This Tires belongs to the category of Tire shop.
Excellent sales and service. Ms Jo at the front desk very helpful and the service techs had my car ready sooner than expected. The price was less than quoted
Stupid place, never going again. if any negative points available, i will definitely do that. This is my first story. Once i can't scroll down my window, they told me it is going to be replacing the motor and these belt thing in my door and charge almost 400. But i can still hear the sound of my motor working, so had it checked again in another place. Ha, 150 for every thing! Just replaced the support or belt. Goodyear actually charged me for the 10 mins stupid inspection and the report was wrong!! I know they want to make $, but DO NOT lie to your customer!! Let your customer decide if to replace or not.
I was told my tires was on sale for around $500 plus taxes but they didn't have them in stock. The tires would be in the following weekend. She wrote the price and all tire info down for me to show when I came back. When I came back the following weekend I was told they had the tires I gave the paper with all the tire info and price to the older man and he said they would take care of everything. Once they finished I was called and my bill was over $700. The gave me different tires that cost more and all of a sudden my paper I gave him with the previous tire and price was missing. They refused to fix the problem he told me "HE THOUGHT I WANTED THEM" I feel they take advantage of certain people .
I have been using this Goodyear store for many, many years. Everyone is always very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. From the wonderful office staff to the mechanics, I thank you for always taking care of me!! Great folks...Check them out!!
They charged me $11 to tighten a screw that took 30 sec. and they were rude about it, do not go here they are careless. Ray Bros. and Oxford Auto Care are much better, with nicer and more knowledgable people
Took my car in for an alignment. They claimed it needed 3 new tires. Funny thing is, I took my car there right after picking it up from another tire store who had just told me the three tires were just fine and had plenty of life left in them. To top it off, they charged me a rack fee. Also, they are not actually a Goodyear shop even though it is decorated to look like one.
The owner, Steve, was extremely rude and defensive. He actually cussed at me on the phone when I was trying to understand why they charged my daughter 70.00 to look at why her check engine light was on without explaining what the charge would be first. We were a return customer just spent over $500 there a couple weeks prior. Will NEVER go back here again. They don't value their customers at all. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I had work done here that cost me over $430. They did a tune up and change the thermostat. I was not on the road more than an hour till the check engine light came on. Running to lean is the code. I went to have it check at my local dealer and they want to charge me for another diagnostic which I had already overpaid for the first time. Some place wave the diagnostic fee if you have the work done, but not Good Year. I will never use them again. very poor workmanship, very poor quality. I would go somewhere else.
Here is a well though out analysis of the difficulty in finding a good mechanic - All mechanic shops have incentive to sell you parts and service. More business means more money. Some shops are more objective when they are giving you information on the health of your vehicle, while others may be more concerned about sales. For example, let's say you have the same car with the exact same 80% worn brake pads, and you are going in for a tire rotation (they will likely see your rotors and brake pads when doing the rotation). Shop #1 will see the brake pads are older and pretty worn, write up a bill on a clipboard, and come sit down by you in the waiting room to comfort you and bring you the bad news that you need new brake pads because yours are very worn. You will feel pressured to say "ok" and sign off on it. Sales oriented environment. On the plus side you have new brake pads, but you didn't really have to get them right away. They had some time left on them. Shop#2 will look at the same brake pads, finish the tire rotation, and as you pay for the tire rotation, inform you that the brake pads are getting pretty worn but still have at least a few thousand miles left on them, depending on how you drive. If you want to change them out now they will be glad to do it, but they are still functioning well now even though they are nearing the end of their wear. Purely objective information. I would be likely to say University is more like shop#1. On the plus side, they seem to do good work, and they have always been fast with me. I just tend to get a lot of bad news and tend to spend more money when I go there. I either leave there feeling screwed or feeling like my truck is badly taken care of.
The people at Good Year were extremely helpful when I got something stuck in my tire because of the construction in Oxford.
Very disappointed in their customer service and professionalism. Installed 2 tires on my vehicle INSIDE OUT and the manager refused to fix the problem, claiming that I couldn't prove I didn't "switch them to be that way". One of the craziest things I've heard. Extremely disappointed with the incorrectly done work, but even more so the lack of professionalism shown toward myself as a customer.
