I'd been going here for decades (when it was National Pride), never had a problem. Pulled in after it got taken over by the Havoline Express guys. Told them I wanted 5W20 and a filter...($30 or so) they claimed the vehicle only took synthetic ($64). I'd only just gotten the vehicle, it needed it's first oil change, and I believed them. Shame on them for flat out lying. I spoke w/my car dealer a week or so later - he said that the vehicle didn't require synthetic, could use regular 5W20... Either their computer system has the wrong information, or they flat out lied to me. Either way, I'm not instilled w/confidence and I've vowed never to go back to Havoline. Avoid this place like the plague.

Pretty desant prices compare to the area, even though it took a lot more to repair car than originally estimated. I still think I'll come back. Manager Aron was helpful as well as the Moses and other stuff members

This auto service center is excellent!!! My fam and I were on our way home when our check engine light turned on. Our car was driving rough for the last month or so and we didn’t want to take any chances of waiting to get in somewhere during the week. Fortunately they were open until 5pm and the technician was able to get us in. Jack ran the diagnosis machine which resulted in a couple codes. One was for the thermostat and the other was sensors. He suggested we complete a radiator flush which could resolve the error codes. We agreed with his recommendation and we were happy he mentioned an offer was available for the service. We were in and out in 30 minutes! Check engine light is resolved, so far so good. Thank you so much for the exceptional customer service and seamless visit. I went for an oil change on Sunday 2/3/19. The employees did not check all the fluids and did not perform all the services that were part of the “full service” package. The package said they would rotate the tires, etc. I asked the employee if they did everything and he lied and said they did it all, even though I watched them the entire time and I was the only customer. It wasn’t worth arguing with him as he clearly was not doing his job and had no intention on doing it. I called the next day to speak with a manager and was told one wouldn’t be in until sometime later in the week but they weren’t sure when. Biggest waste of money, lesson learned. I would not recommend this business, at least not the Northbrook location.

I asked for an oil change, an oil filter change, an air filter change, and to have a plastic protective piece, that tore loose from under the engine, removed. I got the oil change, I'm not certain about the oil filter change, the old air filter remains because they didn't have my air filter in stock, and the dude doing the job pushed out the light control assembly on the dash board as he was attempting to release the hood latch. I am now left with grease on my steering wheel, the center console, and around the above mentioned light control assembly when he unsuccessfully attempted to restore the light control assembly to its proper position. I'm not certain, but it appears he never removed that protective piece that was hanging loose as I originally asked. I paid my bill and left without debating his poor workmanship and destructive behavior because I have a "Concealed Carry License" and could lose it if I engaged in an argument with this rather hostile person. I now have to file a police report and go to a mechanic to have the light control assembly repaired or replaced! The owner of the "Grease Monkey" franchise apologized for the incident and promised to pay for all damages. He also revealed some personal info about his newly acquired organization and indicated some immediate changes would be made to staffing. Thank you sir, I will be returning!

I work for a Mortgage loan company literally 5minutes from this place & decided to come here for a quick oil change during my lunch break. Booked an appointment via phone with Theo prior to arriving & everything was going smooth until the manager butted in without knowing anything about me, my car, nor the reason why I requested what I requested. Regardless I am the customer & give me what I ask for! The mechanic working on my car made a recommendation for my oil type, however I declined because I have a brand new 2017 Nissan in which I usually go to the dealership for my oil changes but since working during business hours & the dealership being far I was instructed to get the cheaper oil until I was able to bring my car in for its regular oil change service. I figured this place was ok due to the fact I literally work down the street & moving forward I will be commuting to work longer distance & wanted to remain coming here, BAD DECISION. The manager began to shout at the guy working on my car “don’t do that, tell her we don’t have that kind of oil, she has to get this one” the guy was so embarrassed & knew it was no way to tell me that after he agreed to do what I asked. Like how can you now not have the oil because your manager wants you to UPSALE me. I began to call my fiancé via FaceTime and that’s when a girl worker walked over & told me “Ma’am I apologize for the confusion but we can perform whichever service you like. The only thing we can do is recommend and not force you to get it”. After I explained to her she understood & told the guy to get me what I wanted. I appreciate her Theo and the gentleman working on my car for the great customer service!!!! HOWEVER, the older guy I guess the manager needs to revisit a CUSTOMER SERVICE class!!!! He did not greet me or come over like the young lady. He completely interrupted my mechanic shouting at him from the bay. “it’s her car not mine so if it messes up, it’s on her” NEVER WILL BE BACK AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to my coworkers! The service & others were great but the old guy is a bad apple to your business. I pray he is not the owner!!!!! Smh. & I never believed the stereotype they get over on women until he came about. The other guys were absolutely amazing!

Good place n price for those that don't know about car before you sign your contract when you buy your car you should ask your salesman how much will your oil change eversley will because most cars use 0-20 oil which is synthetic only which is anywhere from $50 to $100 oil change depending on how many quarts your vehicle takes so next time people want to go and buy a Mercedes-Benz BMW Range Rover Lexus they should think about the oil change before they get into payments and not even those expensive cars Dodges Toyota fours and all of that use synthetic oil now which is good for your gas mileage and for you to save money but a lot of people don't seem to understand what kind of oil their card needs so when they come to a place like this they explained it to them and they like to flip out on the service tech which is not his fault that you have a car that requires synthetic oil cuz if it would require regular oil I'm pretty sure the service tech will recommend regular oil for your car but we have to go off the manufacturer recommendations and that's why your manufacturer recommends for your vehicle there for them get man at the manager or the technician or the company because it's not their fault that you bought a car that requires $100 oil change it ain't their fault it's yours you bought the car not them for their help for you to come and give him a bath because you don't want to pay all this money for a car that you bought thank you just a thought

Went here the other day to get my oil changed and extremely surprised by how great the service was. This oil change place has been around for a while and it seems like something has now changed. Employees were very polite and explained what needed to be done but didn't push or try to sell anything that wasn't needed. I will be back!

Never go here. Went to get a simple oil change just before Thanksgiving. Dude in charge obviously though he had a sucker. He had me pull the car into the bay. He then informed me I could have a $70.00 oil change or a $99.00 oil change, both the 'special sale price.' I was shocked at the price and questioned it. He shrugged, "that's what it costs." I then walked into the counter area and saw a price list, on the front of the counter - not posted above and behind on the wall. like it normally is. The oil change was $39.99. I asked about this, he insisted that because I had a newer car (2012 Kia Soul) that I would destroy my warranty if I didn't use synthetic oil. This is utter BS!! I declined the synthetic, insisting on regular motor oil at which point he continued to furthery his lie as he told me I would have to "sign a waiver" releasing him from any fault for compromising the warranty. I agreed. It took less than 15 min to change the oil. He then tried to pass off the normal invoice as a "warranty waiver." The guy in the waiting area just shook his head and said; "You made the right choice." The other employees couldn't even make eye contact with me as this pompous, opportunistic, self-important, troll was loudly prattling on. Seriously? Dude!? Do you think all women are stupid and able to be manipulated? Your attitude and your level of persistence in your deception were so offensive, I will NEVER be back here and I've done business with this place off and on for over a decade. I plan to paper every review site I can find with this warning. DO NOT GO HERE!!

$39.99 for a regular oil change. My car has over 145,000 miles on it and they recommended the high mileage, but when I told them I wanted regular there was no fuss. Everything was very transparent. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Will be returning! Thank you!

I wish I could say I recommend this place but I don’t, although the gentleman who assisted me was really nice, their prices are kinda high. So, I know many times ones has no choice but to go to the nearest tire/oil change shop, if you can wait, I’m sure you can find a better place.
