Went in at 7 I was the first one there. On the appointment board the appointments started at 8. A lady came in after me they took her before me. They said I won't be seen until 8, but they had like 4 8am appointments. I guess they would have kept pushing me back. Since Marcus left this place has been the sh$ts. Been coming here for years with my family as well. Find another place. They are rude and will dismiss u. I'll be calling HQ Monday.

Clean (for an auto service place). Polite. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't ask for. And all for a competitive price. Service took a little longer than quoted (I always drop my vehicles off though, because anywhere you go you wait longer than expected so it didn't inconvenience me), but not enough to put me off. Again, didn't bother me, but keep it in mind.

A little disappointed but they made it right. I had ordered tires with outlined white letters. Tech mounted them with the black sidewalls facing out. I actually blame myself as much as anyone for not telling them I wanted the OWL side facing out. However to his credit Larry Martelli the manager apologized and said they should have clarified what I wanted, and gave me 2 free oil changes. I will say I was impressed that all four tires initially were mounted balanced and an alignment done in an hour. So they handled it well

I wish I could give them a better score because the employees there are nice people. My problem is that it takes so long to get anything done. I had tires shipped there for them to install. I was told that it would take about an hour and a half to install the 4 tires, balance them, and then get an alignment. It took almost three hours, then I had to come back because one of the tires had a defect. When my wife brought the car back to have the last tire put on she was told it would take half an hour (to put on ONE tire??). She was there for almost an hour and a half. I have a real problem with places that give you a time estimate and do not live up to it. I once had my tires rotated and balanced there a few years ago, and again, took longer then they said it would.

Vinnie is great! He tells you exactly what you need for service and points out which things can wait for service. Always helps in an emergency, such as when the temperature drops and your tire sensors send alarms.

Always having a good experience. I generally go for a oil change and had my car brake pads replaced. They did quite a good job. Sales folks are courteous and knowledgeable . They are easy and flexible with appointment scheduling. And I assume the mechanics & technicians are good with what they do. Thank you NTB - Shrewsbury!!

Great job. Really nice. Super honest. My first experience there and they did a great job. I will be back!! They handled a disgruntled customer with poise and delivered excellent customer service skills while I waited and watched. They offered him several options but nothing was going to please him. Really, he walked in demanding immediate service and refused to wait. "Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." The staff really handled it calmly and professionally. For the love of GOD I need there to be a NO STAR option. I went in for my appointment at NOON for a front end alignment and 2 new tires. I left out paying 350 for just 2 new tires and NO DAMN ALIGNMENT. I was told after, while the reciept was printing that I didn't get what I came there for because I needed a part that I didnt even freaking need! I had a deild day explaing this to corporate and in exchange i got a discounted alignment which I will be recieving at the NTB in WALDORF WHERE THEY PROVIDE THE BEST SERVICE. Avoid this place like the plague.

Just a minor thing; I waited in the waiting room with no working vending machine and I don't drink coffee. There seemed to be a lot of loud swearing that could be heard in the waiting area, personally, I'm not offended, but there was a mother with a young child within hearing range.

The customer service here sucks spent $1100 on a new set of tires no appointment bought the lifetime balance now every time I go to get tires rotated I have to have a appointment or its 3 to 4 hours wait before they can even get started will never buy anything else here

Seriously the worst staff(Outside of Travis) and Auto Service shop in the world. DO NOT GO HERE!!! You will wait all day in line for them to come out 3 hours later and tell you their mechanic is gone for the day IF one even shows up at all. Went there to simply get A Rotor and Brake pad changed for ONE tire and after a two week process the job STILL didn't get done. By the end of the ordeal I was told to make an appointment so I did for Wednesday at 3pm. I get there and the so called mechanic told me he couldn't get the job done today. Keep in mind it's 3pm and they close at 7 and I just needed one rear brake and rotor changed. So anyways the Manager "Kevin" told me the bring my car first thing in the morning and he promised it would get done. The next morning I was the first one there. Went in, dropped the keys off, and asked "Tim" who was the worst out of everyone there would the car be ready by 5pm and he said absolutely. I left and went to work thinking everything would be ok. I call them from work at about 2:30 to get an update and they tell me " oh we are just getting to your car". I WAS THE FIRST ONE THERE. Anyways I'm like ok. So after work I get there at 5pm only to see that my car never left the SAME SPOT I parked it at this morning. Never even been touched. I ask questions and Tim is just like "our mechanic isn't here and we don't know when he's coming back or when we are going to be able to get to your car." Keep in mind that the EXACT same mechanic who I spoke with the day before was literally standing right next to him. This is the same mechanic who went on and on about how hard it is to change Kia optima brake pads and rotors which is why he couldn't do it the day before. They just don't care about you in that place and will blatantly lie to your damn face. No one should ever trust them with their car or spend your hard earned money there. Just go to the NTB in Lanham. Literally took my car there and everything plus more was fixed in the same day with no additional fees. NTB central avenue SUCK. If I could give zero stars I would

Very busy seemingly understaffed but the manager and his employees were excellent in service and patient with customers trying to explain their problems. The work was excellent but I'm very impressed with customers service. It takes so little to make a customer feel important and that they are in good hands. I highly recommend this NTB.

5 stars because compared to terrible experiences and incomplete oil changes: NTB does a good job. It is not the cheapest place but sometimes you get what you pay for and they did not try to sell me on unnecessary extras.

I went in at 11 for four tires and an alignment and didn't leave until after 2 without the alignment. I was told it would be a 2 hour wait at the most, after the third hour and seeing multiple people come in after me and leave before me I began to ask questions. They neglected to tell me they did not have 2 of the tires and they had to go out to get them(only found out after asking questions after 2 hours). After 3 hours i was told it would take another 40 minutes for the alignment. I told the woman at the front desk that I no longer wanted the alignment and she caught an attitude with me since I did not want to be there another hour. Lack of communication and customer service are the reasons I will never return.

This store is one of the worst for repairs and customer service. I had a tire repaired they destroyed the rim. The guy at the counter, Roger, has the worst attitude and very offensive. After several weeks of excuses they replaced the rim. I brought my company car there for an oil change and tire rotation, two days later they were done and only rotated one side along with not knowing how to reset the tire monitors. I gave them one more chance yesterday to do a tire repair. They had my car for two days and I had to call several times just to get them to finish. I would suggest another shop to anyone needing service work.

I've had mixed experiences with this location. They're sometimes helpful but making an appointment doesn't mean much. I've waited over an hour after my appointment for my car to be brought in. I've also had it held against me a couple times that the lady at the front desk was on the phone. My very first appointment was rescheduled 3 times after getting there and the tires weren't available.

I had 2 front flat tires on Columbus Day morning and had to have my car towed somewhere to replace my tires. NTB was the only local place open at 7am and since I was trying to still make it to work at a decent time. I knew that I needed 4 new tires and I was mentally prepared for that plus an alignment. Between the time that my car was towed there and I arrived, I had found a brand of tires that were highly rated for my vehicle and were in my budget. They also showed as "in stock" on their site. I arrived at this location and was greeted by a woman who told me "we don't have much to offer you but these tires" and went through the details of a set of tires in a different brand and about $30 more/tire than I was looking for. After she was done I showed her the tire I was interested in on my phone and she defensively said "We don't have those in stock" and I said "but it is showing in stock online" and she said "we only have 2" and since her screen was facing me and I could see on her screen they were in stock I pointed to her screen and said "but they show here in stock." She then backtracked and tried to say they weren't there that morning (it was 8:15am at this point) and fine she will give them to me. I could tell she was aggravated with me. She also tried to explain to me how I MUST have their roadside hazard service added to my bill since I will need that and I explained that I was not interested and I had AAA. She snapped that "this is not AAA" and "it's not that expensive only $78" - um, that's expensive! And I don't want it! She reluctantly took it off my bill. She told me the service would take 1.5 hours and so I went to sit and wait. Well... I wish that after 2 hours of sitting there I could say I had my tires and alignment and was on my way... but no. After 2 hours of sitting there, with my car in view up on the lift, original tires never taken off, the same woman came into the waiting area and told me "well, your car needs A LOT of work, it is in rough shape" to which I looked at her utterly confused. She then went on to give me a $3000 estimate for "work that is a MUST" on my car. She told me my car does not "stop," that the "rear brakes are not working at all and must be completely rebuilt for $950" that I needed $750 worth of struts on the front, brand new brakes on the front, sway bars on the back and I don't even know how many other things... but literally $3000 worth of work. She was COMPLETELY condescending. She just kept telling me how much this work was "a MUST" - It was so out of line, I don't even know what to say. They didn't even take my wheels off my car and "saw all of this work that needed to be done!" I felt as if they saw me, a young girl with my old car and thought "let's hose her out of thousands of dollars" - it's horrible. I asked her for the tires and she told me they would NOT align it without replacing my control arm first (she told me it was "broken") so I told her to just place the tires on my car and I will go elsewhere. I brought my car to my long time trusted mechanic this weekend - he replaced my control arm (which he said was not even that bad and also was definitely not BROKEN) and he looked over the rest of my car and said that I in NO WAY needed any of the recommended work from NTB. The attention to detail and wait time at NTB is HORRENDOUS and the way that they try to get people to spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary work is STEALING. Not to mention the fear that they put into people about supposed car repairs is immoral and wrong. I will be reporting them to the BBB and corporate as I really feel like they not only "upsell" but scam innocent customers out of money and prey on their emotions. They should be ashamed of how they run this business.

