I took my car for a wheel alignment n the price for the alignment would of been great had it been done. But then I was told that it needed a few repairs done before they were able to do the alignment n the price rocketed up to $800!!!! I will give them another chance considering the price for the alignment n their great customer service but for the repairs for my car i will go somewhere else where I'm being charged only $200 for the same job without the alignment.

WARNING I WENT HERE AND GOT ROBBED by the people at this place ! Went a couple weeks ago for an oil change which I was charged $70 for today I go to another shop to get a tune up and they asked when was the last time I got an oil change . I discovered that this place had never did the oil change on my car that they over charged $ 70 for! I felt so mad an taken advantage of. I don't know how a business can operate like this and be so foul as to STEAL from THEIR CUSTOMERS . The people that run this place are HORRIBLE people. I called them and let them know they should be ashamed of themselves.

Gave 1 star because there is no ZERO. Their prices have no connection to reality. I know there is an expectation to get a little ripped off by car repair shops but these guys are on a completely different planet. Check for yourself

WARNING TO ALL - DO NOT GO HERE. Everything about this place is not good. Unprofessional. Disrespectful. They close early and don't tell you. They'll talk about you in front of your face in other languages as if i didn't speak Spanish too. The mechanics are not there when you need them. You have to talk to specific people who are only there during odd hours of the day. What is going on here. This place should be closed. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am so frustrated with this location. This place is a scam. I will report this to place to NYC's BBB. Give this place 0 stars if possible. I am disgusted with how this place is. They did not do the paint job correctly. They did not repair things properly the first time. It appears to me they are doing this on purpose. They requested cash deposit up front which is extremely unusual. I could go on and on about the things i don't like about this place.

Outstanding service. I have used Devonshire for tires and servicing on my car. They are honest and reliable. I would truly recommend this business that has been around a very long time. The people that work their are courteous and efficient. Also, cheaper prices than the competitors in the neighborhood.

Scams they promise excellent service and once they got my keys and i sign for the inspection, they telling to sell me everything from tires to brakes. i refused to be decived and did not buy anything from they. they failled me for inspection, added a cost for oil servise which they did nothing, fraudulantly added the charges to the sign paper without my consent and demanded payment from me. Please do not use this place. manager do not respect customers. he was arguing with his mechanics calling them names and asking eme to pay for using the restroom.

We came up to Yonkers all the way from Manhattan to get our tires changed after looking forever to find a respectable and reliable tire/auto mechanic. "Haim" (I think that's the owner's name?) was courteous and efficient, and when we asked for an auto inspection they took care of that as well. We waited in the area for about 2 hours and when we came back it was all done. No frills and efficient - exactly what we wanted from a mechanic!

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! I went to Devonshire to get an inspection on March 29, 2018. This day it was not busy, there was two other people in the waiting room who's cars were being worked on. The guy took my keys and began the inspection. After sitting and waiting almost a hour and half and no one coming to say anything to me, just walking pass and continuing with what they were doing. I look out the window and saw my truck just sitting there. When I got up to ask the guys what was taking so long, one of the guys then tells me that I need shocks and tires in ordered to pass inspections. I knew this was a lie because I bought the car from a mechanic who took very good care of the truck, as it was his personal vehicle. When I called the mechanic I told him what was going on and he told me to get my car and come to him that place was trying to get my money. Devonshire refused to give me my keys, they wanted to keep my car in order to insure that I would come back. After arguing with the guy to get my keys I asked him what I would have to pay him in order to get my keys. He tells me $37.00 because I failed the inspection. They never showed me the print out stating that I failed the inspection. All he gave me was a receipt that shows I paid them the $37.00 and it says New York State Inspection. Due to the fact that I had to pay Devonshire the $37.00 I didn't have the money to pay for the inspection. I took the car to Bruces car care on April 8th, 2018 they did the inspection and showed me that I passed. When I asked about the need for shocks and tires they told me I didn't need them. This was not the first time I have had a problem with this place. The last time I thought of it as a mistake, but now I think he was trying to fool me then just because I am a young women and they think I don't know what I am talking about. October of 2017 I took my moms 2016 Kia Sportage to get an inspection. While doing the inspection they then told me that she needed her breaks changed. We didn't think anything of it because she may have needed them changed. So we let them change the brakes. When it came time to pay the guy tries to tell me that it would be $37.00 for the inspection, when i know it was $10.00. After arguing with him and him constantly telling me that he's just doing what the paper says, he eventually goes and gets the paper. When he returned with the paper he reluctantly advised me that I was correct, that the inspection was only $10.00.

