We got our all terrain truck tires here and it was very worth it. Free tire rotations and alignment when you get tires here. We also got new shocks and leif springs here. Excellent customer service and quick service. Highly recommend for trucks!

Very rude customer service. They tell you over the phone one price to mount tires and then when you show up its double the price. If you have unlimited money then come here otherwise check elsewhere and save your $$$.

I had really good experience at this shop!! Yesterday, I had a flat tire while driving. I stopped by this place in an emergency since I was on my way to pick up my child from school. I asked for help and the employees came out and just took a few minutes to fix it. They are super nice & sweet corresponding. I was in a hurry, so I really appreciate their kindness. These guys are the real deal.. No pressure, more than willing to answer any questions and most of all AMAZING service. I took my truck in for lift, wheels, tires and steps and it was done less than 24hrs after I dropped it off exceeding any expectations that I had set in my mind. Troy was very helpful with guiding me through everything that I needed and making sure to have options for me based on my preferences. Great shop, Great staff and GREAT experience.

Wouldn't allow me to even look at the wheels before I had them installed. No way of knowing if it was actually what I wanted, they wouldn't even let me look at my finished car before I paid. Then they charged me for an alignment they said was included over the phone. Told me I needed camber bolts which I will be purchasing myself and then taking elsewhere for the final alignment. Piss poor customer service for the money I spent. Also found the same wheels with better tires for 100 dollars less down the road. However, the work they did seems to be thorough and the finished product looks nice. More shopping around is definitely encouraged as the price could definitely be better, and the customer service and communication would most definitely be better anywhere else. I found myself walking out of the building after paying for everything, looking at my car for the first time (in the dark) and thinking "Eh, at least it was what I ordered." They said they would put it back on the rack for free if I ordered parts through them but I just don't think I want to give them anymore than I already have. Will not be returning. UPDATE: Shop didn't leave me the 6 spline key for the lug nuts on my new wheels. Have to order one online. Plus I found their camber bolts they had for $90 in their catalog, online for $25. Same brand, same strength. I guess it is Portland. Shook my head at the fact that the clerk didn't even check my ID on my $1000 purchase. Very dissatisfied.

Awhile back I had a local 4x4 shop here in Clackamas install the Rubicon longarm lift onto my Jeep wrangler. The lift is slated as one of the best lifts for an all-around street/trail Jeep. Upon picking it up from the shop that installed it I drove away and at 35 Mph it began to vibrate. At 55 Mph it was shaking, and at 60-70 Mph it shook violently. Over the following eight months I returned it time and time again, dropping off the jeep only to pick it up at the end of the day to an “All Fixed”. What I learned on each incident was that their “All Fixed” simply meant that they managed to change the shaking to a different speed or frequency. At some point I just took it to another shop and suffered same outcome so I gave up. So fast forward… In an effort to “Calm this thing down” I decided to purchase new wheels and tires and therefore began my dealing with Troy and his crew at automotive outfitters. In order to keep this review somewhat short and to the point. After the install of the wheels and tires Troy did a full four wheel alignment and while it all helped, it was still there. Troy insisted that I bring it back to see what they could do. I returned the jeep and later that afternoon I got a call from Troy saying that he would like to keep it for a few days as each thing they tried either helped or made it worse but he felt that if given the time they could resolve it. Four day later I get the call from Troy that it’s ready and “I think you will like it”, he says. I didn’t have a ride to his shop during the day and Troy offered to drive it home as he didn’t live far from me and the wife and I could then pick it up after she got off of work. Two things here need to be said. First, when I drove it away from Troy’s home I didn’t hold a lot of hope that it would be gone, but hoped that it would be tolerable. I turned down the road… 35 Mph Nothing. 40 Mph, still nothing before getting to the stoplight at Hwy 213. “Cool I thought.” But here we go… Hwy 213, 40 Mph. Nothing. 55 Mph again nothing. 65 Mph OMG I found myself with a grin from ear to ear. 75 Mph and just the very slightest and normal for a lifted Jeep on 33’s and off road tires. Second, The bill. I knew the bill for their time was going be expensive and was prepared (they had the Jeep for four days). When Troy gave me the bill I gave pause and asked if it was correct. Absolutely he says. It was much less than I had anticipated. Troy I cannot thank you and your crew enough. You have won over my belief in outstanding customer service again. Thanks for everything. You guys are the best…

