Winter tires swapped for summer tires. Took about 1 3/4 hours which is what I was told. Great service that tires bought at direct tires get a free service to rotate or change winter to summer tires. I’ll always use direct tires to buy my tires rather than the dealer that gives no breaks in costs.

Direct Tire's selection of tires is fair, prices are above national average, and their tire maintenance service is dreadful. Whenever I need to go to get the free tire rotation I’ve had to wait for over an hour for them to even bring the vehicle in. When I made an appointment for a specific time, my car wasn’t brought in until I brought it up after waiting 45min in the lobby only to walk out and see my car parked where I left it. They apologized for that wait, that one time. They don't care about you once you bought your tires from them because they make no money offering free service. Finally, they never honored the road hazard warranty to a nail I got in the sidewall, they said it was either vandalism or neglectful driving, therefore not covered. How is a nail in the tire either of those? Been going to Costco ever since…fantastic!

Direct Tire is great. They got me in and out very quickly during a rush for winter tires. I made my appointment and was only there no longer than 45 minutes. The tires I purchased were pricy, but I got to store my summer tires there for the season for a small fee. They even offered me their loaner car for the short time I was there. They have excellent customer service and keep you informed about your vehicle's progress the entire time. I am very impressed with their level of service. Direct Tire has really been great these last two winters. It's hard to find people who are honest and care about the customer these days but that's exactly the experience I have had with them. I've had flat tires and bent rims two winters in a row due to the potholes and Barry was exception to deal with. He explained my options, communicated with me constantly and got the work done for a fair price. They're my go to shop now - although I hope I don't get any more flat tires.

I never write reviews good or bad but felt I needed to write this. Went in for an oil change, Direct Tire of Watertown. Front desk manager told me I needed 10 new lug nuts. I said I’m not buying new lug nuts from you. He raised his voice at me in front of customers in the waiting room, telling me I’m making more work for them if I don’t buy new lug nuts, because he had to hammer the socket on to remove them. I asked him to bring me a lug nut and socket. I was able to slip it on with my hand. I said I’m not buying them, he then told me he’s going to charge me for labor to put the old ones back on. He shook his head as we began arguing, he said “everyone just buys the new lug nuts!” He didn’t need to remove my tires for an oil change and if he was struggling to remove the lug nuts, I wish he would have stopped and asked me if they should continue because it would cost me labor to remove all 10. Ive been getting my oil changed and new tires from direct tire for 25 years and this was the single most rude customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. I finally spoke to the general manager Bob, he apologized for the unacceptable behavior of his floor manager Andy. Turned out that they didn’t even have the 9/16” lug nuts I needed in stock. Bob said he will order and pay for the lug nuts with no charge to install them.

The shop is clean and well run. Very conveniently located on Galen Street. Parking is convenient enough. The fellow who answered the phone was nice and curtious. He called me back promptly with a price. But I found the same tires cheaper elsewhere. I will certainly give them another try, next time though.

Direct Tire Watertown is fantastic. I've had the misfortune to have had several flat tires over the past several months, due to living near a construction area and getting nails in the tires. Each time the staff at DT greeted me with a smile, made sure I was comfortable while I waited and fixed the tire at no charge, since I'd bought the set from them. These folks know how to stand behind their work and I fully appreciate that! I am a customer for life.

Knowledgeable staff, high quality service (including a video of what needs to be repaired) and unsurpassed integrity - in the off chance that they didn't fix something completely or a recent repair fails, they will make it right for free. The only place I trust to bring my vehicle - and this comes from a guy who changes his own oil, swaps control arms, installs custom lighting, upgrades brakes, repairs broken parking brakes and hood-release mechanisms, etc, all on my own. Best Tire Prices for Your Car Direct Tire & Auto Service was the only company to come close to my price point of $575 in the Watertown area. Included in the $575 for a Ford Focus, were 4 tires, alignment, road hazzard & warranty, and labor & taxes. The other six places I checked estimated at least $100 over this. Direct Tire can also give you a loaner Honda Civic, (if you schedule your service and request it ahead of time) and all you pay for is the gas you use or $9 whichever is less which is a huge plus. The service staff were very friendly, so friendly in fact they refused to talk negatively about their competitors. They also got my car in for the tire change earlier than scheduled (by my request) to beat an incoming snow storm. Overall, I would recommend this company based on great service and great prices.

