I am very impressed. I had to get a couple tires online because my car has an odd size and I was unable to find studded tires locally, or in Vanc/PDX for that matter. All I had them do was mount and balance my new tires. After that I ran a couple more errands and then drove 30+ miles home. Later that night I discovered one of my new tires was flat. My wife called the next morning and, as far as I'm concerned, they went way out of their way to help us. I don't have many tools, and don't have what I need to change the tire at my house. They were able to help get me rolling again safely. Thank you guys and I will be back for my next set of tires.

This place is excellent. They did my snow tires in three hours during a snow storm . Totally amazing service and fair prices. Love my snow tires. Really grateful that they didn't try to gouge me during a high demand day. I recommend it to everyone.

I am very disappointed in the customer service I received at Gills Point S Tire today. Yes, it was busy, with phones ringing, and people urgently trying to get in, but that is no excuse for poor customer service and rude behavior from the mechanic. While I appreciate being fit in, I do not appreciate, nor will I tolerate, being disrespected. Gills needs to up their customer service game.

I reached a call center when I wanted to get an estimate for service. I also needed to leave my car before they opened and asked the scheduler if thet had a key drop. They said they didn't, but I could "probably leave the key under the floor mat". I made an appointment thinking I could call the local shop and talk to a real person beforehand to get an estimate and confirm where to leave the key (I would have preferred to not leave my car unlocked for two hours until they opened). Despite many, many attempts, I could not reach anyone by phone at the local shop, nor did the call center pick up my calls (or return my phone messages). The experience made me want to cancel my appointment, but since I couldn't reach a real person, I didn't want to be irresponsible, so I went ahead and left my car. When I picked it up, I informed the assistant manager what had happened, and he said that "they were too busy to answer the phone" and passed-on the blame by adding "the call center is supposed to cover unanswered calls". It sounds like they are too busy for my business. I am taking my future business back to Les Schwab, who treats customers with respect and knows the value of maintaining adequate staffing capacity.

Fantastic service! But........ PLEASE Turn down or reprogram that “Hankook” slide on your electric sign (maybe even white letters with a black background). PLEASE!!!!!!! IT’S BLINDING AT NIGHT FROM THE ROAD. They worked me in when everyone else was too busy! Good price and really nice people!!!!! My only wish is that they would turn off/down the lights and obnoxious signs at night! WAY TOO BRIGHT for Hood River. Please turn down your lights at night. It’s blinding from the road.

One of my tires was bulging (I don't know the proper term) and was about to give out. I called them up, they said come on in and they'll help me out. Upon getting there I discovered that I had wheels that were on my truck were not longer in production. They worked the problem and were able to get me a wheel and tire for about 70 bucks. The guy that did it was funny and welcoming. If I had a question he was happy to answer and was very knowledgeable. It's a pity that I was only passing through Hood River because I would really like service and prices like this in Ellensburg, WA

When I called about getting studded tires put on my truck I was quoted at a 3 hour wait time. A few days later when I came in after my order had arrived I was quoted a 5 hour wait time. That's fine. I understand they are busy with snow coming. After dropping off my vehicle I came back 5 and a half hours later. My vehicle was not even being worked on yet. The service member told me the time that I supposedly dropped my vehicle off which was over 2 hours past the actual time I dropped it off. Falsifying records is completely unacceptable. The service member tried to cover by saying that they were busy like my patronage of their company didn't matter. After almost 7 hours my vehicle was finally ready. I would not recommend Gills Point A Tire & Auto in Hood River. Their service was not adequate and I never received an apology for their falsification of records or the extra time I had to wait.

Point S has a new reservation system which worked very well! Others who did not have an appointment left their cars there for winter tire changeover for 5 hours! I was able to wait there for 45 minutes while the work was done. The reservation system is why I chose Point S instead of the other big local tire store!

My wife went there for tires a few months ago, and was impressed there was no hard sell to buy more than what she wanted. I turned up today a bit before they opened with a tire that wasn't holding air, expecting to be told that I needed new tires. They opened up the waiting room for me and fixed the tire in about 15 minutes. No paperwork, no charge. I'd never dealt with them before.
