Ronnie was great! Quickly took the vehicle and ran diagnostics. Thank you!

I took my car for inspection and it "FAILED". They said it was the brakes, though they never got the tire lock and looked. They went through and elaborate quote saying the car needed new brakes and rotors and tires for close to 2k. I feel like this was fishy. I took it the next week to MAVIS and it passed inspection easily. They only charged me $10 for the inspection, and when they looked at the brakes they showed me that the car has several thousand miles to go before it needs only pads. In short, this place is a total scam operation. They will fail your car on purpose. DO NOT GO THERE!!

I had a similar experience to all the other reviews. It wasn't positive at all. I would avoid this mechanic at all cost. They gave me the run around, kept my car longer than they said they would and they never once called me. Every time I spoke with them it was me calling to check in.

Tiffany Fields

To my dismay, I'm not the only one who had a more than terrible experience with the company. 1. My car died and wouldn't turn on after several attempts at a jump so the tow truck guy insists that he take my car to his mechanic down the street because he's never heard of the mechanic that progressive has dispatched my car too. Unfamiliar with the area, I trusted his professional opinion and allowed him to tow my gar to Goodyear NYC Tire and Auto Care. 2. My car needed a new alternator and battery and they quote me an astronomical price of $1167 plus tax. 3. After calling several other reputable places and receiving MUCH lower quotes, I call Goodyear to inform them that my car will be towed to another location. Suddenly, they're now able to fix my car for $795 plus tax 4. Ian informs me that i must pay via credit card over the phone before they work on my car. I tell him that i'll need a couple of days and I that i will call back. 5. When i arrive at the shop two days later to pay for the storage and diagnostic fees, Ian informs me that my car has already been fixed?!!? He insists that I told him to fix it, despite the fact that he himself told me that they wouldn't begin work unless i paid over the phone via credit card. 6. After driving away, I found that my car had been searched and that the mechanics had gone through my things. My $500 dollar pair of prescription prada glasses were missing from the sunglass holder. My $300 dollar pair of beats by dre headphones were missing from the trunk & my groceries (an 8 pack of gatorade, an 8 pack of sprite and a 6 pack of Snapple) were missing as well. 7. I later noticed dust and footprints all over my back seat and a new dent in the side of my door. I'm appalled at the quality of service, especially with a name like Goodyear on it. I will NEVER return to this garage and i hope nobody else makes the mistake of doing so either.

My Ford Explorer's fan belt broke on a weekend. This was the only shop that would service me. They were sooo nice and accommodating (this is why I gave them 1 star) when I had my car towed in. When I called to check the status of my vehicle the next day, the young male attendant was very rude and short with me. When I picked my car up (fixed the fan belt and got an oil change), I noticed that there was no oil change sticker on the windshield. I asked the young attendant if they changed the oil. His reply was an emphatic and condescending, "Yes. You have a sensor in your car to prove it. When oil is low, your car will indicate 'oil change required'." As you all know, sometimes sensors don't work. I asked if he was sure because there was no sticker. He grimaced and called a worker to put the 3000 miles oil change sticker on. Well, I trusted them (my fault) and didn't check the oil until the following day. The oil was BLACK. THEY LIED AND DIDNT CHANGE THE OIL. (I'm actually sitting in a Pep Boys getting the oil changed as I type this." Also I got a weird call the following day from them saying that the when the fan belt broke, it also broke the AC plug and they asked me to come in and get it repaired. I thought about calling and demanding a free oil change AND to fix my AC (which was working fine when I arrived there) but I chose to let it go. I don't want to EVER go to this place again. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY ARE DISHONEST. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! Thank you M

I have to say, the first time of me coming here I was skeptical. The customer service here exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend to any one looking for trust worthy customer service, knowing that their car is in great hands.

One of my $200 tires popped this morning destroying my workday. I had my car towed to this shop and after about an hour I was notified that they did not have my tire size. I was told that it would be $40 to patch my tires so that I can drive either home or to a location that had the tire. After a quick two-minute conversation with the manager the $50 patch price was compt. Not the best day in the world but it's getting better. Ty

Do not take your car here. When I picked up my car it was sputtering and smoking. I drove immediately to another shop where they confirmed that the work that I was billed for was not completed. They charged me $650 for replacing a fuel pump that they never replaced. Now I am going through the hassle and stress of trying to get my money back. I uploaded a picture of my fuel pump that clearly was not replaced. Look at all of the dirt and grime on it.

