I've had two experiences with them. 1) Tried to get them to press a bearing. The guy said he could do it but would break the ABS ring (a $135 part) in the process. This demonstrated a lack of understanding of how to press a wheel bearing. You don't have to break the ring to do it. A cheap 20 ton shop press would work. I did not have them press the bearing. 2) Got my alignment done. The noticed a bad upper control arm, which would be expensive. They called me with the quote which was nice. When I picked the car up they actually only had to replace a bushing, which was $150 cheaper! The horrible part was that I got my car back and my airbag light was on, cruise control broken, and horn broken. They broke the clockspring in my steering wheel doing the alignment. I don't know how you break that part doing an alignment.

Friendly, Affordable and Quick! I called many places for an estimate on two used tires. When I called Big O Tires, I was welcomed by a friendly voice. I explained that I just needed two used front tires for my ford taurus. He was still enthusiastic about helping me with my issue, despite how minimal his profit would be. Not only was he eager to help, but it was the cheapest rate in town! Today is a good day. I would recommend Big O Tires to anyone in search of a good deal. :)

Above the rest. During my financial hard times with recent medical bills I was running on bald tires. Knowing I couldn't get anything on credit at the time, and running out of placed to plug my tires, I decided off a whim to stop in to see if they could help me. I didn't tell them my situation. I just asked if they could show me some used tires at a reasonable price. Wow, the owner pulled one of the guys off the line to help me and found me a set of tire with great tread at a price that I could afford with in minutes. Honestly I would normally try to talk down the price, but the price was so good, I couldn't even consider it. I will forever be indebted for professional and great service and will return again to purchase new tires when I can.

My friend and I went in to Gilberts tire shop to get new tires on her Truck. After paying for the tires, we were told there is NO warrenty, that if wanted one it would be $39.99 a tire. The tires were $400 over what anyother tire shop would of been. The owners were extremely rude. They didn't know anything about the services they offer on their website. They are a rip off!

When you're a customer and you know more about how your car Works than the person doing the alignment and he tells you that it's at the maximum of adjustment when he doesn't even lay a wrench on it to find out and I'm right there telling him how to do it it's what I do I work on cars obviously they need someone who speaks English and can get the job done correctly.

Don’t come here if you’re looking for any hospitality or communication. A guy named Daniel “helped” me both times I came in and was completely rude and didn’t communicate anything with me on price or length of time of the service. I went in for an alignment and after asking I was told it would take 45 minutes to and hour and that they would call me when it was done. Hour and a half later no one called me so I went to the shop and I got there and my car was done but no one ever called me. The price ended up being 80 instead of 70 like I was expecting. They got the job done, my car alignment is still a little off, but lesson learned I’ll never go here again.

This place gave my in-laws the run around over charged them several times, fixed the problem more than 3 times diagnosed the wrong issue, then said there to picky now there car no longer works, the mechanics showed no concerns over the problem at hand, what ever happened to values and loyalty it's clearly overated.

The people at Gibert are amazing! After a long day of work I realized my tire was flat. I had brand-new tires on my car from big O tires in Roseburg Oregon. I wasn't able to find a big O tire in the Portland area so I call big O in Roseburg and they referred me to Midas so I went to Midas after work and they said they cannot help me there, because they were not affiliated with big O tire. They then referred me to Gilbert's and said that they were affiliated with big O tire. Well that wasn't the case apparently there is no big O tire in Oregon other than the one in Roseburg Oregon. The associate at Gilbert said he will still fix it for me. I asked him how much and he said he will do it for free. I was so thankful. After examining my tire the associate came in and told me that the tire is no repairable, due to the puncture being in the side of the tire versus the bottom of the tire. Immediately I asked him how much for a new tire. He then went on to state that he would give me a loaner tire. I was kind of confused, because I had never heard anything about a loaner tire before. He put on practical a brand new tire and put my old tire in my truck. He told me to take it down to Big O tire when I go down to Roseburg next and have them replace it and when I get a chance bring the other tire back. I was speechless the entire time he was talking to me, because I could believe how nice he was. He then gave me my keys and sent me on my way. I asked him if there was anything I could do to show my appreciation and he said just give me a review on yelp hahaha. I have never met someone so nice. On top of this tomorrow is my birthday! I will definitely be refer people his way and when I get my new rims I will be purchasing them there. Thank you so much!