Actually I go there and early and they took and I waited my usual hour and a half, yet I asked the customer service representative to see if they could replace some windshield wipers,I had already bought on to my car and it was clearly ignored by either the representative or the technician. That was my only downfall to the oil change service in which I have been getting my car done there for a good three and a half years and never been stirred wrong.

The lady at the front desk seems confused. She called for "next" twice and when I walked up she proceeded to tell me that others were ahead of me. Not the case as I had asked the lady who was in front of me and she had already had a run in with this lady and wanted to wait for the gentleman to return. The lady at the front desk then asked around the room if people were being assisted even my mother who was with me and then when no one stepped up, she promptly forgot about me and started working on other things. I ended up being seen by the gentleman, who was professional and had great customer service.

Had a really bad experience here. They failed to install one of the four tires I paid for correctly. Didn't even bother to inflate it. Unfortunately I didn't look close enough and had driven a little ways down the road before I noticed how wobbly the drive was. Could have caused serious damage to my car, or worse could have caused me to have a collision. When I went back, feeling this was a fairly emergent situation, it took them over an hour to even bother to deal with me, and only after a lengthy conversation with their corporate hotline. I will not be going to this or any NTB location in the future. I just don't trust that their organization prioritizes safety.

I have twice now made an appointment, the first time for new tires the second for a rotation, and both times I have waited over 3 hours for what should have been a quick job. Both times they come to me having NOT done what I was there for but with a laundry list of other stuff that I should get done, always about $800-900. Then when I say no they go ahead and actually do the service I was scheduled to get done hours ago. Their customer service is awful. They try to take advantage of you, they never check in. Don't come here even if it's free or a deal. They are lazy at best and possibly scam artists.

My dad had all four of his tires replaced on his Silverado 2 days ago. So I needed to go there last night because they didn't get the tire pressures correct, they were way off. I was driving around with as low as 30psi on three tires. I had no appointment at all, I understand there needs to be a wait. I walked in the door asking for air on the tires my dad purchased and I had a rude guy who I'm guessing is the manager, tell me "I don't know who your dad is." didn't even bother to lookup a service number or my dam last name to do something so simple. I waited well over 40 minutes to get air in tires that were already paid for. They didn't even apologize for not doing the air pressure correctly. Don't come here.

Great service, mechanics are very knowledgeable, best place on the south for a precision alignment. They guarantee the work for 6 months so you can bring it back at no charge. They also offer a 5 year alignment that can be transferred to another car/truck, and since I drive off road that’s a great deal!!!! The allignment rack is less than 1 year old, which is a big deal if you are looking for a precision alignment. The older alignment racks have more issues due to dirt/oil/grease over time.

I asked to get an oil change at 11:30. I was told it would be done in 2 hours and that I would receive a phone call when it was done. I was walking back at 1:30 and my car was already up front with no phone call. When I walked inside to pay the two people working were arguing in front of customers. The one I spoke to was complaining about his CO worker to me. Poor customer service. I wouldn't go back.

Went in for a state inspection at the Salem NH NTB. Tech came out felt my tires and told me I was going to need 4 new tires. Then quoted me $1300 for 4 tires for a Chevy Malibu. I asked them to do the inspection anyway to make sure nothing else was wrong. Came back 1 hr later and my car hadn’t moved. Went inside and was told they forgot about it!! I took my keys and left. Stopped at a local tire place they looked at my tires and said the are good to pass state inspection. Went to meineke the next day and the car passed with no problems. Not sure if this is normal parctice to sell tires or something but it won’t ever be to me anymore!! Maybe you should look into customer service skills of your Salem NH team!!!

Probably the cheapest place for branded tires. Along with complete tire services from rotation to alignment, they also perform oil change, AC service and other repairs. Professional approach and knowledge is the key feature of the crew here. Reasonable costs and charges. Highly recommended.

He took his time to help me get the tires that were right for me, even when the phone kept ringing and a line of people waiting, and was extremely knowledgeable. I went to NTB to have a new tire put on and an alignment done. After waiting for 5 hours to have these simple tasks completed, they destroyed parts of my BMW. They cooked my tie rods to the point that they were ruined and had to be replaced, the alignment was so far off that all of my tires were ruined and also had to be replaced. These guys couldn’t even get the tires balanced properly. They single handedly caused $2000.00 worth of damage. I am completely disgusted with this “establishment.” (And I use that term very loosely given the fact that the staff was also very rude.)

Short and sweet: this place is reliable, convenient, and affordable. I feel confident going here as a woman without my dad or another guy to “check” on what they are saying. It has a small town local business feel (they remember you even if you have only been there once!). My car needed an inspection and Dan R fit me in right away, he was kind and helpful from the door. Remembering my name, and that I was in for an oil change before. It was a Saturday but they had me in and out for an inspection / tires in under an hour! They were super slammed that day but they still sent someone to another store to pick up what I needed and squeezed me in later that day, they even gave my kids and I a ride to and from dinner so we could enjoy our last evening of vacation while they fixed my car and I was able to drive home safely the next day. The people here are very nice and my car was taken care of but it took forever. I ordered new tires online, Monday June 5th, which was a really nice option to have and easy to do but didn't work out quite so well. I'll explain further, but if you don't want to read the rest.... bottom line - don't book anything online, my car didn't get it's tires until June17th.. At "checkout" (you don't pay online but pay when the work is done) it told me "Based on our current inventory availability. Schedule as early as , Thu, Jun 08." So I did. Dropped off my car, drove away with my ride and got a call 10 minutes later that the tires weren't in yet and I would get a call next week when they were in. So what as the point of the note when checking out that I could schedule on that date? I called the following week on the 13th and had to explain again what was going on. I was told that no one sees the ticket in the shop until the tires come in (even though I had been there the week before inquiring about all this). I was also told that the truck wouldn't come with the tires until Wednesday morning, the 14th and they would call me. I didn't get a call so I called on Wednesday and the tires were there but not logged in yet I guess and that is why I didn't get a call. They then said the earliest I could get an appointment to get my new tires on my car was Friday the 16th which I took. I didn't get to pick up my car with my new tires until Saturday the 17th. So this whole process took almost 2 weeks! I did select tires that were not at the store and could have chosen tires from the store, but wanted these particular tires, so that would have sped up the process. But the point is there is no talking between the online website process and the actual store. And the fact that the tires were in Florida and would take a while to get to S.C. was not indicted on the website when checking out, it made me think I could have new tires in 4 days not 2 weeks. The store was very nice to work with, the company needs to figure out the online process or just do away with it totally. Very frustrating. If I had not had a great value on these tires, and a spare car, I would have gone somewhere else.

When I dropped off my vehicle I was told an hour and a half—that in itself was misleading and frustrating but okay, if that’s the time it takes then I’ll make it work. Fast forward to 1:30pm, hour and half later Ive come to pick up my car, it’s parked in the same spot I left it and nothing has been done. What a great experience! NTB is great! Oops, yesterday my tire was going flat, a large screw was the cause. I have an air compressor and filled the tire. It was just after lunch and I ran out the minute I inflated the tire. I stopped at 3 places where they were kind, but could not fit me in the schedule. The 4th stop was Mavis Tires and I was treated horrendously. (If I could review that company it would be a minus star rating.) Then I remembered NTB, I had been a customer prior, but had forgot in my panic. The gentleman behind the counter was the model of a service driven employee. He was, I assume, a mechanic, not counter, yet jumped on the computer and tried to see if there was a way to get me seen. By this time I was at the 5th stop and it was getting late. His actions were so different from the last stop, you would not have known it was late Friday afternoon and most mechanics are ready to go home. He could not get me in, and offered me a Saturday appointment. I jumped at the chance. They had a 4PM opening and I gratefully accepted. My appointment was on the schedule. I added an oil change when I got there. Mainly because of the service I had received prior to getting the work done, good service makes me want to give a place my business. My truck was taken in at 4 PM exactly, even with a packed parking lot! Then, the best news, they could save the tire. Most places tell you that it can't be repaired and it needs replaced. (These are high dollar big truck tires that had maybe 2k miles on them, financial devastation if not repairable!) Plus, the job went quickly, it was not a take the truck in and then work on another, they immediately went to work on my vehicle. The entire service experience from getting an appointment to paying up was exemplary. I will be back. The service is as good as it gets.

I purchased 4 tires last month. Very good job. Written quote was reasonable and accurate when I returned to have the tires installed. They listen and did not push a "sell" on extras, or another brand tire. I returned in the next 2 weeks with a slow leak in one of the tires twice. They resealed one of the tires, then found a loose valve stem. (The valve stem problem was existing before the tires were installed.) Both visits were no charge and the wait was reasonable. I did have the oil changed and an inspection on one of the visits for a reasonable charge. The cool thing was the manager knew his tire and rim technical stuff AND could succinctly explain it to the customer. Why four stars and not five stars? I believe NTB could take the opportunity to jazz up/brighten up the sales floor to assist customers on basic car care. I would recommend NTB in Salem, NH.

