These guys found a problem three other mechanics couldn't locate, and fixed it at no charge in under 20 minutes from the time I walked in the door. I didn't find them discriminatory at all - I don't know where that review is coming from. These are my new go-to guys! Not only was the whole staff friendly and helpful, but their waiting area is clean and comfortable and doesn't reek of grease. Well played, Bob Brown Tires, well played!

Brown Parkrose recommended the Nokian WGR all weather traction Snow tire. I would have to say they are fantastic. I have made so much money in ice storms driving Uber part time. I have driven in ice to Timberline in a snow storm and navigated the ice on the hills in Portland. I have been able to get my riders to there destination 100% of the time. Yesterday I out performed a Toyota 4x4 with studded tires. They turned around and I made my way through no problem. I am driving a front wheel drive Chevy Malibu eco. It's not about power it's all about the tire. These Rock!!! Thanks for the recommendation on this tire. Fantastic performance. It's all season too.

We have been going to Bob Brown Tires for a decade or more for our tire needs. Recently we got 4 brand new tires for our Escalade, which were not cheap, over $1000. A few days later, one looked a little flat, so we took it in. Apparently the tube had been installed wrong and needed to be fixed. They did fix this for free, but it was a little alarming it had been done wrong to begin with. A week later, I took my car in for 4 new tires which was close to $700. The tire light was on immediately upon leaving. They stated it was a dead sensor and would be $240 to replace all 4 sensors. I chose not to replace the sensors since they said the tires were fine, just a faulty sensor. 2 weeks later, I had a flat. They said since I didn't get the "extended warranty" only the basic warranty, this flat wasn't covered and I'd need to buy an entirely new tire. After 2 weeks!!!!!! I'm a little sad, because this place I once trusted has completely lost my trust. I will need to find a new tire shop. I find it upsetting after buying 8 new tires here, both cars had problems, and my tire only lasted 2 weeks before it went flat, and they basically said "tough luck." The crew there have always been nice and welcoming, but when I drop nearly $2k on a store in a month, I don't expect to have a flat tire that same month. I'm not sure if changing hands or name had anything to do with it, but I would be weary of the work and the customer service here at this point.

Went for an oil change and tire rotation. They got to my car right on time. There is a comfortable waiting room with complementary water bottles. The bathroom was spotless. The smell of rubber is a bit overpowering but the service was excellent. I will continue using them.

I recently took my older Dodge Dakota pickup in for an alignment check. I had Brown's Point S put new tires on it and hadn't had an alignment for some time. I left it there. They checked it and it needed an alignment so they did one. It was ready within a couple of hours. I have done business with Bob Brown Tires since I was a teenager, (which means since 1973?). They have alway served me and my family well! I love their Cooper Winter "snowflake" tires. We have used them for years on different vehicles for skiing and winter driving. Scheduled LYFT inspection after being inspected at the LYFT hub and failed for a burned out light. All other systems were a pass. Browns inspected and failed it because they claim the vehicle needs 2 new rires and rear brakes. Hummm thats odd ( they are a tire and brake shop ) 1 star at best.

Tier rotation without balancing tiers. So after one week going on the trip and front tiers are shaking badly in high speed. I ask them about balancing the tiers and the guy in front desk said it's not needed. I've shouldn't gone to this place in first place and have to pay again to have the front tier balanced.

Went in for a simple break estimate, only because Lyft recomended we use this establishment. Waited forever to have the most unhelpful, disorganized, incompetent person attempt to do his job. Was told 30-45 mins. After 50 mins and no movement of my car, went to schwab right down the street, was in and out in half the time.

In response to your response to Gene Kelley’s review you might want to rethink your 4/32” assertion. State of Oregon legal requirement is 2/32” which coincidentally is the same depth every tire manufacturer puts the wear bar depth. And don’t even try making the argument that the tread is measured to the wear bars, because it’s not. It’s measured to the bottom of the tread groove as per federal law noted in the second picture in this review.

