Scheduled a 50k mi service for my 2015 VW Passat on Monday, and they could get me in Wednesday. They provided me with a loaner vehicle so I could get home/work and back, which was nice. They changed the oil and rotated the tires. They were unable to do the coolant flush. All staff were courteous and polite.

I was referred to Wastler by another business that did not provide the service that Wastler does provide. A reference coming from another business is a plus. I called Wastler and spoke with Tony, asked if they could provide an I spection I needed and Tony was very helpful and answered all my questions . My next question , could they fit me in the next day. Tony verified with his mechanic and they met my needs . Great waiting area . Great job.

I brought my truck in to have new tires mounted and balanced. While it was there, they told me that the truck needed an alignment, as well (I had just had an alignment done 3-4 weeks prior and it was driving fine). Since I was putting new tires on the truck and they told me that the alignment was "way off," I agreed to the alignment, as well. When I picked the truck up I noticed that there was a pretty strong pull to the right and a there was a vibration beginning at about 40/50 mph. I brought the truck back in and they completed a second alignment (3rd alignment in a month). When I picked the truck up, it pulled less, but it no longer turned left well and still had the vibration. As I was not inclined to keep dropping the truck off and getting it "fixed," which was resulting in it driving worse than when I brought it in, I took the truck to my dealership. The dealership advised that the tires were significantly out of balance and the alignment was bad. The dealership balanced the tires and completed an alignment (4th alignment in about a month). When I left the dealership, the truck finally drove straight and the vibration was gone. Now, the tire pressure monitoring system has stopped registering the tire pressure, even though it was serviced and reset as part of the mount/balance at Wastler. I have an appointment to bring the truck back to the dealership to have this problem fixed, too. So far, Wastler Tire Pros has cost me over $200 at their shop and over $200 to fix the mess they made of my truck (we'll see how much it costs to reset/fix the tpms). I called Wastler today and they assured me that the manager (who was in training this morning) would call me this afternoon to address the problems. However, I never received a call. At this time, Wastler has not done anything to make these problems right. I will update this review if I ever hear from the Wastler Tire Pros manager and if they are willing to do anything to correct how much money I've spent fixing the mess they made. Update: I have emailed twice, not just the invoices from Wastler Tire Pros, but all the invoices related to this complaint. The original email was sent on 7/17/19. When I received no response, I emailed again on 7/23/19. I have heard nothing from anyone related to Wastler. At this point, if I could make this review a negative stars I would. They talked about fixing the problem if their response, but have never responded to either my original phone call or the following 2 emails. Clearly, Steve has no intention of addressing this problem.

Went to get my car checked out and payed 54.00 dollars to have them look at it and then they tried to charge me for 20 different things for a total of $2,500.00 so I toolkit to my normal mechanic and it was just a valve cover which including labor and everything only ran me $208.00 so i saved $2,300.00 by not using you guys. Thanks for trying to rip.me off Some of the stuff they said I needed replaced I had just done a month ago so I know he was lying.

DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SHOP! Charged $266 labor for a 30 minute (max) job. Replaced ignition coil and installed another one I supplied. Artificially inflated labor and part cost. $400 to change an ignition coil and $50 for an oil change. What a joke!

Took my car in to be MD state inspected. The car failed due to a leak in the rack and pinion. Order a new one. When to replace install it and only the boot was torn. $200 part compared to $14. Also failed due to window tint. The legal limit in the state of Maryland is 35% Nothing on any windows came up over 23% Also failed due to a bad tires. They said that they were cracking and destroyed on the inside. To have them fix and replace everything would have costed $1,300. I’m a car guy and do a lot of my own work that needs to be done on all my vechiles. Decided this was a clear temples to scam me out of my money and took the vechile to another state certified shop. They passed it and all I had to do was replace a power steering belt. I believe in honest shops for the few times I do take one of my cars in for work. Wastlers Auto Service is not one

Purchased 4 tires and was promised a call as to when they arrived. That call was a bit tardy but not a show stopper. Tires were installed OK and a parking brake adjustment was added to the task list. I had seen this done before I noticed the tech was proceeding in the wrong way to adjust the brake. I am picky about my car so the recognized way of adjustment was explained, all was put back on course and the adjustment was done correctly. All in all, a receptive group to work with and they do pay attention to customer concerns.....that is a big plus. They are pricey, but who isn't these days? Welcome to inflation America....get used to it.

