Worst experience ever . Went and had my tires balanced and had a alignment done needless to say my truck still shakes and pulls to the right and also have to replace my shocks because they broke one . Would never recommend there service period was treated very poor when i returned and asked to address the problem. And when asked what would they do about the shock. I was told that's not my problem.

I order tires because they were not in stock. I cancel later that afternoon and they told me they wouldn't give credit on my card. Tried to talk to the manager and got disconnected. Tried to call again and July the manager told me, she had just charged my card and couldn't reverse it. I called my bank and they reversed the charge. I would never make business with them. They wanted to keep my money without providing the service.

Worse experience of my life. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. I brought my truck in for a mount and balance job and told them it would be a challenge, they said they like a good challenge. They told me about 3 hours and they had my truck for one week. They destroyed 2 sets of expensive spiked lug nuts and 2 freshly powder coated wheels. They are very unprofessional and don't care about the customer or their property. Because they have signs posted everywhere does not give you the right to destroy the customer property. Very disappointed and sick to my stomach when I got my truck back. If y'all really care about your maybe try and listen to them. It's safe to say that I won't be back and if you want something done, do it yourself.

Put down $100 dollar deposit for a replacement rim for my Dodge Challenger. It took 10 days to come. When I went back to have it put on. I waited 45 mins until they got to my car. Finally at the time of installation they realized they had ordered the wrong rim after wasting 45 min. So I have to wait an additional 10 days until the right one comes in! They could have saved me the time had they looked in the box before assuming it was correct and having me wait until it was my turn.

I’ve been coming here for like 3 months now and usually my experience is good but this time I was not satisfied at all. I went there Friday evening Nd was told it would be best to bring it back early the next day. I made it there before they even opened up. I left my car Nd they said that I would be contacted about what services I needed done. (They open at 8am) I didn’t get a call until almost 1pm with the quote. I called back around 3:30p to get a quote Nd I was told that they were closed for the day... no one even called me to let me know that my car would be there at their shop for the remainder of the weekend. I agreed to leave my car for the day not for the entire weekend.

A good 4-5 star tire. Quick service. Reasonably priced. I went to another shop a couple lots over, but they didn't update the tire pressure sensor because their device wasn't sufficient so he recommended Southern Tire. Two seconds later, set up tire pressure sensor update and 30 minutes later, I was done. Most nationally branded stores will not reprogram your tire pressure sensor if they didn't and buy. Smaller, locally owned shops will consider this so there are PROS and CONS to doing national v local businesses. For reference, its $50-100 to reprogram. For installation with reprogramming, a rough estimate $150-180 depending on several factors. Overall, for price and speed (on a Monday morning at 10am), 5-star.

Terrible experience…what a mess! Last week we experienced a blowout on our travel trailer while on our travels in New Orleans and called the Southern Tire location (2550 Hickory Ave, Metairie, LA 70003). My husband asked if they were set up for and had the space to accommodate a 30’ travel trailer and the lady he with spoke said they did. He went ahead and had her order the tires and made an appointment to come in the next morning to have them installed. We showed up at 10:30 a.m. There were cars/trucks parked and blocking other cars everywhere with little space to maneuver though. They had to move 3 vehicles around and still asked us to pull into the busy uncoming traffic while they would supposedly “block” the traffic so we could back in the trailer. It was ridiculous! If we knew what a disorganized, unprofessional mess this operation was we would have gone to another company but at this point we didn’t have much choice. One of the employees misguided my husband as he almost hit their air compressor that was sitting in the parking area that apparently he was too lazy to move. When the employee saw how upset I was he just laughed and thought it was real funny. Such a steller, professional… this guy. I wonder if his boss knows that this is how he treats his customers. We left the trailer for them to install the tires and when we returned they hadn’t even started the job. It took almost 4 hours for them to install four tires with an appointment. If I lived in the area I would never give this place my business. It is a very haphazardly run business and we found the employees to be rude and lacking customer/communication service skills. I now understand why they offer to pay people for their 5-star review.

I was greeted by a young man named Andre, who possessed exemplary customer service skills, was kind, sorrow, well mannered and extremely efficient. Although I had to wait until the following day to get my tires, my experience was a very pleasant one. Other office personnel, including Julie and Ryan, or also extremely courteous and helpful. southern tire came highly recommended to me, by the guys at mitey automotive. from brian, that answered the phone and gave me some ideas on what could be going on with my jeep, to toby that actually worked on it for me, i was completely impressed. brian was really kind and knowledgeable, professional and efficient. their space was comfortable to sit and wait in, which was a pleasant surprise. auto shop waiting areas aren’t always easy to sit and wait in. having a lifted jeep, it’s important for me to feel the people i bring my truck to are knowledge and experienced, and i certainly felt that way at southern tire!

