Had a tire blow on our 5th wheel about 30 minutes out of Gallup on day 2 of our 2 week vacation. Got in about an hour before the shop closed and got brand new tires all the way around. Staff was Extremely helpful, even bumped us to the front of the line, knowing we had 3 more hours of travel time before our next stop! Got all 6 tires changed in 1 1/2 hours!

I bought 4 tires from this business back in February and an alignment. The customer service is amazing and they get things done in a timely manner. I took my car back yesterday for it's rotation and balance, I only spent 30 minutes and it was complete. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car!

My wife and I are driving cross country, which started in Syracuse, NY, took us across northern US and southern Canada, then down the west coast, now heading east through the SW back home. We developed a thumping and rumbling going through the desert. We stopped in Gallup at A-J Tires. Buck, the owner took personal responsibility to diagnose the problem in separated belts due to the wrong load range tires being onstalled by the dealer in Syracuse, and obtaining the correct ones from his warehouse in Albuquerque, having them installed and getting back on the road, all at a reasonable price. Great service to a customer he will probably never see again

After calling them to get information on the price of mounting and balancing a set of new tires on my car I decided to go there based on the good reviews I saw here on Google. The service took about 1 hour and a half. When my car was ready I noticed they, without my permission, moved my front tires to the back and the back to the front. I asked them why they did this and their reason was that the wider tires belong in the back. They didn't know that a Pontiac GXP has two different tire sizes for the front and rear. The front tires are wider for better control, as it's a v8 front wheel drive. I told them I wanted the problem to be fixed and tires back to their original position. The tire tech continued to try and convince me that that's how the tires are supposed to be and even told me that's how the car came in, admitting no fault, until I had to keep repeating to him that's not how the tires were when I brought my car to their shop. After our back and forth I was told to sit and wait for a manager to speak with. I never got to speak to the manager. After about 15 mintues the same tire tech came back and reluctantly agreed to have my tires switched front to back, back to front. When I got my car back, wheels where they're supposed to be, I got no apologies for the time wasted there or for their mistake, just a "well you learn something new everyday." from the tire tech. You'd think mounting tires would be easy and hassle free for these "Tire Pros" but my experience there proved otherwise. I'd check around for other tire shops before I'd go to this one if I were you.

On March 14, 2016, we were on a trip in our motorhome from Redlands Ca. to Norfolk Va. Just east of Gallup Nm, our right inside dual blew. We called AAA and they came and put on our spare tire. We turned around and headed back to Gallup in search of a tire store. We found A J tires and pulled in around 5:15 pm. We noticed that they closed at 5, but they were still there and they said they would be happy to help us. I told them that I did not trust the other tires as they were all about the same age. I told them I wanted 7 new tires, including the spare. They had the tires in the correct size and by 6:15 pm , we were on the road again. The entire staff was extremely courteous and very helpful. They willingly stayed open until my problem was solved and I could not be more appreciative. I would highly recommend that anyone who needs tires anywhere near the Gallup area, should go to A J tires, as you will definitely not be disappointed..

I live in MN and due to a family emergency close family members had to hit the road on a 26 hour Drive to Phoenix, AZ. Just outside of Gallup, NM my family members' car got a flat while I was talking to them. I Googled for a tire shop. I called AJ Tire Pros to see if they could help my familly members even though closing time was minutes away. They stayed late and waited for my family. Got the struts replaced and alignment done.. for 1,500 but they have a payment plan as long as you have an active checking account with a down payment of 55. This kind of job requires a few hours say 6 hrs. Just so you don't wait all day .. Thanks A-J Tires great job

If you are having a vehicle crisis, this is the place! Our truck broke down near here while on our way back to Missouri and we landed here! While issues can be unpredictable at times having professionals doing the job helps ease the stress. Bill consistently kept informed re the statuses the truck. The mechanic, Todd, took the time to find the problem and to fix it. God always gives a lifeline and we are truly grateful to Cheryl and Bill for their human kindness and amazing staff! We were even shuttled to the local museum to explore a bit!

About 20 miles outside of Gallup, on Saturday of Memorial Weekend, we had a flat tire. Because our wheel lock key was missing, we had to be towed into Gallup. I called ahead to A-J Tires to see if they were open. They said yes and that they would find the tires and have them ready for us. When we finally arrived, they put their best crew to work to "break" the wheel locks. We have an Audi and they are very difficult to disable, but the team worked until they devised a way. They told us that they would be there until we were on the road. They were very kind and never made us feel that we were a bother. They only charged us an hour of labor even though it was significantly longer for them to get the wheels off. What could have been a very dire situation for us turned into a positive experience. We highly recommend them.

My rental car tire blew on I-40 Westbound 25 Miles from Gallup NM at around 6pm on March 12th. I Called Enterprise Roadside Assistantance. But the nearest Enterprise in Gallup was already closed. Was told to change the tire to the temporary tire but not drive faster or further than was feasible considering the location. I am a senior with disabilities and did not know if this was possible. Suddenly out of nowhere a young man approached my wife and Me and offered to change the tire. He said his name was John and he worked at a tire shop in Gallup and could help me get it fixed. The shop was closed but he ordered a replacement in case the tire was not repairable. After he changed the tire, we exchanged phone numbers, then he followed us to Gallup to make sure the donut tire made it and directed us to an area where we could find a hotel. In the morning he contacted me and gave me directions to the tire store. It turned out the tire was not repairable and the replacement was not on the truck. John drove to Grant NM to meet another driver from Albuquerque to pick up tire. The owner Buck, offered to me the use of his truck to pick up my wife and check out of the hotel. The Staff of A.J. Tires were the most helpful and caring people I have ever met. They went over and beyond to help me. I’d like to give them 10 Stars!

Went in with a one tire issue and came out ‘needing’ 4 tires for almost 1300 bucks.. 2 weeks later I have to buy 4 new tires because they sold us ones that are not rated for our 2500 Silverado! We are driving across country and while going through New Mexico our air conditioning was failing and the temperature was 112 degrees. The three unhappy cats we were carrying were begging us… Pep Boys wasn’t able to give a diagnostic because their tech was at lunch and had one customer pending. I did a Google search and A-J came up. I called and they said to come on over and they would check it out. 20 minutes later the gentleman (sorry, forgot name) test drove it and hooked it up for testing. He was very personable and even considered parking in the shade to keep cats from heating up, etc. Compressor was going bad… A-J hooked us up and we were back on the road in about 90 minutes. The expense was nominal and the service was the best. I wish you guys great success!

Exceptional service! I was passing through town on the way to San Diego from Colorado, and my tire started going flat just outside of town. I pulled in to AJ just as it was pretty much flat. Even though they couldn't help me themselves, they called several different tire shops to find out who had what I needed, then they put my spare tire on for me, and gave me directions to the other shop. All without me asking them to do any of this, and they didn't charge me anything. Thank you for going the extra mile to make my day a little easier!

My low tire pressure light came on. Did a visual check could tell one tire was lower than the rest, got some air in it, but wanted to know why, nail? Cut? I have full warranty on them, but closest franchise is in Albuquerque. Any way nothing wrong with tires except that they were all low. Tech explained how the system works. Brought them all up to spec. They didn't charge me. Very professional, but warm and friendly! Will be going back if I need tire service. And they were giving gifts!