I came to get my leaking tire checked, as well as , oil change and possible alignment. I had been bringning my car elsewhere and they could not find the problem with my tire. It turns out there was a small nail causing the leak. NTB found it. Without getting into all the details I found Dan Niquette to be knowledgable and extremly helful. No pressure, no hassle, just good service. He went so far as to make sure I kept my tire lock (which I did not know about) in my glove box instead of the trunk where it was from time of purchase! He thought it would be helpful for me if I knew where it was in case I had trouble on the road! I did, in fact come back the next day for other services which were recommended and matched the symptoms my car was exhibiting! Wait time was within normal limits and I am overall very pleased!!

The manager, Larry Martelli, is a really great person and he always strives to make the customer happy. You won't find a better crew (maybe 1 or 2 mechanics need to be more conscientious about their work) because there was a time when something was not put back on underneath my car and I had to bring it back, or the mileage sticker was not put on after an oil change, but overall the service is excellent.

I typically do not write reviews, but the experience from the phone call held with the representative was poor and unprofessional. The man had an issue with repeating his name. I personally like to address people by their name. When asked to repeat the gentleman decided it was of best interest to repeat the entire NTB slogan in a slow and belittling tone. After looking pass his actions I began to explain my problem and asked if the store had any available appointments today. Again, in a rude and unprofessional manner without asking about the Make/Model/Year of the car, I was told "just bring the car in". I continued to explain how I spoke with another store and just wanted to make sure the proper things were put in place before driving to the location. Even after telling the representative that the location was closer, I was then told, "well you should take your car there since you have a relationship with them". I informed the gentleman that the other store is awaiting their call to confirm that I spoke with them. The representative, whose name I cant recall even after the belittling, stated he will contact the store and return my call. I had to offer the gentleman my name and number because he chose not to ask. This has been an extremely unpleasant experience, and this is base of a phone conversation. I'm a little uptight about dropping my car off. When running a business it is important to make sure the employees on the front are invested in their job. Otherwise you will continue to receive the poor reviews left on this website.

The people were super nice and friendly. However, the service was absolutely terrible. I arrived at 4:40 for my appointment. It took about 5 minutes to check me in, not that big a deal garages are usually always busy. I was told it should be about 45 mins maybe an hour at most. HOWEVER, it took from 4:44 to 6:48 for a 4 wheel alignment. Now I can certainly understand if it took the whole hour, but two hours for a 4 wheel alignment is not at all acceptable. After an hour someone could have at least let me know, hey we are a little backed up or whatever the case may have been and it'll take a little bit longer, but no one said anything at all. During this time there were multiple issues with processing other customers payments, discounts not being applied, charging the wrong amount. There were no issue with processing my payment but I was certainly nervous about the swiping my card after seeing this with multiple customers. The only silver lining is the wheel alignment was performed beautifully and my car is riding so much better and the price was reasonable (one time 4 wheel alignment for a final total of 78.99, including a $20 online discount). Due to that I was slightly less pissed after leaving but I would never even consider returning or recommending the shop to anyone. If anybody wants to frequent this shop after reading this my recommendation would be to have a stack of material to read and a full cell phone charge, if waiting there. Or be prepared with a ride and ready to potentially wait at home for at least double you're estimated time.

If i could give a negative star i would! Took my vehicle in due to my compressor failing which in turn the bearing was messed up and the subsequent belt. Told them what the issues were and they said okay. After being there for 5 hours i went to check to see what was going on. Low and behold hey forgot to order the compressor. They get it rushed over and do the work. A day later my car starts making noise. Guess what they never replaced the bearing or the belt! Of course i go back angry and am told those didn't have anything to do with thr primary issue. Who cares i told you it needed to be checked and fixed! No discount or free service was offered at all. Not even a simple apology. Even if it was the last auto service on the planet i wouldn't return.

I accompanied my mom to get 4 replacement tires. We arrived pretty late on a Saturday (6pm) but we were accommodated. Kevin was very informative, patient and nice, despite the phone calls and numerous walk-ins after us. Kevin of course offered us an up sale (like any competent salesman/associate) but was also very honest about the lower cost tire options. Also, I received a price quote for myself AND was able to inspect the tire treads on the two possible tire options I was coming back to purchase for my vehicle. We were happy with the work which was done shortly after we came back from dinner; which I inspected when her car was rolled out and parked up front. We did not utilize the waiting room or restrooms so can't comment on that experience. The woman who checked us out, after closing, was cordial and professional. My mom stated to me later that she felt that her drive home was very smooth.

I honestly feel fooling writing this because I keep coming back to this location. However, I after my previous visit, I emailed to headquarters hoping that improvement would be made since they had to issue me a free oil change. I got my hopes up too far. This location is INCREDIBLY slow. The time to wait in line has never been less than 20 minutes. Also, the last two times I’ve came they forgot to call me to let me know my car was ready for pick up. I don’t know how long my car would have been sitting around if I didn’t call 4 hours after my actual appointment time. I thought those who made an appointment had priority.

This was the worst experience I've had in a long time. I am angry and feel disrespected based on the service I received. On 9 March, I made a mistake by bringing my vehichle for an oil change and to replace a tire in a Jeep. When the technician was attempting to return the spare time to the correction location, he broke the hoist leaving it hanging and dangling at the bottom of vehicle. After paying for the service and attempting to leave, I realize they left the spare tire just laying in the back of the jeep. I went back and asked them to return the spare to the stowage area. At that time I looked out at my vehicle and realize there was a cable hanging at the bottom. They were not going to tell me they had broken the cable wench mechanism and let me leave with a dangling cable under vehichle. The store manager showed little to no concern and couldn;t even look me in the eye when I brought it to his attention.

On February 26, 2019 I dropped my 2016 Toyota Camry off to have 4 tires installed that I bought online. My appointment time was at 4pm. After waiting nearly 15 minutes to even be helped, the service rep informed me that they were running behind and he'd call once my car was done. That call never came. I Uber'd back at 8:30 just on a whim only to discover them closed for the evening and my vehicle parked INSIDE. So I'm stuck calling ANOTHER Uber to get home. And out of luck on picking my son up from practice and my husband from the airport. What business CLOSES without making sure all it's customers are properly notified? Apparently this one. On the next morning when I came back and explained their error, I was met with the most nonchalant behavior. No apology. And ONLY at MY insistence was I offered a discount. Not only will I NEVER trust ANY NTB with my car again, I will speak against this company whenever possible. Don't be like me and ignore the horrendous ratings of this location. Take heed and take your business elsewhere unless you want your blood pressure up.

East Providence Rhode Island location ..I am not someone who posts complaints so please bear with me. I thought that going here was convenient as I drive by it every day on my way home from work. I am very dissatisfied !!! They did my synthetic oil change and tire rotation. When I got home (drove approximately 15 miles) later, I heard a noise from my engine compartment. I drive a 2015 Subaru Legacy with 30000 miles on it. My car has a large plastic engine cover that snaps on with two mounting pins. This was not put in properly and shifted while driving. My engine pulleys were rubbing up against it. Had to take a minute to reset it properly. Not sure why they couldn’t handle it there. I also wanted to add that the red rubber cover to my positive battery terminal was taken off during testing and not put back leaving my positive battery terminal exposed. But wait, there’s more. The next time I drove my car was the next morning and I hear a thump and a dragging sound coming from under my car. I pull over and find that a plastic shield that needs to be removed to drain the oil. It was dragging on the ground and was getting all torn up. This piece slides into place and is held in by 2 mounting clips/pins and one of them was missing. The shield was also covered with oil making me think the oil was either spilt or leaking. I was furious as I was on my way to a doctor’s appointment in Boston and had to return home and take my wife’s car. I called in and spoke to a manager who apologized and asked me to take the car back which I did. I told the manager I wanted to see under my car and when he comes back he shows me pictures on his phone. The car was in the lot waiting for me . He put a tie wrap on the shield holding it in place and said all is fine. He was apologetic, and advised me to “bring it back” if I have any more trouble. They lost one of the pins and I guess a tie wrap is a good replacement. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE EVER AGAIN !!! I went to autozone and bought replacement clips and will be climbing under my car this weekend to put them on. NTB location in East Providence Rhode Island was a disaster and I cannot say again how disappointed I am. Sorry for rambling on, Peter

My oil change took OVER an hour and a half, I've never had an oil change take over 30 mins. The employee told me he "ran out of oil"-normal, conventional motor oil.... My vehicle started making an awful noise after leaving the lot, and coincidently the vehicle started over heating the day after. Checked the coolant and it was low (NEVER had an issue with this before)- Added some and no issues with that since, but still super coincidental and strange to say the least. I am having the noise checked out / repairs made elsewhere. -- Also going to add that the quote they gave me was for some extra, added things I did not need repaired. The parts that the tech said I needed were brand new! Had my vehicle looked at and repaired elsewhere, for FAR less than quoted here.

I came in to get my alignment for my car and they denied me because I previously bought an alignment and the guy told me I had a 1 year warranty and he told me I could come back within that year. So I came back within the year to find out they don’t want to vouch my 1 year warranty because the previously guy didn’t put down that I have 1 year. All they tried to do was give me “discounts” but they just want your money. Moral of the story if they offer you anything always make them sign a copy of what they are offering you because they will go back on it if you don’t have proof.

