Chose Waldorf Tire Pros due to the Yelp reviews, and found the staff friendly and professional. I had a nail in my tire and although they could not repair it (too far on side), I was given 2 tire options. My original tire brand was more expensive than the cheaper version the staff recommended. I chose cheaper and after a day of driving on it, I did not feel a difference at all!

They could've taken advantage of my insufficient technical knowledge and gone ahead with the replacement of the part. But, no, they said it was still good. And, indeed, it still is. I have been coming to this shop for over 10 years. When my husband was transferred to Indian Head, my kids were very young. My daughter was 4 & my son was 2. Needless to say, I had to take them where ever I had to go. So when my husband got deployed, I was left with 2 kids in a new city. After transporting 2 kids going from shop to shop, you can amagine how a frustrated I was. I went to 4 shops and every single one of them had a different diagnosis for what needed to be done to my car. I only needed an oil change and an inspection. I decided to take break from my frustrations and go to Wal-mart to do some shopping. As I pulled into the parking I saw this shop across the street and the sign said, oil change in 30 min. So I decide to take my kids and my car across the street. Walking into this shop, I meet a man and his name was Wayne. He could probably tell by the look on my face that I was nearly in tears. I recall him saying, "hello young lady. How can I help you? You look like you need a hug." I looked up at him and I said, it's been a rough day and we began to talk. By the time they were done changing my oil and done inspecting my car, all I can remember is this great sense of relief overcoming me. Wayne is a kind man and cares about his customers. His employees are his family and they will take good care of you and your car. They are good people. Even though, my husband, my kids and I have moved to Lanham, I continue to bring my car to this shop.

My son, Adriane, just brought his first used car. He read the reviews about this place and took his car to get it inspected. It was an older car, he expected issues. They gave him a list of everything that needed to be fixed. He got it fixed. He doesn't make much money but he was determined. It took him a while to get it fixed but once he did, he brought it in for a third inspection. Each time he brought the car in and got it fixed, they kept finding things wrong with the car with each inspection. This prolonged him into getting his car on the road. His re-inspection surpassed the 30 days. He had to pay again to get it inspected. Upon the final inspection, they found other things wrong with the car. Things that should have been addressed the first two or three times he took it to get inspected were missed. Because of this, my son still cannot put his car on the road. I think that this was unfair and they should have waived the re-inspection fee for him. I don't understand why each time he went, they kept finding new things that were wrong with the car. He is trying to go to college. That car is his only way to get back and forth. He saved for months for that car and used every pay check he had to get it fixed. The fact that he was charged again and failed for something they missed the first couple of times is heartbreaking. He doesn't have money to catch ubers back and forth to work, henceforth that was his reason for buying the car. The fact that this was done to him disgust me. They didn't take into consideration that their mistakes have held him back from his goals. They didn't care. They just wanted his money. Do Not Take Your car here for an inspection!!!! Especially if you have a kid trying to succeed and get out on his own. This place is horrible.

Service was ok. The wait time wasn't bad for not having an appointment. However, I asked about any available discounts or current specials at the beginning and was told about two, but was basically offered the one that would be validated on my next visit. I was of the impression that it would've been applied there and then and not on my next visit, as was explained at the end of the transaction and after receiving the service when I was trying to get confirmation about it. I'm disappointed because I'm from out of town and more than likely will not be able to use their services in the near future, so it wouldn't be beneficial to me. They also didn't complete the reset of the systems on my car so the check engine light is illuminated.

Came in to get an oil change, tire rotation, tire balance, battery check, and a/c coolant. After i had gotten my car back i had noticed they didn’t rotate my tires. I call and the lady at the front tells me she checked with the technician and they did “forget” to do the rotation and to come in and they’ll get me done quick. I came in and waited for 30 minutes only for them to tell me that they forgot to do both the tire rotation AND the balancing so i ended up waiting about an hour. If you have service here i recommend getting it checked to see if they actually did the work, they damn sure didn’t forget to charge me for what they didn’t do. Bad customer service

My heat was not working. Originally, I took my work truck to a competitor and they had my truck for 4 days and they did an hours worth of work and didn't know what the problem was. I didn't actually go to Waldorf Tire Pros but they definitely deserve five stars. Here's why... Me and a couple of friends were driving from Accokeek to Ocean City (almost a 3 hour drive). We're just getting started and we're on I-95 North passing by Fedex Field in Landover when all of a sudden we hear a pop and my car starts to go down a little. I instantly knew that the tire popped so I (angrily) pulled to the side. We all get out, (mind you, we're all 18 year old kids who know just a little about how to change tires) and I'm preparing myself to change the tire. We get everything out and realize we do not have a jack to lift the car up, so I'm stressing and worrying because this trip was supposed to be perfect and all of a sudden a man comes out of nowhere (and I mean no where; he was not there when we pulled over) and asks if we needed assistance. We immediately say yes and just watch him do his magic. The spare tire was on in less than 2 minutes. He gets up and walks away and we tell him thank you and I attempt to give him all the cash I have (all of 5 dollars) and he refused, but instead gave me his Waldorf Tire Pros business card and asked for a review instead. So here it is. Great service! Thank you Mr. Lackey!!!

This shop discriminates against any oversized vehicle that looks like a "motor home" and discriminated against my wife and I. Called the day prior just to find out if they can fit oversized vehicles in their bays and if they do oil changes on a Ford E-350, they informed me that they do both of these things. When my wife and I came in today, Afrikan as we are, all of a sudden they can't accommodate us. They are claiming "they don't have the parts to work on our vehicle" even though just yesterday, when I spoke to the same receptionist on the phone, they had the parts and would gladly do the oil change. I even saw an oversized van they are working on with the exact same engine as ours in it so I know they do, in fact, have the parts to work on them. Drove 20 miles for nothing. Would give this place negative stars if I could.

This is a great place to take your vehicle if you need great service at a reasonable price. Their mechanics are very knowledgeable. Billy Lackey gave my husband and me wonderful service. I took my truck in to get an additional quote for work I thought was over priced and everyone else said was over priced. Billy took the time to evaluate my situation and give me a quote that was reasonable. Not all the work originally quoted was required so he save me money on unnecessary work. He was professional, timely and always kept me in the loop. Great Mechanic at a great shop.

As a woman sometimes you're leary about doing business alone because you feel like because of your lack of knowledge in a particular area that you may be taken advantage of. This place however I NEVER feel that way. These guys are absolutely great!!! They are kind, HONEST and very patient with my sometimes many questions. Their prices are very fair for their top of the line service. My father as well is a big fan of this place. I have been VERY pleased every time I've been here and I've been coming for close to 10 years.
