I'm writing this review mostly in response to the one left by Teresa, but also in response to the one or two left by an unnamed reviewer from 5 years ago. I've been going to Don's Used Tires for over 10 years and three or four vehicles. I'm a woman and they have never treated me any differently from the men I've seen patronize their business. They ask me what I need or want and try their damnedest to get it for me. The few times I've gone away disappointed is because the size tire I needed wasn't available in the used section. I think the difference might be in the customer. I've always treated sales/service people like they are doing me a favor, instead of the old adage that the customer is "always right" even if they are rude or can't be bothered to listen. I don't have a receipt in front of me (I hope to change that shortly) but, if I recall correctly there is some sort of caveat stamped on it regarding the time involved. If you've never been to Don's Used Tires, don't worry. You will be treated fairly and as quickly as they can manage.

I'm not sure who the other lady reviewer dealt with, but I've never had a single problem. Fast service, good work, friendly staff. You can't beat the prices either.

If they suggest something it's not to boost the sell, it's because they listen to your needs and give you the best bang for your buck! The guy with the brace is super funny and very helpful. I'm sure the rest of the staff is but he is the only one I've deleted with personally both times I went there. They do lay way plans which I needed.... I will all ways suggest them and any tire needs will be met by them. Thanks to my mechanic BOB for suggesting them!!!

I've used Don's and never really had a bad experience before. The last time I went though I parked my car by the garage and an employee showed me where to select my tires. I had just selected the tires I wanted and I was asked to move my vehicle. I moved it and they allowed someone else to more or less cut the line in front of me. I wasn't too happy about it and sat in my car for a minute debating if I should stay or go. I jumped on my phone and noticed that Sams Club had brand new Goodyear tires for only about $15 more than what I was going to pay for used tires at Don's. Plus lifetime flat repair on the tires. So I left. Don't know that I will be back again. I thought it was rather rude to make me pull out of the garage without at least the courtesy of giving me an explanation.

I purchase a tire for what I thought was going to be $46 and ended up paying $68.02!! I called to complain after looking at my bank account as I gave my card to my boyfriend to pay. I was told I should've been told about all the 'extra' charges up front which I was NOT or I would've bought a new tire for that price. Turns out the tire is guaranteed ONLY for 7 days!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!! They are out for themselves - not good business practices. Going forward - Lost my business.

I have been going to Don's for a bout 4 years now. I originally found them when I was in a jam and needed a used tire bad on a Saturday. I walked in they pointed me towards the used tires and within a half hour of walking into their store I was driving away with two used tires for what I was expecting to pay for one (I actually did need two tires). I have purchased several excellent used tires from Don's since first going there in 2009 for a tire repair. When going in for a repair, they have always been prompt, courteous, and done an excellent job of getting me back on the road. In 2011 I was selling a small truck with very poor tires, after going in they set me up with a great set of matching used tires for about what one new tire would have cost me. This small detail likely got me several hundred dollars more for that vehicle. Last summer I needed a couple of used tires for my truck, I was in and out with two great used tires in less than an hour for a great price. This week I scored a set of Goodyear Wranglers and needed them mounted on my truck. I came in the day before a huge winter storm, and they were swamped. The guys were busier than a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest, but they were knocking jobs out and selling tires left and right. I had to wait a bit, understandably as you want to service the customer buying product from you first, but when they got me in the dismounted, remounted and balanced everything in less than 45 minutes! This is taking eight tires off of wheels (and not banging up or scratching the wheels either) then remounting the four new tires onto my wheels, balancing them, and mounting the wheels to the vehicle and putting the other set of wheels in the back of my truck. I paid a fair price for this service, and all I had to do is back out of the shop. I will continue to see the guys at Don's for my tire needs, and I highly recommend them to my friends!

I am very disappointed in Don's. I bought a set of new tires on 4-14-17 and 2 of them I have already replaced. The person who sold me them did not bother to tell me that they were snow tires. When I asked how long the tires would last i was told at least 2 years. I would not recommendDon's to any one.

We end up taking our tire and rim somewhere else to get service and they made us aware that it wasn't balanced right and that they had many problems like this before that they would call over to Dons and we should too. So we did and Don said all he can do is rebalance it but why would we have it rebalance it when its already fixed by someone else already?

I was in with my daughter a couple days before, she needed new tires on her off-road rims that we had to take off and put the factory back on. Anyways while we were there I asked about her tire, 295/70/17 USED. Didnt have any. But did One kid said "we can get them new" they would be $200 a tire. Well, the owner "I think" big guy who is always there looks up and says, I do have a new 285/70/17 takes us back shows us. I said I will have to send my husband down cause I don't know all about tire numbers and what works. He says " you guys come down here all the time (which we do) I sell you them for $170 each that includes balanced and everything. Ok. Talk to my husband, yup that will work! So now were back to Christmas Eve. Call down, yup bring it down, will have it done before noon. They drop truck and rims off, come back, "big guy" says no lug nuts came with the rims. (Husband forgot them) are you paying cash or card? Cash! Well, I'll throw them in for free then. He told me a price stuck to it even though we forgot the lug nuts! My husband gave him a $40 tip. I CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW GREAT THIS PLACE IS!!!! Been going there for years, will definitely continue! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Thanks for being so great to us!

5/30/2012 Attempted to try another tire store since Dons was closed as it was a holiday. I learned the hard way. I will ONLY go to Dons from now on. Great customer service and treated with great respect, even as a woman ;) They were extremely fast and extremely affordable. If you are looking for a tire place, I would HIGHLY suggest Dons New and Used Tires on Cornhusker Hwy. Ive been going there for years and have never had one issue with them.Great job guys!!!

What a waste of time! Carried in a blown trailer tire and was told they had one and it was "no problem". After waiting more than 30 minutes with zero explanation I called Graham Tire. I grabbed my blown tire drove a 1,000 feet and saved $60! I was also in and out in under 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and don't get fooled into thinking these fools will save you money.

A little confusing and overwhelming at first glance but you go around the back and enter the doors and they have employees there that are extremely helpful and get write it down to it. I don't think I was in there longer than 15 minutes on a single tire change.
