TERRIBLE customer service my husband works out of state we took his truck in the brakes failed that's fine he said and I quote "I'll pass you after replacing the brakes" we went to his parents fixed them and stayed the night because they closed when he finished replacing them and we needed all this done so we went in as soon as he opened the next day the guy in the office was ABSOLUTELY rude as all belief refused to look at my husbands truck until 12:30 in the afternoon!!! I dont care who you are when you have NOBODY there and itll take you 5 seconds why wouldn't you just check the brakes when that's all that needed to be done?? I will NEVER recomend them to anyone after today!

They changed, I went there a few years ago and they were great. Courteous, well priced, and helpful. Now, I called to see if they would give this car a quick look over before I thought it. The first response was, "no, we don't do that because if something goes wrong afterward then we get blamed and it causes bad blood." Then, in the next breath said, "well you can if you want but it's $67." He was not nice about it either. So, I'm finding a new place to go.

I see a lot of good reviews here, and I am glad people have had positive experiences. I wish I could say mine was positive as well. I wanted to initially give them 1 star, but the majority of the staff were amazing to work with and very kind. So I want to be fair here. The owner was TERRIBLE. My visit with them came a while back, I did not want to post a review but after thinking about it for a while and coming across Sawyer by accident today online, I decided maybe I can prevent others from having bad experiences such as mine. It was time to renew the tags and get inspection on our family vehicle when I noticed the steering was whining. So I got a few quotes to get the steering rack replaced (their diagnosis). Sawyer was one of them, along with another in Republic, and one in Ozark where we get our inspections. I will say Sawyer was nearly identical as far as costs, they were actually a little less than the others. Seeing as how the vehicle was in Ozark at the time, as well as inspection station, AND DMV, i decided to pay a little extra and get it done in the same city and not drive as much without being up to date on tags either. Got it replaced at another shop that had great reviews just like Sawyer. 4.7 at the time or so. Afterwards we passed an inspection elsewhere and went to a tire shop and got tires. While close to republic we decided to get an alignment as well (an expensive week, and we were in the moving process too haha) We took the vehicle in, waited several hours with our kids, and then I was called into the work area by the owner and he wanted to tell me how something on the rack (he mentioned how new it was by the clean tags on it I guess) wasn't as tight as he likes his. Mentioned he prefers to torque down a little more than is rated, stretched bolts, safe than sorry etc etc.. And told me he would need to tighten this and replace both new tie rod ends before he could do the alignment.. I was surprised but said ok and that works. Instead of saying alright and then doing the work, he wanted to tell me how he sees I had someone else replace the rack he quoted me, and how you get what you pay for when you shop around (even though I paid more at the other place?) and that I am putting my family's lives in danger by not coming to him in the beginning and by trying to save money by having another shop do it... So I was a little irritated yes at this point and I said ok and walked off and he said "look at your kids' face over there, do you want to risk their lives for your own interests? Should have come here to begin with" should feel ashamed? Ashamed of what? that I paid good money to a reputable shop to get our car taken care of for my family in the first place?? ... So not happily we waited a while longer still and he comes in and says he aligned it as best he could but he can only do so much with the rack and job the other shop did. The alignment was terrible. It pulled even worse but in the other direction now. I get in and there is sludge in the seat and grease on the steering wheel and a piece of our interior was broken (which I have photos of), which he disputed with me afterwards. Later that day at another store he is there and he CONTINUES ON ME IN THE STORE OFF THE CLOCK. So I decided to get a second opinion on the alignment... Third shop trip. Not to advertise for other shop out of respect for Sawyer here (I can tell you it is on the other side of the road), but I took it in there and 30 minutes we were done. They were very respectful to me and of the Sawyer owner but said that the tie rod ends were too tight and one had the boot ripped he showed me and replaced it and loosened the other one to torque specs on a sheet he showed me. He said he didn't know why could not be aligned completely but that would normally mean a part needs replaced And that is probably what Sawyer owner was thinking too... But found out there was NOTHING wrong with it, he had it aligned in 30 and it still driving BEAUTIFULLY. Maybe Sawyer owner was right, maybe 1st shop messed up, maybe he was having a bad day idk

Incredible service! I had a flat tire at I-44 and James River freeway just before 5 o'clock on a Friday. I was able to get in touch with them and speak with Wade just a few minutes before they closed. Wade kept the shop open until I arrived about 15 minutes later. They were able to replace my flat tire and get me back out on the road in about 30 minutes. Their prices are very reasonable and I'm planning to return to Sawyer Tire in Republic even though I live about 45 minutes away in Ozark. They just earned themselves a lifetime customer.