Purchased winter tires 6 days ago. Tire pressure light came on 2 days after. 1 tire over inflated, 2 tires lost a good amount of air. Took it to another NTB. 1 tire has a rip between where the tire and rim seal. All tires have old valve stems. These are 6 day old tires. The front office staff I've spoken with have been nice. I called someone there today, and he was nice. The 1 star is for the poor quality of work. The 1 tire was unsafe and my wife and child drive/ride that car. Unacceptable.

I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service! Usually when I go to get my car fixed they just take my keys and not much is said. Tire and service work is ok. Just make sure they don't up sell you to something (service) you don't need. I had originally reviewed as 4 stars for my tire service, but then went back for an oil change... Went back for another try. Waiting area is disgusting. After my oil change they told me I was OUT of antifreeze. I asked if they could top it off (like any other quick oil change company) and I was told they could do an exchange for $95. Stopped at Pep Boys and grabbed a gallon for $12. I won't be back and suggest you stay away as well. Last time I went in they told me my front brakes were shot, this time I asked and they said they were fine after I refused the coolant exchange. Hmmmm. Be weary.

NTB is the best service you can get and I recommend this location to everyone! I came late on a Thursday after discovering my tire was leaking air and had a 55 mile commute home. Everyone was so busy they had working that at first they didn’t think they would be able to help me. Chris, offered to do it and went above and beyond with service. Without his kindness and NTB’s late hours I don’t know how I would have made it home on a spare. I hope NTB has him interface with all their customers because he is the reason I will always be a customer now.

Charged more than what i expected. Ordered my Tires from TireRack and sent straight to location as per one of their suggested installers. Tires installed, 4 tires balanced, TPMS sensors installed (higher price than Tire Rack Quoted), all wheel alignment (not real sure that was needed), Synthetic Oil Change (Advertising $19.99 for conv/blend: not what I was charged) Didn't receive back the two usable tires on vehicle that could have been saved for future use. They couldn't find them. Told me to go look on my own (insurance hazard?) Took vehicle back 5 days later to have rebalanced. Did not feel correct. Tire pressure light on dash still on. Mentioned it to them both times: They said, "It would turn off in 4-5 miles" TPMS light still on. It's been day's. Do I dare go back? Over $250 worth of work. Lost two usable tires, if, I had needed them in the future and the "IDIOT" Light is still on for tire pressure.

Don't go there if you value your time and money. I had an oil change there..... Which took an hour and a half.... Most of that time the car was in the bay. I'm guessing the reason it took so long is because they messed up my plug for the oil pan. They didn't tell me about this. I went to get new tires at another place the next day and they said I needed an oil change.... Apparently I had leaked out a good deal of oil after the change and was down 3 quarts. Very happy I had to get tires that day or my engine would have seized on my way to NJ the next day. As it was, I had to cancel my trip. NTB offered to fix my car for parts only, free of labor, since they were "partially at fault". They estimated the cost of parts around $800-900. I didn't want them touching my car again and my regular mechanic was able to fix it for $186. Consider yourself warned. A simply oil change may result in a much bigger repair.

2nd oil change and no rotation and greasy hand prints. Last visit upon picking up my truck I noticed the front tires were still slightly cupped. After bringing to service writers attention I got a story about the floor having a crack and they couldn't lift my Superduty diesel. But only after I questioned the cupping still on the front tires. I was told I can take it to another location for the rotation. Instead I rotated them myself. Back to today. I told service writer of my last experience and he assured me the tires would be rotated... again I mentioned it several times at drop off. When I picked up the truck the invoice showed a tire rotation and I questioned the other service writer who billed me out and he assured me they were rotated. I went out and immediately noticed nice flat tread on the rear tires and cupping on the fronts, just as before. The writer questioned the mechanic who fessed up that he did not rotate them. I have been coming to this store for 10 years or so. I have purchased tires, service and maintenance for many vehicles... it stops with this last visit. The greasy hand prints were the icing on the cake. I do have to wonder about a set of tires from several years ago that wore out prematurely and I was told I didn't rotate them enough. When I said they were rotating with oil changes I was told it was a bad alignment.. gotta wonder...

Hands down the most unprofessional experience I have ever had . I brought me vehicle to NTB of Newington on 11/4 to purchase 4 new tires and get an alignment. After scheduling a 2pm appointment I dropped my truck off earlier that morning. After paying for the services provided I asked for the alignment report and immediately noticed that out of the 6 adjustments 3 were still completely out of spec with measurements exactly the same as when I brought it in. The next morning when I pull on to the highway my truck is handling erratically and pulling to the side. I then called and spoke with Lianna Schweiger who had cashed me out. I explained to lianna that my truck feels unsafe and she had sold me tires, and an alignment, without actually doing an alignment and how that would prematurely wear down the brand new tires I had just bought and potentially cause an accident. I was then promised a return phone call by someone that was able to explain the alignment report, 36 hours later and Still no phone call. By 11/8 I had still not received a phone call and finally called back. I was able to talk to someone competent enough to explain the alignment report, and their excuse was that the tools required to align my truck were in storage and they couldn’t finish it. NTB of Newington sold me new tires and charged me for an alignment that they never completed, without telling me, knowing that this would cause the tires to wear down prematurely. This constitutes as an illegal business practice and I will be filling a formal complaint with my state attorneys general office.

I ordered my run-flat tires from Tire Rack, on-line, and the recommended installer was NTB in Murrells Inlet. After a few days on my new set of tires, I got a "low tire" warning. Before returning to NTB to have them check it out, I checked the tire pressure of all the tires to confirm I didn't have more than one that was running low. I discovered that all of the other tires were over-inflated, and two of those were WAY over-inflated. The pressure for the fronts, as indicated on the driver-side door jam, is supposed to be 32 PSI. Mine were at 37 & 42 PSI. The non-flat rear tire was at 37 PSI, when it should have been filled to 35 PSI. After correcting the pressure, I went to NTB to have them check-out the leaking tire. They found that the valve stem wasn't installed correctly, or had come loose (really?). It's hard to believe that a tire store would botch an installation as bad as they did on this job, but, every tire had an issue. I recommend staying away from NTB in Murrells Inlet.

I had a control arm replaced on my vehicle at this location about a month ago. The price for the repair was very reasonable, scheduled quickly and the work was performed in a timely fashion. I recently started to have a vibration issue and found another small problem that I wasn't sure was related to the work they had done, but was in very close proximity. I called and explained what I had found, brought the car down right away (without an appt), they brought the car in immediately, verified it was not related to the previous work but corrected at no charge nonetheless. Appointments mean nothing. I had a 10:00am appointment for new tires. Vehicle was not brought into work area until after 12:15pm. I was told it'd take a few hours when I scheduled my appointment. I didn't leave till almost 2:00pm. Had they started work at appointment time I'd have been gone before noon. Unacceptable to take almost 4 hours.

Ask for a alignment, tire rotation and balance. They did not balance. Partly my fault for not checking the work order. However when my wife drove home, she got a tire pressure light on. When she got home, I checked using two gages. Rear tires at 36 and fine. Front tires at 40. They are supposed to be at 32. I called and informed them of their error. This is not the first time I had problems with ntb. They charged my daughter for an alignment when she had a 5 year policy. It took 2 months to get reimbursed. They rotated only 2 of 4 tires on my van. I mark my wheels so I can tell. Ntb in Seabrook is even worse. I bought my wife's car in for an alignment 3 different times. Each time they had a different excuse why it was not done. I left it for a full day and they still did not get it done. I suspect they never aligned my van because when I brought it to portsmouth the mechanics could not loosen both tie-rod lock nuts after years of going to Seabrook. I was getting an alignment 2 times a year at Seabrook and when I go to portsmouth they say the nuts are rusted in place. They said both sides were rusted and gave a $400+ estimate to replace them. I brought the van home, checked and confirmed the right was rusted tight . It was tough but I eventually got it free. The left side just took normal force. I antisiezed both sides and returned to ntb to complete the alignment. Needless to say, once my alignment policies end, I am gone. Sadly I still have time left on my policies and bought the life of the tire balance and rotate

Stopped by to have air added to my motorcycle tires. Kid got the air chuck stuck because he didnt know how to use it ended up ripping and pulling my valve stem halfway out of the wheel I asked for a screw driver to push it back in hoping it would leak, but the damage was already done. I laid on the wet ground and pushed it back in myself. He walked away as if there was something more important to do. If I wouldnt have seen the valve stem, It wouldve blew out while riding and i could've been in a SERIOUS accident and there would be a major Law suit. I made it home with the valve leaking. And I removed my wheel from the bike at home. Took it back down for them to fix the valve stem. And they refused to fix it. They tried to claim their tire machine couldnt do a motorcycle tire. I worked at flynns tire for 5 years and used your same coats machine to mount it earlier this year. So I know it can do them. I had to drive to monroe muffler and THEY let me use their tire machine to change it I have the valve stem, and a picture of me mounting it at monroe. I will be contacting corporate. I've NEVER seen such poor customer service.

