My 81 year old mother went there to get her car inspected. She has used Pace Auto for over ten years. They told her to pass inspection she would need 4 new tires, front brakes with pads and rotors. Her bill was over $900. My mother then drove her car and her brakes failed. I took her car to my mechanic, and he asked how it could pass inspection when the gas line and brake line were all rotted out. How can Junior and Larry work on her car and not notice any of this?!?!?! I am DISGUSTED by how they took advantage of a loyal customer. I didn’t want to give them any stars, but the review wouldn’t allow it. They don’t deserve any!

I'm only giving a one star rating because I could've died on the highway!!...I got a brand new tire a little over a week ago and it was mounted on incorrectly!!...I heard a huge ratteling noise on the right side of my car and couldn't figure out what it was...it gradually increased so I had to pull over and find the nearest mechanic...he drove it and heard the same noise...finally he told me that the nuts on the wheel were loose...now I'm sure this wasn't done intentionally by pace but Jesus, this is beyond careless and dangerous...I always come here to change my tires and I'm stunned at the lack of carelessness...they have such good customer service...I just wish they would've made sure the job was completed before sending me on the road

I came in at 7am with no appointment for an annual inspection which was overdue. I was greeted by Kevin who said he could take my car right away. The inspection was finished in about 30 minutes or less, and I was presented with the bill for a whopping $10! Kevin and his team are always extremely personable and accommodating with timely appointments where at all possible, and have been honest and fair in letting me know what is needed and what the cost would be when I have brought my car to them. I highly recommend Pace for any machanical or maintenance work you might need!

Have been going here since my father brought.me here 40 years ago to get a picture for my car ins. Owner Tommy is very honest and somewhat loud when it comes to his employees, but ita.just his way, he treats everyone like family. His wife Linda I think is the the brains and strength behimd the man. His team of mechanics are top notch and always there to fix, help in qurstions or anything. They do not inflate bills, if you don't need something you don't get it, not like most places. Transition that is taking place is the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It is a 5 star operation 99.9% of the time, second to none. This past week they are going thru a transition in the office so my experience this week I ly is a 4 star rating. You have to try them if you can get there.

THIS place has crazy prices.If you need to do something else like tires replacement in your car. They ask over $450 to replace left side "tie rod end" and "inner " I can not understand from where they took this prices . I will not recommend to anyone to go there if you need do more like tire work in your car.

Their liars. They installed my tires shipped from tire rack on to my new wheels. I had an immediate shaking of the steering wheel. I called them and brought it in 2 days later thinking it would go away. I waited 1 1/2 hrs. They took off the front tires and said they were fine and did not need balancing. They put them back on without balancing so they said. They told me I lost a wheel bolt and the others are loose. They said the ones I had are too small. Which you would think they would have told me when they put them on. They said call the wheel mfg co and insist on the right bolts. I get home and find attached to the wheels the weighted magnets that are used to balance. Hmm, interesting. So PS, they didn't balance at first visit. They threw away one of my bolts. And made it seem like a bolt MFG problem. The wheel MFG co told me the 27mm long bolt that Pace said is too short, was fine. Their liars! Stay away! BTW, I'm the guy with the Audi S5.

I've had a lot of work done here, because of its reputation and a recommendation from my brother. Finances were a little tight at the time, and they had recommended certain things to do on the car. After a no nonsense discussion, we were able to prioritize the work as to what needed to be done NOW vs what could wait, and not jeopardize safety in any way. I've NEVER felt like I was being taken advantage of, or bullshitted to, and you can't get better than that.

My wife and I discovered a rapidly leaking tire on our 2016 Camry. We needed to take care of it quickly because we needed to pick up our grandchildren from school. We had never been to Pace before, or truthfully even been aware of it. We spotted it when we were putting air in the tire at the BP right across the street and decided to give it a try. We were delighted with the prompt, courteous and efficient emergency service they provided. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and on our way to pick up our grandchildren thanks to the excellent, expedited service Pace provided to us and we were very grateful. Ran over a muffler with the exhaust pipe and went right to Pace. Was able to leave the car there with confidence to get diagnosed. Received a call about the problem with a price quote shortly after and was told the car would be ready by 3 PM. Got a call at 1:30 PM to tell me the car was ready and the price was what I was quoted earlier in the day. Always glad to go to Pace because I know I will be treated fairly and professionally.