I agree with the viewers on this panel. I have a 2003 Honda Civic Ex coupe. Now everything was fine with the car until it started overheating. My dad and I had no choice but to take the car to Devonshire because they were the closet location. The manager had mentioned to us that the car needed a new radiator and water pump. After they “tried” or replaced the radiator, the car overheated AGAIN! WTH! So my father had to call a tow truck to tow the damn car back to Devonshire! My father was LIVID and gave the manager a piece of his mind. They “fixed” the car again and the Civic broke down again! Now after that last incident occured with Devonshire. I had the car towed where our regular mechanic could really look at the Civic and find out what was going with our car. Found out, the car had numerous problems that Devonshire had caused and cost us ($2600)! My final point to this, avoid going there! I’m actually surprised Devonshire is still in business!? Best place to go is Bert’s AutoWorks in Elmsford, NY. Bert and his crew are very professional, honest and they help you with everything you need.

Went in for an inspection which was reasonably priced, I was greeted by a nice young man who was very informative and knowledgeable about all my concerns. They were helpful and speedy in the process which we can all appreciate, as a woman its nice to feel like someone is being honest and not trying to get you for your lack of knowledge. Thanks again Devonshire for great hospitality and service, will be back very soon!!!

I am actually amending my original rating. So, I realized one thing, Devonshire actually does look out for you. So trust if they're telling you something it is probably because you actually need it. I recently went in for an inspection and it would have cost me 37.00. I was told that I needed two tires in order to pass the inspection. 99.00 per tire. I opted not to get the tires, believing I would pass the inspection somewhere else. This was not so! Not only couldn't I pass the inspection, but the other places were going to charge me between 60-90 dollars more than Devonshire. I went back to Devonshire and got the tires and wasn't charged for a new inspection. Saving nearly 200 dollars. Save yourselves the headache people. They're not trying to scam you. If the owner tells you that you need something, you most certainly do need it and they'll give you a better price.

I always feel nervous going into a garage that I’m going to hear about all kinds of urgent and expensive repairs that my car desperately needs, and since I don’t have the expertise to evaluate I’ll be forced to make a decision based on trust. After coming to Devonshire a few times and hearing about little things I can do to avoid or postpone bigger jobs, I feel good making trust-based decisions. I’m sure there are loads of honest garages out there, but you never really know if you’ve come to one. Devonshire is such a place.

Their prices are not very low, but they get your car fixed. They are also generous if your repairs are expensive, so you may negotiate discounts. They also waive inspection failure fees if reasons are convincing. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone needing car repairs.

I am the owner of renaissance renovations in Riverdale NY and I have a small fleet of 6 vehicles. I have been bringing all of them for Devonshire Auto for the past 5 years and I highly recommend their work, honesty, pricing, quality and fast turnaround. it all works very well for me because it is crucial for my business that my vans are all on the road with minimum time at the service shop and the pricing of course. the shop is clean and the waiting area is top notch with A/C snacks and soda machines TV and comfortable sitting. I regularly recommend this business to everyone I know.

They took excellent care of my car and my nerves! My '10 Outback was overheating and I got a quote of $3,500. from another garage. I was told that I needed new gaskets, etc. From my first conversation with Bob there, I was reassured. He told me to come in for a free diagnosis. They determined that my thermostat was broken and probably also my water pump. They changed both, gave me the old parts to show me and my husband. Crossing fingers, but so far all is great. I was given a good price. I Googled the prices of this job and their price was under the typical charge. They listen and never tried to sell me anything else which is very important to us. Highly recommend!

You want HONEST and FRIENDLY people, this is not the place to go. I needed a new tire and I was in a hurry to get to work. The guys there quoted me a price (in which they said this is a cash only price) and asked me to leave my rim there while I went to work. Got back after work, they refused to put the wheel on which I had to do myself. The price they charged me was $50 bucks more than their online price on their website. So much for that "Cash Discount." Short Review: Do Not Go There!!!!!