Well, when I returned today to have my rim repaired..the price was doubled..??? I would never recommend this place .. They lack communication. I came in to get two lug nuts for my tire replaced and my tire patched and put back on . I asked several time how long it was going to be and was never gave an answer . After one hour and a half I went to ask how long it would be and they told me that they were waiting in the lug nuts to come in . They never told me that someone was bringing them and that I would be in there for three hours .. This is why they lack communication. I was at the counter talking to a nice black gentleman that works for them just letting him know how long I’ve been waiting and asking why the didn’t tell me they had to wait for the lug nuts to get there when this rude woman in the back interrupted us and going on and on about this and that and why it’s taking so long and they never know .., yes they know and they need to be more organized and communicate with there customer .. I saw and older couple that was there when I got there it seemed like they had already been waiting .. The man stated he had already been there for two hours and they hadn’t even touch his car , it was still where he parked it and they asked for keys and left .. I have been to several places for car maintenance and never dealt with anything like this ... One more than .. They play favorites you see people come and go .. they’ll go and talk to someone specific and be out of there .. Going to This place is definitely who you know. .. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL WASTE YOUR WHOLE DAY WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paid 1500 on tires, balance, and alignment. First tires was bad. They change them out. Balance was still off. Weight was set in different area. Waited over 5hrs for them to do job. Went to another shop. They corrected the balance due to it was still off. But the vibration is still there. Due to the tire was out of round. Try to get it fix. But no help. Southern Tires don't was to take responsibility for there products. Bad place to business with. Tires barely have 500 miles on them. F*&k this place

Worst experience ever buying tires, my sales lady Julie sold me some cheaply made, worthless "Double Coins" tires by deception. I called her for 2 tires for bus to be put on with their noble service. She gave me a quote on some firestone tires, I accepted the quote. Gave her the repair shop address where my bus was at. She called me back a little later telling the tires she gave me a quote on was no longer available. But she has some more expensive firestone that she could give me for the same price. I was happy and to her great let's do that. Went to the shop after the installation find out she put some other brand of tires on my bus (Double Coins) and they scratch my rims. I called her now she tell me that she did tell me another brand and I'm stuck with the tires. And I gave to find the time to bring my bus to them to repair my rims. Due to the paint taking several hours to drive I have to come on a weekday for 6 hrs. I drive a school bus, I need my bus to do my job. I wouldn't recommend Julie or this shop.

Worst experience EVER! I will never come here again. First they charged more than twice as much as other companies to mount and balance my tires. Then they overfilled my tire with so much air that once I drove the car the tire blew a belt, blew a strut, and bent my brand new rim. It took over 5 minutes to let the air out and was well over 60 psi of air (car is rated for 38psi of air). When I confronted them about it they claimed that once a blet blows on a tire it increases the air pressure (which isn't true at all, you are physically increasing the size of the tire with a blown belt so the air pressure would actually drop). Son I had to replace my wheel and strut on my own as well as pay for mounting a new tire. Complete scammers there. Do not come here if you want your car taken care of or if you wish any attention to detail to be paid to your vehicle.

I went in for a brake job. They told me it would be one hour to begin work and one hour to do the brake job. They didn't get my car in the shop and begin work for 3 hours then it took 2 hours to do the brakes. I understand that sometimes it just is what it is, however if it is going to be 5 hours to do a brake job then just tell the customer what it is. I felt like I wasted my entire day there when had I known it would take 5 hours I could have just gotten picked up. Also there was no TV service in the waiting room, it was on and off all day. Mostly off.

I ask to speak to a manager four times no manager. I paid for a dx after being told by a auto tech my truck can get alight. Staff was very unprofessional. After leaving business the manager I spoke to was Bryan. Bryan I explained to him and he tells me oh I was sitting there when y'all where talking but heard some of the conservetion. I told he heard Part of the conversation could he was on the phone he agree. I told them what was some of my problems rack pin and etr. I also ask if a alignment can be done before paying dx fee. Was told 107 dollars by front worker who says he in training. I ask to speak to the auto tech. The Tech was very unfriend talk over me. Plus the tech write statement in dx finding that I said I had a rack and pinion problems and other issues. I told the Tech I'm on dailyisis I don't have money to just give away like that he assured me that if I pay for dx text I have my alignment. That changes after they got my signature. I don't appreciate what took place. On top of that my shift stick handle was broken. In Bryan who I learn is the mgmt come out saying oh there was glue under you can see at some point. He States oh we may have accidentally bump and finish it off wow. No sorry about that are nothing. My car was in park after the Tech park I never took it out of drive. I paid for my own opinions plus leave with a demage shift not cool.

Terrible. No acknowledgement of what I had learned through a significant amount of research, regarding my wheel balancing issue. Controlled the conversation entirely and then declined to further discuss the work, saying she was afraid she was "inheriting someone else's problem." All I wanted was acknowledgement that there is more than one way a wheel can be centered: either the hole in the wheel defines the center - "hub-centric" - or the lug nut pattern defines the center -"lug centric". If lug-centric wheel is balanced based on the hole and then placed on the vehicle, it is now offset, relative to the hole, and therefore out of balance. Sad. I was ready to pay them $100 to balance my wheels, but the woman would not acknowledge that these different centering schemes exist. A quick Google search confirms that they do.
