Went in on a snowy Saturday afternoon figuring I'd have to order the slightly weird-sized snow tires I wanted for my Mazda MPV and come back in a week or so. They didn't have them in the store, but they sent someone 35 miles or so to Clarkston, called me back in in an hour, and started installing. Partway through the install, the service manager showed me that they'd had a mis-ship, and that the tread pattern on one of the tires wouldn't match, but he'd send me home with the four tires they had so I could get traction today, and replace the "wrong" one when they open on Monday. He could have just let me go home with the slightly different tires, and I'd probably never know the difference, but a shop that can admit and fix a (minor) mistake is a shop I'll come back to again. [Update -- they installed the fourth tire as promised, in about 20 minutes.]

This Les Schwab has some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Everytime we go in there the lady who is usually at the front desk is angry and treats everyone terribly. She is not helpful and makes the customers feel like they are taking up her time. Not only is their customer service bad but their mechanical skills are bad. We had to go in 4-5 times because they couldn't figure out how to fix our tires that were still under warranty. I was very kind and respectful to them but the manager, Clayton, still laughed and sneered at me every time I responded to his accusations that it was my fault.

Normally I would give this Les Schwab a five but the I made an appointment for my brakes and told them that I knew they needed replaced. When I get there for my appointment they come to me after half an hour and tell me that yes my brakes need replaced but they can't do it that day because they forgot to put a hold on my parts and put them on a different car.

Brakes not done correctly and had to go back again to have pads repositioned. At the (overcharged) cost, they should have been done correctly. Customer service (ladies behind counter) are deplorably rude! Change management now before you run the location into the ground!!

One of the best Les Schwab tire centers I've been to yet. Got my tires put on at a different Les Schwab and had a shake over 65 mph. Took it here and my truck drives perfectly smooth. Also had my alignment and a leveling kit done here. Service is impeccable, and everything I've had done there is done right the first time.

I was driving home from my usual car service center after an expensive mileage check and tire swap. It's a 40 mile drive. A warning light had come on and the phone system at the service center was not working (again) and I couldn't ask them what to do. Never did get the phone connection. Fortunately, Les Schwab in Moscow welcomed me and checked my tires quickly! They were able to add the needed air and do the calibration that had not been completed. I left very happy ! Those Les Schwab commercials are really right. . .they get the job done!!

Probably the best tire shop on the Palouse. We tried online and a couple of others (Points being the other big shop) for my apartment mate's 2013 hyundai sonata GLS. They had by far the most options available and best customer service. We went to replace his front 2 tires because he busted the passenger side one. Because they had to order from lewiston, they gave us a loaner for the weekend and Monday. We saved $120 ($60 each) on two tyres including taxes and balancing. The place is great for customers with a welcoming environment (as much as a tire shop can be) with complementary coffee, popcorn and copies of the argonaut (good for vandals to catch up on their reading). The only two negatives I noted: 1) Our tyres arrived and they did not call us. 2) at the sales time, the salesperson mentioned including rotation and alignment in the price but only did balancing. However, it was still worth it for new tires.

Our tire literally broke off of our car on the freeway. The mechanic we had our car towed to said it was likely because the tire was improperly tightened. Additionally, the full sized spare that was sold to us has the wrong number of lugs. So, not only was our personal safety compromised, our vehicle damaged, and hundreds of dollars wasted on hotels, but our spare didn't even work. Yeah, not only 1 star, but I don't think I want anywhere near a Les Schwab again. Update: I just wanted to update this review. Les Schwab has officially sent us a letter stating that they will do nothing and will not repair or reimburse any damage done to our vehicle. Going to Les Schwab cost us over $3000 in damage. Not only that but we have to sit here and wonder when our rear tires are going to fall off until we can go to another tire center to have them replaced. The claims specialist who handled our request was Meaghan Lockling. They do not care, they will not help. We will never go to a Les Schwab again, neither will our family, my business, or anyone who we can talk to going to a safe and reputable place of business. Their negligence could have gotten us hurt or worse. Do not take your vehicles there, where it counts they will not help you.

