I was on the road for a seven hour trip back to Iowa from Bemidji, MN and I had truck issues. I called Mills Auto and explained situation, they said if I was able to make it to them that they would work me into their schedule on that same day, which they usually dont do. I told him I wanted to think about it he said then the car won't be available if I leave. So I left. High pressure sales. Can't stand that won't be back. Go to Mills Ford way less pressure .

I came in with a 2009 Acadia that had a transmission out of it. We had purchased the vehicle along with 4 other vehicles at this dealership and had been satisfied with the service we had received prior to this experience. The Acadia had 136,000 miles on it which made us already question the quality of the vehicle considering it was mostly road miles and very minimum light trailering use. We were considering trading this vehicle off depending on the trade in amount we would receive for this vehicle. While conversing about this option with Brainer Mills GM, we felt caught between the service department people telling us one thing and the sales department telling us something different. It seemed that there was a communication issue between these two departments and it was a very uncomfortable situation. I am not sure if this is an issue with this particular business or something that is a bigger problem higher up in the GM corporation. Either way, the final offer that we were given for a trade in, as well as the way the whole business was conducted, was not a pleasant experience. It made my husband and I really question not only the dependability of the vehicle but also of this particular business and the GM corporation as a whole. Since this experience we have become aware of several friends who also had issues with Acadia transmissions, that had far less miles on the cars, going out. There are many others who have blogged about similar problems with the GM Acadia. Makes me strongly wonder about GM's customer satisfaction policy and if indeed the focus is more on profit and less about standing behind the products they make.

My husband bought a truck from Mills GMA and would not budge on the price but offered a $200 credit for running boards. When we went to sign the paperwork everyone acted like we were nuts and kept passing the buck. We never dis get the credit and now the windshield is leaking... so disappointed. I would never ever buy from them again.

buyers beware!!! I bought a truck for $15,000 not even 2 weeks I notice it started to have problems so I took it into my local GM dealership they told me it was bad piston rings and it would cost $12,000 to fix. I called them to ask if they could help me and they said no. Now I have to pay 12,000 dollars to fix my truck. Thanks for selling me a truck that I can't even drive now. How low will you go just to make a quick buck? Now i'm selling everything I got just to fix my truck. ***Since I am unable to respond to your comment*** Last time I talked to your manager we asked him if he could find a LBZ7 engine that was rebuilt from GM. He said he would contact me when he finds one. That was OVER 2 months ago and I have not heard anything yet. I am willing to pull the truck up on a trailer and drive 3 hours for you to look at , but I need some sort of guarantee that you will help fix this problem with out it costing me additional THOUSANDS of dollars to fix it. Please fell free to call me so we can talk about this over the phone.

Mills GM and Mike in service were great. We have had the same emissions issue with our truck three times now (one time stranding the vehicle in Des Moines for a weekend) and no solution has worked. Mills was committed to finding a root cause so that we don't continue to incur costs and lost time on this recurring issue. They worked tireless for two weeks and provided a top-notch courtesy vehicle in the meantime. Despite direction from corporate, they kept working on the problem until they found a solution they believe addresses the issue. Thank you to Mills. On the other end, we are beyond frustrated with GM Corporate. We know three people with the same Duramax and every one of them has had nothing but issues. Clearly, GM did not get this engine figured out before releasing it. The emissions issues are ridiculous and consumers are paying the price. GM's answer to the issues (and direction to the dealers) is to run diagnostics to get the code to clear and then send it on it's way, without addressing a root issue. This leaves the consumer to incur the costs, lost time and frustration. This is our second issue with GM issues in three years. Previously we had a Chevy Equinox that had a known seal issue that GM chose not to recall, but is aware of the failure. We are done with Government Motors. Once we got our vehicle back from Mills, we traded it in for Dodge the next day. We will not be buying a GM product again, despite being GM/Chevy people for years.

