Cedar Crest Tire, despite the name, is for way more than just tire service! This is the only place I go to get my car worked on, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to work around your needs. I recently had the headlights and catalytic converter replaced on my 2005 Prius, and the costs were significantly lower there than at a generic chain garage. My car has run very smoothly since! I will definitely be going back the next time my car needs work.

Cedar Crest Tire Rescued Me On a cold morning, knowing little about a diesel engine, I added extra oil to my RV before letting the oil warm up. The dip stick showed 1 quart low. Driving West on I-40 my high oil pressure light started flashing. I wasn't familiar with the area and was unsure whether to keep going into Albuquerque or pull off ASAP. I pulled off at the Cedar Crest exit and thankfully found Cedar Crest Tire and Auto. I was promptly greeted by the manager and I explained the situation. He had two of the tech's drain oil out of my RV until the dip stick showed the proper oil level. They had me drive my RV about 10 miles to make sure the problem was solved. It was! All of this service was done at no charge. They sent me West with a smile on my face. I recommend this company. In my book, they are top notch!!

I am a local resident in the east mountains who for many years have been using Albuquerque auto mechanical shops for my vehicle to be serviced and for repairs. Once I realized that Cedar Crest Tire is also a full blown auto repair shop, I decided to take my vehicle there for a needed repair. They were friendly, professional and most of all HONEST! Since then, I have had other occasions where my Jeep needed additional repairs (it's an older vehicle) and decided to go back to Cedar Crest Tire and automotive. No regrets whatsoever! These folks are awesome!

These people "claim" they work on Jaguars. Had it towed in because it wouldn't start, they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Same day I was at work and it wouldn't start, so ANOTHER tow (NOT to them). My husband spent a very little time with it and figured out it was just some loose wires. They charged me $101!!!!! I want my money back so I can give it to my husband. Will never recommend them to anyone.

Honest first quality service! My wife and I are full-time RV and we’re staying at an RV park about 6 miles from their shop. They sent out a mobile tire tech within one hour of my call to replace two tires on the driver side of our fifth wheel that were badly worn down. It was great to find this family run business who not only did a great job, but did it at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

I got Flat tire on my motorcycle(ripped the inner tube). Despite not being set up for motorcycles, they helped me with tools and with the removal of the tire and tube. lucky I had an extra tube, they installed it and sent me in my way. They kick ass!

Excellent service! I couldn't be happier with the service and work I received. I needed two tires on my car and was looking for used tires because of the cheaper price. I was never hassled or pressured for new tires. The staff understood my need and happily put them on. The price was reasonable and the service time was perfect. I went in with my 5 year old and my 3 year old and they both received toys to pass the time. I will take my car back again for other repairs. .

Oh my goodness, this place and these people are AMAZING! My car broke down while road tripping cross country and as the closest shop to us off 40 we shuffled in hoping for trustworthy answers. The shop was closing for the day but they cheerily did a diagnostic, admitted it could be multiple things and asked if we wanted to leave the car safely in the garage all night. The receptionist called a hotel for us (!!!!), they shuttled us for free to the hotel and even waited while we checked in. They called as promised the next day and picked us up from the hotel when the car was ready. I can honestly say I've never left the mechanic spending as little money as I did, especially when the check engine light is on & blinking. Cedar Crest Tire treated us like family & I only wish they lived closer because there couldn't possibly be a better mechanic out there. Oh and, we made it all the way to Baltimore without another issue. Feeling blessed. Thanks!

I will never go back to them. Stripped 3 bolts in my vehicle didn't fix them or tell me. Installed gaskets incorrectly so that engine leaked oil. These people are not honest! Plus they charge 2x as much as other garages.

Amazing staff. Took my car in cause the ac wasn't working right and Tillery quoted me $3000 to fix it and Cedar Crest tire fixed it for under $200. They won't give you the run around and won't tell you things need to be replaced when they don't. Truly amazing business!!!!

Very polite and considerate of customers. Reasonable prices, not over charged. However, I'm puzzled as to why they were not able to find and repair a flat tire. They did the routine test , put air in it and said there was nothing wrong with it. They did not charge me for this. Mechanic reported I need a right wheel bearing replacement when another trusted mechanic said I need left one done. And so far, the car shows no symptons of needing either one replaced.

