Tommy Crothers runs an excellent shop. His mechanics are great and have been with him many years. The tires are fairly priced, the service is excellent, and they don't try to sell you what you don't need. I have gotten my tires there for years. They do other car work as well and are competent and fair in all they do. The tire chain stored may be a little cheaper but they are far from being better.

While visiting my daughter in MA, my tire was ruined by a piece of metal. Near closing on a Friday night, Tom and Jim did everything possible to help me. My tire was not in stock so they offered to place a used tire on in order for the trip back to NY. We opted to wait until Saturday morning when a new tire was delivered. They got me on the road as quickly as possible and even made a great recommendation for breakfast within walking distance while the work was done. Great service and prices. Really kind people.

Not only do they do tires, wheels and alignments, but also brakes, hoses, oil change, starter, replacements etc. I've had multiple sets of street and off-road tires installed, a starter replaced, and suspension installed. I needed a tube put in a tractor tire, they said the tire was no good and they could not do it . Tom Jr was very rude, just like is father is,and wanted me out. I took the tire to Pete's tire on route 20.They fix the problem with the tire fix the inside of the tire Tire working fine. Have a tire problem go to Pete's.If I could post no stars I would have.

Update May 2013 - Just had them do 4 new tires for the family truckster. 19" wheels are unique, but they had a great recommendation. Got it done for less than $1000 including alignment! The other tire places wanted way more. And I will say they do an amazing job balancing tires. Nov 2012- Pulled into work and had a flat tire. I knew that all of them were ready to be replaced. Got the spare on and made it down the street. Dropped it off overnight and next afternoon it was ready. 4 new truck tires for $500 was a deal I could never have found anywhere else. Plus, they really paid attention to the wheel balancing and now the truck rides smooth as glass. Highly recommend.

They're always busy for good reason; they do good work quickly and for a reasonable price! I hate having to do any car repairs because other shops have made me uncomfortable or made me feel dumb for not knowing everything about cars and how they run, but not here. Everyone I spoke with was kind and helpful, explaining what my car needed without being condescending and even gave me options for repairs when they thought it might not be completed by the deadline they originally stated, but they pulled it off. Will definitely be coming back!

I spoke with Tom who explained all of my options, and recommended a great set of tires and quoted me a price well below what other shops had said. Installation took about an hour. What an awesome experience. I went in to have rear brakes done on my 2007 Mustang. Tom's mechanic Mike noticed a small puddle of anti freeze under the car. He came out and told me what he found and showed me where it was coming from. Even though Tom jr was over loaded with work his mechanic Mike ordered the part from Ford, told me what day it would be in . I spoke with Tom Jr about pricing and asked when it could be done. Knowing that I needed it repaired asap he fit me in on Friday . Even with all the cars he had booked that day he got the car in and had it done by 430pm. To his credit he got me a car of his own so I could head back home rather then wait all day in the shop after my mother failed to pick me up by 11am that morning. His mechanics were friendly, experienced at explaining what had happened to cause my car's thermostat housing to fail like it did. I would highly recommend Tom Jr as he only hires the best workers. I have been going to them for tires since i bought the mustang new back in 07. I won't trust anyone else with my car but them. They are the most honest people I've ever met in my dealings with car repair. I ve never had a problem with them. On a more personal note Tom Jr should have been the brother I never had. He treated me like family as he always does when I bring my car in for tires and more recently regular maintenance repairs. He's getting all my business. Thanks Tom Jr for the awesome treatment when i got left behind. And a special thanks to his mechanic Mike for doing such a wonderful job on my car, not once, but twice..You rock guys.
