They have a customer for life. Wow, great service. The gentleman who took care of me was fantastic. Had a blow out, so had the spare on the truck and needed a used tire to get me through until I could replace all four. I pulled up while the tech was on break and asked if he had a tire that fit. He ended his break on the spot, walked around back and came back with a tire in his hands. He had the tire on the my rim within minutes, and then even cranked the spare back under the truck. Seriously, it was 15 minutes from the time I pulled in until I was pulling back out. The used tire wasn't in the best shape but it will certainly do the job. The price was very fair as well. These guys look rough and tumble, but hey, it's a tire shop, not a jewelry store. I will be buying 4 new michelins from the in a couple weeks. Drive right by Town Fair and go to City Tire.

Hi pals hope all are doing good I always used to go to tire city for all my tire issues but what happened today was extremely unexpected I had a flat in my tire so when I went and requested for a flat repair Eli had taken my request and he made a job card and requested the service people and this all went on my observation the service guy his Name is CISCO told in front that he can't do my car that was very rude when there was no car for any work that was very rude always I visit jay and Eli are always friendly but the service man Cisco sucks Ian not going to visit this place any time

Just a wonderful experience here. Our car had a leak in a front tire that began today when we were driving home. My husband & I called numerous tire places for help but none were available (this happened to be the Saturday of the New Year holiday weekend). I left a message at Tire City in East Hartford because they had great reviews & were also recommended by another place that only serviced trucks. Not only did they promptly call us right back, they said they would be able to help us as long as we arrived by 3pm since they close @4. We arrived at 3, they fit us in & at 4, the leak was plugged & we were all set! They also refused to accept any payment for doing this job! I had an excellent first experience at Tire City in East Hartford. I called around the area looking to have new front tires installed on my 2016 Camry. Tire City had the Continental tires i was looking for in stock, and despite it being late on a busy Friday afternoon, I was able to walk in, have the tires installed and rotated, and was out the door in about 30 minutes. The gentleman who assisted me was friendly and knowledgeable, he helped me get the right tires for my needs with no up-selling, and pricing was fair and straightforward. My car is driving great and I will definitely return to Tire City when it's time to replace the second set. 2019 UPDATE: I just stopped by Tire City to have them fix a slow leak in one of my tires (not one of the Conti’s). It was a busy Saturday and the wait was supposed to be 2 hours, so I’m hanging out in my car waiting for maybe 30 minutes before one of the guys comes over to look at the tire. Took him all of maybe 2 minutes to find and remove the screw that caused the leak. Without me asking he checks and inflated all 4 tires to the correct pressure, then when I went to pay him he told me they do this type of work for free! Can’t say enough about the excellent service and honest advice you get at Tire City. I won’t take my car to anyone else.

The experience coming to this business was surprisingly, excellent!! I brought my car here for a last minute, tire issue and was blown away by the exceptional service I received. I was greeted by the owner, right away, and he began troubleshooting the problem within seconds. Upon entering the business, you immediately notice how organized,and clean, and the items were for sale (rims, tires, etc.)were perfectly displayed. A friend who accompanied me was interested in their beautifully gleaming rims on display, and one of the employees gave him knowledgeable feedback, on all his ??'s. He also showed him various examples of what he was looking for, covering all his options. What was surprising was the patient, professional manner he had in helping him.My car was fixed for a GREAT price, promptly, by friendly, approachable staff.This business has raised the bar, for other auto businesses, and I'll be referring friends, family, my clients here. The service at Tire City was amazing! My friend and I got a nail in one of our tires on the highway and manged to make it to a local service station which directed us to Tire City. We were immediately attended to and taken care of. Everyone was friendly and super professional. From the moment we drove in to the moment we walked out was no more than 35 minutes. It was the best tire replacement experience I've ever had!

Received great service and didn't even ask for it. I had to stop by since I noticed they had a free air pump for tires, which was needed since the tire pressure sensor on my car was acting up and I planned to reset it manually. One of the workers came outside (it was after the store had closed) and offered to help. Within a few minutes they checked the pressure in all the tires and helped me reset the senors on the car. The worker didn't even ask for payment but I insisted on giving him some cash for his work and time. Definitely a great experience and fully plan to return there in a few months when I plan to purchase a new set of tires.

I recently worked on my car and replaced a number of parts in the rear end which required an alignment. I purchased my tires from Tire City a couple of years ago, and I recall having a good experience. Brought my car back to Tire City to have the tires rotated, balanced, along with the alignment. For a little over a hundred bucks, there's a good price to have this work done. Wait time was fine, about an hour or so for the work to be completed. I was even promised a front end alignment after I had some work done to the front end, as there were some mechanical issues needed to be addressed. However, when I took receipt of my car, there were problems. My electronic driver side seat was raised as high and forward as mechanically possible. All of my interior lights were turned on. My windshield wipers were put in the on position. I have no doubt this was done intentionally. I'm not sure why. I was extremely polite, and thankful. Bottom line, this treatment was unacceptable. I can't recommend Tire City based on my experience. I won't do business with Tire City again.