A low cost of wheel alignment is yet another great service that tire stores should offer, so you get out the door with more value. I Want to konw that if you have a 4 Wheel alignment?

These guys are 100% professionals. Came in for a simple brake/rotor change and in a matter of a few hours they were done. Convenient location and reasonably priced for midtown west.

This place is great. I don't take my car anywhere else. Staff is warm and friendly. Great location for if you have to leave your car overnight, close to Times Square Port Authority station.

They told me I need to replace the battery, the price was fair but I felt like it was not the problem, I went to a different place that fixed the problem in few minutes.

The owner is very cool dude unfortunately the mechanics just cannot cut it. Don't go for the extras I think I did a lot of stuff that didn't really need to be done and I'm down a few thousand dollars more because of it. Four stars because everyone deserves to make a living and to be honest you're not going to get any better service around that area in Manhattan so you might as well go here.

jeanbalendonck

Charged me $1.200 for new brakes on my Dodge Charger 11 months ago. Just got back from inspection at the Chrysler dealer since the breaks were squeeking. Apparently they put them on incorrectly and everything has to be replaced.

Michael Cantore

Terrible... Would give zero stars if I could. Simply changing shocks turned into 4 days, still in the shop now and over $2,300 spent. I feel like we were taken advantage of. If so much was wrong why didn't they say so on day one. Every day they had a new story and more work to do. Unreal...

Jose Gomez

Can I give them no stars? I own a car service company in NJ, one of my cars broke down in the city, and we towed it to the closest garage repair possible. They gave me a quote for a battery, alternator, and a belt.... $1,200 plus tax.... What a joke!!! We told them to put the Battery in, and we drove it to NJ. for a battery $360!!!! this is a straight up armed robbery! The total job in NJ including the battery would have been $550. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE THIEFS!!!!

Julien LoPresti

They rock!

Jason Price

My sister has been going there for years then I had car issues and he let me keep it at his shop for 2 weeks over Xmas break even though it was fixed on day 2. No extra charges. I will go back without a doubt.

Derek Ertel

This place was the placed I got dropped off at. After they wouldn't even diagnose what was going on with my vehicle, they told me to come back tomorrow and maybe they would replace a part that may not even fix my car. After they were dilly dallying, and taking their time not looking at my car, I took it next door to the Midtown Center Auto and Repair and was helped immediately.

100% avoid at all costs. My insurance company used their tow service. When I went to pick up my vehicle to send to the dealer, they charged a $90 storage fee and my vehicle was damaged! Zero customer service and only out there to rip you off.

THEY DROVE MY CAR UNAUTHORIZED IN NYC ON A FRIDAY NIGHT WHILE MY CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT THEIR SHOP AND GOT A TOLL VIOLATION THAT WAS MAILED TO ME MONTHS LATER. This place is the reason 0 star reviews should be allowed. Long story is below, but short story: they charged me tons of $$ and didn't actually fix my car, they rummaged through my suitcase and car, and drove my car unauthorized and got a toll violation while they had it at their shop. I live in PA and was visiting NYC for the night. After being towed here on a Sunday when our car wouldn't start, they told me a rat chewed through my wires and couldn't fix it until tomorrow. We had to take a train home that night for work Monday, and leave our car there. The next morning, they call with a $1,700+ quote to fix my car. Knowing that sounded way too high, I asked for a detailed estimate and pictures of the damage. I showed them to my trusted car shop at home, who couldn't believe what they were charging to fix a few chewed wires. He called them to see if they would change their tone after speaking to a "car guy" instead of a "young girl they thought they could take advantage of", and was able to get it down to $590.10. Which my car guy said was still absolutely insane as he would charge $70 to fix the same thing, since there is no parts needed and would take max an hour to fix. Having no choice since a tow charge would be just as expensive to get it home, we went ahead with the fix. My boyfriend picked it up the following Saturday (first day we could get off work), and drove it home. I quickly noticed my suitcase was unzipped and rummaged through as well as the rest of my car. And the next time we tried to start the car, it didn't start. Another $250 later (which was a deal because my car guy felt so bad for me), and my car is working again. No thanks for Goodyear NYC. Fast forward 2 months to today, when I got a toll violation in the mail. Confused, I looked at the date and quickly realized it was on a date that Goodyear had my "broken" car in their shop. The violation was 20+ minutes away in NYC at almost 8pm on a Friday night. Why would my car be driven in NYC on a Friday night after hours when their shop is closed? Was it driven other places throughout the week? Who was driving my car unauthorized and for what reason? Do not trust this shop or anyone there. I felt forced to come here as it was the only shop open on a Sunday, but should have listened to the rest of these Google reviews and waited until shops opened Monday. Anything would have been better than this experience.