The only reason they’re getting any stars at all is because of Katelyn and Emanuel who I dealt with at the front desk. They were professional and were very helpful. 2.75 hours to install four tires. Hey said the lug nuts were over torqued and the tech had a difficult time getting them off (extra few minutes. As a result, they broke the lug nut key (custom rims). Fortunately, I had a spare otherwise I was SOL. Each time I looked into the bay where my truck was, the tech was literally sitting down not doing ANYTHING! This was several times during the almost three hours waiting. Decided to take a walk to the mall. Walked past the bay outside and guess who was sitting down again? Finally pulled the truck around and see that the tires were put on with the white letters facing out as opposed to black facing out as I wanted. Unfortunately, despite the great service at the desk, there is absolutely no way I’d go back to the NTB location.

I went to another auto shop in Murrysville called Jeff's autoshop and they looked at my tires and said all I needed was to get them rotated and my tires would last a long time. Im never going back to NTB ever again!!

I found a flat tire on my car this past Tuesday morning. A guy from Triple A put the donut on. I drove to NTB Tire and my car was taken in right away. They found a screw close to the side of the tire. I needed a new tire. They did not have one in the store just then. The person helping me said he hopefully would have the tire later in the day. He reassured me that I could drive with the donut on my car. I went to work. At 3:00, he called and said he went all the way to the Natick to pick up the tire I needed. I finished my work day and brought my car in. They took it right in and out the tire on. Within 20 minutes it was ready. Due to a warranty I have in the tires, I only had to pay for the labor. I was very happy with my experience.

The work was done well. The customer service is terrible. You walk in and the employees ignore you. Its almost as if you are bothering them. One employee was clearly assisting another customer. The other was tuned into a computer display. I waited several minutes for someone to acknowledge me(never did). I finally spoke up and said "Hello, Are you free?" He nodded and waived me over. I came here to replace a tire flat tire. AAA put air in the tire before arriving. My car sat so long the same tire went flat again. The mechanic working on the car drove the car into the garage on the rim then let the car sit for almost 15 mins before working it. While I waited for them to service my car I saw cars on lifts no one working, ppl standing around in conversations, mechanics on their cell phones. I've watched a mechanic bring a car after mine put on 2 tires and now on another car while my mechanic is still working on my car. This is my third time and my last at this location. I've been here since 8:45- 9:00ish and it took them almost 3 hrs to put on 2 new tires never have I ever waited this long. Not to mention they misplaced my order. I'm so done with this location!!!!!

WOW! they did it again. For awhile I've had problems with air coming out of my tries. I thought I needed new tires, so I spoke to Brian about getting new one. Well, when I come back to the store, a few days later, Brian looked at the tires, I was having problems with and stated, you still have tread on them, so let's see if something else is going on. They looked and I had rust on the rims, which caused air to leak out. The mechanic fixed it and NO MORE LEAKING is happening. They were HONEST, because they could have said you need new tires, but THEY DID NOT..They saved me MONEY and I thank them for doing so... Thank you so much Brian,Charlie and the mechanic who fixed my tires. Excellent JOB!!!

Purchased a set of BF Goodrich Tires for my 2005 Ford 150. When i arrived I specifically asked the service person if the tires I receive will be manufactured in 2018. Its important to me as I wanted to get the full 6 years out of the tire as I don't drive this car much. He stated they would be. If he had told me they were not i would have waited until they received some 2018 year tires in stock. When I picked up the car 2.5 half hours later (why it took so long is beyond me as it wasn't busy by any means) I noticed all the tires were manufactured in 2017. If I wasn't in a hurry to get my kid from school i would have told them to remove the tires and keep them!! Very disappointed. I recommend customers go to elsewhere.

No urgency for our emergency: We were on our way home to Florida from the Grand Canyon and had a tire crack. We explained that we needed to get back on the road quickly because we had another 6 and half hours to drive. They admitted that they were backed up and the wait was a few hours. I never do reviews but after the hassle they went through to get my flat tire fixed, I think they deserve one from me. I had a flat, and for multiple reasons was unable to get it to the shop. They weren’t too busy at the time and so were able to send someone out to my house to put a spare on for me and get it to the shop. Keep in mind, they don’t have a mobile service, they were just friendly enough to do so. I have an older car so they had trouble getting the spare off the bottom of my car (it was corroded) and also had to jumpstart my car after it died unexpectedly. After this, they only charged me for the tire and labor it would’ve required had I taken it to the shop myself. Wouldn’t even accept a tip. They were very friendly and gave advice to me where I needed it. I’ll be going there now for my tire needs.

Went in to get 2 new tires and they did it, no problem, but after getting on the highway (20 minutes after getting tires) my low tire light came on. Turned around and they fixed it but when I got my car back my open door/trunk light was on so I went and checked and it was my trunk. They had 0 reason to be in my trunk. I just want to say that I had an amazing experience with NTB Salem Nh. Not only did the mechanic Chris Carrell pick up the phone to discuss and answer my question that I had, but he said I could swing by and he could check it out quick. ( This was after I called a car dealership who did not pick up or return an email or voice mail message). I swung by 5 mins later. He actually walked out and met me at my car and took it for a test drive. He then put it on a lift ( all free of charge) to check issues. He had me come in and Physically showed me what the leak was I was seeing and was honest about costs If I chose wanted to fix it or even really needed to. I decided to let him do my oil change which was over due and was a Low price. He called me in to see a busted sway bar, but didn't demand that I get it done there. He Got me a very fair quote to compete for the business ( although I was already sold because of how professional and "real" he was). I decided to let him fix it so I scheduled an apt for the next AM and cancelled the dealer apt I had.. Chris had my car completed in 2 hours! Best experience i've ever had. Two sway bars installed, rotated tires, alignment. He even checked to see if A part I had in before was still under warranty. He was honest with the hours it took for the job even when some places say that mechanics can charge for up to 5 hours for that replacement. I'm very happy and saved a lot of money. Plus it was quick as I need my vehicle for work. Thank you Chris Carrell- I'll be back.

I had an appointment today at 10:00 am and all I was getting done for my car was a wheel stud replacement which is not much work at all. It took them 5 hours and I waited in their building for 5 hours for them to only tell me they "repaired" my studs and couldn't find a new one. They ignored me and totally gave up on me and let me sit there for 6 hours. If I was to go to any other shop, I would of been out of there 1-2 hours tops even with parts being delivered that they needed. One of my worst experiences of going to auto shops was going there. I am very disappointed and when I told half of the things they told me to the people at Advance Auto, they laughed. Thank you for wasting my whole day and charging me for barely any work. You guys are a bunch of jokes. I will submit a complaint to the corporate office in Florida. Went to have a tire leak checked on our Tesla Model S. All was going well until the worker took the Tesla for a joy ride. Unfortunately, for the worker, we were tracking him on our Tesla app on our iPhone driving around the Newington Mall area. Funny, the Tesla has an energy usage screen that can track spurts of high energy, meaning the petal was to the metal during most of his 4 mile tour. Not cool!

We was traveling through South Carolina with my 2011 Chevy Avalanche and travel trailer from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, and we camped at Myrtle Beach State Park. The 'engine check' light appeared on the dash and since I still had 2000 miles to travel, I wasn't willing to take any mechanical risks. Naturally, this occurred the day before we were scheduled to leave so it was imperative to find a garage, analyze the problem and make the necessary repairs. I happened upon NTB on Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet, SC and it appeared to be a reputable shop - clean and well equipped. The gentlemen inside put me at ease immediately with their courteous and cordial demeanor. They identified the problem, explained its significance, function and cost, and then fixed my truck within 3 hours of my arrival. I want to commend these gentlemen for their expedience, professionalism and compassion to visitors so far from home.

Quoted me $1312.00 for complete replacement on the front and back needed pads/rotors. Took to Mason in Pawleys, where Chad was great. I take my cars here all the time for the following: purchase tires balance rotate alignment etc. Only once out of all the times I have been here did I have an issue with an alignment but it was due to the fact that my truck is lifted and they compensated wrong brought it back and they made good on it right away using a more experienced technician. I think these guys do a great job and I will continue to bring my business to them. There is one service manager who stands out the most and in my opinion who I believe is the best one they have very nice guy super honest and knowledgeable his name is Chris Carrell. If you come across him expect to be well taken care of.

I booked an appt hours ahead. I walked in, Guys at NTB didn’t greet, there were two reps, one was busy the other wasn’t. I waited for 10 min. I was there on time at 2pm. They took too long to acknowledge I was even there no eye contact nor communicate it will be a few min. I saw the service screen and they overbooked for 2pm with 3 other people at the same time. Meanwhile, a guest/customer walked in after me and was greeted smiles and they welcomed him in to get the service he needs. I left and I would never do business with this location. Today around 12pm, I came into the store to get my flat tire fixed.Was told by a guy with short black hair that the wait was 2 hours. I declined to wait and he said I could make an appointment to come in later today. We made the appt for 4pm. My husband went in around 3:55pm and a heavier guy who saw me earlier told my husband the guy i booked with went home and never actually booked me in the system. He said he was too booked to do it and that he was short staffed and 2 people called out. If that's the case, why did the guy I booked with take off 2 hours early? 1st and 2nd experience was horrible here. Never again.

