If you need cheap used tires, this place is the way to go. They dont have much for customer service, but they have deals you that no one can beat. Also, its pretty shady. I wonder if Mcmenamins will turn it into a dive bar in the next few decades?

They were helpful but don't expect something for nothing, first tried to sell me dry rotted tires. When I pointed that out they agreed and searched for others, but everything was either overly worn out or not in matching sets. Come here for patches, mounts, balances, but be wary of what tires they try to give you.

One of the best prices for new tires. If you buy tires from them, will do free tire rotation every 3-4k and tire repair, just like any big shop but much cheaper. Very fast work. Had to to alignment on two front wheels, took like 15 min. Recommended!!!

I was approached as soon as I pulled up with a flat tire, into their small lot . The Tire attendant Josh was very efficient as he explained what caused my flat tire , how it was to be removed and my options of how to fix it . He also explained to me the different types of tire repairs . The prices are very reasonable , Attendant was very informative and thorough, I was very impressed .. The crew was very helpful and the service was effective and efficient. While we waited for our tires to be prepared, we probably saw 5-6 customers come and go with various needs and they all left having fulfilled what they set out to do. If you have the time, it is worth the drive because the cost was really comparable to all other locations.

Double J repaired my tire for me, that some other business said that I needed a new tire. Double J said that I don't need a new tire and they could easily fix what was wrong with my tire. Double J tire charged me $8 to fix the tire, saving me $63 from buying a new tire. The employees there are professional. I highly recommend this business to other people. I will go back to Double J when I need a another tire fixed or if I actually have to buy a used tire.

I had to use a different tire they suggested because my car's spare was also having issues. A week later I realized the tire they sold me had a slow leak in it.

I had a flat that was misrepaired at another shop and I was expecting them to tell me I needed all new tires and I should get the top performance and it'll only be like 800 minimum. But Ron helped me and not only did he say my tread was still good for a while but he also fixed the tire the right way. So 15 minutes and 15 dollars later I was on my way. Saved me hundreds of dollars thanks Ron Pay the man his money

YEAH buddy, these guys are solid tire-changers, and they have a booty-load of tires. I mean it's really out of control the massive amount of tires that they have right there on-site. They had all the tires I needed- all four of them, even though my car needs funny-sized tires. The two men who helped me were funny and pleasant and accommodating and sweet, and they dealt with my complainy apprehension about the cost, and about the fact that my car felt funny to drive after the change, with a smile and a nod. I got all four tires replaced for a super extra fair price, definitely cheaper than anywhere else, and all with 80% tread, AND they referred me to an awesome place to get my alignment fixed as well.... like dang I feel lucky that I was referred here. Places like this make me wonder if maybe capitalism could work if people actually cared about each other, and had integrity in their business. The end. This was the first review I ever wrote! They deserve it!

A long long time ago when I didn't have a ton of money rolling in every month I needed a new tire and my wonderful son recommended Double J Tire Center on MLK near North Lombard. Not only did I get a quality good used tire in a matter of minutes but I also formed a lasting friendship and I have been back anytime I need tires. Flat tires are eight bucks to repair and a good quality used tire can run you 20 to $30 depending on treadwear. But do not be alarmed these guys are Straight Shooters and their mission is to help you out impress you and make you want to come back for the rest of your life every time you have a flat tire or need tires of any kind. The guys that work here are hard-working bruisers that never give up and never complain. As you can tell I truly respect and enjoy my visits to Double J Tire Center. I'm sure many of you use Goodyear or Les Schwab certainly because they are trendy and have good inventory but I highly recommend Double J Tires.

One of Double J's employees (Aaron) notified me while in traffic that I had a flat. Concerned, I pulled into a gas station to see what this situation was and fill it with air. Aaron was kind enough to check in on the situation and told that my tire had been vandalized. He then offered to help me put the spare on. He was a godsend that night. Naturally, I went to the Double J Tire Center that he works for the next morning to get the tire sorted out. Jesse took car of my tire - it took all of 10 minutes and all of $8 to fix the problem. From what could have been a terrible experience, I was lucky to have the good folks of Double J Tire looking out for me. I'll go back with any tire issues I have.

Good service at an affordable price. Just don't expect anyone to "run out to your car". As long as you understand that they get busy, you may need to wait, and you need to go and talk to the proprietor, things will work out fine. A lady in a Mercedes didn't get that when I was there and drove off in a flash. Oh well, she can pay more elsewhere and be happy.

I purchased a set of like new tires from them today, only to find out I only save about $20-30 bucks buying them off their used lot vs buying new. The tires were overpriced for what they were. Look up the tires you’re buying used before you purchase. They were $300 for the set ($75 each) but can find them for about 85 per tire, new.

I came here to buy tires, not be insulted for my appearance. When I was checking out, the cashier asked for my ID. Upon handing it to him, he proceeded to compare my present appearance to that depicted in my driver license. I suppose that's what you do when you check and ID, but I didn't need to hear multiple times that I look "much better" in person and maybe I "used to be a bigger girl". I felt objectified and harassed. The staff here is entirely unprofessional, and I would never return here, even if they gave away the tires for free.