They patch runflats. Had a nail in my runflat and was a little nervous about jacking up a new corvette...requires jack pucks. They did a great job and quick. Price was more than reasonable. Saved me almost $400 as most shops will not patch a runflat and want to sell you the tire...even though tire maker says patching is ok.

During the Summer of 2015 -- I just wanted a front end alignment. That shouldn't be to hard to get. But one shop told me my front end parts were worn out, and after they replaced them they would give an alignment. Problem is, I had recently replaced all those parts and they were still in good condition. The other shop was BrakeMasters. They gave me a coupon for a 39 dollar front end alignment, but they had a requirement that they have to drive my auto around the block first. They don't have insurance to cover my vehicle in case of accident or damage, and I don't either. Plus, I'm not letting them drive my hot rod truck for a joy ride. They wouldn't even be able to figure out how to shift gears. Yet another shop would only give a 4 wheel alignment, and I don't need that. And still yet another shop told me my truck was too low. Each time I tried to get a front end alignment required I take off 3-4 hours from work. By the time I got to Cedar Crest Automotive, I was already an unhappy customer. But they gave my vehicle a perfectly good front end alignment with no hassle. I WISH I WOULD HAVE WENT TO CEDAR CREST AUTOMOTIVE FIRST !!

Holy Cow! AMAZING! I ordered a new inside rim for my dually, brought my truck in to get the new rim put on, change some tires around and the owner comes in and sits down to tell me I only have a small hole in my tire and that it can be fixed. He ordered my new rim last week. I asked “what about the rim”? He said he can send it back no problem! I was blown away! He could have just as easily done the job and said nothing. I was always treated very well here. And today was clearly no exception. Then to add to my experience Kevin (the owner) tosses my keys on the chair next to me and says “it’s all done, no charge”! I said “what”? He said you bought your tires here, tire repair is on the house”! I was ready for a 160.00 dollar charge. Folks, this place is worth the drive if you live outside of cedar crest as well. You’ll get treated really well there. I’m coming back for sure!

Having lived in 7 states and driven across half the country, I can tell you that Cedar Crest Tire is the fastest, friendliest, and most honest business I have ever done business with in the whole automotive industry. The Owner (Kevin) is extremely friendly, humble, and about as customer-oriented as a business owner can be. He goes above and beyond the normal business expectations to make things easy and convenient for customers. In my very trip to the shop, he made arrangements to drive my elderly mother and I home from the shop, *and* helped with the loading groceries we had in the car - I have never seen customer service taken to this level before. The Service Manager (Bill) is the single friendliest person in the automotive industry you will ever encounter. He always greets you with a smile, handles multiple tasks seemingly stress-free, and is always pleasant and happy to serve. My family physician's bedside manner isn't even equal to Bill's cheerful personality. Stephanie deserves mention here too, she will greet you with the same friendliness and level of attention, and see to it that your situation is handled smoothly. I'm very late in writing this review, but it is well-deserved. I lived in the Cedar Crest area for over two years, and would never even consider bringing my car(s) anywhere else for service - even if it was unrelated to tire repair. The honesty and integrity that Kevin, Bill and the folks at Cedar Crest Tire live by is second to none, and quite honestly not something you encounter very often in the repair world. Even when I told them it was "no hurry", I had my car back pretty quickly, and there were never any integrity issues involving the labor or the cost. If money were no object (wouldn't that be nice for us all?), I'd have my car shipped back across 5 states have it serviced *there* any time I had a problem. They've earned my respect for life. If you're anywhere even remotely close to Cedar Crest/Edgewood/Tijeras, you should go check them out, it's totally worth it. These folks are *that good*. I wish every business I dealt with in life was like Cedar Crest Tire!