Service department has gone to hell! Overbill for parts get quote on labor came back twice as much when vehicle was done, don't wash vehicles anymore after servicing. Disappointing. Mike Swanson is missed.

Poor service you bring your vehicle in for one thing then they can find all kinds of things wrong they fix what they say is wrong but not the original problem that you brought it in for. Brought my van in for oxygen sensors they put them in but then the computer said there was low voltage going to them, ( brought to another gare to find this out) call them an told them the person on the phone really didn't care never going back to them I recommend every one stay away from this business

When the 2nd question from the salesman is, "if it looks like a good deal, will you be buying today?"....it is a good warning sign. Tried to buy a car but the salesman kept pushing SUV's and trucks...i presume vehicles that have been on the lot too long. Mill's Ford and Mill's Honda have been great. Maybe Mill's GM is great too but the salesman i worked with did not seem to listen.

I was looking for a specific vehicle and could not find it online and the closest I could find to what I was looking for was at Mills in Baxter MN. I called and was referred to Troy Miller. A very pleasant and helpful man. He found what I wanted but had to get it from another dealer. Within a week I had my vehicle. The employees at Mills are very helpful and friendly. I called on a Monday to schedule an oil change for a Saturday. They said they don't make appointments for Saturdays, first come first serve type of day which is just fine... I called Saturday morning to see if they have loaner cars while they have my car. The lady said "well, what kind of car do you have" which struck me odd because why should that matter. I told her a 2013 Buick Verano and she said well all we'd have for you is a shuttle to your house. Well I made other arrangements. I got there and the service man told me the soonest he could get to my car was at the end of the day. Could they not have told me that when I called earlier... Very unprofessional and not good customer service.

I work in the auto industry, and I had alot of faith in dealerships. But it goes to show they also can not be trusted. When your told something, and there's no proof, then you should not assume that there is any level of trust. I was told new shocks were installed on a used vehicle I bought. I was also told that the compressor was in working condition. After my research I found a blown fuse and then an air compressor with a corroded hole in it. IT CAN NOT WORK IF IT'S NOT GETTING POWER.

All I can say is WOW! What a great buying experience! Being from the twin cities area, we visited over 10 dealerships around the cities. We couldn't really find exactly what we were looking for. Most of all, we couldn't find a salesperson or dealership that we were interested in buying from. Since we drive through the Baxter area a fair amount, we took a look at what dealerships in the area had. We found a vehicle at Mills GM that was pretty close to what we were looking for so inquired online. They responded VERY quickly and answered my questions and invited me up to take a drive. After meeting Brandon in person and experiencing exceptional customer service and welcoming smiles and greetings from everyone in this dealership, it was a no-brainer. Not to mention a great deal they offered. Mills GM will be our FIRST dealership we visit next time we need a vehicle.

I went to mills GM because I was told they were a respectable dealership and went through the extra steps to make sure their certified pre-owned vehicles were in good working condition. However, not even three weeks after purchasing a $13,000 vehicle from them, not only was the check engine light on but so was the service air bag light. The service airbag light ended up being the impact sensor , which they did replace. But the check engine light ended up being two different flags. The first was the fuel pressure sensor. a $40 sensor which they refused to replace unless I pay $400 because they would have to drop the gas tank. The second code was for the brake pedal position sensor which they wanted $75 to fix. but the funny thing about the brake sensor is that they admitted that it was a recurring code that flagged before. So they admitted to having prior knowledge of this code and clearing it and selling it anyway (whether they were hoping I wouldn't say anything because it was "AS IS" I can't tell you) And on the sheet their mechanics gave me it states that they disconnected the bad sensor and reconnected it. If my autistic daughter gets injured on the way to one of her doctor appointments a couple check engine lights will be the least of their worries. Mills GM is clearly not a respectable business and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My favorite thing is he always responds to my texts when I have questions or I can’t figure something out. I have had the car for three months and he still is there to help.