I've had two parts replaced at Goodyear that I'm now having to replace at another mechanic. One part was replaced about 10 months ago and one part was replaced about a week ago. They also informed me that nothing was wrong when I called them to let them know that I was broken down on the side of the interstate two hours away from Oxford. My car had been in their possession for the past three weeks when this happened. A few days of that three weeks was because they forgot to call me and let me know it was ready. All in all, the worst experience I've ever had.
Depending on who waits on you whether or not they will be nice. They are pretty expensive on both tires and repairs. There are better choices.
They aligned the front end of my truck. Afterwards I had to purchase three tires within six weeks. Called, they stated they would not cover the alignment on the warranty I paid for. High priced, poor workmanship, worthless warranty. Go anywhere else.
Always do a great job. Love them
Great place to get most of your engine, tire questions/ problems answered and fixed. Amazing staff!
Will check all safety features to assure smooth operation of the vehicle.
I was treated respectfully, they are informative and patient, most importantly - honest. This is the first time I've heard, "You don't need to fix that right now, it can wait". Also a first for me to double check prices elsewhere and find out I got the best deal around. After driving away the last time I actually thought, "I wish I did need that repair, because they deserve the money". Can't say enough about these guys. Been with them for a year and refuse to go anywhere else.
They were very friendly and professional and gave superb service!!
Great Job. I had an alignment done here. I was treated very nice. The customer service was excellent and my car runs fantastic. The charge was more than fair. Thank you University Goodyear!
Took over an hour and a half to get an over-priced oil change. Will not be returning and would not recommend them.
Paid a lot of money for a major service. Not even a year later and while the service was still under warranty, I began having problems again. Went to two service shops, including another Goodyear, who told me it was a bad repair job. Called corporate and two other Goodyears who were both afraid to fix what this center did not do correctly. Unfortunately I just had to pay 900 to have the same repair completed again.
AWFUL only because they always close an hour or more before they're supposed to be closed. Tried to go there twice and they were already closed both times.
Finding a good mechanic is always tough, but save yourself some time and look elsewhere. Brought my car in this morning to have routine maintenance. Upon dropping it off, I had a bumper sticker for a presidential candidate on the back of my car (my friend who picked me up confirmed that the sticker was there.) When I picked it up, I immediately noticed the sticker gone. I went inside and politely told the manager that, "I don't care that it's gone and it was only a $2 sticker, but you should know that it was there this morning and it's gone now." His response was, "We didn't take the sticker off your car." Word of advice University Tires: if someone comes into your store and isn't looking for any kind of handout AND has proof that your shop altered the car's aesthetic, you should probably just own up to it and try to rectify the problem with your staff. In addition to that, they were suppose to repair my headlight and failed to do a blinker check after they did, so I had to return to the shop to have the blinker replaced. And as I was pulling out of the shop, my check engine light came on. This place needs a reality check, and Goodyear should honestly consider sending down a representative to check on their franchise.
Went in for an oil change and had my car back in about 15 minutes. Customer service makes it feel like a "mom and pops" type shop. Excellent work!
Great work great prices great people
They corrected a mistake made by a previous mechanic, and they were very nice and friendly - esp the lady at the front counter. Will definitely be going back. Their service is better than Gateway (and faster).
I had a lot of front end work done by them and they didn't even put grease in the ball joints. They will find something wrong with your vehicle that needs to be repaired right then. Saying I would recommend that you don't drive it until this is corrected.
2 hours for an synthetic oil change when there was only 2 other cars on the lift... another person came in 30 minutes later for a regular oil change and got done before me
Answered all my phone calls and questions and when I went in front was quick and thorough! In and out for my complete oil change in 30 mins! Great service.
Great service!! Quick and professional.
After fixing my car, the same tithing broke. 3 weeks later. They will scam you. DO NOT go there.
Was greeted by a really friendly lady with a smile. Was very helpful. Will be going back when I need service again!
Fixed my tire by patching it. I asked them to fill my spare up while I was there. I drove the car less than a quarter mile home and parked the car in my garage. The next morning the tire was flat. I went to put the spare on and it was flat. I got to the store in another car and was told it was my fault that the tire had gone flat and that it was now a hole on the sidewall and that I would need to purchase new tire. I think this business is too busy to really care about service. There was not attempt to take any responsibility or to empathize with what happened. My sense is they could care less if I came or not so I'm not.
Always extremely friendly service and they help you out when you're in a pinch. They're super quick and always meet the deadline they give you. Good honest folk here.