I have gone to this mechanic three times for an oil change and paid three separate times. I took the car to the dealership where I got it checked and they informed me that the cars oil was indeed never changed. Every time I had brought my car to this mechanic to fix a problem my car would come back to me with a brand new problem. They had even used the wrong coolent which caused my water pump to malfunction and caused major problems. These people are thieves and have no idea what the hell they are doing. I wish for no one to bring there car here because you will indeed get cheated and lied too. I cannot stress enough how mad and dissapointed I am from this service.

Always a great experience. Most times I just walk in without an appointment because somersomemay have just poopped up and they always say give us a few minutes & we'll see you. They never turn me away. Just last week I brought my car in because 4 lights came on at once when I started it, I was driving home from work on the Island & got there 10 min before closing, they took my keys & more info & said they would look at it in the morning. A couple of min after I left they called & said this should be covered under my warranty at Honda & if they touched it they would have to charge me. Honda was closed as well so I had it towed in the morning but they didn't have to tell me that, they could have just fixed the car like I asked. Nope, these guys are good honest people. I went back yesterday with my car because Honda left a hubcap in my backseat & I had a question. I always forget their names but the gentleman who saw me first & was in the middle of something else immediately came outside put my cap back on & answered my questions (I was questioning something Honda did). I think they are great guys who care about what they do and have good personalities to match. Oh and as a woman going into a service station you never feel intimated or like they are just giving you a line & taking your money because they are not like that, very respectful. I have referred many people to them & am confident when I do.

They did the mushroom plug/patch correctly, the way it should have been done and balanced the tire. 2)Went back again with a leak and they solved the problem, bent rim..they banged it back into shape. 3(Went back again for a head lamp installation. 4)Went back again to have new tires installed.Honest, checked alignment after installation and verified that my existing alignment was good.5lWent back again to have new struts and springs installed in my '98 Camry. Aligned it up after installation and gave me a printout.They have made a customer out of me. Tom, Jimmy, Kevin,Emil, Nick and Matt run a real professional shop. Certified mechanics, knowledgeable people and reasonable costs with integrity of service make for an honest, wonderful experience.

I recently brought my car in as a first time customer. They performed a wheel alignment, inspection and oil change. Jimmy was amazing. Very kind and honest and patiently communicated with me over questions and concerns with an engine light problem. I brought my car in at 730am on a Saturday and they had it done by 11am. They don't do anything diagnostic during the week. As for the price, it was fair and they didn't pad it or do any unnecessary work that I've experienced with mechanics in the past. I will always bring my car here from now on. Honesty, convenience, great prices and fantastic work. Can't possibly ask for more! Thank you Pace!

I'm not sure what happened with the service on my last visit. These guys are usually awesome. But this time, they dropped the ball. I brought my car in because the tire pressure monitoring light kept coming on, even I filled and re-filled the tire. I was told that I had a cracked rim and that it would have to go out for a repair. When I asked how much, I was told between 80 and 100 dollars. I asked for a more specific number and when the gentleman who was writing my ticket asked the owner, he said 150. I didn't argue, if that's the price, then so be it. But people writing the ticket should know. Anyway, I left the tire. It was Monday evening. I was told that it would be sent out on Tuesday and would definitely be back on Friday, but that I should call on Wednesday because there was a possibility that the rim may be back at the shop on Wednesday evening. (Thursday was Thanksgiving, so it was out of the question). When I called on Wednesday to check, I was told that it wasn't there (no big deal), but that it wouldn't be there on Friday either (This annoyed me). I wasn't given a reason, but I was told that it would definitely be in on Saturday. Fast forward to Saturday...I called in the morning. No rim. I was told to call back laster, after noon. I called at 2:30. The gentleman who answered the phone said that he would call Emil (the manager) and the tire shop and then call me back. I never got a call back. I called back at 4:10. I was then told that they had no answers and that Emil would have answers since he's management. I could call him on Monday morning. When I called on Monday morning, Emil said that he didn't know I didn't have the rim, so obviously, even though I was told that the Saturday crew called him, they either didn't or there was a HUGE miscommunication. Emil told me he would call me back as soon as he had any info but that it should definitely be in by Monday evening. I called back at noon to see if there was any update. Tom, the owner picked up, asked me to wait while he got answers and then he called me back. He informed me that the rim was in the truck being delivered and would be in the shop in an hour. I got to the shop in the evening. Tom greeted me immediately, apologized for the confusion and knocked 25 dollars off the price. If not for Tom, I would have given 1 star. Again, this is not typical of the service that I get at Pace Tires. It's usually 4 or 5 star service. But this time, they dropped the ball.

