We found after much research on the internet with Gerald Kia of Naperville-- the best offer for what we were looking for in an KIA Optima 2015. From the time they had a "greeter" at the door who then referred us to our salesman and ultimately we felt they listened and DID NOT high pressure us. We finalized the purchase. We felt that no matter who we approached at the dealer (Salesman, Managers, F & I, porters, sales department) that they were genuine and honest in their answers. A bonus they seemed to really like each other as employees! But I wanted to have an INTERNAL TEST OF MY OWN: While inquiring at the service department waiting lounge--whether the customers being serviced were happy....I was pleasantly surprised they were! No complaints.. and I asked quite a few. During our time there all questions were answered, additional cost savings applied (because we were switching car manufacturers an additional discount was applied)--we felt like for the FIRST time dealing with car dealers it was actually pleasant! Maybe Gerald KIA could be a training location for other dealers! Well, our first experience was GREAT and we anticipate the service will be as well. From the time I walked in the door with Susan talking about our car experiences (not realizing at first that she was a saleswoman for the dealership) in Oct 2012 when she proceeded to help me buy a 2013 Soul to the present time (Jan 2016), I have had nothing but great experiences with Gerald Kia. I actually gave them a mediocre rating last time when asked to rate them with "Below Expectations" to "Exceeded Expectations" on each question because I had come to expect such great service over the years. I still feel guilty about that, but did qualify my answers in the feedback area. I feel confident that I can take my car in and tell them to do whatever needs to be done and that's exactly what will be done. If something unexpected shows up, I'll be asked immediately if I want it fixed then or to wait, and I know I'll be given an honest answer if I ask whether I can hold off the repair to a future date (so far I've only had this come up once). Thank you for doing such a great job!

After many test drives and a lot of research, I decided I wanted to buy a Kia Optima. Derrick was great to work with and made the process as smooth and easy as possible. He truly cares and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. He worked hard to help us get a great deal. After working with Derrick in sales, I then worked with one of the finance managers, Ferris. Ferris made the finance process as quick and painless as possible. He made sure I understood the extended warranty options and such, but wasn't pushy about adding them. I was very happy with Derrick and Ferris. They were very courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work with!

Staff members provided high quality service and everyone seemed to genuinely care for the customer. Although I was not sure of what vehicle I was in the market for, the staff members allowed me to try various vehicles and ask a multitude of question without showing any unprofessionalism nor frustration with me. They really did help me find a great vehicle in accordance to my needs. This has been by far the best auto sales company and organization I have experience thus far. The time I spent there looking for my vehicle was so much more relaxed than I could have asked for. While i looked around and asked questions, my wife relaxed in the family area/play area with my children. As they watched movies and enjoyed some free snacks I was also provided with coffee and offered snacks for myself. This place really does concentrate its efforts on the customer.

Bought my car back in April of 2016 and the experience was decent at first. I had come in with a pre-approved loan at a 2.7% APR. After being told I may be able to get a better rate through one of their finance partners, I agreed to explore the option. Due to my limited credit history, it should have been clear to them I would not be able to get a better rate after they had run the first few applications. The end result is NINE HARD INQUIRIES on my credit. I was under the impression that there were three different inquiries. I did not learn about this until a recent credit check. Although the service was somewhat quality, they will stop at nothing to squeeze a few dollars out of you. If I recall properly, Fabian was the salesman who sold me the car. How ironic that he is now a finance manager.

