I was in town for a volleyball tournament when my battery died on my Ford Expedition, and then the security system shut down my engine. It was already a stressful weekend in our family, but Last Resort Towing got me to Gills S where they assisted me until we could get my vehicle back running. Gills did not charge me a dime! Whether it be because they claimed it was an “easy fix” or because they took pity on an over stressed car owner. I do not live in the area, but I don’t hesitate on recommending Gills in Albany!

Old post: I have received 3 tires now that have completely come apart at the seems. receipts and photos of all... this most recent time my husband was on the freeway when it blew and could have been seriously injured (thank god my 3 year old was not in the car anymore).. they will not honor the warranty due to surface wear although this is catastrophic damage and should be taken care of by the people who sold us a bad TIRE!! I have photos and I will take this farther. this is dangerous to give people tires like this!! I have to do something.

Unexpectedly head to buy 2 new tires and figured I would be out at least $250. Was recommended here by another shop in Newport and I wasn't disappointed! I got 2 new tires installed & everything for $170 total. The wait time was short and the guys there were super nice & very helpful! Will be back next month for the other 2!

Wonderful service. They have such integrity in their work. They'll give you honest guidance as to work that needs done right away and work that can wait a little bit without harm. They understand life has budgets. Highly recommend them. We've been using them for 5 years on all our vehicles. They're quick and on time too. When they say ready by 3pm it's done by 3pm if not earlier. Really can't say enough about how great they are. I never have to worry about the quality of their work and as a woman I have never gotten talked down to or treated like an idiot who doesn't know an oil filter from an air filter. The manager Chris runs a great shop. Their point system can seriously save you some money too.

Great deals on tires. I went into the store and ordered the tires of my choosing a few days before install. I didn't set up an appointment for install. I walked in and in a little over an hour I walked out. They fit me in between other jobs. A+ service and knowledge. Easy to deal with. I recommend you make this your tire store.

Came in with an extremely flat tire that needed replaced. They quickly tested my tire within 5 minutes of my arrival and showed me the hole that the air was leaking out of. They found me a tire for $40 and changed it within 10 min. They have friendly customer service and I would recommended them to everyone.

The personal customer service is on point at this local tire service station. I appreciate their honesty when dealing with my tires. The perks are just pulling up and having a technician check my PSI and air up if needed or remove a screw. Just for mounting and balancing is a good deal compared to the other tire business’s around town.

I started out as a customer in 2014, I had an extremely low tire, they replaced the valve stem and sent me on my way no charge. Since then I have purchased tires for both of my vehicles. I work 50 plus hours a week and have little time, they have been gracious and found time to squeeze me in so that I could get oil changes on both vehicles just this past weekend. I highly recommend Gills Point S tire and Auto. Exceptional service, they care about their customers.

I started going to the Point S in Cottage Grove a few years back when I needed snow tires, and they were the first place that had one's that would fit my car and could mount them that day. After that experience I moved north and eventually reached the point where I needed new all season tires. As Les Schwab was closer, I went to them first. Even though I have had some difficulty with Les Schwab honoring their warranty in the past. I got a quote from Les Schwab for tires, but it seemed to be a bit on the high side. Then I called the Albany Point S. Not only was their price much lower than Les Schwab, but for nearly half the price I could get tires that were rated for almost twice as many miles. The customer service has always been fantastic- They have always given me what I asked for, without trying to talk me into other services that I don't need. They really seem to bend over backwards for their customers as well; One time I was having my oil changed and it turned out I had a tail light out. They didn't have any tail lights in stock right then, so one of their associates drove across town to get a tail light for my car while my oil was being changed. Now you might think that getting a tail light under such circumstances would be expensive, but this wasn't the case. Buying a tail light from them and having them put it in cost me a few dollars less than what it would be for me to get a tail light from Autozone. So at this point you might be wondering, if I have so much positive to say, why did I only give them four stars instead of five? The answer- Air conditioning. Their waiting area is perfectly suitable except it doesn't have any air conditioning. On hot summer days you end up roasting while waiting for your vehicle to be serviced. I enjoy a sit in the sauna as much as the next guy, but if I have an appointment after getting my tires rotated I don't want to show up soaked in sweat.

I ordered a set of truck tires and after I got them home I wasn't happy with the look, I called them and they ordered a new set in the next day and swapped them out for me and only charged me the difference in price between the tires. Absolutely horrible service! I had them install a leveling kit on a ford ranger which the alignment guy installed wrong (luckily I caught it before he was done) and my truck which used to drive straight no longer did afterwards. I took it back for them to re align another day and after being there almost two hours was returned my truck pulling hard to the passenger side than it did before and also a crooked wheel. I voiced my displeasure and stated I’ve setup 9 of these trucks this way and never had any issues and the alignment guy got a huge attitude and started snapping st me to call ford and telling me how many vehicles he’s aligned. Good way to lose a customer and get a small claims suit! Never again will I trust these guys with my vehicle that brings me income.

Fast service with a smile coupled with great prices for quality work is always a win in my book. I got brakes, a tire rotation, and a synthetic oil change across two trucks in one day in under 5 hours for under $500 bucks. Without an appointment. I also found out they're part of the American tire factory family so my tire warranty from Idaho is honored here. I'll be back for tires soon and they have a punch card program for oil changes so I'll keep doing those here to get free changes as a reward.