I wouldn't say I love coming here because that usually means I have something wrong with my car, but this place is great. The customer service is there, they have always been able to squeeze my repair in because it usually happens en route elsewhere, and the pricing is reasonable. I returned to NTB after buying a set of tires a few months prior to get a leak fixed. This service is free with my purchase. Problem #1: They were unable to get my truck in for three days. I should've better scheduled my flat around their schedule. So I scheduled the service for next available evening after work. Problem #2: After patiently waiting, I realized that they had no intention of doing the job. They had misfiled my work order and forgot about me. It took me 1-1/2 hours to get my tire fixed. If I had known, I would've paid someone else to fix it.

After Jiffy Lube crashed someone's car into mine while in the bay and after countless issues with Pep Boys including them putting the wrong size tires on my car. I was just looking for a place that I could trust to do my repair work. I had nothing to lose by trying NTB Salem and I'm really glad I did. Mike and the guys there have been really great and I can't say enough about them. When I last brought my car in for service there were a number of issues that I wasn't expecting and Mike explained the issues and was honest with me about the future cost of repair vs current trade in value. So with that information I decided to trade my car in for a new one. And I'll always bring that car into them now. BTW if you have to wait for service there are plenty of places within a short walking distance so that waiting just in the waiting room isn't really your only option as it is in many places.

scheduled an oil change...went to the store for my appointment. Stood at the desk for at least 10 minutes and no one came to the front. There is a chime on the door so they know when someone comes in. There was someone talking on the phone in an office right off the front desk area and he never bothered to look to see if there was anyone at the front who needed assistance when the chime on the door indicated that someone came into the store...instead of looking he kept talking on the phone. Unacceptable. Needless to say I left and did not get my car serviced at this place. Customer service is obviously not their strong point.

I had never even heard of this place before, let alone been to it or been reccomended to it - I found it thanks to Google Maps "tire stores near me" at 8:30am while helping a friend fix a flat tire (pay for a replacement)... They were polite, helpful, had good prices, and replaced my friends tire immediately and quickly. I was so impressed with their speed and prices that we paid for a second tire so my friend could return minutes later with his vehicle to have a 2nd new tire put on. The first two paragraphs are from a Facebook post I made recently... "Unbelievable. One of my coworkers had her car at [Salem, NH] NTB recently to have winter tires installed. In the process of working on her car, they snapped one of the studs using an air wrench, and immediately blamed "the last person who worked on the brakes." They wanted to charge her $100 to fix it! This afternoon, she brought it to my garage and we fixed the stud for less than $8. PLUS, we discovered that they biffed up ANOTHER stud but didn't tell her about it, so we replaced that one too. [Photo of the broken stud/lug shown]" Well NTB, meet the guy who last worked on her brakes... YOURS TRULY! I used a mechanical torque wrench to tighten those lugs to 76 lb/ft (which is the specification for that car) and you ripped them to shreds without a care in the world. Congratulations. I've been a DIY garage monkey for 15 years, and it absolutely blows my mind that professional mechanics won't own up to their own blunders. You shouldn't be taking advantage of your customers like this. I was more than happy to fix the damage that NTB caused, and then I happily referred her to Nashua Town Fair Tire who have given me (and lots of other people apparently... 4.8 stars on Google) many years of trouble free service.

Hi, my name is Rob, and I'm a Technician at the NTB that Kristin reviewed. I started there at the begining of November, and I have to point out some facts to everyone reading these. First, this shop is a fast paced shop with a dedicated team of Techs that have to be at the top of their game, everyday. We are the number 1 store in the Boston North region (which includes Woburn) on a DAILY basis. We don't stay on top by scamming people. My manager's personal moto is "Commitment to Excellance," and he doesn't settle for less. He does anything and everything possible to keep the customer happy. I can honestly say that I have yet see any tech in that shop write up a repair or service that a vehicle didn't need. That's one of many reasons I enjoy working there, as I have left dishonest shops because of lying to customers. I have a family, but I will not tolerate that, and won't be a part of it. Second, I am curious about when this C-RV came in. 14 NOV 2009 was a Saturday, which is our busiest day of the week. There is NO WAY my manager would allow a customer to wait for 2+ hours, or allow the vehicle to tie up a lift for that long on any day, especially Saturday. Third, if any tech, including myself, looks over your vehicle, we check everything in the 22 point inspecting list that every customer is entitled to. We even check items that may not be on that list, based on our professional experience. No one would have issued a list of recommendations without looking at the vehicle. We don't like mud in our faces. And even if we give someone an estimate for work, we never tell them they have to do all of it. We recommend a priority based on safety and operation. Also, if this C-RV is 97-01, it DOES have a timing belt, and the 02-06 has a timing chain that requires periodic inspection due to stretching. Fourth, I can't see us having a waiting room full of customers, that all believe that we are trying to scam them. Doesn't make sense. Also, with the average shop now charging $80-$100 per hour. I can't fathom any brake related repair only costing $100, and being done properly. All of us get work reports through out the week, show what jobs we've done, and if any of them of been back to any NTB in the NATION for warranty work. Since I've started, I am not aware of any "come backs" due to workmanship, and I know I've had NONE!

Terrible service if I could give them less than 1 star I would...dropped over $1000. Into my car for new plugs and coils because my engine light was on and my car was misfiring..1 week later my engine light came back on, my car was misfiring again...i took it back to ntb and the service manager told me codes were coming up that needed to be cleared out by ford, once ford cleared the codes and reprogrammed the powertrain control module then my car would be running ok... the ntb service manager told me that the work they had done was fine and not the issue, it was just a programming problem that ford needed to correct ...took my car to ford like ntb suggested....i paid ford to re-diagnose why my engine light was on and why my car was misfiring ... Ford said misfiring was because the new coil was not properly installed, water had got in and damaged pcm (powertrain control module)...big bucks to fix between replacing pcm and labor THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS...ntb said because I took my car to ford as they suggested, ford now owns the problem...ntb will not stand behind their work...Very unprofessional, rude, and condescending...think twice before taking your vehicle here...i have a car that is now useless and not running...I have to buy another vehicle!

It took about 10 minutes before anyone showed up to the front desk. When they did show up, they told us they wouldn't be able to patch our tire today even though it was 3 hours until closing. I'd recommend Sullivan Tire which is right down the street. Fast, friendly and great price. We pulled up 20 minutes before they closed and they took us in with no problems.

Dishonest. Stay away. Falsified a state inspection to tried and sell me brakes I didn't need at a highly inflated price. Had it reinspected at pep-boys a weeks later and passed without a hitch - I asked them 3 times if I needed brakes because I was expecting to have them done but it was not needed. NTB's focus is on the short-term $ and not the customer, trust or a long-term relationship. According to the many many reviews I wish I had read first - this, unfortunately seems to be the NTB way. UPDATE: A full year later 9/19 I took the car into the dealer (Ford in Salem) for the state inspection. The brakes are still perfect after yet another year.

I went in on a Sunday with a flat tire and was sent back out on the road after being told my tire was fine and perfectly safe. The car wasn't driven on Monday, but on Tuesday that same tire blows out on the highway. I bring the tire back to NTB and they notice a crack in the rim that wasn't seen on Sunday because only a dunk test was conducted. NTB then tells me to go to a rim repair shop, which I do. At the rim repair shop I am told that there is an additional crack in the rim caused by a chisel when NTB removed the tire. Go to NTB at your own risk.

When they came back they said I needed to pay $666 for brake pads, ONE new tire (what?), and so many miscellaneous charges that had nothing to do with an oil change, and I didn't even ask for a diagnostic. If I could rate less I would. I called early in the day and spoke to Kevin Williams and told Him everything I needed done. He said for me to bring my truck in at 4pm on a Saturday. I did and was quoted a price, handed over my keys and went out for a while as I was told my vechical would be there for a few hours. They close at 7 so no big deal I thought. My husband brings me back 10 minutes to 7 and my truck was still sitting in the same spot I left it with NOTHING having been done. I walk inside and was told my truck would be worked on first thing in the morning as the mechanic had left for the day as well as the general manager who had assisted me. I was NEVER TOLD my truck would need to stay over night. Otherwise I would have went someone else. Than he tells me that there wasn’t even a mechanic on the schedule for the next day and that I should come on Monday. WHAT??!! There was no phone call or anything to tell me about the mechanic leaving or even to be told that I should consider coming Monday because they were backed up. This is the most unprofessional thing that has ever happened to me from a business. Horrible!

This is my second time here and on both occasions my wait was ridiculous. I tried to come Sunday, 2 hours before they close, to get my flat tire replaced (that I purchased from NTB and is under warranty) and they guy told me he was told to not accept anyone else; however, the young lady who was behind me in line was serviced. I sat in my car and watched the same guy walk with her to check her tire size. I recommend staying away from this location and it's very unfortunate because it's close to my house. I recommend Midas which is walking distance from NTB. They're professional, quick and reasonably priced!

But for everyone else who enjoys being treated like normal human beings, I don't think this is the place for you. I recommend Tires Plus. That's who I usually go to. I only went to NTB because TP's AC diagnostic machine was down. Update: ended up getting my AC serviced at Tires Plus and they did a great job. Took a little longer than they said but it worked out ok. Definitely go to Tires Plus and NOT NTB. The service guys are more down to earth and you can have an actual conversation with them. They take the time to explain everything to you as well. Really great guys at Tires Plus.