These guys are great. They know what to do, and they make no fuss about it. I recall dropping off my car on two separate occasions for an alignment; and when I went back to pick it up, I was told there was no need for an alignment and I wasn't charged. You hardly see this elsewhere. Great guys.

Called and asked how much will it be to change tires, balance them and do aligment. Was aksed what vehicle, tire size and if I already DO have tires. I answered those questions and specified that tires are MINE. Price was given a $15 per wheel for tire change and balance. When came in, it happened that price no is different. Now price was $35. So? while I was driving to DT, price went $20 up or customer service is just really bad, that they cannot give the price right and clear.

I haven't been back to Direct Tire since I purchased my BMW in late 2013 as their warranty covered everything. Now that it's expired, I've rekindled the relationship. I've always had exemplary service here going all the back to the 1990's. Nothing has changed in any negative way since. I'm very happy and satisfied with their professionalism, courtesy and friendliness. I had my front and rear brake rotors and pads replaced. It wasn't cheap but it was approximately $300 less than what the dealer quoted. I will be purchasing a new set of tires come the fall and that will most certainly be at Direct Tire of Watertown.

They got my Jeep Wrangler in first thing to balance all 5 of my 35in tires and had me all set by lunch. Probably the best car service in the country, never mind locally. I recently stopped in to look for new tires. I was quickly greated by Rick who was very through reviewing the plusses snd minuses of a variety of options. Today I returned to have them installed. Shortly after leaving the car. I recieved a text message with a video attached. I was a video from the tech who did a video check of the brakes, suspension, fluid levels and condition and air filter conditions. About an hour later, I go both a call and text message that the car was ready and that the brakes and alignment were both fine. When I picked up the car I had shinny new tires, washed wheels and even the car was vacuumed out. Excellent service at fair and reasonsble prices. I highly recommend Direct Tire!

I just wanted to post an update - During the '17 Xmas holidays' snowstorm and then the "cyclone bomb" panic of winter 2018, I was thinking lovingly of these guys (the Watertown shop) where I'd recently gotten new tires on both my cars, alignments, and had the brakes checked and spiffed up. I had to do a lot of driving all over NY, CT & NE during that period, and as many people tottered anxiously along, I felt absolutely secure. I have been going to Direct Tire since at least 1994. You can drive a lot of miles in all those years. The only tires I have purchased since, NOT from Direct Tire were factory installed on a new vehicle. Another shop would have to just about give me the tires for free to switch from these guys. From Barry Steinberg (owner) to the guy changing the tires they are courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They always point out safety or maintenance items without a hard sell and honor a warranty without question. I know Barry may tire of this story but it's a customer service win... For many years I drove a Subaru with the newest (lousy) way to attach hub caps.... one time they replaced it... not quite right... lost. Barry replaced it the next day. When another went flying on my way off the lot on a subsequent visit, Barry opened the "hubcap book" and said "pick a new set" on me. No more flying hubcaps. Customer for life. Thanks Barry and Crew.

When I called Direct Tire I spoke with Geno, who was personable, knowledgeable and thorough in explaining my options from possibly being able to salvage my tire with a sealant/patch to possibly needing to buy a new tire. Upon arrival at Direct Tire's Watertown, MA location I received a warm greeting by Geno who came out and examined my car's tire. He took my tire and showed me to the service area where he showed me how they tested the tires for repairability and explained how long it would take. And now, they text you a video of the work done on your car - not sure it's helpful but it's a fun addition to their business model.

They provide loaner cars. They have nice coffee machine. Their tires are good and they provide good warranty on them but cannot recommend the shop for any mechanical work. Significantly more expensive and not sure they have most ethical practices, or most experienced techs, regarding performing and charging for unnecessary work.

