No professional courtesy lol...so I was asked if I had a preference has to who was working on my car after setting up an appointment 2 days in advance...after I found out the master tech had eight ASE certificates, I decided I wanted him to work on the car, partial to the fact to that I wasn’t really even greeted when I walked in the shop by the other guy who started working on it...so when I asked, the owner was extremely rude, although i sensed passive aggressive tendancy from the moment I walked in the door..(obviously racist type)...so finally after trying to rebut me a few times, the owner decided to honor my request of having the master tech, except he decided to storm in front of me and not hold the door open or anything. Then yells in the shop “off the car Bryan. Ima have bill finish this. This guy think you’re not qualified enough to work on the car”...that is not what I said. I simply said I wanted the more experienced master technician to work on my car! What is the point of asking my preference if you’re gonna give me grief about it and act like a child, as the owner!? Well anyway, needless to say I felt compelled to write this review based on my horrible and nervewracking experience. The master tech named bill who worked on my car was alright and my experience there was absolutely revolting. I will not recommend this place and I would never bring my car here again :/

I have mixed feelings about this place hence the 2 stars. In summary, the owner is rude, intentionally overcharges customers and has no problem saying this. I have noticed that few other reviewers have noted being treated rude by the owner. The employees are actually nice and work is done right. Here is my story: The first time I went there to get a bearing pressed since I do not gave a bearing press. I brought the parts and the staff was friendly and kocked it out in 15 minutes. The owner was friendly and charged me $80 for this service. I thought it was a bit high for 15 minutes of labor (labor rate is posted at $104 per hour) but I was happy to get a quick turn around. I came back a week later and brought another bearing to get pressed. This time he wanted me to drop it off for 3 hours even though I previsously called and arranged for a specific time. No worries, I get it, it is a small job he will just sqeeze it in. I stopped by 2 hours later. They were done with the service but failed to call me even thought I asked specifically to call me. Next, the owner says, how much did I charge you last time? I was honest and said $80. He said, it will be $93 today. I expected to pay less for a returning customer or the same but not more. I politely called him out on it. He proceeded to explain to me that he did not make money by marking up parts since I brought mine so he has to charge me more for labor. Then he said that labor price went up, even though it was still listed at $104. His tone was rude even though I was nice to him. He basically explained to me in a rude way that he has to scam me. He had no problems saying this to my face and treating me rude. Anyway, his employees were nice and work was done right which is why I gave 2 stars as opposed to 1 star. After this rude experience, I will not be coming back. Also, while at the shop I heard him going over basic maintenance costs on a car. His markup on parts was nearly 100%. Bottom line, if you want to pay dealership price at a local shop and like being treated rude, this is the place for you.

I'm so grateful for TG automotive. I had my state inspection done with them and ended up needing to have a few things fixed prior to passing the inspection. Tom (who is the owner) was very helpful, genuine, honest and kind. It took me a while to get my vehicle back in to TG automotive to have the work done, and they were extremely accomidating with this. My temporary tags were close to expiring and when I explained this tom, he got me in the very next day. This really helped put my mind to ease. It also only took a day to complete and it wasn't a small repair. Overall, I highly recommend TG automotive and will continue to have my vehicle serviced with them. I especially appreciate the personable interactions with Tom as the owner of the shop. He answers the phone and sits at the front desk to greet customers, you just dont see that a lot but it sure hasn't gone unnoticed here! Thank you for all your help!!!

Very friendly staff. Employees work very fast. Was able to take my car for state inspection the same day I called to make an apt. Clean, large waiting area with cable tv and magazines. Brought my 4 y/o daughter and she was able to watch cartoons. They said it usually takes 2 hours but they were done in less than one. Failed inspection because of one thing and he gave me a very reasonable quote. Overall a great place. Bringing my car back for them to fix the issue!

Thanks for the great job your shop did on my sons car today. I found an awesome repair shop in Laurel for the wife's and my cars. My son lives in the Severn area, he being a college student and not much time to drive to Laurel for repairs. Co workers strongly recommend your shop to me. I called up and explained my sons time crunch and TG got his car right in and repaired it the same day. Thank you TG I feel comfortable if my son needs more repairs you are close to his home and can get the repairs done in a timely manner.

Update: Just got back from TG Auto. and I'm am very happy with my visit. Tom the owner is a very professional, honest, and fair mechanic(something that's hard to find these days). I had some questions previously but he answered all of them and even though I knew he was busy he didnt rush and took his time. . He is on the pricier side but to be fair all his parts carry a 2 year warranty which was one of my original concerns. Very pleased overall and would recommend him to anyone looking for a mechanic. Talked with the owner, pleasant conversation. Looking forward to seeing how our meet goes Monday.

Hey thanks for getting my ride back up and running!!! I was driving home from work, truck tossed a code I thought the whole front end was coming a part. Tom and his technicians were able to diagnose the problem, convey to me the plan so that I understood what had happened, what needed to happen, and got it repaired and back to me with quickly with a reasonable price. They were always professional and courteous to me. I would recommend their service to anyone.

We live in the Anne Arundel County but TG Automotive is the only place we will take our vehicles. After multiple visits their work is always exceptional! Every time we have been there things have been polite, honest, and the best part is it shows they try to look out for you. We had to use the drop key box this weekend and totally expected the work to have to take a few days or week but these guys finished same day?! That was such a great surprise. We want to keep them a secret but we know how hard it is to find a great, let alone good, mechanic and need to share. We definitely recommend using TG Auto!!

Amazing customer service and outstanding car service. Went here after I crashed my car and ruined the axle and other parts of the drivetrain.