While our current van was getting its oil change at Kia, we decided to browse their car inventory because we knew our family needed another vehicle. We were set up with an amazing sales consultant very shortly. Upon the first hello and handshake, we wouldn't have wanted to work with any other sales guy! Tom was so friendly and and worked with us so well. He was patient in answering all of the questions we had and gave us plenty of information on each car! We looked at multiple vehicles and test drove a couple throughout the course of 3 different days. We were drawn back to this dealership because of Tom's humor and personality and in the great ways he assisted us! He made us feel like family. The end of the story: we purchased a great used vehicle the day it came onto the lot .. But we would not have known about this car if Tom hadn't called us about it! We were so pleased with the entire dealership of Gerald! Our family may need a 4th vehicle due to teen drivers. We will not go to any other dealership than Gerald, or work with any other sales consultant than Tom! Our experience with Gerald was more than we could have asked for! We will definitely be recommending this dealer and Tom to others we know! Gerald also exclusively offers lifetime warranties (for specific things) on all new vehicles and select used vehicles! From being called an A$$hole by the salesman (Hal Carter) to the Finance Manager (Jeff Roberts) ignoring you for other people to the General Manager not caring about the customer. We drive in from Minnesota to visit my mom every once in a while. If I need an oil change I like coming to you guys because you are much more accommodating than the dealer by me. They are much smaller so appointments are needed up by me. Yesterday by the time we got into town it was 20 minutes before you guys closed for the day before the holiday weekend. Tom Wiencek and Tim Slattery were real pros and completed the deal without the pain I expected when shopping for a new car. These are good people and the Kia Sportage is truly a great car. Matt Gerald and Gerald Kia of North Aurora will always be known as the dealership that lost a sale because they refused to replace a burnt out fog light after agreed upon. But I will start from the beginning. I went in to purchase a used 2012 Kia Optima SX. On the initial inspection and test drive I pointed out that one of the fog lights was burnt out as well as the front bumper diffuser was missing and in the trunk. The salesman stated they would fix and replace. The test drive went great, loved the car. I signed a paper stating if we could agree on a price I would buy a car. We negotiated and agreed and shook on a price. Then came time for the credit app. Filled that out and before they ran my credit they came back and said they couldn't do the deal we agreed upon because they were taking too much of a loss on the car. So I walked away and sat on it for a few hours. Called back and asked if the deal was still on the table for the amount they presented after reneging on our first deal. They said yes. When I confirmed and said I would be back within 30 minutes and reminded them about the fog light and diffuser, (so they could replace them before I got there) they said they weren't going to fix that now. They said the deal was "too tight" and their GM, Matt Gerald didn't like the deal we agreed upon but he was going to allow it to "move some metal". So they once again reneged on a deal over a $5 fog light. I asked if they would let me move the good bulb to the burnt out side to check for wire harness issues and they replied no. So to sum this all up, I was promised something 2 times to which they went back on their agreement, and let a sale go over a $5 fog light. But I'm glad they did because 2 hours later I purchased a Kia Optima SX that was 1 year newer, had 13,000 less miles, better body condition, longer bumper to bumper warranty, and more options for the same price. So thank you Gerald Kia of North Aurora for keeping me from making a huge financial mistake. I will be sure to pass my experience along to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

Terrible place..I had very bad experience here . Unprofessional manner with a finance guy there.... Yelled at me in front of other customers and let everyone in the place hear my whole personal matter. I felt very belittled and disrespected here. I would never walk in this place again. Manager..sales guy..and finance guy...all were gossiping about me like I wasn't even standing there. On top of many other workers and customers! I can only imagine what the other customers were thinking about this matter. Was terrifying.