I bought my car in Saturday morning to get New York state inspection. Gentleman behind the counter was courteous and professional. Think of it as a doctor's office. You get there early you leave early. What I know about Pace tire is, if you have to wait a few hours it's because of mechanics are well-trained, and who doesn't want to go to a place nowadays where Mechanics will not rip you off. Top-notch, honest, and reliable repair facility. Was visiting from out of town when my car broke down a few blocks from this service center, which had serviced my cars when I lived in Queens. My dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree – Check Engine light, Check Hybrid System, Check AWD System, Check VSC System. Tom and his expert staff quickly diagnosed the problem – multiple faulty ignition coils – and repaired it for a reasonable price. They also made sure the car was fixed by driving it for several days to/from their homes so I would have peace of mind when I returned to pick it up. The car is running fine.

Had a Company Jeep that needed a 10,000 mile check up. Since it’s a fleet assigned to me I’m responsible for maintenance. Emile is a great guy. He’s always in a great mood and eagerly assists you and knows what he’s doing. He gives great advice. The checkup was excellent. Rotated tires, Synthetic Oil Change, changed the cabin filter, and while there I got my inspection done a month early. The price was much cheaper then what I would have paid at Jeep. Great prices. Great employees. Great work. This is the place you wanna go for tires or any car trouble.

Outstanding service. This is the fifth time (I believe) we went there. The place is always full and busy but get the job done very quick. I changed four tires (6 years old) this time with reasonable price and excellent service. They request to change or replace the items that you really need, don’t like other shops that cheated on customers. They are always welcome and patience no matter what kind of customers you are. No matter how far I moved, I ever go back again and get the service done.

They are always so helpful at Pace. They are the only place I go to get work done on my car. I needed to have my tires changed and Nick was so helpful with recommending tires that would perfectly fit my needs (they are wonderful tires). They ordered the tires for me and they were delivered the same day. They were so thorough and noticed that my oil needed changing since my light was on and they had asked me if I wanted it changed while I had the car there. They always are so honest there and won't do extra work on your car if you don't need it done. They do get work done in a timely manor, sometimes they are busy and there is a wait but its well worth the wait. They are always so friendly at Pace and know your name when they talk to you. I do recommend them to everyone I know for car service, their prices are reasonable and their customer service and honesty is worth every penny.

The shop has new owners and the service is slower. Got maintenance done and they gave me back car with tire pressure light still which I had mention. Had to go back and have it done. They said I needed my air filter changed and asked how much they said 25 but forget to mention 50 labor fee. Not sure I take my car back.

Tom and his wife, and the rest of the staff go out of their way to help you. If a part is not readily available, Tom will do everything he can to get it for you. When he says he will get back to you, he always does on a timely basis. I was recommended to them and I have always found them to be honest. Many times when I thought something was wrong with my car, after inspecting it, they would tell me there was nothing wrong so I would not be spending money needlessly. In addition, I've never had to go back because they did something incorrectly. They fix it correctly the first time. They are also very pleasant and have a great reputation.

Worst experience ever! I don’t understand how they handle their business!! Make you wait two hours and more for nothing when they had my car hoisted up for the last 15 minutes and made me wait all that time. And then charge ridiculous prices. Not to mention where is the air in my tires? Brand new, should be driving on full aired tires! Not to mention days later got a flat! New tires for what?! Almost two and a half hours wasted!! Never coming back here again! Rather drive on my spair tire!

1 star is too much. My tires were wearing alittle off. I went there for an alignment. 4 hours later I got my car back with a laundry list of work I needed and the wheels going in 2 different directions. My car was driving straight when I brought it in and when I returned it they got mad and loosened my rear axles. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT WALK INS. THEY HAVE TOO MANY COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS TO CARE ABOUT THE REGULAR PERSON.

Don't have enough space to explain.The wonderful feeling I had after having my car serviced at PACE. Choosing to wait on my service. I over heard customers being told of repairs that were not necessarily needed. That is unheard of in repair shops .This happened more than once. I went in for front end work. After inspiration, suggested tires be rotated. Now being told the one set was old. Desk person (KEN) found me A set of 4 brand new.Made in the USA tires. Arranged for rebate, and special financing. I never had to call,sign,or give any personal information out loud. That experience way great. P.S. The tire price was very satisfying. And my vehicle is giving me A much smoother ride. I say money well spent. Plan to have all of my automotive needs .Taken care of by PACE in the future. The crew that gives you the feeling of appreciation. For bringing your business to them.