I have used Wastler a couple times now to install tires ordered from Tire Buyer online, and probably will not use them again for anything. I got a call when my tires arrived at the shop, a Thurs, and setup an appointment to have them installed on Monday at 7:30, and ask to check brakes also, saying it should only take a couple hours. I dropped the car off promptly at 7:30. By11:30 I still hadn't heard from them. I tried calling numerous times just to get a busy signal. I finally got in touch with them at 1:30 only to hear that it was as not finished and that I needed complete brake replacement on the rear. So why hadn't they called me? Who knows but for me to have to call them 6 hours later and then to say it wasn't finished, and then try and sell me a $900 brake job put me to the edge. Nope I didn't get the brake job, said it would be done by 4:30 and picked it up. I have been looking for a good local shop, but from this experience, sorry but I don't think I'll ever return.

I've been here 5 or 6 times now, and I really wanted to like this place. It just hasn't worked out, and my latest attempt will be my last. I took my truck in for 2 things - brakes were squealing and my parking brake sensor was staying on after releasing the brake. The brake job was almost $1,000 for 2 pads, 2 rotors, and caliper alignment. Seems really high, but ok...except that my brakes still squeak. As for the parking brake, they said they loosened the cable some and it should work now. After driving it for a couple of days, the parking brake sensor was still malfunctioning, but now my parking brake was so loose it wouldn't hold the truck. So I took it back. This time they blamed the sensor and said I needed a new one. They would call me when the sensor comes in. Two weeks later, I still hadn't received a call. Stopped in to get an update and they had no idea what I was talking about. Steve was not in yet, but the guy at the desk wrote down my info and said Steve would call me later. It's now been another 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from Steve. So to recap - I paid them almost $1k, my brakes still squeak, my parking brake no longer works, and they removed / disconnected the sensor, so I can't get into any of my truck's audio setting because of the safety feature that requires the parking brake to be engaged. Still waiting for that call from Steve....

Also could have charged for an alignment that was not needed; just advised that no alignment was necessary. Recommend this facility for your car and truck repair and maintenance.

Over charge customers quite alot. I asked for a quote for a timing belt job. I was told the 2hr job was going to cost over 800$.I asked what they were going to charge me an hour for labor. Since the job only pays 2 hrs flat rate per alldata (the industry standard for computing labor for jobs). The service writer pretended he didn't understand the question. I said if the parts are only 80$ and the job pays 2hrs what is your labor charge per hour? Because 720$ labor for a 2hr job is massively overcharging me. The service writer said the price is the price and I can go somewhere else. My friend also experienced very expensive prices here. He unknowingly paid close to one thousand dollars for a new fuel pump install on his silverado. Then when he got it back the hydraulic plow pump was stolen off of his truck......cliff notes:don't go here Edit: Please disregard the companies reply. Just contacted my friend that had the pump stolen off his truck. "Mr.Wastler" never contacted him directly. And he was brushed off by the company.Notice that in the companies response on Google reviews was not an attempt to make amends. But to further discredit me . The only thing fraudulent is their blatant overcharging for their services. I also have heard more feedback in the community for this business. Namely how they sell customers new brake rotors instead of turning them on a lathe. The vehicle in question had less than 40k miles and according to them needed new brake rotors. They make more of a profit selling and installing these (new rotors). Then they would by correctly servicing them by turning the rotors.