We got there at 5:30 pm and we needed a plug for the tire, and even though they closed in 30 minutes, he said we can fit you in. They took the car into the garage and plugged it in 10 minutes. I was at Tire City this afternoon (4/6/19). I was getting a 4 wheel alignment for a Super price ONLY $60.00!! The mechanic Dante checked all the wheels and found a shaky front drivers side wheel!! He advised me to get it checked out first before he would do the alignment. I want to give Dante and Tire City a big compliment for not going ahead and doing the alignment with the shaky wheel!! I would recommend Tire City to anyone honest, caring place to do business with!! Thank you very much for caring about my safety instead of ONLY MONEY!! I will be back to get my alignment as soon as I get the wheel fixed!! I can’t wait! to see Dante again! I also want to give compliments to Jay and Mike, also for being kind, caring and professionals! Bought Continental tires for my 2011Suburban replacing OEM Bridgestones, they commented at time of changeover how even the ware on my original tires with 65K on them and they were surprised by the amount of tread left on tires. That said, just under 30K miles later and my Continentals with stated 6 Years / 70,000 Miles warranty look almost as bad as my original equipment tires looked with 65K on them. Stopped in to see them and they asked me how many times I have had the alignment done, stating it was done when tires were done the guy behind the counter spewed a line of crap a mile long on how not only do the tires need to be rotated but the vehicle needs to be re-aligned every 10K and they could do nothing as I did not maintain the tires properly. Incredibly disapointed they would not even discuss it with Continental, found another dealer that would and got 50% off toward a new set. Needless to say Mike, I wont be back. Been to your shop over 10 times in the past 6 years when the older gentleman that passed away was on site, bought every time and have sent numerous people to you. DONE - wont be back. You should have at least taken pictures and sent off to Continental and gotten a NO before trying to sell me new tires way before I should have needed them. Your blame game does not work on everyone.

Excellent service. I stop by just about closing time to ask a question about my tire that was losing air constantly and to my surprise I was not turned away. The gentleman took the time to check my tire which turned out to have a tiny hole which was causing my tire to lose air. I was so relieved to find out the root of the problem seeing that I went to Goodyear tire downtown Hartford three times and was told by them that there is nothing wrong with my tire and someone is playing with me. They have extremely competitive pricing but what sets them apart is the service - these guys know their wheels and tires! I have used them twice to get new tires on my S4 and never a problem. They take care to ensure your wheels aren't damaged and everything is done correctly. I have recommended them to both friends and family for tire replacement on factory wheels and expensive aftermarket wheels and they have all had a positive experience. Forget online websites and chain tire stores, go here and you won't be disappointed!

I recently had Tire City mount, balance and align a set of expensive Pirelli tires on my wife's SUV. She brought it to my attention when I got home from work that she noticed some scratches on one of the rims. Sure enough, there was a perfectly machined scratch around one entire rim and a similar looking but not nearly as bad scratch on another rim. I returned to Tire City and spoke to Michael, the owner, a seemingly helpful person. He agreed that it wasn't caused by a curb or driving. He said that he would get back to me after reviewing the cameras in the shop. He called me back the next day and said that there wasn't any signs of negligence or of one of his technicians trying to hide it. Okay, well isn't it possible that it happened by accident and no one noticed the scratches if they were working quickly or if the lighting was poor? I understand accidents happen but I just spent $1050 and got a ruined rim back in return! Perhaps a quick wipe down of the equipment and the rims with all the sand and salt from the winter would have avoided this. He offered me free future services that I will opt not to take as a repeat customer. This is totally unacceptable and I'll be looking elsewhere for my future tire needs!

Recently had a flat on one of my truck tires. I pulled in the see if they could fix it. Not only were they able to fix it they didn't even charge me for the repair. They do that as a free service. Here's the situation: driving from Boston to Philly for Christmas. A tractor trailer accident on the mass pike means it takes over 5 hours to reach CT. Then, the mother of all pot holes takes out 4 cars in a row on 84. Tires are shredded, and it feels like my alignment is done. We search up tire service in east Hartford and try to drive on the shoulder for 1/2 to reach the ramp. By the time we pull in, the lights are off, but someone is still inside. Michael comes out, take a look at the car, and says 'let's look at it.' This was a Christmas miracle! Michael bends back a bent rim, switched wheel to the back, and didn't charge us. Thank you, Michael, for making sure my family could get home for Christmas!
