Went there on a Monday morning with no appointment for 4 tires and front end alignment.Machine was booked until 2PM, They said they would try to work me in,let me use courtesy car and call me when it was finished. I believe it was before 1PM when they called and said it was ready.

Go here, get tires here they are fantastic. Local, family owned business that treats you like you're an old friend even if it's your first time there. As a woman, it's hard to find automotive businesses that actually talk to me about my car and that's exactly what happened here. Onna recognized that I knew my car, how it performed and what type of tires I wanted. She and the rest of the staff showed that they understood a woman can know about cars which was so very refreshing. When they called to discuss the tires and the brakes the feedback wasn't "you're brakes look good" they gave the exact stats, measurements and how long I had until I should replace them. That's what I am looking for when I ask how my car is doing!! They have a fantastic warranty and service program for the tires, they'll come get me if I have a blowout on the side of 270 and they have a popcorn machine! I 100% recommend this company and they will get my families business again.

Poor service waited hour's to get service done. I asked for a mirror put on my truck I was told on the phone to come in shouldn't take that long has. A former employees I walk in the door to get a mirror put on waited for hour in the HOT parking lot no one ever came out

Went to South Side Auto after another shop quoted me $2800 for replacing catalytic converter on my Scion XA 2005 (total cost of my car is just over $3,000 on Kelley Blue Book). South Side quoted me 1/3 of that price and recommended to try running a cleaning solution to see if that alone would help. It did, and my CEL is not back on. If it does come back, I will be returning to South Side Auto for the repair! Very reasonable and nice people!

Having heard about Butler's excellent reputation from local friends and family - I visited their website on a Sunday and submitted a request for a quote on a new set of tire. I was able to submit the exact brand and size I was looking for. Cool & simple website. I had a response in less than 24 hours with an out the door price and offer for appointment. New tires were installed along with my requested alignment while we waited - no muss - no fuss - no surprises or annoying upselling for other stuff I didn't want. I've lived in Frederick for 15 years, but only just discovered this excellent business. By far, this was the best tire buying experience I've ever had. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The pricing was highly competitive, and even the waiting experience was pleasant. In fact, I've never before bought tires where I didn't need to use my inhaler (I have reactive asthma) to combat the tire store "aroma", but I didn't need it here. Even the air quality is better at South Side Tire & Auto! To top it all off, I learned that their pricing for synthetic oil changes is highly competitive, so I hope they liked me, too, because I'm about to become a regular. (Oh, and my daughter really appreciated the comfy waiting area where she could read and enjoy their yummy freshly popped popcorn.) Thanks for the great experience, South Side Tire & Auto!

Every time I have had to take a vehicle to South Side tire the staff has been courteous and professional. This last time I had to get a tire replaced because I drove over a screw somewhere. I got a flat tire at work and called South Side to ask if they would send someone to do a repair. The tech came, removed the tire, took it back to the shop, repaired it and balanced it and returned to put it back on my car, all in just 90 minutes from when I first called them. The tech was friendly and courteous. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Check out their hours. They close at 5pm. Banker's hours. Actually worse than bank hours. At least the banks are open till 6pm on Fridays. I rolled up right at 5pm to buy some oil as they are an Amsoil vendor. They saw me coming and closed their garage door and locked the front door. C'est la vie. They lost a potential customer. Thank God I didn't need to leave work early and pick-up a vehicle before 5pm.

So grateful for this wonderful experience. I needed a sensor replaced around one of my tires. Darcars Toyota of Frederick, who I have been a customer for years, wanted to charge me $150 more than Southside Tire. I came in and waited. Done in an hour, comfortable waiting area. I had a really good experience here. I had an alignment and a rotation and balance done. They send you a "Vehicle Condition Report" that includes pictures of anything they find wrong with the car, which I thought was pretty cool. I had not realized my exhaust was rusted out and leaking and probably would not have known for a while had they not sent me the report with pictures of it. My car actually started to shudder after I had it in there, but I called and they are happy to take another look on Monday and see what is causing it. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very professional. Went above and beyond what was needed and pointed out a leak that was not discovered by a different location just earlier that day. Great waiting area with phone charging station and WiFi. Made my first and second tire experience quick and painless (expect for my wallet, but that's because I work minimum wage and can hardly afford new tires) Overall a good experience. I'll be going back to them for oil change and tire rotation in a few thousand miles

