Aside from the speed and quality of their work (which is remarkable), the best part about Dorchester Tire is that they come by honestly and make you feel valued as a customer. I've never felt like I've been upsold or hoodwinked. Their services are always fairly priced and they stand by their work. Between myself and my fiance, we've been to Dorchester Tire a half dozen times since we moved to the neighborhood a couple years ago and not once did we have a poor experience. These guys are always our first call when something goes wrong with our vehicles and I don't see that changing anytime soon. - they've earned our trust and loyalty.

I came across this establishment after leaving a prior business that appeared to be doing more than an inspection within the bay. This was my first time visiting Dorchester Tire and was easy to find. When I first walked in the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were professional and eager to assist me. Loved the customer waiting area as previously I would idle in a line for an inspection sticker. I only wish I knew Dorchester Tire was just a stone's throw away from where I usually have my inspections done. Even though it's just once a year, I have found the perfect place for the annual service that I need. I am impressed with how they inform you of an expected wait time. For example, a simple "there are two cars ahead of you" , gives you an idea of how long your wait may be. My inspection went smoothly and swift. While observing the establishment, I was also impressed with how clean (organized) the bays were for each service. I can actually see the floor! I would definitely recommend Dorchester Tire for inspection services, as at the time it was the only service I required.

Dorchester Tire has the best customer service that I have seen from any tire/auto service shop. I took my car there to get a tire patched up, they told me it was unsafe to remove the screw and patch up since the tire has many cracks in it and it was nearing 6 years old. They showed me the tire and I agreed with them, it was cracking and crumbling. Dropped my car off and partway through the process one of my wheel lug nuts were locked on tight. Pat called me up to inform me of the situation and what options I have in order to fix this problem. Long story short, Pat was informing me of everything they were trying in the safest way possible to make sure no further damage was to come from all this. Even though there were some unforeseen circumstances Pat and the people at Dorchester Tire were willing to take the time to fix my car. Not even some of my family friends mechanics would be this committed to fixing my car. So big shout out to Pat and Dorchester Tire for being more than a tire shop. They truly care about their customers and I am not the only one who agrees.

I brought my car in to have all four of my tires replaced back in the spring. They said the lugs were stripped from a previous mechanic doing work on the my car and my car had to stay over night so they could get the parts to fix it. I had to get a rent to car so I wouldn’t miss work. They didn’t fix the problem and I had to have it redone by someone more qualified. Buyer beware even with the nice guy running the front office. He is a sales man and will lie to you.

The customer service was courteous and professional. However, I was unaware that the change in tire size would throw off my spedometer, transmission and could eventually negatively affect the transfer case. These are crucial pieces of information I expected Dorchester Tire to inform me about upon purchasing and changing out the tires to brand new ones. I am a first-time car buyer and I have only had my brand new car for one year. Upon calling back about my concern with the tire difference, the sales associate was innocently unaware of what the tire size difference could do to my vehicle. I was overall concerned about my safety and longevity of my vehicle. My expectations for Dorchester Tire has somewhat lowered. I am a bit reluctant in returning back as a past customer.

Went in to get my brakes serviced (4 motors and brake pads + 1 new caliper) and the service itself was great and they were able to get me in on a very busy day, but they charged me $300 in mechanic labor fees for a job that took less than an hour, which seems pretty ridiculous.

Honest, friendly people. They were quick to help and came out right to my car when I arrived to check on my rim after a blown out tire on the highway. They told me that we were next and welcomed us to some delicious coffee while we wait. I honestly thought I annoyed them after calling three times after I found out the night before that my car was vandalized, but they still treated me like a first-class client. Were honest enough to tell me I didn’t need a new rim and didn’t trick me into buying anything I didn’t need. During these past several months, I thought my other tires were also bad so I almost considered replacing all of them, but they were again honest enough to tell me I had “plenty of life on my tires”. They charged me a tremendous price (good!) for both the new tire and the labor included to not only install, but also to rebalance my wheel after my rim took a beating. Price of everything combined is cheaper than the cost of a new tire at most places! These are good, honest people with great customer service, and I’m glad Dorchester has high-quality, friendly, yet modestly priced businesses like these, as a fairly new resident of Dorchester. It can get busy on Saturdays because of their great reputation, but they work fast! Cheap, reasonable prices and they knew my budget. Gave me affordable solutions to my problems knowing my fresh-out-of-college budget. Really good people. Definitely coming again sometime!

I needed my tire pressure sensor programmed went to 4 different shops with no success on my way home seen a friendly face at Dorchester tire so I stopped to chat for a bit. Afterwards went inside asked if they performed tire programming. Gentleman at counter promptly went outside with small machine tapped my tires and told me all set! When I asked him the price he charged me a handshake! I usually bypass big shops and dealers for fear of overpricing but these guys changed my mind. They just made a new customer. Thanks guys!

If you are a minority don’t bother going to this ignorant business. The services they offer a Caucasian customer is not the same the offer minorities. If you do not take their upsale they will say they cannot do your service and are all of a sudden too busy as they check in another customer. There are plenty of other businesses in Dorchester to give your money to.