I feel like they have my best interest at heart and do not try to upsale me on items which I don't need right now. They are always courteous and informative about what is required and look for ways to help save me money. I will be a loyal customer of theirs for some time.

We have been going to Sawyer tires for our tire needs for many years. We enjoyed going to them when a different employee worked the front counter. He was friendly, kind, and a pleasure to be around. We trusted that we were getting the best deal too. He left when they went under new ownership. Since then, every time we go in there, the Nathan, at the desk is a grump. Today, was no different. Today, I took my car up to have the air conditioning recharged, after having a new compressor installed a month ago. When I picked it up, Nathan said that the compressor is old, making noise, and will need to replace soon. However, they charged it up anyway, and it's working at this moment. - If they thought that it was a bad part, why are they charging me money to add to recharge it? Are they hoping to get paid twice for it? When I said that it was a new part a month ago, he rolled his eyes at me, and started talking. The manager, made him stop talking. Needless to say, Nathan was in full form today. When I dropped the car off, he was so rude, rolled his eyes at me 3 times, even when I tried to just give him my name. Clearly, he hates his job, and hates working with people. There was another customer that he sent on his way, and said none of his stores could help him. I went home, and waited 2 hours, thinking of how unprofessional he was. When I tried to call to see if my car was done, he didnt answer the phone. It just rang and rang. I tried calling a few times. When he finally did answer the phone, it went right to music. I was on hold, long enough to get a ride, drive up there and stand in their lobby. At this point, after fuming about the poor treatment, I was furious. The manger was nice, I think he new that his employee, Nathan was causing issues to escalate, because he couldn't shut up and stop interrupting. The assistant manager did offer to not have me pay, since I had had such a horrible experience. Which was nice of him, and he did not need to it. Nathan has never smiled all the times I've been in. He has got to have the rudest personality and should not be in customer service. I was told that I should find a new place to take my car. I guess it's a good thing that there are 6+ other places in Republic I can go. When I told them that I usually go to Yocum Automotive, Nathan replied, "good, never come back." I asked if this was a locally owned shop. Apparently, they are run by a company in New York. It's to bad that his bad attitude just lost a family of at least 5 drivers and thousands of dollars for his buisness. On top of that, I had an appointment to get my hair done at an awesome place, right after this happened. Now, all 10 of those ladies heard this story. Rude people don't realize that word of mouth, is the best, or worse advertising they can get.

I had my car towed to the shop at 10am, with the understanding that my car would be worked on as soon as it arrived, atleast thats what i was told over the phone. I understand, there was probably other patrons ahead of me but i had to walk almost a mile in a storm to come pickup my car at 1:00pm. Just to be told they hadn't started yet and it would take about 50 minutes for two tires to be changed.

I had 3 different quotes and then I decided to try a shop outside of Springfield. Surprisingly labor was cheaper than what I was quoted anywhere else. Been to many automotive shops over the years, and they’ve made me jaded about getting ripped off. Thought I’d try out Sawyer tire.and from the first day I was impressed. First impressions mean a lot and I first met with store manager Nathan Brooks. This guy seemed honest, professional and within a day earned my trust. Actually the whole staff is friendly and treats as if you’re not just a number. Last point and reason I would trust no-one else to repair my car is, my brother took his 2000 Grand Cherokee to a shop he’s been going to for a while. On two instances his shop has quoted him high priced repairs. I took his Cherokee to Sawyer and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Again, they have earned my trust and I ‘m a skeptic.