South Side helped me document the faulty work from another company that resulted in me nearly losing a wheel on an interstate with my wife and daughter in the car. They even held the related broken parts for me until I came back from vacation. I was able to get the other company to reimburse me for the work as a direct result. I highly recommend S+S. I had a flat so I needed new tires right away, but I had my fussy infant son with me. I called up South Side and explained to them that I wanted to come in right after my son's nap but that he was fussy and I needed the tire change to be fast. They were happy to help. When I arrived I tossed my keys to the guys and went inside to fill out the paper work. They had the car up on the lift right away. Everyone was very happy and friendly. I checked the time as I was driving away and the whole process took less than 15 minutes.

Went for a Maryland inspection on an older vehicle and was put through the ringer on superficial, cosmetic things. Apparently in the state of Maryland you only need one side view and a rearview mirror but because one of my sons I've use this cracked they expected me to buy a $300 mirror assembly. Then, there was a frayed of my steering wheel and they expected me to replace the whole steering wheel. Needless to say I took the truck to another place to have the work done because they did not deserve it and once it was all done they still tried to fail it. .

After researching many tires and shopping around prices, South side was the most affordable and helpful. I needed tires fast. I emailed their website and just a couple hours later got an email back giving me more than enough, affordable options. I looked at Southsides google reviews and heard how great they were, and truth be told, they are great. I was referred to Southside tire from a friend, and was not disappointed. They have a really friendly and knowledgeable staff. The first time I went there I had my newborn with me, so it was nice that they had a bathroom with a changing table that was kept clean and stocked. When it came to ordering my tires I was pretty indecisive about the size and brand of tire, witch was no issue for them. They explained to me, in detail, about each brand they had to offer, witch made my decision a lot easier. When it came to the size they really surprised me by offering to order the tire I wanted in both sizes and put the bigger tire on my truck to see if I like it, and if not I could go with the smaller size. I came in two days latter to get the tires installed and get an alignment, all of witch went smoothly and in good time. The filled up my tires with nitrogen and explained to me all the details about the road hazard protection I bought. Also the alignment was perfect. I previously went to a shop to have my tires aligned three times in the span of two months with no success. If you’re looking for a great tire buying experience go with Southside Tire.

Was passing through Frederick on my way from Baltimore to Virginia nine months ago, and tire went flat. Couldn't swap on the spare because lug wrench made mince meat of one of the lug nuts. Fired up Google Maps, and saw I was only about a mile or two from this place, so stopped in (obviously with no appointment). Was extremely apprehensive and mentally prepared myself for the amount of money I was about to hemorrhage since I was at this shop's mercy. Like lots of folks, I innately distrust people who work on or sell cars for a living. Not trying to offend, but we all know there are still scumbags in these industries who continue to give everyone else a really bad name. Also, to be blunt, the name of the shop (South Side) gave me an unprofessional, fly-by-night vibe. So I walked in like I was walking into a dark alley in, well, the South Side of Chicago. Despite all of that paranoia, everyone at South Side was great. I spoke with three or four different employees there, and all of them were genuinely friendly and helpful and also extremely professional. One of the guys working on my car even came in from the garage and talked to me about how the chrome on the inside of my rims was peeling (thanks for that, General Motors). Cool guy, and didn't try to upsell me or anything like that. I guess he just thought it sucked and wanted me to be aware. Anyway, true to their time quote, was in and out I think within like two hours (again, no appointment) with four brand new tires (replaced all four corners, 100% at my request). Final bill was also significantly cheaper than I expected. Was quoted a price before work was started, and that's pretty much what I paid (when does that ever happen???). Pretty lady who rang me up also pronounced both my first and last names right, so thumbs up for that. I look Asian (and am), so some people will try to make my name sound Asian-y, but it's pronounced exactly like it's spelled. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Received fast, honest, and quality service, and the people there gave me a "I care" (about my car and my time) vibe. (Just realized I sound like a commercial, but I swear I'm a real customer and Asian.) They also have a nice waiting area, and you can browse the riding mowers and tractors next door if you get really bored. I've thought about ways to throw some more business this shop's way, but I don't live nor work close to them, so not practical. I also have no friends... whom I can recommend this place to. So leaving this belated review instead as a thanks. Thanks!