I have been buying tires at Les Schwab exclusively since 1988. I have never had so many issues or been treated so indifferently as at the location in Moscow. Honestly, I was looking forward to doing business at a Les Schwab in a small community again. My wife and I were buying a new set of tires, a new set of wheels, and getting snow tires taken off across two vehicles. We showed up at 7:45 in the morning to drop the cars off before work. The first thing I noticed was no one greeted me on the way into the store. That was a Les Schwab first. And we were the only customers at the store. The women behind the counter were terse as well. Eventually, the transactions were planned, keys dropped off and away to work we went. That evening, we picked up both cars and drove home. Since my snow tires were not in my car, I went to my wife's car only to find they were there either. We had just purchased these tires at this same location at the beginning of the snow season, so there was no way they were accidently tossed. I drove back to the store, aggravated a bit, and asked the (terse) lady at the counter where my tires are? She told me they must have had a concern about putting the tires in the car and so they would be sitting over on the side of the building. She sent me off to find them myself. Sure enough, they were stacked out there with several other sets of tires. Apparently, they found no reason to tell me the location of the tires when I paid for all the services and picked up the cars. 2 weeks later, I started to take the wheels off the car that had the new wheels just purchased from Les Schwab. The wheels had been installed with splined lug nuts that could not be removed without a special socket. I am lucky I didn't find this out by getting a flat tire in the middle of no where. Completely disgusted with this center, I tried getting the correct tool at the other tire store here in town, but they said Les Schwab uses there own brand of spline lug nut and they would not be able to get it. So, today, I went back to Les Schwab to get the tool I needed. Once again, no greeting on the way in even though there were two guys working outside on cleaning pavement and vehicles. Once again, the same terse lady at the counter. No apology, no explanation. The only thing they did right was give me the socket for the splined nuts. I will never go back to this location again. I'd drive to Pullman before doing business at Moscow, but more likely I will just change stores. These guys are careless and could have stranded me with a flat tire. I would advise you to take your business down the road.

I wish I could give this business 0 stars. I had been nearly been in an accident when my vehicle hit a patch of ice and severely fish-tailed while driving on the highway. Afterwards, my vehicle started making a grinding noise while turning, so I called the Moscow Les Schwab. Customer service was terrible...I was passed off to three different people (on hold in between each one), and I had to keep re-explaining what was wrong each time. When I finally got the appointment made and took my vehicle in, the guy at the counter seemed to think it was more important to joke about how I nearly been in an accident than to listen to what was wrong with the vehicle. I thought this would be a simple thing, to drop off my vehicle and someone would determine what was wrong. When I returned, the drive line had been removed from my vehicle and I was told that it would have to be sent off to be rebuilt. The guy told me that I could still drive my vehicle but it would be front-wheel drive only. In snow, this proved to be incredibly dangerous and my vehicle kept drifting from one side to the other (even going 15 mph on the street). The driveline was "rebuilt" and replaced, but $800+ later, the grinding noise was still present and my vehicle was driving even worse on the highway. I called Les Schwab up to report that my vehicle was not repaired, and I was told a manager would call me back. Over a week later, still no phone call. (And, I got to drive slowly and poorly on the highway during this time!) I took my vehicle to another repair shop and discovered that the driveline wasn't the immediate problem: a tie rod was damaged, ball joints and control arm assembly had to come out, and the suspension needed extensive work. I was told that the driveline should have waited since it would endure more wear with the entire vehicle not being in alignment. After they did the repairs, my vehicle was finally in great working shape again and I was driving safely through the snow. I was rather furious that Les Schwab should have spotted such obvious issues with my vehicle, then maybe I wouldn't have to have the driveline replaced TWICE. I requested a refund from Les Schwab and they refused since I wouldn't come back to them. They didn't listen to me the first time or respond when I left them a call about my concerns with their "repair". I had to pay every dollar for the terrible, half-*ssed work they did. I do not trust them to work on my vehicle, especially when I need it to travel on the highway to work 5 days a week. Beware!

In the end they made it right but getting there was infuriating. We bought a brand new set of tires and wheels in December. Les schwab didn't have the original size so they recommended a slightly larger size. After having them installed the TPS warning light kept coming on. My wife took the car into the Lewiston location and was told that the tires sensors might not talk to the car so the warning light might just stay on. Then she took it into the Moscow location where the woman at the front counter was rude and dismissive to her. One of the techs attempted to solve the problem but was unable to and she was told to drive it around and see if the sensors would begin to communicate...they did not. I finally took the car back in to the Moscow location and a tech was able to solve the problem in about 10 minutes. In that final visit the staff was very helpful I just wish they had treated my wife with the same respect and attention that they treated me.

I was treated like dirt by the manager of this place. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Go anywhere else. Drive for hundreds of miles if needed to find somewhere else. Run from this place. You will get scammed and you will get treated like trash.

Generally speaking, Les Schwab's are a hit and miss based on ownership. This one is awesome. Never had a bad experience here always get what you pay for and they are eager to help. In July of 2017, I called them at 2 p.m. to see if they could replace ball joints and tires before a trip. Got me in same day and rolling out the door 2 hours later. Thanks for the help guys

Went in to get new tires because my fiance had both rear tires pop on my SUV yesterday. The tires were surprisingly bald. This was surprising because I purchased the tires used from a Les Schwab store in Spokane less than a year ago. I looked up the price of the tires online, and I had paid 75% of what the tires cost new. I only got around 11000 miles out of a pair of tires that were rated for 40000 miles. So I paid for 75% and got around 25%. While at the Les Schwab in Moscow, the gentlemen I spoke with went out to my vehicle and chided me over the front alignment being off. When I told him I got the alignment there he acted as if I was lying and asked if I had a receipt. Back inside when I showed him notes on my receipt that said the alignment was being done in Moscow, he quickly changed his tune and reminded me that alignments only had a 30 day warranty. He also pulled up the "cost" of 4 new tires of the same brand (why would I want the same tires anyway if they went bald at half of the rated tire use?) And tried to act if I had got an amazing discount on the used tires. I brought up that even at that price, I paid about 50% of the new cost and still only got 1/4 of the usage. He became extremely rude and finally told me "maybe next time don't by used tires". So I went in hoping to get an apology on being sold junk tires, to buy a new set of tires for my SUV, set up an appointment to get new tires for my fiances car, and get information on another two sets of winter tires for the upcoming winter. 4 sets of tires to zero because you wanted to be rude and couldn't apologize about screwing me over. I'll be purchasing my tires elsewhere from now on.