The treat could be a bit more friendly. I felt like entering a fast food chain but for tires. I also felt the prices are not standard, they vary depending on how they feel your willingness to get the service during the call , but this is may not true, it just a feeling, even though I think it was a good price. I'm not an expert to evaluate the job so this may doesn't matter but the pressure of the new tire is higher than the rest, I guess they could leave all the same right pressure. After writing the review I got a call from them worried about my review and my perception about the service in order to improve.

I came here to get four, new, all season tires installed and everything went smoothly in that department but the guy at the desk came to me and said that my car needed four new brakes, pads + rotors, which he would install that day for about $800. I told him I was going to get a second opinion to which she replied he was a state inspector and he would definitely fail the vehicle in its current condition. I ended up bringing it elsewhere for a second opinion and to get an inspection. a second garage I brought it to check the tires off and told me if I wanted they would put all new brakes on it but that there was absolutely no reason to do so. He told me that there was minor rust on the rotors, which he could buff out, but the brakes were fine and definitely did not need to be replaced. Make sure you always get a second opinion when it comes to getting work done to your vehicle. So instead of spending 800 plus dollars it only cost me $45 for the inspection

Great experience. You can tell a lot about a place by how they handle small things. I had slow leaks in all my tires and also needed them re-balanced. Small stuff, but annoying and hard to get done well (especially the cleaning / sandblasting of the wheels and tire remounting). Super helpful and positive attitude, no eye rolling at small job, and no push on unneeded service. Nice tips on local eating spots, but I decided to hang in the pleasant waiting area for the hour it took to do it all. Perfect work, reasonable price...and free repair of a hole from nail in one tire I didn't even know about. Highly recommended.

The auto shop is first come first serve, no appointments but has very convenient hours of service. You can expect honest opinions from the mechanics as they will show you the damage and explain what needs to be done. Also, their service is far cheaper than the dealership with warranty on their work. I have taken my cars there twice for brakes.

They have multiple mechanics on hands so you don't have to wait too long for a simple service such as an inspection sticker. The first place told me I'd have to wait about an hour to get service. My girlfriend and I drove up from NY and experienced some car troubles that turned out to be mainly tire trouble. After getting a tip from another auto shop, we came to Dorchester Tire Service and these guys worked FAST: they got all the information from us and the car, found the perfect tire that we needed, and got us out in no time (all the while, we hung out inside and had some funny conversations about NY). If I could give -5 stars I would, Very unprofessional and irresponsible service, They f----- had forgotten to put the oil cap back on and that oil has spilled all over the engine. And trust me they do their best to get rid of you as quickly as possible, They just want your money. Woke up this morning to find I had a flat tire and for the life of me could not loosen the lug nuts. The local gas station with two auto bays couldn't be bothered with my business. As I was leaving the gas station, I walked past an employee of Dorchester Tire wearing a polo shirt with the company logo. Two minutes later I'm on my way to Dorchester Tire where I'm greeted within moments by Michael who is happy to help. I was quoted a wait time and they called me earlier than the estimated time to tell me they were able to repair my tire instead of a more expensive replacement. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle two employees helped me within moments and even moved a vehicle out of the way so I could get on my way quickly. I have worked with vehicles and dealt with repair shops for nearly two decades as part of my job. I couldn't have been more impressed with the service at Dorchester Tire. If you want an honest shop that does what they say they are going to do, take your vehicle to Dorchester Tire!

Management needs to instruct their employees that their behavior on the way to work reflects on the company. A skinny, bearded redhead wearing the company shirt and hat was watching videos on the Red Line with his phone's volume at full blast. All those around him were annoyed, but he was oblivious.

READ BEFORE USING THIS SHOP! No appointments. drop off either super early morning or leave overnight. Service Manager Mike Anderson's exact words: "I dont have time to tell you what brand brake parts we use, but they're better than factory parts. If that doesn't work for you I'll take it off the lift now and charge you $40". (1.5 minutes into our call) This is what he told me after I called to confirm the $778 price he told my wife it would cost to replace four rotors and brake pads. What he didnt know, was that while he was out his employee had put me on hold, called their vendor, and confirmed to me they use RAYBESTOS BRAKE PARTS. (sorry for throwing you under bus buddy) I call the local dealership and they are charging $919 and that's with REAL factory parts! Either the people who continue to come here only own one vehicle and rely on it to go to work, or they are just clueless. Cant say I didnt try to help them. I will gladly pay the $142 dollar difference for this work at the local dealership WHICH OFFERS APPOINTMENTS!!! Feel free to reach out DOT Tire. The wife and I have had plenty of work done here on each of our vehicles. Sad it took us this long to put this together.

Really friendly, helpful staff! Great vibe in this place. I was sold some expensive tires, pretty rapidly, and told there was only one tire option for my car. It was a swift and effective sales technique and I just wanted the work done so I can't fault the salesperson. I didn't push back. But I would advise you to ask more questions if you want to ensure you're getting the best deal. I was overall very happy with the service and felt taken care of.