I came in to get a new tire, LesSwab priced a set of 4 at around $500(low side). The service man who helped me said he could do them for less then Les Swab. I asked for a replacement tire for the one I blew and he put on a used tire for the price of a new tire which I was unaware of which cost me nearly $80. He gave me a estimate for a set of 4 tires that were nearly $900. Even LesSwab estimate was lower. I now have a used tire which cost me $80 which I will loose when I get a new set...wouldn't it have been a little more relevant to get a new tire at that price and only have to pay for 3 when I went in and bought the set.. Maybe I should have been told in the beginnig I was getting a used tire so I wouldn't be wasting my money. HOW can I trust a dealer when business is ran in this manner.i can see spending maybe $40 for a get me bye tire. But for $80 i certainly could have bought a new one and only had 3 left to buy...now I'm stuck with the cost of the used tire and still the cost of a complete set...doesn't make sense to me...and I was on the understanding it was a new tire at that price..when I opened the packet and seen the recipe say Used..I was upset. But then again its already a done deal....I loose out...ya can't say this was a positive experience and it was my first time to this business.

Our family has a Subaru Impreza (with AWD). Recently my daughter ruined one of the tires. Unfortunately, the AWD system needs all of the tires to be the same diameter so you can't just run two or three used tires and with one or two new ones. Thankfully this store offers tire shaving service for $35! Their road hazard coverage also covered half the cost of the new tire (it's pro-rated for wear). So, for $70 I'm back on the road without having to replace all four tires which is what Les Schwab suggested.

This place is great. I brought in my subaru ton get a tire fixed. It was almost closing time but they did it anyway. Then they saw that I had another nail in a different tire. They fixed that one too and wouldn't let me pay for it. I just went back and bought a new set of tires because I know they will stand by them. Glad to have such a great shop in the neighborhood.

Took my truck in for front tires and alignment. 94 Ford Ranger. Tires were a little pricey, but OK, with balancing, new valve stems, and disposal of the old tires, not horrible. First red flag was $89.95 for alignment. Nothing fancy, not a 4 wheel alignment, just a standard front end alignment. OK, I'm here, just pay it; my time has value. Then I'm told my brakes need replacing. I'm not having nay problems with them, so I told them to skip it. Did it myself when they were done for $30 worth of parts and 45 minutes of my time. But then, the service manager comes out and tells me they can't do the alignment. My ball joints are shot, tie rod ends, steering box - essentially I need the front end rebuilt for roughly $1100. Which is interesting, as I'm in the lobby watching them work on it. They didn't put it on a lift, they jacked up the front end the same way I do, but jacking it up on the suspension itself. Meaning there's no way in hell they could tell if any of the components were worn out, as the only to evaluate ball joints, etc... is to take the load off them and check them for play. So I thanked them, let them waste some time working up an estimate, thanked them, paid for the tires, and left. Took it to the alignment shop on 82nd and got it aligned with zero problems. BTW, the brake pads still had probably 10,000 miles left on them. I have a feeling they saw a 94 truck come in and assumed it was high mileage, not knowing it had only 140K miles on it. The entire front end doesn't wear out in 140K miles, guys, sorry. But thanks for playing. If I could give them zero stars I would. I shudder to think how many of the people praising them here have no mechanical knowledge and suffered the consequences of their ignorance. I certainly won't be going back. *Edit: Owner claims that they offered to let me see the extent of the problem. Nonsense; I would use a much stronger obscenity but I don't want my review removed. I was *never* offered the opportunity to view any supposed problems. As I said, when I got home, I replaced my brake pads and did my own inspection, to find that there were no issues and everything was tight. The truck has, as I said, 140K miles on it. A front end doesn't wear out in 140K miles. And if it was so horrible that they couldn't align it, how is it that The Alignment Shop on 82nd was able to align it with no problems? I hate it when people lie to me. I particularly hate it when a company offering a service such as auto repair, which is a critical issue for so many people, lies to me in person and them lies again in response to a review. Should have just kept it zipped, gents. Not only will I not be going back, now I will do my best to make sure anyone I know and/or meet knows my experience. If as much was completely worn out as you claim, I could hardly be using the truck as my daily driver. Your prices are exorbitant, your service is a ripoff , and your defensive response merely cements my original impression, in my humble opinion.