I’m the type of person who refuses to let other people work on my car, especially shops. But sometimes you can’t always figure out everything yourself and need a second person to take a look. I highly recommend automotive outfitters to anybody. They are truly honest and and good at what they do. I did a lot of calling around and I know for a fact their prices are a lot better than most shops. They found the problem, fixed it fast, didn’t charge too much and were super nice people. Don’t hesitate going to these guys. They know what they’re doing.

I was a first-time customer who had a general idea of what I wanted for a suspension lift but wasn't exactly sure on what was what and who was who. No joke, within five minutes of talking to Jody, I knew I was going to do business with him. Two days later, my new truck went straight from the dealer in Sandy to these guys on Foster--and I'm glad I did. Aside from their customer service being some of the best I've encountered in Portland, their workmanship is unmatched. Just excellent. Everything is tight and clean, and this is the best-looking rig I've ever had. Other companies in town should take a page from these guys because this is how you run a business. Troy and his team are just outstanding. I recently purchased a 2016 Toyota 4Runner and needed to get the vehicle lifted before a weekend trip. I showed up at 1:00PM and Troy gave me a quote for a 3 inch lift and a 6 inch lift. I decided to go with the 3 inch lift and they were able to knock it out that same day! By 5:00PM my vehicle was lifted, aligned and ready to go. I have a co-worker that owns the exact same vehicle and you can not tell the two apart on how they handle after the lift... I could not be more happy with the work performed. I also recently had a horrible experience with Gresham 4 Wheel Drive & Off Road with my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Troy and his team were able to asses and correct their work. Within minutes of looking at my the Jeep they were able to find problems with the lift, offered solutions, inspected the entire lift and corrected the other shops work. The turn around time on this was also impressive, they only took 1 day to get it completed and on the road again. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and make it a top priority to compete the work as quickly as possible. This is the only place I will be taking my vehicles for suspension work. I've had a history of bad luck in finding a shop who can properly balance out the tires on my cars. My cars are typically of a higher performance variety updated with suspension components that don't allow for any shake, wobble, etc. in the wheels/tires. I can feel everything. So imagine my delight that after 25 minutes and $25 to balance some newly installed tires (that Mercedes of Portland couldn't even do right), bam, done, smooth as butter. I'll be taking my MINI here as well, and probably have them do some work on my Nissan Frontier as well. Thanks guys!

Bought strut extenders from another company, called Automotive Outfitters to ask if they can install it for me and they imediatelly gave me a reasonable quote. Decided to also buy tires from them and got all the work done in a day and I'm very happy with the results. My Mini Cooper in is 2.5" taller now, easier to get in and out and I can access even more of the Mt. Hood hidden treasures now. AO know they stuff, aren't afraid to try new things. They are fair with pricing and overall great people. Will recommend them to anybody, any day.

I had a believe it or not, untouched 350z. Factory paint from 2008, nothing was touched. No flakes, scratches. Nothing. Took it too automotive outfitters cause the owner Troy told me he could pull and roll my fenders with no problem. I was stoked, same day grabbed the Z and looked everything over after a long days worth of work. To find my fenders not even rolled, barley tucked the ends. I got paint chipping from each side all the way through and now flaking onto the seeable part of my quarter panels. I paid 200+ for my car to sit in a shop and get the paint job hacked. Now I'm being quoted over 1k to fix the paint damage, plus paying another body shop to actually do the work correctly. I wouldn't reccomend this shop to my worst enemy. Small claims court, see ya soon troy.

Great experience with these guys. I love the work they did and they were kind and helpful from start to finish. Best part was I left work early to make it before they closed but my Uber missed the turn and took me downtown. Long story short I sat in an Uber for 2 hours and arrived an hour after they closed. Jody who helped me out waited for me and when I arrived was still in great spirits. He didn’t just try to rush me out of fact his actual words were “don’t worry about me go check out your Jeep”.
