Chris Best is the best.... I have had problems with my alignment and wasn't a happy camper. They scheduled me for a Friday but said if I could bring it in Thursday, they would try to work it in. Dale Mann (yes, that Dale Mann) drove me back home to get my other vehicle. He was very polite and we had a great visit on the way. By the time I got off at 4 ( I work as a volunteer at a local hospital), the car had a new tire and alignment. Their shop foreman, Karl, drove the car and met me at my house. I took him back to work. All of Pumpelly's people went out of their way to make sure I had my car back in time for an important trip I had scheduled for that weekend. Thank you Pumpelly on Ryan St. JS

So my starter went out in my van and I had to have it towed, and due to the high ratings I chose Pumpelly tire to get it fixed. They quoted a certain price and when it was all said and done they charged me a lower price than quoted. I’m very happy. I called around to other repair shops in the area and they were quoting $200 above Pumpelly tire.

I went in on a Saturday morning to repair a car that had been sitting up for a while. They did a oil change, brake job, and AC recharge for me on a day that had a 113 degree heat index and had the car ready in 3 hours. Then when I went to pay for it, as I was fumbling around looking for my credit card, a Boy Scout discount card fell out of my wallet. The manager saw it and told me that it entitled me to 15% off my service fee. He saved me $75 when he could have kept his mouth shut. I like dealing with honest people and will keep giving them my business.

Chris Best is truly the BEST! We had a flat on I-10 and Google took us to Pumpelly Tire. We have an odd size tire on our Benz and none were in stock. Chris called every tire store in Lake Charles and found one store with our tire. He also personally aired up our spare! He did all of this knowing we wouldn't be purchasing anything from him and most likely won't ever be a customer in the future considering the distance from home. There are still a few good men left in this world. I'm sure he didn't think much of it and it didn't take a lot of time but we greatly appreciated his help!

The only downfall I had was a 3% fee on $500 worth of tires because I paid over the phone. I work 6 days a week and couldn't get up there to pay direct. That was a little upsetting! I Visited here to have my tires filled with nitrogen, that is a service they do not offer at the moment but they were happy to fill my tires with regular tire inflation. The service man did inform me that once I used regular tire air my tires would have to be emptied and refilled in order to start over with only nitrogen and that would cost a good bit more. He suggested I find a location that offers nitrogen instead of him filling my tires with the air they offer. I appreciate his knowledge in this matter because I did not know that. This is my only experience here but if all of the employees are knowledgeable and helpful they deserve the 5 stars. It doesn't seem like a big deal but I feel like I was given 5 star service.

So happy to give this company a five star rating. Had an incredible‘s experience. Brought my car in because it seemed to be pulling to the right, wanted to check the alignment. (It was my third shop to stop at since the first two were either a long backup or not able to handle the type of tires that I had.) Pumpelly’s was happy to check out my car. I think they test drove it three times, ran all sorts of diagnostics, then explained everything to me. And did not charge me anything. Now that is great customer service. And I was not even a former customer.