Update: I asked to speak to the manager and it's been 45 minutes and still no manager to speak to. Rip Off Report... Fees, fees, fees... They tack on so many service fees. I went here and wanted my tire fixed, and an oil change. Left paying over $200 and the tire still leaked. So many shop fees wracked up. It's WAY cheaper going to the dealership -- and the work is done RIGHT at the dealer. These guys are awful, and not experienced. Dealer showed in fact,, yes, there's a nail in the tire. So they plugged it. So why didn't National TIRE and Battery find that??? Could it be they want to sell me on replacing the valve stem (inclusive of sensor) instead? The trivial oil change ended up being more than 2x the cost at the dealership.

The customer service is the worst! However, I have a major issue. I dropped my 5 Series BMW off there for a oil change on 9/25/2015. Now it's 9/28/2015 and my service engine light is on! My oil pressure too low sensor is going off and I have to have my vehicle towed from DC to Central Avenue in Maryland to have this issue corrected. Not only do I have to pay for the tow, but I have to leave work and loose out on more money.

Apparently if you do not have an appointment you can't receive services. I've been a customer at this location for over 4 yrs and I've never been told this. It's sad. Customer service is absent. Employees having unprofessional conversations in front of customers. Employees telling each other what they are not going to do in front of customers. Phones are unanswered. Technicians are not present on time. Walk in customers are being turned away which is how you make your most money regardless of appointments. Two days in a row I've been turned away. No options given. Not even providing the address to the next closest location or offering to call to see if they can take a customer who needs services. Only the comment "I don't know why everyone is coming to this store." Taking an appointment at a later date and time really impacts me as a customer. The manager of this facility, Kevin, was not in today. His customer service is above par; however, he will take the hit with the employees he has operating the facility when he's not there. It's very disappointing. I must now make the decision to remain a customer or go to another company for my maintenance needs. I don't think I want to continue this relationship.

They are beyond unprofessional. It's early in the morning and the place is dingy, spills on floor, coffee station dirty, glass doors that are opaque from hand prints and beaten up furniture in sitting area. I have never had a good experience but because it's close to home I go there. I definitely will take my business elsewhere. They say the wait is 30 mins to 1.5 hours online but that's just being in line waiting on the one person at the desk to get to you. Appointments don't matter because it's like the doctors office, 4 persons or more with your appointment time. So, plan a half day or more or to be picked up and leave your car. Plus like other people said, cheaper options are down the street!

It's disappointing to read reviews of people getting their tires replaced or patched the same day while I come in 2 hours before closing to get 1 tire patched and being told they can't do it the same day and I'll have to come back tomorrow. What's very upsetting about my visit is the fact that I showed up and 4 employees were all sitting at the counter just chatting while I waited to get my car serviced. When I got to the counter all 4 employees got up and went to the back just leaving 1 person to help me out. The guy who served me said that he couldn't get my tire patched today and I'd have to come back tomorrow because they were busy but my question to myself was how busy could y'all be if ALL 4 employees were sitting around talking while the garage had 2 cars sitting in there not being worked on. On top of what made this visit a bad one was the fact that I overheard one of the employees saying that he wants to leave early so he doesn't have to close the shop at 8pm. I don't know much about cars but I do know that it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to get a tire patched regardless of the vehicle. MAYBE I came in at a bad time but perception is everything and when you have employees sitting around doing nothing and being told that you CAN'T get serviced for a patched tire in one day is VERY upsetting. The next day I went to pick up my vehicle and the interaction was dull and dry. I didn't feel welcomed at all from the first time walking into the shop to picking up my vehicle, I felt unwanted just by the demeanor of the employees. I'm disappointed I had to give this review but no one should experience this kind of service to a franchise on their first visit. I hope this is the last 1 star review this franchise gets because no company should have a bad review based off of 1 experience and 4 employees not doing their jobs but if this is a sign of what they do at this location I would advise customers to rethink about coming here to get their car serviced at this location.

The work was done very straightforwardly. It was the service advisor or front desk worker, Kevin. I hope he owns the place the way he caries himself, bc he makes the owner look bad. But it is the hood so I didn't expect much. I always will take a trip to a different zip code for better service. Simply put, the guy kevin is not as articulate as he thinks he is or should be for the position he holds. That's why so many people have an issue with him in the comments. It's a job requirement to speak well, not raise your voice or fail at attempts to humiliate your customer. But all jokes aside, he just can't communicate very clearly, which isn't a simple problem to fix. You provide information based on your knowledge base, and if your knowledge base is lacking once you come to the job, hard to fix. Avoid. Too many locations to have bad service. He simply can't afford to act that way.

A friend of mine dropped their car off before a trip and asked me to pick it up, so i could do some other repairs (I am an ASE certified Master Tech). I called at 4:00 pm to see if the flat tire was fixed and they said it was. The owners wife called at 4:30 and was told the same thing, but also that the tire pressure monitor had to be replaced. We arrived together at 5:30 to pick the vehicle up and saw all of the techs standing around and noticed the car wasn't on the lot. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to come help us, I asked where it was and they told me it was out on a road test, because they were having trouble resetting the tire pressure light (1.5 hours after i was told the job was completed). When the tech returned with the car, he was very rude and gave very little information about why the monitor had been replaced and no explanation at all about why we were previously told that it was finished. Customer service was terrible. They are very rude and have no respect for the people who keep them in business...

Horrible. Went in to have them look at a tire that keeps going soft. Asked how long, informed about 10 min they would take it in. So I waited... and waited... and waited!!!! After 1 hour I go to the desk to inquire why I was still waiting. All of a sudden a tech comes running out to take my vehicle in. One said he wasn't told, csr said he forgot. Unacceptable all around. Then said they can't repair it, but I could take it to a gas station down the road and they could plug it as they only patch. Not even a sincere apology at all.

I honestly feel an obligation to seek services and spend money in the community. This Central Ave. Capital Heights location test my conviction with every purchase or experience encountered. I write these comments knowing full well the attributes of quality, caring customer service and the easy signs of it's failings. I've been in customer service for over 35 years and remain committed to ensuring my customers and guests a quality experience. Simply put your team service advisers and immediate supervision don't care, fail to react, have no sense of quality service and fear no repercussions of poor customer interactions. I'll note a few examples related to my 9/4/18 experience: 1. I tried to book the "Buy 2 Get 2 Free" Package the last day it was available. Customer Service advised that Central Ave. Store would honor the package the day following the last day of the promotion if I booked a reservation. I did, 11:30am Tuesday morning. The Service adviser said they couldn't honor the deal and I would have to accept the best deal he could come up with. I finally accepted a package $175 more than the original offer to get my requested package. Josh told me the installation of my 4 tires, tune up and front end alignment would take approx. an hour and a half. 3 hours later I asked about timing. He had no idea who I was. The 4th hour passed. Josh informed me that the tires and tune up were complete but, the alignment would have to be done at a later date. 4 hours for a tune up and tires!!!! It took Josh and his shift leader 30 minutes to close out my receipt (my tires mysteriously were on 2 tickets). While Josh was at the counter by himself trying to figure out why my ticket wouldn't close a line of 6 customers formed. I service guy from the shop noticed and went to seek support for Josh. You could clearly see by his reaction that the guys he was speaking to simply said no (in so many words). The guy seeking help said !@%$ it and went back into the shop. Last one, I promise. Once I received my receipt (35 minutes later) I noticed I had been charged twice for the alignment. Another 5 minutes while they sorted that out. I arrived at this shop at 11:30am and left at 4:25pm, spending over a $1,000 for this mess. I find this insulting. Here's the kicker.... they don't care. I have an 11am appt. today to get my 2 days past due alignment. I shake my head wondering what's next? Needless to say the alignment will be my last trip to this NTB location. You continue to have major problems with this store and they truly don't care.

My visit was 2 days ago! For an oil change. Didn't make an appt, they said my wait would be about 2 hours. Ok, I understood that. I had nothing to do, so I waited in the waiting room. Note, you can very well see if your vehicle was serviced on. 2 and a half hours later I noticed workers going to the restroom, getting coffee etc. I later go to the Service Desk to ask about my vehicle, I see several compartments, if your vehicle was ready, waiting, etc. I'm looking at the gentleman searching for my paperwork in the ready compartment. I’ve been to this store before and the service is ALWAYS lousy. I’ve been an NTB customer for over 10 years back when it was Tire Kingdom. It’s worth the drive (or the tow) to the store on 501. Bad experience. Dirty. Empty drink bottles on coffee tables out front. The waiting room was dirty. Two trash cans were full of garbage. One was overflowing onto the floor. Restroom was dirty. I went in for a leaky tire. I had spent a good amount of time at home looking for the leak, but I could not find it. The mechanic said he found a screw in the tire. I could have found this screw with my eyes closed, it was so big, but any ways I could have made an honest mistake. But then I found out the tire could not be fixed. I felt suspicious about this screw but there was nothing I could do. I bought a new tire at this place for the last time. Perhaps if they had paid attention to appearances I could have felt better about coming here. Something did not feel right about this place.