It was a maintenance appointment. I was kept informed about the progress of the work done on my car. I was told clearly what needs to be done and what could wait. This is one of the best customer experience services I have ever had. Generally when buying a car, I have gotten used to lies and false promises from past dealerships. The people at Gerald Kia were amazing to work with. We had spoken to them to figure out a deal before we arrived since we live an hour away. Stopped in without an appointment to have service check the engine oil on my Kia. Service representative noted it was during the mechanics lunch break but squeezed me in anyway. I visited too many Kia dealerships in the last 8 months. This place is well worth the drive from the city. To be honest, it is the only Kia dealership I have enjoyed visiting in Chicagoland. Obviously, the best dealer is the one that you come to the best terms with, but it is lovely to do it in a very clean, organized and airy environment which they provide. The bathroom and kids corner - clean and well kept, coffee- Starbucks quality. The last but not least - people who work there. I would very much value the team that the general manager has there starting with the young lady at the entrance (can't recall the name now) and ending with their sales Josue Valladares, Edward Mierzycki, Tim Slattery, and Michael Mullens (dealt with all of them). Also, I am very grateful to the lady from the parts department that really went out of her way to help me out while I was sitting in the sales department with the crying toddler. I began my search for a vehicle about 3 months before my purchase. Once I landed on the Niro, I contacted several dealerships through a 3rd party website and (as you could imagine) received several calls from dealerships in my area. Ben Jenkins was the only one that reached out with a very personable message detailing what he loves about the car and invited me in for a visit. I did all my bidding via email and phone but no other dealer came close to the service, personality and follow-up I received from Ben and Gerald Kia. Not only was Ben able to get me in the car I wanted, they stepped it up further by getting me a 2019 when I was asking for a 2018! From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt comfortable and appreciated. These guys are pros through and through. They are focused on your happiness and not necessarily the bottom line. I highly recommend the Kia of North Aurora Dealership. My experience is based on buying a new Kia vehicle from them. Everybody is very professional and very helpful. My salesperson was Vidal Orduna. I couldn’t ask for more professionalism and help. Vidal and the dealership went out of their ways to make sure I’m getting a car I wanted – and I was very specific about the model, trim level, color and extras. In my case the car is a Christmas present for my spouse, and they helped arrange the whole purchase with that in mind. They offer very good prices, discounts, and great financing. Their pricing and financing process is very transparent, they won’t hide anything from you and push you into anything. They offer extended warranties for all their new cars, at quite competitive prices, but won’t frown on you if you decline. I was very happy and satisfied with my purchase there, and highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car.

Liar Liar pants on fire Gerald Kia! Advertising a vehicle and when asked about it being correct pricing I was assured it was and asked to make an appointment to come in, so I did. Before coming in the next morning I called and asked again about the advertised price and was again assured it was correct. I even said “I’m not going to come in and be told it’s $10000, right?” Of course I was told “no no, I’m looking at the computer right now and that’s our price”. Well we came in and were told we would be working with someone other than who we made the appointment with and wouldn’t you know it the price is now $8700! After waiting 10-20 mins for them to come let us in on this little gag we got up and stated that this is boarder line criminal , bait and switch have you. The asst manager came over and attempted to shake hands and give out excuses but we were ready to leave, he offered to make a call in the end to someone who may or may not allow them to honor their mistake if we wanted to wait around longer but with that would come the car “as-is” and we would have to sign paperwork stating no “safety check” would be done. Really? No thanks Gerald, no thanks.

John called me back right away regarding a question I had on warranty. I had been quoted $1800 for work that Kia was able to perform for warranty and then for $525, saving me $1300. It's a decent drive from my house, but they sent a porter to come pick me up when my car was completed. I have several times dealt with the service manager (Dave) at Gerald Kia-Naperville, and the service there is absolutely terrible. I will ONLY go the the one in N Aurora, even though it is a much further drive.

I made an appointment last week to have the oil change to my car a 2016 KIA SORRENTO but the person who made the appointment made a mistake and made it for 8pm but they close at 6pm, when I introduced myself and told them that I have an appointment they told me there was nothing to indicate that but there was one at 8pm but that could not be possible because at that time the place was closed but this person was so kind and they try to give me the service for my car and what I expected was not as long as I thought and even what was happened with the my appointment and the confusion had not bother me and I been so happy with the service thank you so much

This place is awful. Went to buy a Kia Soul here with the TrueCar quote (which is suppose to be honored with no haggling) and was then asked to pay almost 3k more than that price. I was then told that the price was that much because it had "power windows and locks". They must be made out of gold to justify a 3k price increase. So i bought a Kia elsewhere with the TrueCar price I was quoted with no problems. Then, begrudgingly, i brought them my Kia for warranty work. They said the car was fine even though it was jerking and stalling all the way there and then all the way home. They couldnt have done a single thing with it or they would have at least seen the problem. They are every bad stereotype of a car dealership.

Dealership tried to charge me 20% more the the advertised price for a used car listed online. I came in to look at a used car listed at a fair price online. I discussed the price with the salesman while test driving the car. The salesman stated he thought the price was higher but that he did not get a listing of updated prices daily. End of price conversation, I took that to mean the price I saw online was correct. As we were closing the deal, the paperwork he provided showed an increase of over 20% more than the advertised price. After extensive arguing with the salesman, they came within $350 of the advertised price, telling me it was "only $350." I got up to leave, the sales manager stated "are they running away from this deal?" So I argued with him about what an advertised price means. They tried to state the online pricing is "wholesale pricing" even though the website never mentions it. I proceeded to leave. As I got in my car, the salesman chased me outside and gave me the advertised price. This is a shady business practice. In the end, they did honor the advertised price, but with way too much effort from the customers standpoint.