These folks are a RARE find in the world of auto mechanics. I was having a recurring 4ignition problem with my Ford Triton engine and had most recently spent significant time and money trying to correct that problem. I decided to avoid further work with the Ford dealership and try local. I explained my problem to the service writer who was both friendly and informative, stating clearly what analysis they would do and the related cost. Prior to completing any repairs they called me, appraised me of what they had found, what would be required to repair the problem, what it would cost and when I could expect the work to be completed. Upon learning that I had no ride to their shop they sent a car to pick me up. The final cost was exactly as previously quoted, tax included. No add-ons, misc. items, etc. I must add that I had a quote from a Ford dealership that included the identical items of work Cedar Tire completed. Ford was 40% more (and there would have been add-ons).

Busy shop, for good reasons apparently, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They're getting any tire business I can come up with. Told my co-workers about it. Legit.

I came in on the very day I needed to leave on a long trip to observe the Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 because my 12V adapter was not working. This meant that I couldn't use my GPS to pinpoint my location along the centerline if the eclipse and couldn't charge my cell phone, both being essential for my 700mi trip to Wyoming. I thought it might be a fuse issue, and Lorenzo very quickly determined that it was... but replacing it was so quick that he refused any charge. His boss, the owner, just told me to give Lorenzo a tip if I insisted on paying. He said, 'we just hope that you come back when you need something else '. Well, you bet I will!

I am shocked and disappointed that any a local merchant would take advantage of the good people who support them here in Cedar Crest! I have never had it happen until today! I called Cedar Crest Tire last Thursday (actually twice) and talked to Bill, and later, Riley about my little Ford Ranger not starting. I explained we tested the alternator and it was good and had installed a new battery, which also tested good. Cables looked fine and were tight. So we narrowed the problem to maybe a starter or solenoid. I asked for a phone estimate (a price range) to replace it. The part was $20+ and labor was $40+ so count on about $60-70 ttl. I was fine with that and agreed to drop the truck off over the weekend. I left my info and key in drop box. Today, Monday, I waited until after noon, w/o receiving a call, and decided to check in by phone. Cindy told me they had done the diagnostic work and the bill was a little over $150! I said wow, STOP. What was wrong? She told me the battery cables had to be replaced. OK. I asked, "Then, why is he bill was so high"? Seems they did a $100 diagnostic test on the truck (of which I was not given a copy or the results) so they could find the problem quickly. I explained, "I did not agree to that kind of test and no one has called to ask my permission to run it. In fact, no one has called at all yet and the truck is finished and ready for pick up?" Bill apologized and said we could split the difference on the test but he had to pay the tech. Again, I reminded him I had talked to both he and Riley and no one told me about the test! He said it was all he could do. Negotiations were going nowhere. We settled on $100!! \ When I pick up the Ranger, I paid the bill which totaled $105.95 (Description; Battery Terminal Top Post 2 @ 2.50 ea=$5 ttl for parts). Evidently, the cables did not need to be replaced either, only the terminal posts. HAS ANYONE EVER PAID $100 FOR 2 BATTERY CONNECTORS??? I always knew Cedar Crest Tire was more expensive than most mechanics. I got scammed 2 years ago on the air coolant check! But, they were convenient, so I justified that two hundred. But, $100 replacement posts!!! Plus, the cables were NOT replaced!!! This is off the chart! I will not use this company again and strongly advise you do not either. Tony in Edgewood is an awesome mechanic and fair.

I recently moved to the east mountains, and when I had a tire that needed repairing I wanted to shop local and avoid driving into town on a sketchy tire. I looked up the two auto shops nearby, and these guys not only had good reviews, but were the only ones open on a Saturday. I was on a tight schedule and they accommodated me without issue. Not only that, I left only 20 bucks lighter than when I drove in. Quick, friendly service at this family-owned shop is what's got me hooked as a local customer from now on.

Aweful experience. Was qouted over the phone for a $25 tire including the mount unto a rim detached from my car and some tax. Then they treated me as if I had no idea what I was talking about when I tried asking for information about the tire and how many ply the sidewalls have. "Ma'am you're getting a used tire.." Okay? But that doesnt answer my question? Then told its not a common thing for that size tire to have more than one ply, but my car has double ply road huggers... then we get there and again, they say just $25. We get our tire and all of a sudden its $35?! And we're told if you dont want to pay it we'll just take it off. Incredibly rude and demeaning people.
