The gentlemen at Dave's West Fargo Tire and Auto Repair were knowledgeable about the repair, offered explanation of the repair and pricing options immediately upon recognizing the issue. Service was provided in a timely manner and my car has drives like it is brand new again! I use Dave's for all my regular vehicle maintenance and trust the work that this business provides. Dave's Tire helped me out this summer as an out-of-state traveller when defective tires on my van began to come apart. They fit me in without an appointment as I had a van full of show dogs. Their service is exceptional and the prices excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Ryan, Dean or Dave always do a fantastic job of explaining what they find and what the best course of action that they would recommend. To round out their team, Their mechanics have always gotten the job for me. My last visit their for a car that wouldn’t run, & no diagnostic fault codes showed up ( I checked for them 1st, like I always do), I would not have been able to figure out 2 of the 4 items that needed to be repaired. Take your car to the experts, take it to Dave’s crew!

AVOID OVER PRICED. Was charged $1300 hundred dollars for plugs, plug wires, and ignition coils. These parts total cost is around $200 and require a nut driver and spark plug wrench. Do the math... $1100 in labor. I would guess my inexperienced nephew could get this job done an hour. They used generic parts this place is a pathetic joke.

I started coming to Dave's after multiple horrible experiences at united automotive. After over a year I can say Dave's is definitely one of the better places to take your car in Fargo. I like that they actually show you your defective parts before insisting on having something replaced. It makes them look a lot more genuine. The owner and front desk people are friendly and approachable. Only critisizm is I wish they used more OEM parts and less generic. I brought my Subaru in for an emissions leak once and after they established it was a bad gas cap, they replaced it with a generic. Unfortunately Subarus do not like generic gas caps and the check engine light came back on within a week. Bought an OEM Subaru one and haven't had a problem since. UPDATE: After leaving the above review Dave gave me a discount the next time I was in for the cost of the bad fuel cap. If you ever have a problem here just ask for Dave and I can't imagine he won't make it right. Very genuine businessman.

This place has under qualified mechanics who fail to identify problems. They will make assumptions and miss the real problems and charge you for all there "work" done. My truck is now worse off because of these guys and I ended up taking it somewhere else to get it re-fixed because they made it worse. DON'T go here.

One of the tires on my wife's car was punctured by a two inch chunk of metal. This tire would cost $400.00 to replace. I had little optimism that it could be repaired. We took it to Dave's, he said he would do what he could. To my surprise, the tire was fixed. That was maybe a year ago, the tire is still holding air. Recently I dropped off my wife's car in for a large nail in another tire without an appointment. Dave's had fixed it before I got home. great work Dave. Of course, you will have all our tire needs in the future.

Dave, Ryan and Dean; along with the guys in the shop do an amazing job! I have been coming here for 4+ years and wont bring my vehicles anywhere else once I found them! They always manage to squeeze me in when there is something urgent going on with my truck. They communicate effectively during the process and there are never any surprises at the end when it comes time to pay. The prices are good, and they offer great service along the way, there really is no other place to take your vehicle for service, tires or oil changes in my opinion!

Where do I begin! I am not sure if it’s because I am from the East Coast but I have never encountered such friendliness and courtesy and care at any tire establishment ever. I am so pleased with Dave’s for the attention to detail. I went in post snow bank crash and asked for a wheel balance and tire rotation. I was informed that my two tires had lug nut s that were broken due to being mishandled by whomever I let work on my tires before. I was so thankful that Dave’s noticed the problem and it’s not cheap to replace lug nuts but safety is number one. My car runs sooo smoothly. I have to be careful not to end up in another snow bank lol. I look forward to doing business at this establishment for as long I can! Also I was able to get a ride home by the owner and he also picked me up! What outstanding customer care and service!

I have been going to Dave's for several years now. I bounced around from place to place until I went to Dave's. I don't go any place else for mechanical work. Sure if I have a coupon or in a pinch I may get my oil changed some other place but 90% of the time I will go there for even that. I lived in South Moorhead and now South Fargo but I still will drive there because I trust them. I have never felt they were trying to make an extra dollar off of me. They tell me what they see and tell me if its something that needs to be repaired now or can wait for awhile. They recommend whats best for the vehicle, not for their bill. I have sent many people there and I have never heard anyone think any differently then me. Plus Dave is willing to pick you up and drop you off if you need to get someplace while your vehicle is there. Just made an appointment for next Monday for something Dave told me awhile ago I would need done but didn't need to do it right away. He told me what to look for and when I noticed it, then it was time to bring it in. Nobody likes to have to pay a lot for repairs. However at least I know I am paying for what I need and nothing extra. Thanks

They have been around along time and I trust them. Just so "others" might know! I have "dash_cam" in my car! I just spent this night watching 5 days of video! Before my repair was done! There is only one_thing I can "call_fault" on! Video showed "Manager" stuttering outside door and confronted "mechanic"...Get I done! I am 62 yrs! And "lived" that life. I have $50,000 in tools! I "want to thank" manager for making him get it done. "For Others" whom see this post. Spent $2717.74 on repair! Just want to say, that I believe I have not been "ripped" off!

When I called Dave's to inquire about fixing a flat tire in short notice, the person who answered the phone was so friendly and got me in right away! They repaired my flat tire in 20 minutes or less and charged me only $25. After this great customer service experience, I will definitely be going to Dave's next time I need car work!

Many places can talk about great service, but Dave's is on another level. I've purchased many sets of wheels and tires here. They have a great selection and have been helpful making sure everything fits up perfect. But, it's not the product that has me recommending this place to others and coming back time and time again. I was in the other week for new tires, an oil change, as well as to get my muffler looked at. I got a call when my tires and oil change were done. They recommend that I take the car to a muffler shop to have it fixed, but they didn't stop at the recommendation. They offered to take the car to the local shop for me, called me with their price quote, had it fixed, took it back to their own shop, and I only had to pay in one place. Saved me an extra day of running my car to another shop. GREAT customer service! Thanks!

I've been putting off some repairs for a while since they didn't harm the car other than making lights on the dash glow. Speed sensor, traction control, wonky break pedal an dodgy battery maybe (irrational paranoia) and what not. Come time for the oil change I figure to get everything done at once and just take the hit. I had shown up in the past and asked hey how much would this or that be and just kept a running total in my head. I was thinking I'd be spending FAR more than what I was charged. Not only does this place have amazing service, the ability to work around my screwey schedule, a encyclopedia about cars stuffed into each employees head but they also saved me a tonn (that "typo" is staying because it's not a typo) of money. Best shop in ND and some really amazing people. Thank you everyone.

This place is one of those rare places that really cares about its customers. I needed a ride back home while work was being done to my vehicle and I got a ride with one of the nicest people I have ever met. Found out about 5 minutes before arriving at my destination that i was the owner of the company. The work done to my vehicle was top notch and they didn't pressure me into any other work. In fact, they recommended against doing what I originally self diagnosed because they felt it wasn't necessary. If you are looking for a hometown shop that gives a about you being there and being happy, then go here.

Have been here several times with two different vehicles. Never had any trouble or feeling as if they are asking to do more work then is needed. In fact when I needed work done on my wheels they found used ones instead of the more expensive after market ones. Great waiting area with clean bathrooms, tv and coffee. You can tell that Dave and Ryan know their customers and go above and beyond to be an advocate for them.