If I could give them 0 Stars I would. On the phone they seem very personable and genuine. For the NY State Inspection, I took my car there. After checking the car - they FAILED the inspection and said I need new Shock/Struts in the front and new Brake rotor and pads in the back. This was shock to me as none of these things came up in my regular check with the Toyota Dealer a month back. They gave me a quote for $1,000 plus had to pay $37 for the failed state inspection. I told them that I will get it checked at the dealer. They questioned my move and mentioned that they use dealer parts and are cheaper than the dealer. Anyways, I paid the $37 and walked out with the estimate. I got my car checked by another garage (should I say they didn't charge me) and they mentioned that there is a very minimal leak in the shock / struts in the front but nothing excessive and nothing that will prohibit from passing the bounce test for the inspection. They also mentioned that the back breaks are 40% worn out but not at a stage to be replaced. This new garage was surprised that we failed the inspection and provided a complete written summary of the check up. After getting an independent check done, I took the car to Mike's Auto on 30th Street and they passed the NY State Inspection with no issues. The guy even mentioned that the car is in great condition. Lesson Learned - Take your care to another garage where people are honest and not trying to rip you off!!!

DO NOT GO HERE! The owner of this place is a slippery salesperson who will try and take advantage of you. This guy wanted to charge my girlfriend almost $1000 for an alternator and a battery. If you're not familiar... those parts should cost about 300 dollars. Which means what, exactly? $700 in labor for an hour of work? I understand the idea of a markup because it is in Manhattan, but that price was egregious. Ronnie was also very condescending before he realized I knew a thing or two about cars. He then offered to lower the price to $700 for remanufactured parts. Absolute joke. This is a local AAA station and they should really re-consider being partnered with them. I paid to have my car towed to another garage where I received a price less than half of what his initial offer.

Brought my car in for a battery and cable replacement. Got gouged on price at 400 dollars, but as an out of towner, on short notice on a Saturday, I'll settle for the "convenience" fee. I had to contact them multiple times during the day to find out what was going on with the car. Eventually when I got to the shop to pick it up and pay, I find my car in a bay right on the street. The windows are open and the doors unlocked. The key in the ignition. The best part were the cigarette ashes all over my bumper, as if someone was leaning against my car ashing on it. So you'd think it was over, but it wasn't. We go inside to pay and stand at the desk for almost 15 minutes before going to find someone and stumbling into the manager office. We tell him we would like to pay and he says something about his employee never being where he's supposed to be. Comes out and bangs on the bathroom. His employee answers and the manager walks away, saying that the employee will be right with us. So we wait another 5 minutes and finally he walks out and starts to take my payment. He gets a phone call, and is rude to the customer on the line because he's asking what is taking so long to diagnose his car. The same thing happened to me... Finally we left. I've never had an experience quite like that. But suffice it to say that the tons of negative reviews on here are well deserved.

Over 90 min for an oil change during which I had to ensure that they were using the correct oil, ask for them to top off the washer fluid and fill a low tire despite signs indicating that they do this routinely and instructing them at the beginning of the service that both needed attention; I am certain that they checked nothing else. To top it off, the technician noticed that my inspection was coming due and then failed the car for issues with the front and rear brake pads. According to my car's monitoring device, my front pads should have another 17k on them and the rear pads should have 45k. Needless to say, I declined to have them fix those issues and left...

My German car broke down in Manhattan at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon after driving into town from New Haven. I called AAA and they towed me here. I didn't like the looks of the place, but I really had no options other than pay to tow it home to CT, so I put my fate in Ronnie's hands. He wrote me a detailed estimate on the spot and required payment in advance in full, but promised me the car would be ready in 24 hrs, ON A SUNDAY. I've never paid for a repair in advance and didn't really believe the car would be ready the next day, and had little hope the job would be done well, but couldn't come up with another alternative. Ronnie proved me wrong on all counts. At 10 am the next morning he called to tell me he had all the parts, and that the repair was under way. I went to the shop to make sure things were going well and was encouraged to visit with the mechanic making my repairs (Louis). I was able to see the work being performed and personally inspect the old parts. The repair was finished before the end of the day, earlier than promised. I drove it home to CT and had my local mechanics (German car specialists) inspect the repairs and no problems were found. The only reasons for not giving 5 stars is I paid a premium, which I would expect; the fact that I was required to pay in advance; and the general poor appearance of the facilities. Other than that they were great. Repairs made were replacement of radiator, and related parts. Cost $1600 including tax.

