVED THE REVIEWS OF SNAP FINANCE TO THEIR OWN PAGE AS THEY DO NOT PERTAIN TO JIM BACON’S SERVICE.

Horrible experience - 2 bad repairs in a row, not fully fixed or fixed poorly, and given an outrageous estimate to fix the car more. I think this shop is a mix of incompetent and cheats. If you're getting something simple done and like their price it may be ok, but for a real repair job you're taking a risk. Their mechanics may not know what they're doing but will swear to the sky that they're right. And they can get really expensive quickly if you want decent parts and the job done correctly. 1st repair: I needed new struts for a 1997 Lexus ES-300 - the car bounced too much going over bumps and made a clunking sound. They had a lifetime warranty on some for a good price, so I had them do the job. After the work the car took the bumps barely better, and the clunking sound was still there. I went to a Toyota shop and they said I needed to also have had the mounts replaced. So I went back to Bacon's and they said they'd do it for another $450, but didn't believe I needed them. The cost would have been ~$200 if they'd done the mounts at the same time as the struts. So I went on a test drive with a mechanic - he heard the clunking, and the car still bounced too much on speed bumps. He said I had an old car and old cars make sounds. He said he could replace part after part and maybe still never fix the problem. I also later found out these Monroe struts were low in the Monroe line (cheap) and that added to them not working well on my car. So great - Bacon's had done a $900 strut job on my car, put on cheap struts, not replaced the mounts, and told me everything was fine when I went back - but they would replace what I wanted for twice what the Lexus dealer would have charged me! 2nd job: when they did the struts, they inspected the brakes and said I needed new front brakes - and showed me their measurement. So I had them do the job - replacing pads and machining rotors. Now, 3 years and 25,000 mi later, I need a complete new front end brake job. This is the minimum time a brake job should last. I'm guessing again they used cheap parts. - Take your car there at your own risk - I'll never go back!!

They have been nothing but amazing and helpful! I have a 2004 Lifted 4Runner and I am trying to find the right size for my new tires. Jennifer has been so helpful and patient with all of my constant questions. I am very happy to be working with them on this. Highly recommend this place for all of your needs!

Good place to get special tires like Finnish Nokian. When you get here, try to deal with Jenny Bacon. Others seem to be confused and disorganized, or just may enjoy chatting with you for extensive time about all kinds of automotive topics you may not care for too much.

Don M

Pulled a nail out of my tire and fixed it for nothing in about 10 minutes. Nice guys!

1. Ordered/installed tires same day. I have specialty tires (more like obsolete.) 2. Customer service was friendly, courteous and professional. 3. I received an after-care email thanking me for the business (when was the last time you had that?)

I have always been give A+++ service since day 1. I have taken my car to them for just about everything for the last 5 years. I trust them with my vehicle and so far I have not been disappointed.

Better prices here than others. What they don't have local comes quickly only 2 days only from Reno NV warehouse

After reading some of the reviews, I've decided to share my experience. The rating above is based on my last, literally, experience with them. I'd been going to Jim Bacon's for easily over 15 years and was always pretty happy with them. They're very nice people and seemingly did a good job. Last year, one of their mechanics diagnosed a leak in my car where, long story short, there was no leak, which I learned from another mechanic (second opinion) who put my car on the rack and showed me. The amount I'd been quoted to repair this leak was astronomical. In fact, it was but one of several items for repair they came up with, each of which had repair/labor charges that were just crazy sky-high. I've not gone back because, frankly, I'm wondering how many other times I might have been bamboozled. That experience, and the non-responsive "it's not my job" kind of answer and attitude I got from the front office personnel just made me really angry. I never went back, and don't think I will, which bums me out because I liked them. But now I don't trust them because they rely on someone who in my opinion appears to be less than forthcoming.

I have been going to Jim Bacon's Tire Pros, formerly Tire Factory, for years. They have always provided Superior customer service, prices and help. Their technicians talk straight, and their business practices are what you would want to look for in the company.

Several months ago, on our way to a Saturday dinner date with friends, our car started losing air in one of the tires very quickly. As we limped into Jim Bacon's Tire Factory about 10 minutes before closing, we were told that they could fix it on Monday! Wow! We had them fill the tire with air and went a few blocks down the road to Les Schwab, who even though it was closing, took our car in, fixed the tire and we were on our way to our dinner date. LES SCHWAB TREATS YOU RIGHT AND HAS OUR BUSINESS!

Steve Becker

Very knowledgeable employees. Experts in tires and mechanical issues. Priced very competitively.

Saw this place and stopped here before getting to Les Schwab for new tires before my lease expiration. Got a matched set of used tires for a solid deal deal. Really friendly and helpful staff, no sales bologna at all.

Don't go here. I tried them despite the negative reviews & they lived up to their reputation. When I arrived, the girl that was helping me couldn't quote me an exact price, even though I gave her the details of my SUV. She told me it would be about 45 minutes to an hour to get my tires changed over to my snow tires. I left my car, went to dinner, and came back an hour and a half later. When I returned they still hadn't even touched my car and it was still sitting in the same place I left it. She told me it would be another 45 minutes to an hour for my car to be done.

This is the only place I go that I don't feel ripped off. Very nice service, won't go anywhere else!

Bad service.

Terrible place to get your car worked on. They wanted to charge me over $2,000.00. I spent under $200.00.