This is long overdue... a belated THANK YOU to the Moscow Les Schwab team. My wife was driving through northern Idaho when her vehicle started acting “unstable”, and wandering all over the road. She had recently had some major work done on the rear axle. She limped into Les Schwab’s. knowing that she was on a long trip, they worked her into the schedule and did an inspection. They quickly found the issue-missing bolt on the “pan hard bar.” The guys who could repair it worked through their lunch and got her safely back on the road in just over an hour! This is EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE, above and beyond. Thank you, thank you.

Overall, I've had fairly positive experiences with this Les Schwab. Unfortunately, this was not the case last week. Came in and had them replace a dead battery with a brand new one. Employee came out with a sad look on his face to let me know that they had to jump the car after replacing the battery and that it was likely the alternator. After taking it to a mechanic, guess what the actual problem was? The employee hadn't bothered to clean the connectors of some minor corrosion. Thankfully, the mechanic I took it to was kind enough to do that and send me on my way. ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM starting the car since and I consider myself warned. Don't trust anything these guys say on diagnosis, and don't repeat it to a mechanic (they could have totally hosed me on a new alternator and I would have been none the wiser).

So disappointed with the customer service here. Called several times and went in twice over the course of a week and each encounter was worse than the next. Aside from the very unfriendly service, was given bad info and told tires could not be charged to family account AFTER tires were put on. I called and spoke with bookkeeper next day who wasn't very helpful so I Told her I'd just have to figure it out on my own, at which point she just let out the biggest sigh in the world and hung up the phone. Tires they do well, but I think corporate needs to do a visit to conduct some customer service training. Usually only get service this bad at gas stations run by college students.

I have gone into this location many times and have had it hit or miss with customer service. After my recent visit I will never go back. I was asking the rep what kind of snow tires did they offer for my 09 Toyota camry le and he responds with "round ones" with no intention for a poor joke. This was the rudest customer service I have ever encountered. After looking at the prices they could offer I have no reason to ever come back especially considering places like Costco are far cheaper. I have had so many bad experiences with this entire chain I would avoid them all. The one in Boise tried to scam my friend and I and other people I have talked to had similar experiences. Just avoid this chain for the rude customer service and high prices.

So disappointed with this location. I have lived in Seattle and Central Washington and always had Les Schwab as my go-to tire people for the past 30+ years. In October last year we blew a tire and had the car towed into this dealership. I bought 4 tires, but ask for something that would last a few years since I didn't know how long I would keep this car. They sold me some for about $700, but they did not carry a warranty. My bad because I figured, this is Les Schwab - they have to be OK tires. Although I had never heard of tire without any warranty, I bought these. In May of 2016 I had the car serviced at my dealer who suggested I better get tires very soon as those are almost completely shot. I was shocked and called Les Schwab where I was told in no uncertain terms that I bought tires that carried no warranty and they are sorry. I also found out that they didn't align the tires which probably added to the quick demise. I'm having these tires replaced tomorrow (11 months old) at the dealership for the same money as I wasted here with a 55k warranty, alignment and balancing. Two stars because I think they warm and nice people. Three stars off because they suckered me and sold me junk. My bad for buying without a warranty, but I will never return to Les Schwab and I've been telling all my local friends to be cautious. Incidentally, in the conversation I had with the person that identified them-self as the manager, I got some serious attitude and push-back. Not at all what I expected on what I feel was a legitimate gripe. As a side note, I have yet to find anyone else that is selling tires with no warranty.

I have used Les Schwab in the past and had a wonderful experience, but when I went yesterday to fix a flat, I was talked down to and criticized. The only reason I needed them to fix it is because I do not have a space to patch a tire myself, which I know how to do, so it was frustrating to be talked down to.

We came in expecting a huge bill to get our brakes done (another shop in town insisted they needed to be done right away) and les Schwab told us that while we would need it done soon, there was no rush and could easily go another few months at least. He then let us go back and took the brakes off our car in front of us to show us exactly what he saw. We wont be going anywhere else in moscow.

I took a turn off for gas sign. Had I stayed on 95 it goes rite thru that town. I could not understand the highway signs at the 4 way. I went past yo36 the hill to this place and the guy told me go down the hill and the truck Dr would take me to 95. Trouble is there is no sign. I went the wrong way. Was lost for 5 miles. Had to bug a farmer in a field.
