While visiting Milford from Lancaster PA. I wasn't comfortable driving 234 miles home with my tires so after calling around from Milford about 45 miles away I decided to go with Plan B...for the price I paid for a set of used tires which by the way were probably about a year old saved me probably 400 dollars vs. buying new...I will get 50000 mi.out of these tires.... bought them two years ago and will get another two years..I will actually drive 200 miles to go there and get my next set of used.... awesome service

I've been twice to this location. Once to have my tires replaced. I was given options (which was appreciated!) ... Both new and used. The second time I was there with a different car. Ricardo told me I had a little more time on my current set despite what if been told by a gas station attendant. Who does that? I sent my reluctant husband to Plan B because we couldn't afford the 2 new tires our car needed because 1 tire had a total blowout. When he came with 2 practically new tires that had been balanced, and rotated with the rest, for the cost of 1 new tire at the "big guys", he happily told me that he would never but a "new" tire again. The staff were friendly and courteous, the shop was clean, and the service was great! Thanks Plan B!! you saved our bank account!

Great costumer service! I went to both locations and they are just so nice. I like the fact it's family owned. They never tried to up sale me on anything. I went in there looking for a spare tire and rim and that's what I got. When I need service in the future, this is the place I want to go. Screw all those big corporations that only cares about numbers. This is a place who really cares about service. Also very cheap compared to other places. I won't go any other place but Plan B it will always be Plan A for me.

I called plan b and was able to get in get 4 used (barely) Goodyear tires and an alignment for under 300. And the woman working at the counter was so friendly. They got me in and out. No appointment. I went the first time in an emergency situation with tire issue and found them to be really friendly and not any of that hard-faced no-personality that too many of these types of shops usually have. I can't remember his name right now but each time I went a young but very professional guy very down to earth, easy going, friendly, helpful. I told them I didn't want to spend much on tires because I might sell my 2001 vehicle. Right away, he took me in back and suggested used tires actually telling me no sense buying new or even really good used ones. he explained CT law will not allow sale of used tires under a certain amount of thread wear and also some people just don't like how some tires look so they take them off almost right away which makes them "used" category. It was such a good offer and suggestion I went for 4 tires. That saved me like $200-$300 if I had gone to any tire place in the area for 4 tires. Those tires have been just fine going on 5 months now and hike and explore sometimes in forests where no pavement. My RAV4 over time must have had muffler rusted on a hinge and came off while driving slow on dirt mountain road. One place quoted $800-1000 telling me whole system would need to be done. Again, "I'll just sell" I assumed but I called these guys and asked if they do that kind of work or just tires. Bring it in let's take a look is what they said. He did confirm it would need whole replacement because unfortunately the particular point at which in came unhinged which was bad news. But he could try to weld it where the bracket rusted off and separated the pipe from muffler part. He was honest it probably would only last 2-3 months just a temp fix and it could even fall apart within days. It's been absolutely fine for months now and even if it fell apart today it was so worth it. I'm writing today because I just had my car towed from house to Plan B didn't hesitate to call them and send over because likely need a new starter. I know it'll get fixed with quality and no worries someone is trying to add on costs just to take advantage of someone's predicament. I'm not suggesting they'll do things next to nothing but they will no doubt try their best to work without your budget and be honest what you really will get for that. If you are the type who wants higher end product and service they've got that covered too of course. They have some amazing tires if you have nice car with higher end tires so this isn't just for budget people. This, in my opinion, is how a garage should be run. You come in get a real friendly person who is willing to work with your budget not one bit of any pressure to make big budget decisions on the spot. I can't say enough about these guys. I don't know enough about the area to say if they are the best or do the best work but they are very good at what they do and you just can't beat the overall experience. They will work with people who want only the best tires and willing to pay that higher end budget but they are equally nice and helpful to someone just needing reasonable solutions at a price they can manage. I actually decided to keep my RAV4 rather than sell because of the savings I got from the 4 tires, muffler fix, battery/starter. My car is in good shape for its year and low mileage so it's just great to have a place I can go to and fix simple things without getting into ridiculous price quotes. This area is growing fast and being overtaken with that metroNYC attitude towards business and customer service. This is like a throwback to friendly mechanics actually willing to help you out but it's not old mechanics ready to retire but young guys working with you and within your budget. I won't be surprised to see Plan B start opening up several garages because they have a great mix of personality, customer service, product, good mechanics, and budget flexibility.

An employee here scammed me. I bought a hitch and when setting up the trailer I was renting he said my hitch was the wrong size he even went as far as creating a show to "prove" my hitch was the wrong size... I don't know much about hitches and when I showed my dad he tested my hitch and it worked perfectly. Since I was on a time crunch the shady employee offered to sell me his hitch for $40, which retails at $20, but I thought I was in a bind so I went for it. All in all it was a setup all a long. This business is super shady and will scam you. Avoid them like the plague.

I went to plan b tires because the customer service is great but I'm sorry I can give only one star on there service I got two new front tires and with a free mount and balance, but let me tell you one thing there equipment must be outdated my steering wheel shook like never before so now I'm at Honda of Danbury having to pay 40.00 to get a correct mount and balance done because plan b couldn't do it correctly. Even after going there a second time!!!! Come on plan b Get it together.

Picked up a nail in a 315/30/20 R888R on a Saturday afternoon and called this place out of desperation. Lady answering the phone will tell you that they have a touch free mounting machine for low profile tires/custom forged wheels if you call. Asked 3x's to avoid the risk of damaging a $2k wheel. After walking in she takes me into the back to ID the machine for myself. The minute you pull in and see the place, you realize the name should be Plan Z. The back area near the bays will induce flashbacks of Kabul. Don't waste your time, the place is a dump and the person answering the phone will lie.

I went here for the first time last week because I just needed 1 tire. The guy that helped me was great. He was personable and not the typical robot employee. I enjoyed the friendly resident dog's company while I waited and ended up walking out of there with the same exact tire model that needed to be replaced so all 4 tires on my car still match. After reading the posted prices I thought the total would be about $55 but ended up with a bill of $44.

This place is cool, the prices are reasonable (for outside of NYC), truly the best place for tires, used or new, much less expensive than Mavis. They can sometimes nickel and dime you, charging to mount the TPMS stems on a new tire ($30), wouldn't you have to mount the old one-same process? Anyways, still would recommend.

If you have a hole in your tire, COME HERE. Great people working here. It's good to come here and get a break from all of the major chains of tires places. They patched my tire when other places plugged it improperly. Their alignment was good. $100 for my truck. Competitive with others. It still pull right but I'm sure if I went back and told them they would take care of it. At least now when I point the wheel straight my truck goes straight. They also have nice used tires. I'd recommend this as a switch from those giant tire places any day.
