These guys recently took care of an issue i was having with my rear brakes. A caliper failed that I had them install last year. And even though it was technically a little over the 1 yr warranty period, they replaced the failed part - and the pads/rotor that was wrecked as a result - no questions asked. It's great to get service that goes beyond what you would hope or expect sometimes.

I've used Maine auto Service twice now. My first experience was great and I had zero issues, my second however was sub par. During my first visit I was told by the mechanic that I should get my transmission fluid changed and I had a serpentine belt that needed to replace. Flash foward to today, I had set up an appointment to have this done as well as an oil change and some other misc things. After waiting for an hour I was advised that I should not in fact change my transmission fluid and that they would not have time to change the belt or perform any more work but could tell me what needed repairs. Long story short I came to spend money and would have gladly waited. Instead I was told what I needed to have repairs but couldn't be performed today due to time constraints. I wasted an hour and 45 minutes for an oil change and a bulb change.

Excellent and honest service. I have been a customer here since moving to the area in 2005. They tell you exactly what is wrong, what it takes to fix it, and whether they can do the work. Be sure to call in advance as this place is very popular with locals and the schedule sometimes (not always) is booked a day or two in advance.

Difficult to get service here as they have limited hours and always seem to be booked. If you can get an appointment, it tends to take much longer than expected. I have waited way too long in the past.

I'm a 26yo girl with a 2005 Jeep Wrangler. I took it here to get an inspection sticker. They quoted me with $3800 of work that needed to be done. Brakes, sway bar links, bushings, whole new muffler and oil pan, whole new radiator, the works. Luckily, my dad and brother work on cars all the time. I took it to my brother's warehouse. The brake pads weren't even half way worn. The rotors were fine. Could have easily gone another year or more. None of the bushings were cracked or even bad, and it all looked fine. We replaced some of this stuff ourself because it's cheap and we're in there anyway, but it did NOT need to be done for a sticker. Nothing was cracked or broken like they said. My dad took it to Sears after to get a sticker (he knows some of the people there), and it passed no problem. It absolutely sucks that as a youngish girl I can get swindled so easily. Luckily I'm smart and know they were talking out their ass. Someone else may not be. DO NOT go here, they will try to get every damn penny out of you when it is not needed.

Waited several days for service,finally went to pick up my vehicle and they had in fact not fixed it,charged me 180 to change a battery,wich as it turns out was not the problem.As I was about to drive away my vehicle died in there parking lot before I was able to leave.very dissatisfied,would never reccomend.sad to see another shop taking advantage of the consumer.many options in southern Maine,do not choose this one.

Very slow service. Misquoted me 3 times in one day. Once I came to pick up my car I was made to wait another 45 minutes because they were not complete with the work on my car despite telling me on the phone that they were.