I took my 1998 Tahoe to get a lift kit installed. I had called the Friday prior and told them I would be dropping my truck of the next week on Wednesday to get a lift and tires installed. I took it in on a Wednesday and was told it would be ready Friday. I brought them tires and wheels that I wanted on Thursday and was informed by David(how lacks customer service skills) that the lift wouldn't be installed until Tuesday because of shipping issues. I asked to pay ahead due to my work schedule and availability to pick it up and pay for it. He said it would be done the following Wednesday no worries. I said OK and calm the next Tuesday on it to make sure it was done. When I called another fella fat tell me me Tahoe won't be done till Friday due to the lift still not making it after I've already poo aid them for it. So Friday comes around (9 days after I initially dropped it off) they call and tell me irony be ready till Saturday. I told them will be getting my truck back today so finish it now! When I got home they lost one of my new lug nuts for my new rims which I had to go back to have put on. They also lost 8, yes 8 of my old lug nuts off my older wheels test I wanted for my other truck. They are slow, loose your parts, don't call you to keep you informed, they didn't set my truck up the way I wanted, and customer service sucks. I went to Les Schwab ( we're I bought my wheels and tires) and they fixed it all. They are cheaper than Les Schwab but you get what you pay for. They will never touch my trucks ever again. Pay for thecservice and quality you want

It's a local tire shop that does a great job. I have found that their labor is reasonably priced and service decent. The actual tires and/or wheels are similarly priced to those of competitors if not a little less, but I like Gilbert's because it is locally owned and customer service is directly handled by the owner.

Customer service at its WORST! After buying $2200.00 in new tires, from the Owners of Gilberts Tire Shop David and his brother, they offered NO free install, NO warranty, not even the complimentary Roadside Service that is offered on there website, When I mentioned the $70 dollar rebate offered on there website to customers who purchase 4 New BF tires in November. David "the owner" had NO idea what I was even talking about and was certain that his company did not offer such a thing. They are both rude, arrogant and not helpful in anyway. I was charged $400 over any other tire shop prices. After picking up my truck from Gilberts Tire Shop, I noticed that the center piece to one of my rims was missing. I went back to Gilbert's TiRe Shop, and talked with the gentleman who installed the center caps. He told me he was aware of the fact that he had damaged it and he appolized for not saying anything at the time. I was told the center cap would be ordered, and mailed to me. They guarantee to be a HASSLE free tire shop. It has been nothing but a hassle! If you need tires spend LESS, get a warranty, great customer service and no hassle at LES SCHWAB! I had an appointment to get wheels here. I showed up on time and was told they were slammed although there was only 1 person in front of me. The manager asked if I could come back later? Sure, so I come back 2 hours later and after they proceed to put 3 other people ahead of me I realized they didn't want my business. I drove to one of their competitors where I got the same exact rims with TPI's installed for the price Gilbert's was going to charge me for the wheels without the TPI's. I used to get services done at Gilbert's but no longer. There's no excuse for treating me like that or for the overpriced service.

The owner here, Gilbert, is pretty obnoxious. But I was told to call him before buying tires from Costco. I talked with him on the phone and explained what I was getting from Costco. He moaned and complained but finally offered me a better tire for less. Once we got there he was kind of rough around the edges, but when a family came in he was super friendly with them and the kids. So maybe it was just me.

So the snowpocalypse hit. And we needed snow tires on our front wheel drive really bad as she was stuck in the driveway earlier. I called everywhere. No one I called had any studded tires or chains. Ironically my lady's last name is Gilbert so I said shoot I'll give it a shot. Studded tires for less than what you could ever guess! Also very friendly service. Turns out this place has been here for over 50 years. Only way I know that is that a customer who was here (rocking a finely combed skullet) told us he's been mobbing around on thier tires since he was young with a dodge dart. It was a very family like setting as we waited as well. Will probably only come here for tire services in the future.

I bought tires from the tirebuyer website, had them delivered to Gilbert's for installation and they did the install quickly. Customer service was fine- but when I left I noticed the handling of my vehicle was significantly worse. I attributed it to new tires until I checked a few days later and realized they put 7 more lbs of pressure than my car manufacturer recommended. I'll continue to go here, but I'll make sure they don't overfill my tires next time. Edit: I knocked off a star because they did it to a vehicle at my work too. It doesn't seem like an accident or a mistake if filling tires beyond factory specs happens twice. Overfilling your tires reduces the amount of contact the rubber has with the road, causes uneven wear, changes the handling, and if overfilled too much increases the risk of a blow out when the tires heat up and the air inside expands.
