Came in for a wheel swap. They gave me my car back with one wheel stud completely snapped off and another severely stripped. Was told another shop would help with the repair and when I called the other shop told me that wasn't true. I wasn't gonna leave a negative review because I usually keep to myself, but I just opened the boxes for my older wheels and found that the center caps are missing. Super annoying. I paid more for repairs and replacements out of my own pocket than the service was even worth.

I had a flat in Mapunapuna, changed to my spare, google mapped the nearest tire shop & Discount tires popped up a mile away. I walked in with no appointment and they took me right in, changed my flat, balanced it and put it on my car. After that I went back to get my other three replaced. I had bought tires from here a few years ago from the previous owners so when I needed 2 new tires I called them first and got them here for a great price. They had them mounted and balanced in no time. The new owners have made some really good updates to the setup and the added air conditioned waiting area is a plus! Shopped around, got quotes from 5 stores and landed with these guys: $60 a tire(new), fair labor costs, and only a $5 tire disposal fee(Usually $10 at other shops) I was in and out within 10 minutes, their techs were friendly, gave me some insight on what to do to avoid excess/uneven wear. Overall a pleasant experience.

This store is a 'Knock Off' and IS NOT affiliated with the mainland Chain!!!! As a loyal Discount Tire Customer from the mainland I went out of my way to do business at this store. A simple tire repair and they damage my alloy rim and don't say anything about it. I should have turned around and left after being greeted by a haze of cigarette smoke and perhaps the filthiest tire store in memory. Not to mention all four of them milling around the tire machine itself, but had to go to lunch and couldn't repair my tire while I waited....It was 11:46am after all !!!! Island services are generally substandard but this place is the worst I've experienced so far. Costco, Lex Broadie, or Goodyear, anywhere but this place!

The picture was taken from a different angle, not actually facing the entrance so you don't see the store/garage front. Was referred by a friend at a dealership a few years back. Been getting my tires from them ever since. Customer service is fairly average for a locally run business. When they're not too busy, cars/trucks go in and out pretty fast. Will continue to get my tires from here. (2007 Chevrolet Colorado)

Came to change 1 tire on my 20in rims cause I had a nail in it,and firestone said it isn't patchable. But when I brought it in and showed them the tire, they said,they could patch it so they did it no charge. Gave the guy who did it a nice tip! Everybody happy. I went there to find my tire size and they told me no more shipment will be in on Monday we will call you on Monday. Monday came and there was no call, so Tuesday morning I called to ask if they were any news on my tire size yet she tells me "no not yet sorry" I just said thank you bye I didn't want to hear something one day and then wait and find out no more like are you kidding me...

This store is not associated with the discount tire franchise on the mainland. I've done a lot of business with discount tire on the mainland and they're a respected company. Here, I was sold a "road hazard" warranty but they didn't tell me that the manufacturer provides a similar warranty. In my case, Walmart sells the same tire for about $50 less than what I paid here.

Craig and his staff is amazing! This is my 2nd time here cause hawaii road sucks and my luck with sharp objects sucks. It's a first come first serve basis which is fine, it's Friday morning 930 im in and out. They don't charge to plug your tire, But their service and easy going staff pretty much won me over, ill be coming back to them for all my future tire needs. Again amazing staff, and service.

Best alternative to the membership club warehouse stores. Unlike those big stores, this place does full tire service to include alignment. Another plus is that they use regular air not that nitrogen stuff.

I went there cause their tires were cheaper then every where else I called. the service was super fast . But after leaving the shop my car kept saying check tires they filled my tires to all different psi levels all in the 40s when there suppose to be in the 30s. Then my wheel would shake while on the freeway so I took my car into Goodyear come to find out they never even balance my tires

So my car is getting off a boat from Washington state and the tires are BAAAAALD. Safety check is already expired, and registration is due in 1 week. What do I do? I called Costco tire - Iwilei never answered, and another location quotes me $650+. I used yelp to ask for quotes from a bunch of tire places and Discount Tire was the first to respond AND Craig called me on the phone too because I didn't have a lot of information on my car (I wasn't sure exactly WHAT submodel it was), he gave me a general quote that maximum it would be $200 cheaper than what Costco told me. I drove down at about 8:30 am (someone always answers the phone which I appreciate) I almost missed the turn, it's right AFTER REGAL BAKERY, like you're gonna park to the left of regal. They're the 2nd opening on the left - a small garage, but they have a AC waiting room with a few chairs and some good reality TV. And a Keurig. So get yourself a donut at Regal and hang out, cause they're fast, it's while-you-wait and it took maybe 1 hour to do the 4 tires and alignment. I opted for the 3 year warranty ($10/tire) and the alignment, so it totaled about $100 less than costco quoted me, would've been much less if I didn't get that extra stuff, buy hey. I hope I never have to come back haha. Craig and his team were were extremely nice to me and my mom, it was a lot less stressful than lining up at Costco at 7:30am. Only time will tell about how the Toyo brand tires do, but I have a feeling everything will be fine. Best place for all your wheel and tire needs. Craig and the rest of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Guarantee the best price for name brand tires on island. They also do wheel alignments for a fraction of the price that Sears charges. Just make sure to let them know if you’re getting recon so they can give you the proper paperwork needed for the inspection.

Prices are good, friendly staff who are working endlessly churning out car after car. It's next to Regal Bakery, which you can see from the street side (go before 1:30pm and pickup a drink or donut while you wait!)

I just got off the phone with this shop. I specifically requested for NITTO NT 555 to go on my Infiniti G35. They tried to sell me cheap none brand name tires. Then the lady was rude when as I asked when can they get my specific tires. I could barely get a word in edge-wise and was hung up on. No one in my unit will ever go to this establishment and I am currently on hold to talk to Discount Tire corporate office. I will not tollerate being belittled by anyone. Now to look at black listing this place so no military member will ever go there again. You really shouldnt have hung up on this Senior Military service member.

Worst Service Ever! I went to Discount Tire today (3050 Ualena Street, Honolulu, HI) to get new tires for my custom 1964 VW Bus. I pull in and the mechanic jacks up my bus and begins working, then the manager (Clarence) comes out yelling... "STOP! That car is illegal!" So I get my title, registration & paperwork from Honolulu Department of Transportation showing my car is legal and classified as a "Street Rod". I also gave them the phone number to RECON so they could verify with David at DoT that it was legal. After about 10 minutes, they verified it was legit and that it was ok so the mechanic began working on my tires again. After pulling one off, he couldn't figure out how to get my spinner knock off hubs off the rim, so the manager came over and told me "you do it!". I thought he was joking, as I was standing there in my board shorts and slippas...I said, "you want me to do it?" He said, "you give me attitude, get out of my shop!" I told him all I wanted was new tires. And asked him if we could agree to complete the job. He said "get out of my shop!" I could not believe it! The mechanics and the receptionist all were staring in disbelief too. I asked him "do you treat all of your customers that way?" He said "yep...I sure do!" Just thought I'd let you know the horrible service is not worth the "discount"! I am letting all of my friends and family as well as several car clubs I am a member of to never do business with Discount Tire. If you are the owner of this business, I would seriously consider reprimanding this manager for his behavior. This is completely unacceptable!