Just purchased a 19 Kia Niro. Everything went great until 5 days later dropping it off to have the remote start installed and service department couldn't start my car. Turns out there is a major issue with the circuit board and my brand new car. Meanwhile, Tim the manager (who doesn't answer the phone or return a vm) has no compassion. Just theatened to depreciate the car if I wanted a car that actually runs. I put a lot of money down on this vehicle, and it doesn't even run??? The service department is very nice, and they are doing everything they can, but come on this is a brand new car. This is unacceptable.

Took 2011 Kia Soul for a rear noise a couple weeks ago. I was told the soul was out of warranty which was fine. I was told the rear shocks bolts had to be tighten which they tightened back to specs.They told me the noise was gone and we went on our way.The noise was still there as soon as we left the lot. I was told the tech drove it before we were given it back and the noise was not there anymore. I ended up fixing the problem which was caused by bad shocks.Very disappointed most likely won't be going back to this dealer at all.

We purchased a Kia Sedona from Gerald Kia North Aurora in 2014. That experience was a typical car buying experience (annoying, but fine). We've been happy with our van and wanted to purchase another KIa vehicle. We went back to Gerald Kia to purchase a 2017 Optima. After 5+ hours of annoyance, we ended up purchasing the car. I will, however, never buy another car there. If you decide to purchase a car from this dealer, although I strongly discourage you, I caution you to really watch the numbers. I told them the price I wanted to pay, the salesman told me he got me that payment, but they added a year to the loan and didn't change the car price at all. Then the second time he told me that he got the price down, but what they actually did was change the car price but lowered amount of my trade-in. I noticed scuff marks on the front seat and asked that it be fixed. I was assured that it wasn't a big deal and promised to fix it. After 4 changed appointments with my husband and promises to come pick up the car, it was finally fixed after I talked to the service department and took the car in myself. While waiting for our new car to be fixed I overheard a different salesman trying to sell a car to another woman that was getting her car fixed. He went on an on about how if she had bought her car there the repair would have been covered by their wonderful lifetime warranty. 5 min later she mentioned to the service manager that she felt bad because it would have been covered, he informed her that it wouldn't have been because the transmission problem she had was electrical and therefore isn't included in the extended warranty. They will tell you anything to sell you a car. When we were just test driving cars in February the manager was all to eager to come out and meet us to see what he could do to sell us a car. When we actually came in to the buy the car, he couldn't even be bothered to say hello or thank us for our purchase. There is no benefit to being a repeat customer at Gerald Kia.

We started car shopping yesterday and Kia was the last stop of the night. We met James who showed us a few options for our budget. It was closing time, so my wife and I agreed to come back today to get more options. When we got there this morning, James was prepared and showed us a few vehicles. One vehicle in particular my wife loved, very much. At that point, I wasn't 100% sold, so we left to visit two more dealers, but eventually came back to Kia to make a purchase. When we received the offer, we were flabbergasted because we explained to James what our bottom line was. We had a check for 57,000.00, having already being approved for a loan, but we only wanted to spend a max of 17,000.00. Obviously, 17,000.00 wasnt "grand"enough to pay us much mind, respect or decency. He came with a price at almost 4000.00 over. We looked at him and said firmly, that there was no way that we'd pay that much for this particular SUV. James went to his manager and spoke with him for a bit, he did this 2 to 3 times throughout our experience, which frustrated us because they began to slowly go down and it felt like they were playing games. It seemed that they were willing for us to pay the maximum and slowly budge to our bottim line, if at all. They were also willling to let us walk out of the dealership for 900.00, when they would have made 17,000.00. Seemed fair to us. There seemed to be lots of plotting and whispers. I left immediately because I felt liked we were being toyed with. James ran to my car and said that they were willing to move the price just a bit more, but I gave him my bottom line and apparently he still wasn't listening very well. We drove off as they continued to spit numbers at us as if we had any more time to waste! He claimed he was helping us, but really, he was helping his company. His manager, Jim, I think, then called me 15 minutes later at which point, I yelled obscenities at him and he hung up on me. The managers boss, Farris, then called to negotiate further and came up with this pathetic excuse of an offer after telling us that he would give us a better deal for the inconvenience and the unprofessionalism. Instead of 17,900.00, he'd give us the car for 17,500.00. Whoa, aren't we lucky?!! Not!! We just laughed. The whole dealership is a joke and a scam!! They haggled us and assumed that we were stupid coming in. They've lost my business forever and they could just as quickly lose my number. It felt like harassment at that point. Just beware. Ask lots of questions. But really, you shouldn't have to explain to these people what you're looking for more than once!! I'll take my check where I am appreciated. We're not desperate or impatient.

