I can not say enough great things about this place. Me and my family were on our way home from a week at Disney world, when we got a blow out on the side of the road at 3am! What was at first a horrible situation became not so bad and I guess god was on our side by having us break down 9 minutes away from stinger tire repair! We were able to drive the slowly to the shop and wait out front, as they didn’t open until 8am! The owner pulled up at 7:45. He got everything up and running and had the doors open by 8am sharp! When my husband told him our situation and that we had an 8 month old and a 4 year old, he did all he could to make the process effortless and smooth. He did not try to tell us more was wrong with the car, or even try and get any more money out of us! He was extremely reasonable, and realistically he could have told us any price at this time as we were extremely vulnerable and left with no other choice or options, because at this point the tire was on the rim! The waiting area and bathrooms were immaculate!!! They offered coffee with a variety of k-cups and even had a easel dry erase board to keep our 4 year old busy! It may not seem important to some people, but this shows that this shop really pays attention to detail and really does care about their customers!! The garage area was just as clean and pristine as the waiting area, and even though it was pretty busy, it was not at all chaotic it was so smoothly ran!! If you are looking for an honest mechanic shop that is efficient, reasonable, and cares about their coustmers then look no further!! My family and I are so lucky this was the place we were closest to when we broke down!! Thank you again!!

I wish I had read the reviews earlier. I need a trailer wiring hook up for my Escape. I called and was quoted a price of $69.00. I thought that was low so I looked up the part I needed and it was $62.00. I called them back and explained that my ford escape did not come with the trailer prewiring and that I needed the one with that wired directly to the battery. I was told that the correct part was on order and that the install would be the price quoted. I took off of work an hour early because I needed it done for this weekend. I showed up and waited for about a half an hour. The owner came to me and told me that they had ordered the wrong part and it would be $130.00 to do the work, AND I would have to come back. I explained to him that this was not a mistake and that I had called to double check to ensure this would not happen. The only thing he offered was a lame apology that I informed him he could shove. I did the due diligence for them and they flat out lied/did not check into my concerns when I called them to ensure that the right part was ordered. I wasted an hour and a half of my time and fuel, on something that was clearly their fault. They managed to mess this up even though I called and warned them of the possible issue. I am thinking of filing suit for $50. It is not the money, it is just that my time and gas was wasted because they were to lazy or stupid to look into my concerns. Although it would cut into my time it would waste his as well and I feel that would make us even. I would not let someone that deft work on my go cart. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have had several experiences to use Singer Auto and Tire Center over the last several years. My first experience was after I had taken my car into the car dealer for a diagnostic check. They called me and said that I would have $2,700 in car repairs. I told them to stop and that I would pick up the car. Not knowing where to take the car then, my son suggested I take it to Singer, where he had been taking his car. When I took it to them, they found $700 worth of repairs to my car. Quite a savings there! Their customer service is superb, they are friendly and so willing to accommodate my schedule, and they explain exactly what the car needs to have done before doing anything. Singer Auto is my first choice for an auto repair shop, and I highly recommend them!

My family and I were traveling from Ct to Florida when my vehicle's "check tire pressure" warning alerted. I called several shops in the area and was told they were too busy or would be a few hours. When I called Singer Auto, the gentleman on the phone told me to bring it right down and they'd squeeze me in. I was back on the road in 45 minutes!! Incredibly grateful for the staff at Singer Auto to provide us with such great service.

Did 50k service. Brakes, tires, flushed all fluids, serviced fuel injection system, ... car is like new. Also I got free oil change, 5th oil change is free, and they gave me a rebate form for $70 off on the tires.

Just had a set of tires installed. Price was fair, their schedule was more than accommodating, service was spot on and communication perfect. My wheels were in the same shape as when I dropped the car off. That’s all one can ask for.

Used to go there for oil changes and it was usually a good experience. So I figured why not take it for other repairs I needed done to the car. Had a bad fuel relay switch that needed replaced. A female family member had the car towed and when she heard back from them with what the problem was they quoted her $900 for parts and labor. Few hours later a Male family member called and the price was $600. In the end we found out it was under warranty which Singer supposedly honors, per their signing posted in their windows. But of course it was even suggested to see if was under warranty or not. Decided to give them another shot and took it for an oil change and at the same time one of the tire pressure sensors was not working so I asked them to check that out. Now all the sudden none of them are working and the whole system needs replaced. They offered to fix for well over $500. No thanks. Now the last experience is by far the worst. A family member recently hit a patch of black ice and slid into a curb. They took it to them to see what was wrong with it besides the obvious damaged rim and alignment. The mechanic said the car was undriveable and pretty much needed the whole front right suspension replaced for about $1500. Went to the insurance company to start the claim process and they suggested we take it to another mechanic. Upon doing so we found out that the car only needed a new rim and an alignment. So anyone looking for a good mechanic shop I'd highly recommend another place based on my dealings with them. That is unless you just need an oil change other than that expect to be overcharged and basically ripped off if they think they can get over on you.

My wife took her car there for an inspection and it failed (for common small things). So they ordered the part the car needed and she took it back. Well they charged us over $200 for a part that costs $113 then another $100 to put it on. Somehow mounting and balancing 2 tires and fixing a power steering hose cost almost $400. Plus when they did the inspection they said that she didn't have a seat belt for the middle back seat..... it was a shoulder strap belt right at the top of the back seat!! For small basic things this place seems okay but DO NOT go there for anything else. They charge a fortune and do not seem to be thorough or communicate at all.