I go to Direct Tire because they are the only one's around who store snow tires. It is very convenient (worth the $95 fee for storage for the season). Their tires are a little pricey, but the convenience of having them swap and store your tires is a big plus. Andrew and Johnathan were super helpful. Purchased new tires for my range rover before heading to north country. In Boston next day heading north I had a valve stem blowout in the tunnel. Towed to direct tire and they had us back on our way in 20 minutes. Andrew and the service technicians blew me away with how fast and efficient they got me on our way. I've been a long-time customer of Direct Tire in its Natick store. When that closed unexpectedly, I knew that I'd have to brave making new relationships with the staff in Watertown. Silly me for worrying. Aside from the fact that we don't yet know each other's names, the care and attention that I and my car received in every way matched what I was accustomed to receiving in Natick. I look forward to a long and happy relationship with the Watertown facility. (One caveat - the traffic in Watertown is much worse than in Natick, but that's hardly Direct Tire's fault. I'm sure that it wasn't their idea to create a Turnpike entrance/exit just two blocks away.)

Direct Tire is my go-to service shop. I have been a customer for more than a decade. They have always treated me fairly and have even done some minor work for free. You can even drop your car off after hours and put the key through the slot if you have an emergency. I have used this capability a couple of times.

I visit it twice for two days since it’s very close to my house. The first time for flat tire and I wanted to get the same tire. They asked for 200 for one tire or to get two for 238 which is ridicules. I went this morning again for my Camry and the customer service is terrible. I was talking to one of the sales man and he couldn’t recommend me anything. I had to decide what kind of tire are available. Next thing I ask to get Continental tires and the salesman push me to get General tires which I didn’t want, but I found out after the purchase. Don’t go there better buy the tires online better price and you don’t have to deal with people that push you to buy tires that you don’t want. Poor poor service Stay away.

Gave them a multiple shots but over all communication is lacking as well as accountability with the mechanics. Tires did not come in as said, no big deal but the shop should call the customer to let them know they should reschedule the install. The mechanic that was switching the tires from summer to winter had a family emergency (I completely understand) however it is the job of the floor supervisor or manager of the store to make sure the vehicle is done within a decent amount of time or at least call the customer to let them know what is happening. Don't let the customer know when they come in to pick the vehicle up to leave that they haven't started. Tire pressure is dependent based on tire model, the Psi that a customer leaves the shop with should be the correct Psi. I checked the Psi with the vehicle computer and then doubled checked it with a manual gauge as the ride felt rough. The Psi should of been at 33ish and it was at 55-60 depending now which tire. Torque specs for my vehicle is 100 ft lbs +/- 15 which means I should be able to get it off with a luge wrench but I need a 4 foot breaker bar or a impact gun to change a flat incase it happens. Everyone business has issues sometimes but this is too many for one customer. I will not be going back to this shop or recommending them to anyone.

I came at 8 AM to replace one tire. I was the second customer to arrive and they told me that it would take about an hour to change just one tire. I have waited patiently. After an hour, I saw that the tire was not even mounted! They kept receiving other clients meanwhile and I was late for work. The roadside service takes about 20 minutes to replace a tire. Why more than an hour and I just don't understand their unkind attitude when I asked when the tire will be replaced.

Excellent experience. The team at Direct Tire was friendly and switched the channel from racing to cartoons for my 6 year old son. The service was quick, on budget and there were no surprises. The added pleasure from this experience came when I received a video from the technician while he was working on my vehicle which provided insight to the condition on major drive and suspension components under the the carriage. winter changeover. called on my way in to check tire size compatibility with new car. was told my stored tires wouldn't fit. drove home. DT called back, said they would fit. rescheduled appointment. arrived, waited 2hrs before my car was even put on the lift. they pulled the summer tires off the rims, then came and told me they couldn't find my stored tires. went home in a loaner. they called 1/2hr later to say they found the tires and mounted them. picked up the car, TPS light came on.... not a great experience

Bought a new tire there to replace a bad front left tire. They installed the new one and rotated it to the back which is recommended because the better tread should be in the back to prevent fish tailing. A week later when I finally took it on the highway I noticed I now had a vibration that wasn't there before. I called today to see if they could fix it. I said I needed to wait for it. They were very nice to service it without much of a wait. I drove home on the highway and the vibration was gone. I'm very pleased with their service and quick turn around they gave me.

I really like direct tire. I've been coming for years. The only problem I have is that the oil change appointments seem to be taking longer and longer. they are generally supposed to be an hour and a half, which already seems too long. But the last few times I've gone they've taken two hours to two and a half hours.