I test drove 5 cars on Saturday; not ready to buy, just wanting to test drive to get an idea of what I liked and I ended up going home with a vehicle! I was astonished at the level of professionalism that we received from the moment we walked in. We worked with Eli Zabib and let me just say, if I need another vehicle, I will definitely visit him first! After four other dealers (one of which was another Kia), he was the only one who was willing to take the time to not only go through the entire car (top to bottom), but he was willing to work with my budget and legitimately showed me cars I could afford and be happy with. We got there around 4:45 and ended up leaving at 8:30 with a new car in tow. The entire time I was there I felt completely reassured that I was getting excellent service and a heck of a deal. As a woman in my late 20's shopping for a new car which was going to be on my dime for the first time (with my parents along for the ride), I greatly appreciated the way I was treated; not as someone who didn't understand how to purchase a vehicle or someone to talk over, but someone who was legitimate and needed a new car. I was never condescended to or treated any differently than say, my dad buying a car. This was a recurring theme throughout some of the other test drives and I can't tell you how happy it made me feel to be treated with respect. I absolutely ADORE my new Kia Soul and will be recommending the brand, the dealer and specifically Eli to my friends in the future.

Friendly sales staff that seems to be hampered by selective hearing issues occasionally, but super disappointed by the sales manager. We were simply looking for a straightforward financing deal on a car, but were treated in a way that was clearly based on testing our 3rd grade math skills. The initial financing offer put a nearly $19,000 premium on the car - we were shocked and have never seen anything like it. Over the course of three hours, we gave plenty of opportunity to correct the financing toward market pricing and were, in fact able to bring the gross price down by more than $5000, but we were not willing to pay more than $56,000 for a car that stickered for about $44,000, including $2,000 of markups that are part of the paint protection conversation scheme during the final conversation with the finance manager and a 2.9% financing offer over 75 months. It seems some of those add-on sales are now being added to the sticker in an effort to squeeze them into a sales deal quietly. We walked away with a sour taste and don't know if this is usual practice at Kia dealerships. So, it was no Stinger for us, but a Macan instead.

She spent the extra time to explain even the smallest details of how everything worked and why, which really impressed me and made me appreciate the car we bought even more. And the test track was awesome - really helped to be able to test out all the features.

I asked a simple question to the internet sales person Denis Michelson if he can hold a stock unit (2017 Kia Optima LX) for me for one night since I will be coming in the next morning to see it. I was even willing to put a deposit for the hold. He told me that by Illinois state law he cannot hold a unit for me, but will try to hide it well from the other sales rep until tomorrow. This is a blatant lie and for that I will never go back to this dealership. What ever happen to simple integrity and character. I still believe there are car dealerships out there that work on integrity service and pride. So frustrating... arrrggggg

I followed Quentin around and he has answered most of my questions and was truthful to me for certain questions he couldn't answer. Great people and will tell me people to come here. LIFETIME WARRANTY on selected coverage of course, but definitely worth a drop on by.

Dave was really great to work with. He thoroughly explained all the features as we took our test drive. The car I ended up purchasing did not have a feature I wanted but they go it ordered and in the shop within the week. I'm bringing my car back later this week to have it installed and they are giving me a loaner car to use so I'm not stuck there for a couple of hours.
