Been coming here since I moved to Wilmington two years ago. Brad is a delight! I have minimal car knowledge, so I appreciate that he is direct and will tell you things straight up. [I kind of suspect that some of the negative reviews on here are a "kill the messenger" situation and they just didn't like the fact that their car needed work idk...] The prices are reasonable (got a good deal on tires last December) and Brad has shown mercy on me when I've brought in my car for extremely inane reasons that I should probably be able to handle myself (for example, replacing bulbs and once, a broken gas cap lol). James and Jason are also A+ dudes. I kind of think everyone who works there are major car guys (unlike Pep Boys and other chains that just hire anybody off the street), so I trust em. Plus - shop local + support small businesses! P.S. Don't come on Saturdays bc that's when I bring my car and it's busy enough as it is.

We were new to the Wilmington and were looking for a local garage we felt comfortable with and could trust. The work they do will be done right and they provide feedback on needed services. I'm not a mechanic so I depend professionals to guide me in this area. Brad and his team do a great job!

I'd have awarded zero stars, but apparently it won't post without at least one. Said more than $700 in "essential" repairs were needed to fix minor fluid leaks in a 14-year-old car, then messed up the transmission while replacing its gasket. Their reply to my complaint? "Well, it's an old car." Used them for years and will NEVER go back.

They told me that my car needed more than $5000 worth of work. After spending a small percentage of that amount, it passed a multi-point inspection from the dealer with flying colors. What a rip off!

I'm disappointed. I booked an appointment online on their website only to show up and be rudely told "we don't do appointments and there's 15 cars ahead of you. If you really want anything done you need to show up at 8am." Complete waste of my time.

The guys here fixed my car after another repairmen installed a defective part. They were so helpful in the bind I was in (traveling), and the mechanic I worked with worked it out with my other mechanic for me to be reimbursed the expense. The front desk associate was rude and demeaning. Having previously used the same Groupon for an oil change a few months back, I recently bought another one to use. However, when I went to redeem it the associate dismissively stated it was invalid for the type of car I own and I couldn't use it. The car hasn't changed so somewhere someone screwed up. Wouldn't bother if I were you.

Took a friend to pick up her car which had been there for several days for repairs. Parking lot is not veru big so there is very little room to maneuver. Anyway all of the necessary repairs hadn't been completed so the next day I picked her up again after she dropped it off.

Foulk Road Automotive is an exceptional Automotive Service Center. All of the Service Technicians are highly skilled, and not only do the services you request, but also bring to your attention other potential issues with your vehicle that you may want to consider doing in the future. The Manager, Brad is both knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the work that needs to be done in layman terms. I've been taking my cars to this facility for the last five years and I wouldn't go to any other place. They are reasonably priced, and give expedient service.

Looking for information for estimate for sun roof repair. I called because found information via internet stating they do repairs. Someone named Chris answered the phone. He was extremely rude and appeared to bothered and in a hurry. He said the add was false from years ago. Due to his attitude, I WAS HAPPY they no longer offer the services. THEY NEED TO LOOK INTO HAVING IT REMOVED.

I see lots of negative reviews about this shop and I had same experience. Guy at front desk(I guess his name is Brad) is rude and rough. He does not how to deal with people. I do not see why people should go to this shop. You can get things done better. He will spoil your car. I would give -1 review.

Great place to take your car! They are very honest and will accommodate you! Brad (the manager) is the absolute BEST and will not beat around the bush! They give you what you need here and don't try to persuade you into getting extra services you don't need! I love going here!

Spoke to a guy at the counter, I gave him the pet name "Rough Road." Don't know if his arrogance makes him think it makes him better at his job, but it was just noise to the other customers and I. He gave an incorrect assessment of my vehicle as well. Glad I got a second opinion. Rough Road's repair quote was crazy expensive (even with the unnecessary, and unneeded repairs he added). He gave me partially accurate info though, so thanks for that I guess. Also, when Rough Road told me with a smug expression "you won't find a better price" he through in a free expressed his Very wanted opinion; not caring for the potential customer's business. . . Overall, my impression is the place is sub-par and will probably use zip ties to hold your muffler up. Best wishes Rough Road.

He gives you the information and his professional opinion but let's you decide on the service you want done. These guys actually know what they are doing and care about your vehicle. Very disappointed. Call them a day before I took my car to them and talked to a gentleman name Brad. He gave me an estimate for the job over the phone and even though it was slightly overpriced, I made an appointment with them. The next day I had to skip my school and drive 20 miles to get there. On my way to their shop I called them. The same person (Brad) told me that they cannot get my car done the same day since they got unexpected more important jobs that they make more money off of. He told me that he was sorry, he did not ask my permission for taking a $2500 dollar and a $1400 dollar job and he said that he was "joking" when he told me to bring my car tomorrow. Don't suggest the shop at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Wasted one day of my work. It is very unprofessional, although this job would not have given them $2500, there were other family members of mine that would have used their service pending my review. Obviously that wont happen now.

I rarely write reviews, but I was very frustrated after this, and felt that I needed to share my experience. I'm a resident physician so I often can't find time to attend to car maintenance. My car needed an oil change, and I thought to try them again as my first experience with this establishment was great. They now have this option to book an appointment online, so I managed to find a time that worked for me. I came to the front desk at my appointment time, but was rudely dismissed and was told that "no, we don't make appointments, and I already have 8 cars ahead of you, we can't do it today." I replied back that I did make an appointment and continued to be rudely dismissed. I then proceeded to SHOW THEM my email receipt with the appointment time and confirmation. They made up an excuse and said they weren't sure how this happened, but since I had the email, they would change my oil today. I asked them if they were sure they had enough time as I needed to be at work early tomorrow and couldn't leave my car to be serviced the next day. He said "definitely, it'll be done by the end of the day." So I go back to work, and come back at the end of the day. GUESS WHAT. They said they didn't have time, and didn't service my car. He seemed apologetic, but at this point, I was done. Extremely unprofessional to treat a customer that way (don't mansplain to me), clearly this place can't handle the bare bones technological advancement of online scheduling, and they can't keep their promises. I am really disappointed because I had a great first interaction with them. However, after this, I will not be using this establishment for my auto maintenance unless I have no other option.

F.R.A. did what Brad said they would do. Never any issues with F.R.A. or Brad, though a lube, oil and filter for our F250 is quite pricy at $186.00

I would NOT recommend this place. A service light came on in my car and they explained what the problem was. Then the light immediately came back on shortly after. The unprofessional staff member at the front desk got defensive and then said it was a different issue. I did not have a nice experience and I was displeased with the unprofessional attitude at the front desk. He remained on the phone every time I was there, even when he was supposed to be finishing up with me. He seemed very rude and I was not satisfied with the service.