Went to Wastler when I couldn't figure out why my tire kept going flat. (and yes I had checked for nails). They found the problem, and fixed it the same day while I waited. The mechanic also pointed out that I was very close to needing rear breaks. (I had just had it at a dealer a few weeks before this and they didn't mention anything). I took my car back a few days later so they could replace the breaks, machine the rotors and check the other 3 tires for me. They also when ahead and rotated my tires for me. I will defiantly be taking my car here for my oil changes from now on. Thank you very much Wastler's!

Took a car in for Maryland state inspection. I expected a few of the issues found (2 tires were needed and a light bulb was burnt out). However 2 months prior I had replaced the windshield wipers and they were working great. The inspector failed the windshield wipers saying they left streaks. I went ahead and let them replace the wipers, because if I did it myself I would have had to pay an additional $35 to have the vehicle re-inspected. The new wipers are the worst wipers I have ever had on any vehicle. They do not remove water from the windshield no matter how hard or soft the rain falls and it is almost impossible to see anything out of the windshield. This weekend was the first time I drove the vehicle in the rain since the inspection ~2-3 weeks ago. I took my family hiking in West Virginia and the drive home was so stressful, simply because it was lightly raining and using the brand new windshield wipers did nothing but smear the rain and I had almost no visibility (again the rain was only lightly falling most of the time, there were times when it was raining heavily and having the wipers on full speed did not improve visibility at all). It may seem silly to be upset about windshield wipers, however I feel it was very dishonest of them to fail my previous wipers which were awesome with these horrible wipers that I now have to replace again just 2-3 weeks later. In addition I had to replace the two front tires. I was assured that the new tires would be put on the rear of the vehicle because of safety/traction. However the new tires were put on the front of the vehicle. I called about this when it happened and was told that there was a mix up and if I brought the vehicle back they would correct it. I did not bring the vehicle back and will not bring any of my cars to them again. The location is convenient but I am very dissatisfied with the work that was performed. Except the light bulb that was replaced, that seems to be functioning fine. EDIT: I am unable to reply to the owners reply, so I will do so here. I understand you are required by law to fail wipers if they leave any streaks, however the wipers I had before did not leave any streaks and they worked perfectly. In fact I have no idea how the wipers that were put on the car would ever pass inspection anywhere. I would have had better results if I duct taped 2x4s to my wiper arms and used boards instead. Since I do not agree with the assertion that the wipers were leaving streaks I am left with the conclusion that wipers are routinely failed as a way to either make a few dollars on the inspection or to prove that your inspection found something. There is no evidence required for you to fail any aspect of the inspection and while you may have strict accountability on the state side there is nothing to protect the consumer against an inspection shop requiring needless repairs. I am upset because the false assertion that my old wipers were leaving streaks put my family in danger on a weekend trip because I was left with almost no visibility in light rain driving through unfamiliar mountain roads. I have already replaced the terrible wipers your shop installed. I hope it was worth a few dollars. I will never trust my families safety with your shop again.

Hubby’s work truck had a check engine light come on. This is the truck he works out of on a daily basis, and we were getting ready to head out on a road trip within a few days as well. He called Wastler who agreed to take it first thing in the morning. They evaluated the issues and also gave it the “pre-trip once” over I had requested. All without previous notice. They called with an estimate and, once approved they proceeded to get the parts and complete the work on the truck all in one day so my husband could honor his work schedule. They even stayed way past closing to get it done for him. And the estimate was accurate, too!