I picked up my car and the floor mat has grease all over it and a cigarette butt—disgusting. After paying $1,000 you would think they would take better care of your car. Unacceptable. Every other place I’ve been puts a paper mat down, out of respect.

A one hour eta turned into a three hour wait for a tow thorough my insurance company. They wanted to charge me for a wench. On top of that they try to persuade you let them give a estimate to fix you car. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Soon as Tow truck driver arrived, demanded I tip first. OVERCHARGES. if you get car looked at and don't do work, you get billed for the hour of time. These CROOKS bill you for inspecting the car along with labor which was not told on the phone. 300 dollars in parts and 600 bucks for labor.. Customer service is TERRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE!! they will rob you!

Marduk Norfenshtakle

These people are shady, incompetent, and rude. They order and install the wrong parts on a regular basis (they did it to me and to another customer in the office with me), and their "repairs" are dangerously unprofessional. Their communication sucks and they have no problem telling you to go **** yourself, even when they're the ones who screwed up the job. After I had to get my car towed, they convinced me to use them instead of my dealer, then after they couldn't fix the car they told me I needed to go to the dealer. Still charged me. Absurd, ridiculous place. They'll tow you at 3AM, but make sure you have them bring your car somewhere else to fix it.

Steve Ceol

Unfortunately I ran into this company while being towed through AAA.It took them 2 hours to pick me up even though I was promised 60 minutes or less. The Tracker that AAA texted me to see their drivers arrival time did not work with their service which is no suprise. Every 20 minutes or so Jimmy from Zyppah aka the dispatcher would call me to tell me that it would be another 20 minutes . Very disappointing service.

My needed a new alternator and serpentine belt, my car was brought to this place on a Sunday night after it broke down and I called AAA for a tow. Monday morning 8 am I made them aware that I needed the car done by 1 pm so I would be able to go to work. By the afternoon they called me back and told me it would cost $750 for parts and service. I am not giving them one star for the price, I knew they would overcharge me but I needed my car for work so if I had to pay more to get my car done in time I'm not happy but ok. They basically charged me around $350 for the alternator(over priced), $100 for a serpentine belt(over priced), $100 for "checking my car", $100 for changing/ installing the alternator and another $100 for changing/ installing the serpentine belt. Then after all that my car was done by 4 pm, after work on my drive home my car started shaking violently under my car seat. The next day I took my car to my trusted mechanic that normally works on my car and he told me my antifreeze was leaking under my car. So not only did they over charge for the parts and service but now I have to pay to fix the leaking of my antifreeze. That is the reason I am giving them 1 star, I would give them 0 stars if possible. I would recommend NO ONE goes here.

Valentine Stewart

These guys are awesome the owner outstanding their workers fantastic I recommend whole heartedly my cable was gone the guys got the job done at a fair price no hidden fees and the coffee was good if ever in new York and you need help see them

I originally came to Goodyear Tire & Auto Care for a problem I was having with my fuel tank on my truck. They did a great job fixing the problem as well as answering my follow up concerns. I have since been back for some minor tire repair which they didn't even charge me to fix. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend.

Matthew Huynh

This place sells Tires, Engine and even more tune up items.

Tomas Bradbard

Was towed to this place 3 hours after breaking down near the WTC on Sunday. Wanted 950 for an alternator, belt, and battery (although battery is fine). Had to negotiate down to around 650 without battery after suggesting we'd go to another shop. To top it off they stole some items from my car including a gift card, phone charger, sunglasses, gift card, and all my change. Thankfully I won't be coming back to this place ever again and will not recommend it to anyone. It's a shame AAA is associated with them.

Daniel Abeles

THEY ARE CROOKS. They quoted me 5x the price for a part. Then I came to get my car back to take somewhere else and it didn't start at all. But it ran when it got here... There's a part of my engine sitting in my front seat. I DID NOT GIVE ANY OK TO REPAIR MY CAR (ESPECIALLY AT THAT PRICE)!! Now it won't start as I wait for a tow.... Curious. Think they may have purposely unplugged things to get back at me for figuring out that they tried to bilk me?!?!? CROOKS. NEVER GO HERE.
