Great folks. Honest and helpful. I love that one of the owners has the same name as I, but liking them sure goes beyond that. Besides the good paid work they've done for me, I can give two examples of times they've consulted or done work w/o a charge: Once I wanted to rotate my tires myself (hardly worth it) but could not get the lug nuts loose. I took the car up to then, and of course they had them loosened easily with air-tools. The nice part: no charge. Another time, I had read that there was no way to do rear alignment on my 2001 L200 Saturn. I went in and asked the man at the front counter about this. He took me back, and Tom showed me in his books the special shims he could order to do alignments. He'd done them before, they weren't quite as straight-forward as on some cars, but do-able and they'd done them. But -big part here- all that good information, and he also put my car up on the rack, and told me that this car (I'd bought used) had probably never had the tires rotated, and that most of the handling problems I had with it was "cupping" he showed me on the tires, and with new tires I'd probably be fine. Later I got 4 new tires (not there .. and that's really not to fair - hence this review instead of payment(?)) and that did fix the handling. That visit was also a "no-charge" situation. What a great place to go. Update 8/1/2014, they just did it again. We had a high estimate on AC work at another shop brought it here and they found that that other shop had wrecked the AC filler valve and was going to charge us to replace the hose and dryer. Instead hometown fixed the valve we didn't need a dryer and we were out the door for about 140 bucks instead of 275. Ka-ching, they do it again!

I’ve been using these guys for all my car stuff since bringing my car in with a transmission issue. They called me back 30 min after I dropped it off with the news that it was just a rusty shift cable, they removed it and buffed off the rust, greased it up and reinstalled and now it was functioning properly and the error was gone. They’ve always been upfront and honest with me and that’s worth a lot in my book.

My first oil change didn't give me a sheet of unasked for maintenance suggestions or even a check off sheet that all was fine. I got an oil change a yr later & this time asked if all was fine & learned that they did the normal fluid checks etc, nothing needed attn: I found this refreshing & when my car had stalling issues I called & they agreed to look at it right b4 close on a sat. Car tested needy of a 200$ job & they gave me the company car till Mon when they next had time to replace that part.Really nice treatment, I returned for a set of tires

You can buy tires cheaper elsewhere - like at the WalMart down the street - but if you want your money to go towards excellent service, a reliable and knowledgeable staff, and the comfort of knowing your repair was executed to the highest standard then come here. Initially, I looked for the cheapest available place to mount a set of tires only to find that those places had no matching sets. This lead me to Hometown, wherein they were able to provide me the tires that I wanted, mounted them in a shorter-than-anticpated timeline, gave me a donut that they brought in for their mechanics, and got me rolling right. I would go their 100 times out of 100, the service and quality of work was phenomenal.

Outstanding job!! I 1st heard of them by doing a simple oil change. They mailed me a few discounts and I was really short on money at the time, but I needed to replace all 4 wheels and one of the coupons has expired. I contacted them explaining that one of my coupons expired, and they were willing to help me out and still fulfill the coupon. After making an appointment, I mentioned that my blade whips needed to be changed. They offered to change them for me. The bottom lines is: Great prices, Nice people, good mechanics and they treat you like a person. So thank you to the man who was helping me, and thank you for the outstanding service!!

Brought our vehicle in to have the transmission looked at-needing a second opinion. The shop seemed short staffed, as things took awhile to be completed. Though they looked at the vehicle for free, the car was on their lot for a week and it took 6 days to get a quote for repair-their quote was much more expensive than AAMACO down the road.. I called numerous amounts for updates and this quote, as they would promise me an answer by "X days" but wouldn't have it ready by then. They were friendly, but I wouldn't bring my vehicle here if I wanted it completed in a timely manner.

My brother and I own Wells Bros. Landscaping Inc. and were in a pinch today when we blew a tire on our dump trailer while hauling a full load of dirt from a job site in St. Paul. We stopped in to ask if we could borrow a bottle jack to fix the tire. Rick gladly offered to help. When we pulled up our truck to load the jack the fuel pump finally went out. His pricing was better than the two other shops we talked too. He got our truck in within he hour and we were back on the road! He made our day. I would definitely recommend his shop to anyone.

One star was way too generous this place sucks they install parts and don't check to see if they're working properly last place I would go for anything I would rather have a crackhead install my stuff. It took them 5 hours to get a 2 hour job done and they didn't even do it right. Very upset.

I have gone here several times for tires and routine maintenance, and they have always been honest and fair in their dealings with me. I have been to nearly every auto repair place on Robert, and always end up coming back here. Someone commented they aren't trained mechanics, which I know nothing about, but I can say for all the normal things, ( exhaust, transmission flushes, oil changes, and brakes ect... I don't think they can be beat.

Hometown is the best place BY FAR to bring my vehicles to. They always have the best prices and excellent service! I was recommended through a family member and I have never been disappointed. I tell everyone I know to go there. Other shops find ways to add up the total cost, but Hometown always stays fair with me and never rips me off for add ons. No one likes to get their cars fixed, but with Hometown, you will suprised on how reasonable their prices are. Thanks a lot guys!

I stopped into Hometown Tire because it came HIGHLY recommended. I cannot not believe the service I was provided....IT WAS WAY past my expectations!! The gentleman at the front counter was very polite and introduced me to Rick (one of the owners). I explained my issues with my vehicle and he very kindly took care of me and my auto issue. I even got a loaner vehicle to use "FREE OF CHARGE". Could not believe it!! Overall, the best service and class i have ever experienced!! Definitely will be back!!