So happy I decided to come here for a second opinion! Mike the manager was beyond helpful when I found a nail in my tire. My tires are less than a year old and this is the second nail in one of them. Next time I’ll opt for road hazard with my luck. Another garage down the street told me that it wasn’t repairable and that I needed 2 new tires on the spot. Mike was able to patch it and rotate my tires as well! All of the guys seemed friendly enough and I appreciate them taking care of me as I waited with my 3 kiddos. I’m beyond thankful that I didn’t need to purchase 2 new tires today even though I will be back to buy my tires from them because they werw honest and helped me out today. The absolute worst place I ever went. They overcharge for labor. Over $403.00 to change a tie rod end and alinement? Make an appt for 10:30 and they were not done until after 1. My appointment was at 3pm the guy told me to come back later they were a little behind, which was fine. I walked in today 20 min before they closed at 6, I informed the guy I need an oil change... he said we close in 15 minutes, was on his phone also. He was heavy set guy, didn’t get his name. Typical, which is unfortunate. In past visits, we had been solicited for additional services, but politely refused, despite being somewhat pressured. This time, they decided to simply take matters into their own hands. Duplicated charges, false charges, over charges. My daughter needed snow tires, made an appointment for 11AM, but something went wrong, she was sent home and told that they would let her know when to come back - that was about 2 and she was there 3 more hours after that. Until I went in to dispute the total it was $715 for 4 snow tires on her Dodge Caliber. Two balancing charges (one initial and another lifetime - no explanation as to why the former would not cover the latter), tire protection and roadside hazard protection - again, seemed duplicated. Lastly, tire disposal fee for four tires that were in my garage at the time. Lots of tire stores out there and it's time to find a new one for our 5 cars.

This place is an absolute JOKE!!! Appointments are never kept on time, I’ve had 4 separate incidents where the work wasn’t performed (at all!!), and no one will ever take responsibility for anything! They broke a tire pressure sensor the first time I came and refused to do anything about it. DO NOT USE ANY NTB!!!!! You’ve been warned.

I went to get 4 tires for my Dodge Ram. I did the buy 2 get 2 free deal they were having. They were Cooper Tires. Great pricing compared to other dealers...but the service was horrible. Tried them again for our Jeep, got the same tires because they are a great price with the buy 2 get 2 free deal. Again, horrible service. I guess you get what you pay for. I'd hate to have an actual.problem and try to get it resolved here.

I purchased the lifetime tire balance & rotate package with the purchase of 4 tires. I made an appointment to have the tires balanced and rotated. I waited 1 1/2 hrs. and this still was not done. I looked in the work area and the guys were standing around talking. I asked if there was a problem and they stated that mine was next. I watched the mechanic lift my car 5 times trying to get the lift in the proper place. I watched as the mechanic removed the tires and proceeded to rotate the tires. I stopped him and said they were supposed to be balanced and rotated. He stopped working and went back to talking with the other guys where he thought I couldn't see. At that point I told the man at the desk to have them put the tires back on my car and I would take it somewhere else for service. Do you want that Customer Service?

This location was very helpful. I had brought my car for thousands of dollars of work at Grieco Toyota up the road. 2 days later my car felt like it was falling apart. As I was driving on Taunton Ave, I noticed my tire was ready to fall off. I pulled into NTB, and realized all of my lug nuts on one tire were completely loose and ready to fall off. A nice gentlemen named Angel helped me and tightened all the lugs and made sure my car was safe before I left. He did not charge me, he did me a huge favor. I highly recommend this location for any work, they are great people.

This place is seriously understaffed. I waited 2 hours for an inspection even though I had an appointment. Another time I stopped in and there was not a single mechanic on duty. I had to come back to follow up on an issue, there are only 2 mechanics on duty. In the waiting room again...

The checkin/out person didn't even acknowledge that I was standing in front of her for about 3 minutes each time. Just continued doing whatever she was doing, with no other customers in the lobby at all. Oil change was as expected, the techs were good about finding my wheel lock when I had forgotten to get it out.

Sad that I even had to give one star to be able to write this review! 3 hours for an oil change and state inspection and I never even ended up getting the inspection! AND I had an appointment! Arrived 10 minutes early for my 9 am appointment and was told by Mike that it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Wandered to the store across the street. When I returned I was told it was almost done that it just needed the sticker. 45 minutes later I was told it was almost done. 15 minutes after that I was told there were 2 cars ahead of me and that the inspection itself would take an hour after it was started Left, found a place down the road and had the entire process completed in 45 minutes including the few minutes I had to wait . Can’t believe how much they lied to me and how poorly they manage their schedule. I would have ended up at over 4 hours for an oil change and inspection! Never again!

We are very thankful to NTB Tire and Service Center we had a slight accident today my wife turned to sharp going into a drive and it scraped the bottom of our vehicle on a concrete pipe causing something to hang down from our vehicle and we didn’t know what to do so I went in to NTB and Mike Lowe was so nice he got us right in to have his mechanic Jay to take a look at it and within minutes Jay had it fixed and we were back on the road again! I should have known better, as we were coming in for an oil change an irate customer was up in arms because they replaced a tire and the wheel fell off down the road and they were reluctant to repair his vehicle. Well our issue came about when we wanted an oil change and tire rotation. The attendant came up with a story that the tires needed to be recalibrated before being rotated. There's no such thing the only thing you can do is rebalancing or alignment. Total lie, so because we didn't do it they refused to do the rotation and it took over an hour to do the oil change and we were the only customers left. AND on top of that out of pure spite abd greed they didn't change the oil because the next day when I checked it the oil was still black and low!! Bringing the car back they came up with lame excuse saying the older car will turn it black quickly and they would top it off. They topped it off with recycled oil that was black too!! I would not bring trust them for ANY repairs what so ever!!!

I called ahead of time and asked them if I could bring my car in. They said yes and that I could come in any time. I drove over and no one was in the front of the shop. Waited 15 minutes, still no one. Walked around to the garage and asked a guy if he could help me get the attention of the front desk so I could get service. He said "someone should be out front", and turned away... I went back to the front and waited another 15 minutes. Even called the phone number to get their attention. I could hear the phone ringing from where I was waiting. At that point I left. 30 minutes is long enough. I have no intentions of returning. ✌

Well I got a flat tire that I knew would eventually happen because I knew I needed tires but I am sure like everyone else, I waited till I had no choice. I went online and made an appointment to have two new tires put on my car. When I arrived at the NTB in Salem, New Hampshire, I was promptly greeted by Mike. He is very down to earth and was up front with me about the tires I was looking to purchase. He never bad mouthed said tires, but explained to me that they are not really what I was looking for. I really appreciate that. He was not pushing things on me to purchase, he was not forcing me me to buy anything I didn’t want. He felt the need to help me out. I believe whole heartedly that had I gone anywhere else, my experience would not be the same as it was. Thanks Mike! Because of you I will come here for everything I need that is car related! I am a newly divorced mother of one and don’t know about tires. Mike really helped me out! I would recommend NTB in Salem New Hampshire to anyone that needs services done to their vehicle! You guys are awesome!

5 stars! I stopped by last Saturday without an appointment to get an estimate on tires. Before selling me tires, they checked out another issue I was having with the car. They figured out what the noise was in my car and didn't try and sell me tires I obviously didn't need. This store was so busy on that Saturday. I regularly use this NTB location and the service is always satisfactory; however, I do find it annoying that every time I go in I am chastised for using their online service to book an appointment. I always get the same guy and he always rants about me booking online instead of calling, because he says the online system doesn't really know their staffing situation and he always complains about staffing to me. My car always goes in as scheduled, so it must not be that much of an issue; therefore I continue to book online because I feel if I call they won't be as flexible with appointment times. To sum it up, if their online scheduling is inaccurate they should either improve it or get rid of it and secondly, the last thing I want to hear when I am getting a service is someone complaining about their workload to me when I just just finished a long day or week of work myself and I am there on my valuable time off!

Can’t thank the guys at NTB enough, I took our F350 service truck in for an alignment today as the truck was recently in a crash. When I took the truck in the steering wheel was about 45 degrees off and drove terrible, Cody checked everything out really good and did an alignment and it is genuinely a night and day difference, the truck drives straight as an arrow now and the steering wheel is perfect. I come all the way from Conway because these guys are the only ones I trust to do any work on our trucks, I highly recommend them to anyone!

Fast work in and out for an oil change ...recommend however went in today cause my traction light and brake light was on and they said it was a fuel sensor and they don't repair that there....he said brake fluid is low I'm like I googled it and it said that's why lights are on then he said no it's the sensor so I went to advance across the street and purchased brake fluid put it in and lights are now off so good thing I didn't listen to them and went to dealer to have a sensor replaced for no reason so it would have cost me hundreds for a 3.99 fix don't understand why he didn't try and put brake fluid in and see what would happen

Buyer beware! I no longer go to this place as I was ripped off once and then the second time they tried to tell me I needed new brakes and they'd give me a discount and it would only cost me $400-something dollars. What were they doing messing with my brakes when I only went to change my summer tires over to winter. I got two opinions from other mechanics and there was nothing wrong with my brakes. The first time they told me one of my air filters was "missing" and I agreed to have it replaced for around $40. Within a couple of weeks after that, 60 Minutes did a show on how these chains often remove parts from your car and then offer to replace them. I no longer go to these types of businesses.