BEWARE THIS PLACE IS DISHONEST TO THE MAX - I first went to this shop about a year ago and they fixed a flat tire for me for free, and I was impressed and then went back a few months later to get four new tires and i was satisfied with the service. Recently (just last week) I went in to have my brakes looked at since I noticed a bit of a sound on the front right tire when braking. They told me I need a new wheel bearing and also that the broken wheel bearing somehow caused my caliper and brake line to break on that front right wheel. They said that I needed to fix both front brakes along with the right wheel bearing and that it would cost me $900 (this price included my oil change that was suggested at the time that I brought the car in to check my brakes, quoting only $29.95 for the oil change which I thought was a good price and agreed to it, yet on the bill the oil change part of the bill was $68.00 as they put a synthetic oil into my car, which I did not authorize and I was sitting for close to two hours in the waiting room, thus they could have asked me if I wanted a more expensive oil change. I paid for the oil change yet I was angry and I told them that. It took some time to get a price on what it would cost to fix just the wheel bearing, as I was thinking that maybe I could just start with that repair to begin with as I did not have the extra money to do the front brakes also. I left to go to work in New Jersey and the next day went to a Meineke shop that I had been to before to get a second opinion and I was told that there was nothing at all wrong with my brakes, caliper, or brake lines and that I only needed a wheel bearing fixed, which I did take care of and that took care of the noise in my right front wheel. It is shocking to know that they abused my trust and took advantage of me. I do think they need to be reported to authorities as this is a great travesty to all people seeking good help from them. The owner whistles all the time in a very high pitched whistling...I guess he is happy go lucky and does not care at all about ripping people off. His indifference is extreme cruelty!!! Think twice before taking your car here! I filed a complaint with BBB and also the Attorney General Consumer Complaints Dept. One of the main reasons that I was angered by what happened is that this owner pretends to care. When I called him to let him know that I was very angry at his deception he told me that he was going to give me back $50 at the time that I got my oil change done, yet when I was there paying for an over priced oil change that I did not authorize he did not offer me any money back for this error. This person behaves like a snake, pretends to really be good yet will secretly take advantage once you trust him; the worst kind of behavior for an automotive shop. What I found out about this place is that others have also filed complaints with the Attorney General in the past. Yet most unfortunately Auto Mechanic shops are not regulated by the state or government agencies. Only auto dealerships are regulated by the government. Thus it is very important to always seek a second opinion on repairs and also get to know more about your car and mechanics in general. take care and beware!

Very thankful for Singer Auto's wonderful service to 2 weary travelers. My husband & I had driven for 10 hours on 3/1 on our 2 day trip home to Massachusetts. We stayed overnight in MD on 3/1 and faced another 6 hours driving on 3/2 to get home. As we were finally getting on the road to head home that morning we got a tire pressure warning light which couldn't be ignored. We are in our 70's and were already quite exhausted from 10 hrs driving so that was very distressing for us. One phone call to Singer and they took us right in and repaired the tire which had a nail in it and did not charge us anything! I can't tell you how touched we were by the whole experience. It's nice to know there are such people in the world.

Do not recommend bringing car here if you want it returned as good as you left it. Damaged 3 wheels when mounting/balancing tires. Damaged paint when removing old weights. Technicians removed clearcoat and wheel paint by roughing up wheel surface prior to applying new weights so that they would “stick better.” Have had this done many times elsewhere and never before has anyone marred the wheel’s finish to ensure the weights stick – totally unnecessary and will be even more obvious when these weights are removed for next tire install/balance. Owner was not completely forthcoming in accepting responsibility – had to wait over an hour and a half just to show him the damage. Considering that they specialize in tire install, I expected more attentiveness and care. Your mileage may vary.

Hmmmm...I have to say after reading these reviews I am very puzzled. I have been using Singer for years. The only times I did NOT use Singer was when I bought a new car and had a warranty with free oil changes. I will not go back to a dealer ever for my service and perfect case in point here. A few years ago my car needed to go in for a recall and I took it back to the dealer. While they were repairing the recall the service manager calls me and tell me the brakes are bad and I need new ones. I ask him...can I get another week or so on them and he said yes. So next day I brought the car to Singer and asked them to check the front brakes. The owner came and brought me into the garage and showed me the brakes and said you have more than half of the life left on these pads...I drove on them for another 25K miles and saved myself a good amount of money. The honesty here was what I was looking for and then fact that i was able to save money. Cars are expensive, no getting around that, but Singer has yet to steer me wrong and if there is an issue, they are fast to repair. Yes sometimes I will have to sit for an hour or two, but again that is expected on a brake job or something like that and they tell me who long the repair will take. I bring a book and suck it up. If you are looking for an honest group of guys who wont rake you over the coals, they are the way to go here. Quick and inexpensive oil changes and very honest pricing that is shown to you up front before you give the go ahead on any major repairs. These bad reviews have me very confused, stick with Singer and you will be just fine! These is a reason why they have been around in the same place for so long. Keep up the good work guys!! Thanks.

Traveling with my family from NJ to NC while pulling rented 6 x 10 trailer. I felt alot of play while driving. My SUV was jerking alot. I decided to stop and have the hitch checked out. The first auto repair center I stopped at, the mechanic checked under the ball and said it was fine. I then stopped at Singer Auto and explained the problem. They immediately pulled my SUV and trailer into the bay while we sat in the very clean waiting room with coffee and used the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen for a repair shop. Aproximately 20 minutes later they pulled my SUV and the trailer out of the bay. They explained that the ball was installed incorrectly. The washer was installed under the 2 inch ball and not on the side with the nut. The guy at the counter said there was not charge so i left a nice tip. We were back on the road and the problem was solved. Thank you Singer Auto!!!!
