Just paid a different shop $1,400 to fix this places mistakes... It is a shame the stuff that Paulins broke had nothing to do with the work they even did.... Went in for a clutch replacement( took 8 days) to pick up a vehicle that won't start and took them an hour of hacking my wiring harness to pieces instead of doing it right.... They said they would only pay for damages they caused if I had them repair it.... Forget that noise. I'll have it done right.... Won't touch my vehicles again I should have known when I went in to check on it and they didn't even lock doors or shut my windows before they left my car in there lot overnight when I dropped it off..

Most horrible experience. You need to have excellent credit or else pay right away. I paid $562 for a bad fuel pump and two weeks later my car still isn't starting. So tell me, what the hell did I really pay for. Zero stars if I had a choice! Never again!

Scott is a knowledgeable tech and was super cool. I made a blunder while scheduling but he stayed late after closing hours to make sure I was taken care of and my truck was ready for snow. The price was almost half what tire warehouse quoted me. Also, for what it's worth, I watched this guy hand torque all my lug nuts. Most techs will slap a torque stick on the gun and buzz everything back on. Im very impressed.

Took my car in for an inspection, told me that I needed all 4 ball joints replaced gave me a huge quote, took it to my friend mechanic, he said all 4 ball joints were fine, and that the mechanics had lied. Took my car in for inspection at another location, ball joints were never mentioned and got a sticker. Warning to everybody get a second quote. I will not be going back to this garage.

Walked in unannounced for a routine balance/rotate. Ended up needing more work than I thought and not only was Duane honest and straightforward but he was able to complete all the work needed before closing that same day! A LITTLE bit pricier than some other places, but totally worth it for such friendly and timely service.

Didn't tighten all the valve cover gaskets or what ever they took a part to so my car was leaking and burning oil heavily, rookie mistake. They fixed their mistake for free, but my car still smells like burning oil from time to time. From my serveral experiences with them they don't fix the problem on your first appointment. I've had to go back on 3 different occasions to get the correct work done from them. Probably won't throw money at these guys next time I have an issue with my car

Brought my car in because my window was stuck down and left with it unfixed as they said the window motor was broken and they didn't have the part on hand which they would order and the part alone would be about 380 dollars. I took it to another place for a second opinion and they said that only my switch was bad which is about a 50 dollar fix with labor but whoever had taken my door off at Paulin' s has broken my window motor in the process so I would still need this replaced. I was also double charged on my card for the 60 dollars I paid them to break my window motor and had to have my bank recredit my account.

I typically visit the South Portland (Broadway) location. The guys there have always been tremendously helpful--flagging me to issues when I come in for routine stuff (like getting my snow tires put on). The last time they quoted me pricing I checked parts prices online--they were right in-line (or a little cheaper). They work quick and don't milk out the labor charges. Really understanding when I needed to reschedule an appt multiple times. Thanks guys!

I've had two different appointments at this location and was very pleased with the 1st appointment but not so much with the 2nd. I like the manager and the work and prices were good. I found them to be honest and trustworthy which is why I'm giving them the rating however, the person that worked on my brakes really did get a lot of grease in my car. Enough so it was noticeable but I'll still go back.

Been going here for a few years and should have stopped way sooner. Put up with ridiculous mistakes multiple times because they had a decent manager. They have a new one now that's terrible. Last time I took my 2005 Honda Civic to get an inspection sticker and they told me $800 worth of work with the biggest thing needing rear control arms. Knowing their history I took it to get a second look from somewhere else, control arms were brand new and the only thing needed was an alternator which they didn't mention at all. The alternator was so bad that it actually left me stranded and had to have it towed. They also told my brother his truck needed a new engine and that he should junk it. He got a second opinion and it needed something minor and the problem was totally fixed. This place started bad and has continued to get worse over the years. If you don't want to spend a bunch of money on something that won't fix your car, don't take it here.

I used to go to this garage. USED TO. They seem to be nice and know what they are talking about, they even helped me out of a jam with a flat tire. BUT when I had my headlights "Buffed out" their tech splattered the buffer all over my engine! They "forgot" to add oil once, when I got an oil change. Lastly, my heater had stopped working. I went and they "Flushed" the coolant several times($300 worth of flushing). Still no heat. Then they said, "oh must be a blend door, we can do that! It will be a days work." 8 business days later, (not counting the weekend so 10 days). My car is ready...They scratched my dashboard(which was pristine) all to hell, broke the gear shift panel, and NO HEAT! Then they actually tried to charge me for it!(The refunded me when I demanded it). I asked to speak to the owner multiple times and they kept pawning me off to a manager. They promised they were going to replace the damage they had caused to my vehicle, I even brought it back so they could take pictures. I never heard from them again. I have never been so enraged in my entire life.

I do not recommend taking your car to Paulin's. Making an appointment is pointless since even if you call ahead they operate on a first come first serve basis. Both my sister-in-law and I have received exceptionally slow service. I had them service my car's horn, which they said had to be replaced. The horn still does not work and they did not fix it when I brought it in again. Prices aren't competitive to put up with bad service.

These guys were amazing! My wife and I were driving from Acadia to Portland late at night and we hit a poor animal along the way. After a little while, we noticed a rattling sound coming from the car whenever we would go over 50 mph. We had to drive back down to NJ the following morning, so I took the car over to Paulin's early the next day and they fixed up the car for us right on the spot. It was a very minor repair, so they actually did it free of charge! We had no problems the whole five hours down to NJ. Thank you so much guys, God bless you!

Stopped here while on vacation in Portland. Our check engine came on after valet’ing our car so we stopped in here on our way out of town.