Not very pleased and will not return. Initial visit was in June 2013 for some engine and transmission service along with recommended Air Conditioning service that alone totaled over $1,100. (JUST THE A/C) Total bill was just under $2,150 for everything that at the time I did not mind paying. WASTLER came highly recommended by a friend that warned "good work but at a high cost". Well.... August 2013 rolls around and the Air Conditioning is blowing hot air. The system had lost all of it's charge due to a leaking low side Schrader valve. WASTLER did cover this under warranty. July 2014: A/C system not blowing cold air again. Returned to WASTLER again and their evaluation was "A little low on FREON, recharged system and added DYE. No leaks at this time". Again, they covered it under warranty, but where is the FREON leaking from? April 2015: You guessed it. Air Conditioning system has leaked all FREON again. (3rd time back to WASTLER, same issue) Their diagnosis was two corroded A/C lines that cost me $902.36 with labor. WOW, we finally found the problem right? WRONG! October 2016: System has lost all FREON AGAIN! Their diagnosis was a leaking high side Schrader valve this time that only cost me $248.22 installed. WARRANTY requested but Dave denied it saying that the Schrader valve (a $6.00 part) was original to the vehicle and it had failed due to it's age. My question was with all the times we had to come back with a known leak, why was this valve not changed? Everything else was. Was this a professional A/C system evaluation and service performed on my 1999 GMC Surburban? NO! And Dave, yes it is a Garage kept 1999 with only 89,000 miles which should have been considered with your service and service recommendations from the first visit. Is this how you keep you customers coming back? You can forget about any of the other recommended services you provided me. I will not be back. I am well over $2,000 into this Air Conditioning system. It is working for now.

I was told I had to make an appt. for the next day. I stopped by wastler tites to get a price. I was told around $20 to 25.00 and they could do it now. I talk to Murphy. I didn't have to wait long

Excellent Service. We use them for mounting and balancing tires a good bit. Also brought my personal GMC in for tire mounting and an alignment. They found bad upper ball joints... this is obviously a safety concern. Some people look down on companies that find other issues with your vehicle but I really appreciated them checking out my vehicle to ensure it was safe! Great alignment and great people. I stopped in to ask about mounting and balancing. I was greeted professionally by the manager Murphy (John Murphy) and given a quote. I returned with my new rims and tires a couple weeks later. They fit me in, didnt make me wait any longer than needed, showed me a concern they had with the size tires I chose and completed the job at the quoted price. While waiting Murphy and Ted greeted each customer on the phone or in person with respect and by name. The shop is cleaner than average and I will do business with again. Scheduled an appointment over the phone 4 days in advance for a simple tire rotation and I guess the guy forgot when technicians leave because he scheduled me for a time when no one could do the work. On top of that, either he didn't put me in the system at all or some computer malfunction happened because I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time to find out I wasn't in the schedule. Rescheduled that day for another appointment 3 days in advance and this time I scheduled it early. However, I got there 10 minutes early and AGAIN I wasn't in the system. I don't know what's up with that. Maybe they don't schedule tire rotations because they're simple and free? Either way, I'll only be going there for tire rotations because they were the ones who installed my tires and therefore are responsible for any warrantied replacement. If you make an appointment there, make sure you get some kind of proof for it. 2 stars for squeezing me in.

I went in to ask about tires for my car the guy told me the price for the tires but did not tell me about the other cost, I ask him if the cost to install the tires was included and he said yes, all I would pay is for the alignment if I chose to have it done,, once done all these changes came up and it ended up costing more than my car dealership, I would never go back there this place again. I gave it one star because he did have the tires there in time. While I was there a guy came back after leaving from picking up his car said some items were taken from his vehicle.

I was needing the oil changed in my truck and attempted to call the Ford dealership to try and get it done same day. Ford could not accommodate me until the end of the week I was told. Wasn't happening with Ford. I then thought about doing a lube express or jiffy lube. I'm not a big fan of those businesses because they always try n say something needs to be changed out even though it dosent. I realized Wastler Tire and Auto was around the corner from me. Called and spoked to Ted. He was very professional when he answered. Told him I was looking to get my truck serviced. He said not a problem and gave me a time yo be there by to fit me in. I arrived to the business, took my information, gave the keys to a service tech, and 25 mins later it was done. I thanked Ted for making the service happen. I plan to use Wastler Tire and Auto regularly now and be a loyal/returning customer
